Did you all survive Thanksgiving without stabbing anyone with a carving fork? We spent the holiday with SO's family, so no problems for us. (Really, my immediate family would have been great too, but my extended family are nuts. They could write soap operas about those crazy people. It's enough to make a girl Thankful for living on the other end of the country sometimes.) We spent our whole long weekend ripping up funky carpets & installing new flooring at the daycare this year. Loads of fun. Add to it the fact that I'm 6 mons pregnant, SO has a minor knee injury & the whole project took 4x longer than we thought it would, it was a recipe for Joy in Mudville let me tell ya.
I personally am not planning on doing a December Daily this year. I did one last year and I know I will do one next with for Bean's First Christmas. I still haven't quite finished last year's album, so I am just not going to heap one more thing on my plate this year. Instead, I am just going to keep going with my regular PL stuff, here and in my albums.
To that end, here are some thoughts for next week:
12/2 Special Education Day
Get a photo of someone with differing abilities in your life or a teacher that helps kids with them.
12/3 Get some pics of your holiday decor in front of your home (if it's up yet! Ours isn't!)
12/4 National Cookie Day
Get some photos of your favorite cookies. I made a cookie recipe for Christmas that is one of my favorite cookies. This is the only time of year that I make them. I am seriously frosting-challenged so they usually look like bio-organisms rather than candy canes or pine trees, but they taste darn good!
12/5 International Ninja Day
Take a sneaky photo of someone doing something goofy
12/6 St. Nicholas Day
Get a photo of YOU & your child with Santa this year.
12/7 Get a screen shot of this week's weather forecast
12/8 Take some pics at the tree-lighting ceremony in your town.
