I too saw this on the news. That is one special young man. And he lives with his parents. They must be over the moon proud of him.

Please remember; a lot of you do so many nice things for others all the time. I've seen your stories.

So many of you are just like that sweet (and adorable!) cop. Carry on.

I've seen a lot of people saying that this was a pre-planned photo op for the cop. Made me sad.

While I think this a sweet story, I have to say, as a teacher I as well as my colleagues have done this over and over for children who do without. From buying a kid hearing aid batteries, to clothes and especially school supplies, we do it everyday.

This is the love of Christ in action.

Yes, Dee, we teachers often pitch in to meet student needs. I'm sure this officer didn't intend for his act of compassion to go "viral". He did it for the same reasons we bring in coats, mittens, clothes, school supplies, hearing aids, etc. for our students. He saw a need and decided to do something about it because he could.

The latest from where? And I guess to me it wouldn't really matter...the story is about the kindness of one man toward another. That part doesn't change...

Yes, the homeless one sold the shoes.

I hope that the Officer stays unjaded.
