I've been looking at the rhinestone starter kit for a long time, and now that it's 40% off (I know, I know, it's been 40% off all week, but I'm kind of a procrastinator) I think I'd like to get it - just one question: can I use the templates to make bling for layouts, or are they just for t-shirts, etc.? I know the starter kit rhinestones are hot-fix for clothing, I'm just wondering if I bought flatbacks if I could use them in some way for layouts.

I hope this makes sense and isn't a dumb question. It would be neato to make rhinestone tees for my DD (and I already do bling up some of her stuff with my heatsetter and hot-fix stones), but I'd love to be able to make my own swirls and flourishes easily.

I occasionally blog at the wee sheepie, but don't hold me to it.

I've used the rhinestones on paper. You just have to be careful not to heat the rhinestones to long as it warps the paper.

Do you use a regular iron on them?

I've been eyeing that kit, too.
