WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER 2012 CALENDAR GIRLS THREAD!!! The best way to spread Christmas cheer it so sing loud for all to hear!

It's December, the last month of 2012, another year is almost gone. We have 24 days until Christmas, so take some time to remember what the holidays are about. Try to pace yourselves as you bake yummy cookies, go to your holiday parties, make those cards and buy gifts for your loved ones. Have fun, enjoy this month and as the year closes out, set aside some time to reflect on all of the amazing people and things that you are blessed with.

And finally, a fun quote about this busy month that creeps up on all of us every year. "How did it get so late so soon? Its night before its afternoon. December is here before its June. My goodness how the time has flewn. How did it get so late so soon?" - Dr. Seuss

We are so glad that you joined us this month and hope that you will feel free to participate with the Calendar Girls, we love sharing our hobby and lives with new friends. We now have 7 challenges this month: The Scraplift Challenge, the Sketch Challenge, the Card Challenge, the BOS or Bookmarks Challenge, the Christmas Tag Challenge, the Stash Challenge and the Digi Challenge. We are excited about our new format and this is going to be such a great year! Here are this months' challenges:

HERE ARE THIS MONTH'S CHALLENGES

SCRAPLIFT CHALLENGE - by Jan
******************************
Katy is our featured Calendar Girl this month!!!

This month's challenge is to choose any LO in Katy's gallery and create scraplift or project inspired by her LO. Here is a link to Katy's Lovely Gallery

SKETCH CHALLENGE - by Toni
****************************
Please use one of the following sketches as inspiration:

CARD CHALLENGE - by Tina
****************************
Make and send someone a Christmas card, you can lift this super cute card, or do a design of your own. Designer, llaurenb.

BOOKMARKS CHALLENGE - by Theresa
*********************************

The object of this challenge is to use the layouts that you've been adding to your Bookmarks. You know that you liked them, but how often do you remember to use them as inspiration to make your own?

Since I'm sure you're quite busy this month I'm going to keep this challenge simple. Open your Bookmarks and use any of the images on the first page that you want. For an extra bonus how about using the scraps from the layout to make a card!

A very important part of this challenge is that you should send a message to the Pea that inspired you. It will brighten their day! Also, add a link to their LO in the information section or the comment section. Please be very specific about identifying that you lifted that Pea, we don't want to have any hurt feelings by not giving credit where credit is due.

STASH CHALLENGE - by Monica B.
*******************************
This month, I am challenging you to do some stitching on a layout or project. It can be machine stitched, hand stitched, digi-stitched or "fake" stitching done with a pen. Have fun with adding a fun detail to one your next projects this month!

12 DAYS TAG CHALLENGE - by Diana
*******************************

This month Diana is going to shake it up a bit and will be posting her tag challenge in the thread throughout the month. Get some tags, stamps, scraps of Christmas pp out and be ready to play along!!!

DIGI CHALLENGE - by Debi
******************************
Since the month of December is frequently associated with gift-giving holidays, I want you to create a page on a favorite gift (either given or recieved by you) for any occasion. This can be a material thing, or a gesture or a surprise....something that makes you smile when you think about it.
And since it's a gift, make sure you have a ribbon and a tag on your page somewhere.

Remember just because I dabble in digi doesn't mean you have to --digi, hybrid or paper pages are all welcome.

************************************************
For those of us who need more inspiration or having some praising to do, here is The Link to the last page of the November 2012 CG thread.

Whoo-hoo I am first! (if I hurry and type maybe?) I did go back to November and praised the great layouts posted in the last few days! Can not believe its Dec. 1 either Tina.

Thanks for the good thoughts for Gary. One company has given him a contract- now to see if they have any work for him. He needs to pull together some documentation for the others on his past consulting metrics but she seemed pretty excited for his skill set in the interview. We will see.....

I did scrap last night a bit.... I'll get them posted soon, I want to try and scrap some more today, but I think I need to get out some Christmas decor to appease my kids.

Have a great day!

Well, I *was* first, but when I went back to the tab where my post should have been, it had an error message. No post from me.

So here I go again...

TINA -- Nice job on December thread. Thanks for doing that. Looks GREAT. Glad you did not hurt yourself choking on your coffee.

ALL -- challenges look REALLY good!! I'm already feeling motivated and excited to start the month. Thanks for another great month to come!! (I'm super excited to scraplift Katy! )

THERESA -- I hope you two have a wonderful day celebrating your anniversary!

TAMMI -- yay! work!! I hope they give him some work soon.

Still raining here. Yesterday, at it's worst, it was raining 1 inch per hour. Stuart just came in from the garage and said we have no flooding. Phew! Usually when it storms we get some flooding out there and we did a very poor job preparing for this storm. Another one is "on its way," too! Tonight/tomorrow they say. Worst part of that is that we do our long runs on Sunday. They are predicting 100% chance of rain and 17mph winds. We'll see how I do...I try to be the 'suck it up' type but that might be taking it too far.

OK, girls are sleeping in! Lucky me. It's almost 8 and they are just starting to stir. Julia is coughing and Charlotte is whining. I won't pick her up till she's jabbering happily (as long as she whines, I know she's still tired and gonna go back to sleep! )

Have a wonderful December day.

I just came back up to see if anyone else was up & posting...re-read my post.

Tammy-- I didn't mean to sound so childish!! I was dismayed that my original post was not there. What I intended to be funny/cute sounds really lame. So sorry!!!

TINA the post looks G-R-E-A-T! Thanks for getting up so quickly.

KATY watch out we're all looking at you....well your gallery, that is. Hope to make a page real soon for the scraplift challenge. You know i like to scraplift...

THERESA have a fun time celebrating your anniversary. I'm so envious of all of you who have managed to have long-lasting healthy relationships. Not so good at that myself.

BARBARA LOL--no apologies needed. I got that it was all in fun that you were poking at THERESA for beating you to the first to post. That's one race I'll never win as I think I'm always up last (at least 3 hours behind most of these girls) although you are too aren't you? Aren't you in california? WHAT are you doing up so early on a Saturday?

The rain has stopped temporarily (emphasis on temporarily). I slept from 9:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m....guess I needed it but it's wierd to me that I'm sleeping so much lately, having spent the first 50+ years never sleeping more than 6 hours/night unless I was sick. Oh well, guess old age is catching up with me. Or maybe I'm just preparing for a long hard physical day of getting my house in order and pre-slept to be ready....Yeah, like that's likely to happen....bahahahaha

I think I'll start my day with a hot shower, a hot cup of tea and maybe I'll make myself a nice spinach & cheese omelette (lots of protein) to counteract all that unhealthy sugar I ingested yesterday. Sad part of it was I didn't really enjoy eating it either, but for some reason once I started stuffing it in my mouth I couldn't stop.

If I get everything done and don't wear myself out I may go to my mom's this evening. we'll see.

I so want to scrap...still have 2 pages to finish from last month's digi challenge, and now I have more challenges I could attempt. Wish I had some good photos...guess it's time to scan some of the 1000's of photos I have printed that I never paperscrapped. I could paper scrap them but that would take me all day to set up and take down...scanning might be easier, provided I can get my scanner to talk to my computer. Maybe I should put this off til tomorrow.

Want to do some Christmas shopping this weekend too.

SO much to do so little time.

Diana,

If you go to the top or bottom of the page, there is an arrow beside the reply button, if you click that it will give you the choice to bookmark/watch the thread.

Thanks for putting up your tag challenge, I am going to try to get mine done tonight.

It also looks like I might have done something that messed up the code on the November thread. I don't know what it would have been, but it is giving me an error when I go back there and it won't let me see my post to correct it, so I don't know what's wrong with it. Any suggestions from those who are more computer literate than I???

Debi it wasn't me that posted first it was Tammy.

Barb, I didn't take your comment as grouchy either, annoyed that your post got lost, but not grouchy toward Tammy.

Tina, I can't get into the November thread either. You may need to send a ticket in.

We had a good day but it sure didn't go the way we thought. Had a flat tire first thing. Had to put the spare on and take it over to my brother who thankfully has a shop. Took over an hour to get back on the road, went through Bowling Green to eat lunch before heading on to Nashville. We got stuck for over 2 hours on the interstate because there was a semi truck wreck at 1 a.m. this morning where the driver died and he spilled his liquid load. They were still cleaning it up and they had miles of road down to one lane. Randy found some old comic books and I found some cute stuff at the Old Time Pottery Store. Went to the mall and it took 30 minutes to find a spot to park. We bought stuff in one store (went to a lot more) and then it ended up taking 45 minutes to get back out of the parking lot onto the road! Totally crazy day and I'm thinking I may just buy everything else for Christmas online!!!

Hi again,

Had a pretty good rainy day. Took 4 year old shopping for Christmas gifts for her two BFFs. She had a few *moments* and there was a LOT of "I want, I want" but I think the idea is setting in (the idea of giving and not buying). Over all it was a good afternoon and now I know what Santa can bring her.

THERESA -- did you have a good day? I hope you did and that you are now too tired to come chat with us.

DEBI -- I have two young girls, I am always up that early. I wish I could sleep in sometimes, but it's not gonna happen so I've gotten used to it.

TINA -- I don't think the problems earlier were yours. I think the site was having major issues. Is it fixed now? I know I had significant issues this morning that are no longer present.

It's a dark and stormy night...my girls are in bed and I'm about to get my SCRAP ON!!

Happy December!

Jan, I just about fell off my chair when I saw you picked my gallery as the one to lift. I'm excited, and flattered. Thank you!

Today was so lovely! I am doing the Shimelle version of December Daily, and I'm going to be very prolific this month. I'm hoping to have an album just about this year. I am so full of gratitude about so many wonderful things going on.

In January, if you all would be interested, I'd like to add a challenge to the monthly challenge list. It would be a topic to scrap a page about. If you all think that's not a good idea, I understand, but I think that it would be a fun thing to do.

I'm so glad that I am playing with you all again! Yay!

TINA I don't think you did anything to the link. I was able to use it this morning to go back to the November thread so it was fine then. I now cannot get into the Nov thread either through your link or through going directly there. You could always do a service ticket and see if the powers that be (the techies) can figure out why that thread is no longer showing up.

OOPS sorry THERESA, BARBARA and TAMMY...you are absolutely correct, TAMMY was first to post...guess my eyes weren't quite focused this morning when I read the post. You don't even look alike...geesh! I told you my glasses needed to be changed.

DIANA was the first to post a LO though.

THERESA after a day like that I'd be considering online shopping too.

MONICA B nice to see you. Busy is always good.

KATY with the class you are definitely going to be prolific. Can't wait to see. I'd certainly be open to new challenges. Options are always good.

DIANA do we have to turn in the tags each day or just all by the ultimate date?

I ended up cleaning my kitchen...thoroughly today. rearranged stuff in the cupboards, got rid of outdated food items, washed dishes, all the surfaces including the floors. Also vacuumed the downstairs, and did a bunch of other miscellaneous yet rather unexciting house chores today til I got tired. Then in the evening I went to visit mom, who spent today and yesterday decorating her house for Christmas. How does my 81 year old mother always get more done than I? Oh well, we went out to dinner and to the grocery store. Now I'm home and getting ready to go to bed.

Tomorrow is another day and I think it already has started.

Catch you after I catch some zzzz's.

Good morning, this child of mine woke me up at 7:30am, I really was hopping to sleep at least until 9, oh well.

I cleaned this house all day, it is spotless kitchen and all. Today I told Stan he had to help me with our room since he has a hard time picking up and I really want to get rid of some stuff.

Debi...You have until the 13th at midnight so as long as they are posted by then it's fine.

Katy...That sounds like fun I'm also up for any new challenge. Going to check out the Shimelle version, I made the DD, and I wrote on it yesterday but I may need help keeping on task.

MonicaB...Nice to see you.

Have a great day ladies.

morning girls -

Sorry I'm MIA...I've been really tired lately, and I just figured out why. I take B12, and I've been out of it for a while and I think my system has finally told me I need some more, LOL. So I'm stopping at CVS today on my way to work and picking some up. I also fell last week (again) and my hip, ankle and of course my bad knee, really took one for the body. But of course Kevin helped me up and I just kept on going...all day.

Tina - fabulous job on the December thread. Thanks or all the work you do keeping us up and running with everything else you've got going on.
You're the bestest

Theresa - yeah, I would say shopping is crazy! But I'm glad that the economy is doing well from it. I know J's has been hopping. Some people find it hard to beieve how busy we are...but soooo many people do crafts, and with Pinterest there is even more crafty people out there. Of course our store does about 65% fabric, maybe even more, so that's where a lot of our sales come from.

Diana - your tags are gorgeous...wish I had the time to play.

Katy - I'm going to be off school soon and I'm hoping to get caught up on some scrappin' and lifting you is in my plans

Tammy - I'm glad there was nothing found on Becca's MRI, but I'm also sad that they couldn't figure out what the problem is. Hugs, girl. I know that must be hard, on all of you. Good luck to Gary. How is Josh doing?

Nylene - you've got to figure this computer stuff out; I would be deeply saddened if you left our wonderful group of friends.

Monica B - I hope you're being busy is for all the right reasons

Well, I know there is lots more...I've done nothing this week around the house and I really need to throw in some laundry and, I don't know, do something

Anyway, you all have a super Sunday.

good morning. I posted at 2"00 a.m. this morning a tag for yesterday's 12 days of christms challenge (DIANA) and it kept telling me it wasn't published, yet I could see it. So I decided to post in the thread an image which looked like it worked fine, but this morning there is no such thread from me. It's like it never existed...wierd.

So I'll try again. Guess I didn't need to stay up to finish the tag afterall.

Sun is shining. I SHOULD go out and blow some leaves but....not sure I will. I hate working in the yard. Wish the boys were home...wink wink.

MONICA B you go girl...way to get the job leads. I'd love to see a copy of your resume if you would send one to my regular email...I'm so in need of a job. Wonder if I should try learning how to do taxes....and I agree, I'd take a teaching job over that any day. I love to teach.

Debi

ok I'm determined to get up and busy so off i go. Catch you all later.

Morning all. Woke up with sinus crud beyond sinus crud so I went back to bed. Slept til 10:15. Still have a half a face full but I am rested!

Monica, hurray on all the job interviews and on getting to go to Denver for Christmas. Your pay situation is the exact reason that something has to be done for the medical insurance problem the government has created although I'm not so sure the way they are going about it is going to be much better but at least they are trying. How horribly sad that you can't make a decent salary and still be able to afford your medication without being on social security.

Kati, I like the idea of your challenge, sounds interesting and I am always looking for something to prompt me to scrap.

Important, everyone read:
Katie's suggestion got me to thinking about the challenges for next year and how busy we all are (remember my face is full of sinus crud so brain may not be functioning totally so tell me if that's a rotten idea) how about we leave open the month to different challenges as you all feel led to post instead of promising to post a certain challenge each month? That certainly doesn't mean we can't have a certain one established each month like Kati's new idea, the calendar girl lift or Toni's sketches (which I love), etc. because they really are different already each month and they inspire us already. But this would just give you all an option to add or take away one each month as you have time to deal with and not having to have you sign up for a year's commitment. It also might be a way to bring in new people because the ideas would be changing a the year goes by based on current trends.

Also I want to get down on paper who all has volunteered already to do certain things and my brain isn't functioning enough to remember who has already said they will. Know Debi, Nylene and Barb and maybe more have all said they wanted to do something but can't for the life of me remember what. THERESA sorry you aren't feeling well.

I'll do whatever you want me too...share the monthly beginning post, post the blog if NYLENE gets too frustrated with the color scheme here, do the digi challenge, whatever.

I'm fine with having a few set challenges and then any one adding a challenge at will. It would be nice if we had a specific format for linking it to a blog (i.e. Chatty Scrappers_Dec2012-Digi Challenge (favorite gift)), then we could each link our own challenge by posting it as a blog entry...that way instead of all challenges being posted as one, each one is listed individually and specifies what it is. Might bring in more participants. But I'll go along with however people want.

Looking forward to a new year...got to get through the holidays though.

Theresa sorry you are not feeling well hope you feel better soon.

Debi...GORGEOUS!!!! love that cardboard.

MonicaB. I use mine on the gifts. I wrap them and add the tag with some twine, no need for anything else, it makes the gift wrap look pretty nice.

going to have some hot chocolate (even though it's in the high 70s here) and some blueberry sweet bread Stan made. It's yummy.

Good night I will post tomorrows tag later tonight.

I don't have a lot of time to post now. I have been waiting for about two hours to try to get on here...first the site was broken and then my computer was acting up. Stuart has fixed it now. But Julia is "ready to go down"--meaning I have to leave the scrap room and take her down stairs.

So bummed. I hope to be back up in a little while, but we ran 11 miles today so I am guessing I will fall asleep pretty early!

Hi, everyone! Yesterday I decided the house didn't need to be cleaned and I scrapped the whole morning. Then I got to tend baby Alex while the rest of his family went to see the Forgotten Carols production. He is the sweetest little thing!! I love babies...especially when they are my grandchildren.

I finished 2 pages using some paper I bought at the DCWV warehouse sale.
I need to scan them and then I'll post them. Right now my scanner's buried under scrap stuff, so I'll have to clean up to post.

DH is doing better each day. He went to 1 hour of Church today because he had to conduct the meeting. It's nice to see him make real progress. I was getting very worried about him.

Diana, I love your tags, and yours too Debi! I know I can't keep up, but I will really enjoy and bookmark them!!

BBL Hugs to all of you.

Boy, I tried 2peas several times today with no luck on opening the forums. I have a stomach ache and I know it's from mindless eating all weekend. I just need to get out of my funk and focus.

Barbara- I imagined you stomping your feet having a tantrum you weren't first. Just kidding. I took it in frustration at the board, not at me. You are a dedicated runner, girl!

Theresa- hope you are feeling better. What an eventful anniversary. I am all for online shopping.

Monica- such exciting stuff going on for you! Keeping my fingers crossed for the job to come through. You take it easy after the surgery. Bobby's teeth are bothering him- we are going to see dentist on Wed. and I bet it's his wisdom teeth. Maybe instead of vacation we do a teeth holiday- Josh needs his pulled too. I bet you'll have a blast in Denver even if Justin and Amy can't go.

Diana- the tags are gorgeous. I hope to play. I think I would use them on cards or layouts.

Toni- B12- definitely good for you. I need to get back on my vitamins too. Esp. vitamin D in the winter. thanks for the reminder. Josh is doing good. No job, but at least he's managing his student loan money better and not asking us for money this year. How's Meg and Kevin?

As far as the thread- I'm game for whatever!! Just to keep in touch with you all!

OK, going to play Apples to Apples with the kids before sending them to bed.

2peas has been a bugger all day. I don't know how many times I tried to post only to get a 502 error. Grrr!

MONICA B I explained how to do make link red in Nov thread, but you have the right idea. Just put the [ color:red ]before link title and [ /color ]after the link title, before the last [ /url ] (no spaces)and you've got it.

I was hoping DIANA had her day 3 tag directions up already so I could work on it while I'm watching tv but guess I have to wait til tomorrow...since tomorrow is the 3rd after all. LOL

LORI nice to see you.

All I did was housework today. Maybe tomorrow will be more interesting.

Ah no day 3 tag instructions yet...wonder if she has them on her blog...wonder how I get there...checking her post to see if her blog is listed.

Woke up early so decided to lay down and wait and accidentally fell back to sleep then woke up late (kids forgot to set their alarm) so we were rushing to get out of the house this morning, but managed to make it on time although 20 minutes is mighty short to get dressed, eat, do t he whole teeth routine, make lunches, gather all the binders etc and get to school, but we did it!

Dropped off a birthday card to my brother at the mailbox on the way home.

Had breakfast, put in some laundry, checked email and now the boards (2peas must be giving people issues as there is little posting) and now I'm off to the showers and getting stuff done for today.

Hope you all have a great time. MONICA B good luck with the tooth surgery. How many teeth are you having fixed/removed? Are you going to have any teeth left?

Good morning everyone. I'm doing boring chores today and I *so* want to drop it all and scrap!

THERESA -- I didn't really understand what you were suggesting for next year...did you mean there would be just one challenge? I have to say, I hope that doesn't happen. I really like having all the challenges. But if you meant there would be one additional challenge posted by one selected person (they way LORI is going to do this month...good idea LORI!!), then I looooooove it!

MONICA -- good luck with getting everything read & with the surgery. I hope it goes well. Do you have someone to take care of you post op? You never know how you will respond to pain meds, pain, etc. Take care of yourself! And maybe when it's all done, you'll have your perfect job waiting for you! It sounds like everything is falling into place...so happy for you!

DEBI -- I am loving your tags! I have two done also, but no photos of them yet.

NYLENE -- so relieved to hear Steve is improving. YAY! It must have been nice to play with the grand baby yesterday. And scrapping, too. What a great day!

LORI -- just glad you're here...even if we didn't hear how you're doing, what you're up to. sorry about your post.

DIANA -- can you point us to your blog? I really want to follow along with the tag game!

I think I might be a different person after yesterday. It is possible that I am certifiably INSANE!! Our regular Sunday run was scheduled to be 11 miles. There was a storm watch. Sane people would have stayed home to run on the treadmill in the garage! I'm going to scrap the whole thing, but I will just say a few things so you know how bad it was: We got out to West Cliff (right on the Monterey Bay/Pacific Ocean) at 8 am. My car was bouncing in the wind! At one point, while we were still on West Cliff, Stuart said (jokingly) "Could you stay on your side of the path, please?!" and I answered (dead serious) "No! I can't!" The wind was blowing me into him...It was so strong I could not run straight! We ran 5.37 miles out (Natural Bridges State Beach to the Santa Cruz Harbor) then we ran BACK to the car. Just a little shy of the 11 mile goal. LOL I think running into 20+ mph winds more than made up for the distance we didn't get. Yep...I've lost my mind!!

Back later with pics of my tags and hopefully to do another!

DIANA can you fix your links to your blog on your signature? Can't link directly from them in this form, although I could type in the URL to get there. Thanks!

BARBARA you are NUTS to run in that kind of wind. I understand how hard it is to stay in "your lane" when it's really blustery. THe other day when we had such high winds I thought I was going to be blown off the sidewalk. It was all I could do to get into the kids' school. Be careful out there. I"m just amazed at anyone who can run that far.

Here's my 3rd day tag.

I've never really made tags before so hope these are ok.

I can only assume that the site is not working for everyone? I did a Diana tag today. And one of our challenges. But it's "girls" time here...hanging out with the DDs and then I'll make dinner, give baths, read stories and tuck in.

THEN I'll be back to scrap a little more!

Hey ladies!!!

Yay...2 Peas is fixed! I tried to get on repeatedly this morning, but it was not cooperating. So glad it's fixed now.

If you all think about it, my Mom could use prayers. She has been sick for about a month & has dropped about 20 pounds in that time, the docs figured out that her gall bladder needs removed, so that's not too deep. But, when they were doing the MRI on that, they found nodules on both of her lungs. She had biopsies today and will get the results on Friday. She is pretty nervous, although she is trying to be calm about it. She has smoked since she was 15, so she has reason to be concerned. She is also still feeling bad because they won't do the surgery to remove her gall bladder until they know if she has cancer. Anywho, prayers would be appreciated.

Theresa - I will do whatever you need me to do next year. I wouldn't mind posting a challenge from time to time, so the kind of flexibility you are talking about would be good.

Nylene - I'm so glad that Steve is getting stronger, that must be a huge relief, men are such babies when they are down.

Katie - I think doing a topical challenge would be fun...have at it girl.

Monica B. - I usually do a December daily, but with having a job and a half right now, I knew that I couldn't get it done, so I bought a cute Christmas kit and I think the girls & I will assemble it during Christmas break and put however many pages in it we can fit. It will definitely be less than I usually do, but I'll be happy if I can get the mini-album done.

Also, I really hope one of the jobs pans out, that would be great. I'm sure the employer was happy when you asked for less money. Also, I hope your dental surgery goes smoothly and is as pain-free as it can be.

Have a happy evening ladies, I'm off to serve up the chocolate peanut butter pie that I made for the fam.

Tina

Hey all. Yes it is me and yes I am still alive. I want to scrap so bad but there is just not enough time in the day, week or month. Oh and can I ask where in the world did this year go. I am in utter shock that my little munchkin is going to be 1 in just a couple of weeks. I hope to be on a little bit more the end of the month when school gets out and when I get my week long break from working 10 hours a day. Just wanted to stop by to say hello gotta finish my Spanish homework for tomorrow.

Evening all! Couldn't get on 2Ps at all this morning.

Barbara, no, I'm not suggesting just having one challenge each month next year, I like options and I'm certainly hoping several people will volunteer to host a challenge of their choosing. I'm just suggesting allowing people that want to post challenges only occasionally the option of adding one whenever they want. For example if Debi doesn't want to do the digi challenge each month (I think she does though) I could just post it in the months she has time to do it. Or if you (or anyone else) would want to come up with a challenge for a month all you'd have to do is let me know before the last week of the month before.

Do want to start a list of who wants to do what so be sure and let me know.

Theresa, just wanted to let you know I made your potato soup again today and took some over to a neighbor who is just getting back on her feet from a hip replacement after a fall. MMMMmmm, it is always so good and makes the house smell good. Are you feeling better? Wish I could hand you a hot bowl of your delicious soup to help you feel better.

Barbara, I can't believe you ran in that wind! You are either insane or dedicated, and I do believe it's dedication on your part. Your DH was a peach to run with you.

Debi and Diana, I love those tags. I can't do them now, but will bookmark them all and see if I can do them later. So beautiful!

Lori, sorry about your post! It makes me so mad when that happens to me. The other day I was able to go back and copy it when it didn't post. I just waited a couple of hours and tried again. This site is so wonky!

Tina, I'm remembering your mother in my prayers. I hope they find that the nodules are benign. Hope she is able to have the surgery and get going again as usual. How's your grandpa doing?

Monica, saying prayers for you as you go through your ordeal. The first couple of days will be miserable, but then you should begin to feel better. Will your mom be around to help you out?

Tammy, any news on the job hunt? A teeth vacation sounds just awful, but we did that often. DH's brother was a dentist in Idaho and we'd make a long weekend so our kids could get their teeth fixed. Not a fun experience.

Here are the pages I did on Sat. They are both scraplifts from my BOS. Stole the title from one, the idea for tags from another, etc. But at least I spent time in my BOS.

ETA: I thought I had the red figured out, but when I make it red, the link doesn't work.

NYLENE I know you can do this. SO let's walk through the steps one by one to help you get things in the right order. One mistype and it all goes to he*& in a handbasket. LOL 10 easy steps to making your LO link red.

1. go to your LO in the gallery
2. copy the URL for the LO
3. In the message post, select URL at the bottom
4. Paste in your LO address
5. Hit enter
6. typ[ color:red ] (minus the spaces)
7. then type in your LINK title
8. then type [ /color ] (minus the spaces)
9. Hit Return
10. Pat yourself on the back for a job well done!

Let me know if my instructions don't make sense.

DIANA I'm impatient...this waiting for each day's tag instructions is killing me. Guess patience isn't one of my better virtues. Am I supposed to be posting them somewhere else besides 2peas?

Don't have much to report. Guess I didn't even notice 2peas was down.

JODI nice to see you girl, and no, I can't believe your baby is almost 1...that's just impossible. But then BARBARA's little one just turned one also. This year definitely has flown by.

Sending continued healing hugs to Steve,NYLENE's dh, MONICA B who will soon be gumming her food, THERESA with her sinus issues, TINA's mom as she waits for her results and anyone else who needs it.

OK off to see if anything is new in the gallery.

Wow! You girls are chatty this month! It's only the 4th and we are already on page 2...

The thread looks great and there are some interesting challenges. Hope I get to do a lot more scrapping during the holidays. Just a few more days of school and I can relax. Phew! These last few days are exhausting. The school has organised so much to keep the kids busy I'm struggling to keep track of when what needs to go to school and when all the forms need to be in, etc.

Diana - the tags look great and I'm hoping to catch up the next few days. I haven't had a chance to even open my Christmas goody box yet...

Jodi and Lori - long time, no see. Welcome back!

I must say I never even realised the site was giving so much trouble. Just haven't been able to even get in front of my computer. Seems there are still all sots of glitches. This morning a few people are complaining about the gallery and likes, bookmarks, etc not showing/ disappeared.

Need to go, but will be back tomorrow morning with a little more time to chat.

morning girls -

I'm glad I didn't try to get on more than once yesterday or I would have been mad too, LOL.

Theresa - sorry about the sinus issues; seems like this region gets a lot of that nasty stuff. We have had a lot, and I mean a lot, of kids out sick these days...a lot out for more than a week, some flu, some pneumonia, one has mono and is homebound, and a lot of sinus/severe colds. I will continue sending the sketches in so long as you want me to, and I will do anything else you need.

Tina - sending lots of prayers for your mom, and you.

Tammy - yes, I got the B12, and I hope it kicks in soon, LOL. I really am dragging these days. I am looking forward to Christmas break. Kevin and Megs are doing great. They both have really great jobs, and are liked a lot at each, and rewarded for their hard work all the time. Megs has had three raises and two promotions since she's been there for just a little over a year. Kevin is still on his 90 day pobation period, but he's always getting pats on the back
They both still plan on going back to school, but they're still just figuring out for what, LOL. Megs wants dental hygienest still, but I found out the other day from a girl at work that the college here gets about 600 apps per year and they only take in up to 100 of them! So she might have to go to a private school for it. We'll see. I'm glad that Josh is doing well.

Barb - Oh, my, you live in one of the most beautiful areas of California....I love Monterey, Santa Cruz and Caramel. We used to go there for the weekend, and whenever a friend from back east came to visit, we always would go there. Love it there. You all have been having some wicked weather there. Stay safe. I can't believe your little girl will be one soon...how fast time goes.

Monica B - Yeah you So glad things are going well for you...sorry about your cousin crashing...I know how that is...hopefully it won't be for long.

Jodi - I see your posts on Facebook of your darling little girl! Can't believe she's going to be one already! Wow! Glad you're stopping in here and there though.

Lori - you, too...please continue to stop in when you can. I know how busy it gets during this month with little ones.

Diana/Debi - thanks for showing us all you beautiful tags! Keep up the great work.

I've got to run...I know I've missed some but it's getting late.

love you all.

Good morning all. Sinus crud and I have become friends, might as well, looks like he's here for a while! No wonder either, yesterday it was 74 degrees!!!

Jodi, good to see you. Can't believe our little Pea is almost a year old already!

Monica, that idea for a monthly challenge sounds great. Have you down. Do want you to go back and read your comment about how many teeth you're getting pulled. Numbers sure don't add up, LOL, says 3 teeth with 4 of them being wisdom... Just how many are you getting pulled?

Tina, how scary for your Mom and you! Praying that it's just scar tissue but if it's not, lung cancer IS treatable a large majority of the time. Let me know if I can help do anything beside prayer.

Nylene, I can't see the links either if they are buried in the paragraph. I changed my color but still have trouble. I'm sure I missed several praises last month. Instead of remembering how to add the color did you know that there is a box down by where you "insert pea code" when you're posting that has colors in it. If you click the color the code pops into the reply box. Then all you have to do is type in between the two codes (the one that has red and the one one that has \red) and everything in the middle is colored.

Best get with it, already after 6 and I'm still in my jammies. Have to say the shorter hair is nice, can wash it and go without using any curling irons or anything.

edited since Toni and I posted at the same time,

Toni have you down for the monthly sketch challenges. SO glad you're going to keep them up. Love sketches.

I always say what I mean, I just may not mean to say it out loud!
