I see that the Sketch books are now available in the download form. I was curious if that means they are not going to make them in print form anymore. I am probably the only person that doesn't own an IPAD or Kindle, etc and would be devastated if I couldn't get these (and any future volumes) in print form. I am hoping that they will still be sold now and in the future in print form, as I am a hard copy kinda girl. Just curious if Debbie or Stacey could speak out and let me know. Plus if they are not going to be in print, I want to make sure I buy them up now as I am still missing a couple of the volumes. Thanks so much!

I believe I read that they will be available in both formats, print and download. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi, AvonPooh, your question is very timely! Here's what I put on our blog yesterday. I think you'll like the answer.

"We're happy to announce that Scrapbook Generation will publish two new sketches books to coincide with winter CHA in mid-January.

These two books, and all future SG books, will be available in the traditional print format, and also in the new downloadable eBook format. In addition, plans are for both of these new print books to include color photos of sample layouts for all the sketches, which is a new direction for us. Like the print books, eBooks will also include the sample layouts.

One of the new books we release in January will be a one-page, one-photo volume by Debbie Sanders. Each of the sketches will feature one uncropped 4x6 or 6x4 photo, with lots of layering of papers and embellishments.

The second new book will feature double-page layouts by Allison Davis and Debbie Sanders. It is a unique venture that involves a partnership we will announce jointly later in December. We can't wait to tell you the full details!"

To add to the above, our 13 original books will still be available in print. They are best-sellers for us and we have no intention of ever not selling them. We released volumes 1-7 of Sketches for Scrapbooking in eBook form recently, with no changes in the content, for the people who like that format, including our international customers who struggle with shipping costs of the traditional print books.

We'll soon release volume 8 of Sketches for Scrapbooking in an expanded eBook form containing the original 30 sketches, 30 variations with 5x7s, 30 variations with 8x10s, plus Allison and I have created sample layouts for the 30 original sketches. We have plans to also release the travel book and the card sketch books as eBooks with sample layouts and cards as well.

Bottom line, we'll continue to do both -- traditional print books and eBooks on everything we do from now on.

Can't wait to announce the company we're working with on the special double-page book we'll have out in January!

Debbie

I'm hoping it's Basic Grey since 99.5% of my layouts are made with SG sketch books and Basic Grey supplies

Hi Debbie,

As one of those international scrappers, I really appreciate this. International shipping is so expensive (everywhere I mean, not just on your site) and I would much rather spend my scrapping budget on supplies rather than postage. I will definitely be treating myself to a few once Christmas is over! I'm particularly excited about your new 'one 4x6 photo per page' book

Oh my goodness...two "Debbie Fans" in one post! Now she's going to get the big head.

I'm excited that we're going to be offering both print and downloadable versions. The downloads are so convenient, and awesome to be able to provide to not only US gals but to those international girls who get stuck with awful postage costs. However, there is a traditionalist inside me that still loves actually being able to have that print version in my hands. Win/win for sure!

Thanks...you guys are so nice!

I'm really having a good time with this new book. It took going back through my childhood photos to realize that my parents usually only took one photo of anything, so that's what got me interested in one-page, one-photo layouts.

A little off topic, but still SG related.... Did anyone ever find out what happened with the sketch support site? I am missing it terribly!

I'm so excited about the sample LOs being included! That was the one thing that I was missing from. Your awesome sketches! Can't wait to see the new books! Will the vol8 ebook be all double pages?
