Good morning- lots to get done on my list today but yet here I sit at the computer!
Guess I have to start with coffee, so multi-tasking

Toni-that is great about Meg and Kevin. good to hear they are doing well. Josh called yesterday in a "what am I going to do with my life" panic. Tried to explain that if we all did jobs that we thought we'd do when we were 21 or had degrees for that only a small percentage would be in their same position.

Tina- prayers for your Mom. very unsettling for her for sure to wait.

Nylene- no solid news yet, but he had a couple of good conversations last week. hoping to get those more solid this week maybe. Glad to hear Steve is doing better and you got some baby time. that is always good!

Monica B- hope all goes well tomorrow!

'Morning ladies.

It's still dark here! Getting towards 7 am and dark. I'm not complaining. I've really been enjoying winter this year. And the girls are both still asleep so it's quiet and I looooove that.

Tina -- sending loads of hugs & prayers for your mom. Having that hanging out there all week is going to be stressful so take care of yourself--you're overloaded as it is. {{HUG}}

Theresa -- so sorry about your sinuses. Does it always happen in the weather switch? I can't remember--have you said you do a sinus rinse? I had nasty sinus infections for years until I started rinsing mind. You can use a netti pot (available at drug stores) or there is a 'squirt' bottle that works quite well. (Netti is better once you're blocked up, though). Anyway...I hope you feel better.

Debi -- how are the boys? getting excited for their break?

Toni -- good to see you! I'm so glad you want to keep doing the sketch challenge. It's so nice to hear that the 'children' are doing so well. That must be a comfort. Did you live in CA? Don't you live in the South now? Am I confused?? Yes...we do love where we live. When Stuart and I (finally) started dating I wanted him to move to the SF Bay Area (I lived in Oakland) but he told me I was crazy. He was right and I'm soooooo glad he didn't listen to me! (It used to be very hard for him to tell me 'no' )

Monica B -- Are you all ready now? I know tomorrow is the day. Enjoy today...relax so you are feeling good/strong when you go in. Good luck tomorrow! Running in that storm was hard, but not as crazy at it sounded--If at any point the bay had started to rise, we would have run in-land and gotten home (not sure if we would have tried to save the car ). We were not being stubborn-stupid...though I have to wonder if the Harbor Police would have agreed when we ran past them Sunday morning.

Jodi -- I've been watching you a little on FB. Congrats on making it through year 1 of child 1. I swear its the hardest but most special time. When that 1st bday comes you breath this *hugh* sigh of relief! "phew! she made it! I did it!" Are you have a big bday party for her??

Tammy -- busy momma these days? you haven't been around much. Question: what is your favorite baseball team? Do you have one? If not, do any of your children have one?

Diana -- I have done all 4 tags! I even did Day 4 before I went to bed last night!! Loving it. I really will post the here soon. I haven't photographed anything yet.

Katy, Lori, and everyone -- hope you're well!!

TONI -- Yes! I was right. Toni in TN. You're in Tennessee now!

I assume you did not come to the Monterey Bay from TN?! Where & when did you live in CA?

PRAISEMARKER

you girls ARE chatty.

MONICA B--7 teeth? I know you can do without wisdom teeth (they are in the back-I haven't had mine since I was 18) but 3 other teeth? Are you going to have a jack o'lantern smile? I guess it depends on which teeth they are but sounds like 2 of them are the molars next to the wisdom. I had one of those taken out last year that broke into pieces...and I still miss having it there. Makes chewing definitely more a challenge. Hope it goes well and recovery is quick...it's the impacted teeth that are the hardest...my 4 wisdom and that back tooth all were impacted...had to cut the jawbone to get them out. Took about a week 1/2 to recover completely. So rest up and don't be alone. Sending you god teeth vibes.

MICHELLE just keep telling yourself...school is almost done...summer is almost here...

BARBARA & JODI I envy you with your little ones just turning 1. I loved having little ones around.

DIANA thanks for the tag challenge. I'll be doing my 4th tag as soon as I get off the thread.

NYLENE I hope it isn't presumptious of me to post directions on linking. Hope it helps. THERESA is right, if you are just wanting to color text in a thread, clicking on the color box below and typing your message between the 2 codes will do the trick, which I think you've done many times before, however you can't access the color boxes while posting a link, which is why I type the code in.

OK I've already spent an 1 1/2 hrs without doing anything but be on the computer...so off I go, ... have a great day!

Those tags are so cute! I may have to try a few. Thanks for sharing them, Diana.

Question for anyone who has a Kindle or Kindle Fire. What accessories are needed and is it a good idea to get the extended warranty. I've finally decided to just go for it and get a Fire HD. Happy Birthday and Christmas to me!

Anyone else watching The Voice? The 6 that are left are all so good. I think they should all win. Terry and Nicholas are my favorites.

Cleaning house, wrapping gifts I have had stashed away so I can see if I need to get anything else. It is looking like I'm pretty well done. Need an idea for my piano students yet though.

Made a "to do" list a few days ago. It is 3 pages long! Don't know if I can get it all done in this life time - lol.

Nice to see you all checking in. In case you don't know it, I really enjoy all of you and consider you good friends.

Later all

I consider you a friend, MELANIE, also. My everyday TO DO LIST is around 3 pages so I can certainly relate. It makes me tired just thinking of thing I want to get done. I don't know how anyone does it.

So here's a LO for today (it was day 25 of the digi challenge last month but I couldn't post because I used a kit being released today--hate when I do that) and of course day 4's tag.

Good afternoon,

I have a 'bonus' couple of hours! We stopped by a friend of Julia's this afternoon and her mom said she would keep J and take her to the park so I could take CJ home for a nap. So CJ's napping and J is at the park. *nice*

I finally got these uploaded:

12 Days Christmas Tags (Days 1-4)
(Diana, is it OK if I put them all in one project? Would it be easier if I made separate projects for each of my tags?)

Our Special Gift is for the Digi Challenge.

Ballet Recital is for the Bookmarks challenge (credit in description).

Debbie, very pretty tag.

Barbara, yeap you can put it on a project. Just let me know the day.

On the Tags I'm flexible, as long as you have the main thing I'm asking for you can make them any size, shape and put them in what ever project you like.

Evening all. Had a busy day but it wasn't bad. Had a patient bring me a fruit basket today. Same patient that came last week and wouldn't let anyone help him but me. He's had two joint replacements in the last year and is facing an ankle fusion after the holidays, said I'd "earned it" and to be honest I earned a heck of a lot more. He calls me all the time, LOL. It was really sweet and unexpected. I put chops in the crockpot this morning before I left for work but didn't turn it on so just finished dinner, LOL. They were good though.

Monica, good luck tomorrow. Make sure you have some liquid nourishment (soups, etc) to take with the pain meds or you could get sick to your stomach.

Can't remember anything else, know I had planned on saying something but it's gone.

Have a great night all.

Thanks Diana. I'm enjoying making the tags. I always like to follow directions...takes a lot of the guess work away.

I scrapped. Here's my page.
Are you ready?

1/2 hour before I have to drive through the rain to pick up the boys from their dad's. I so dislike this Tuesday night 1 hr (minimally)commute but I suppose it could be worse. It's so much easier to do in the summer when it's still light outside and it doesn't matter how late the boys stay up, but in the late fall on a school night...not so fun.

BARB I love your tags. They are so gorgeous as are you Layouts. I think I am happy with my own scrapping, until I see other people's work then I think "oh I have so much yet to learn." Guess that's why I look at the gallery everyday for inspiration and to admire other people's talent.

Ok I'm going to eat some cereal for dinner (Shhh don't tell anyone)before I have to leave.

See you all tomorrow. Thinking of you MONICA B. Take care.

Hey everyone, I'm glad to be here! I tried a few times to pop on yesterday, but there was none of that to be found. Today my roommate and I took our dogs to the local Bark Park and let them run their fool heads off. I couldn't believe it, but Fenway nearly scaled a fence to jump out and see a dog that was walking by. Thankfully the fence was taller than the dog could climb.

I've been scrapless lately. I think that it's because I took out a kit that I'd purchased a couple years ago on sale, and I don't love the papers. I'm going to put it aside tomorrow and see if that helps with my mojo.

This serves as my praisemark!

I'm packing up to go to COcoa Beach next week. I'm hoping that where we go will have wifi. My goal is to do as little as possible. I may do a couple touristy things, but I'm really hoping to just relax and vegetate.

Good evening,

I have a little more time to myself tonight. The girls went to bed on time and I fell asleep on Stuart on the couch watching TV. And it was 7:30! At 8:15 I got in bed and have been playing on the computer! I'll go to sleep soon, but I really like this feeling of relaxing in bed with the lap top. I used to do this aaaaalllll the time when I was single. I'd forgotten how luxurious it feels.

DIANA -- I put my first 4 tags in one 'project' and called it 12 Days of Christmas Tags If you got to that project, you can see Days 1 - 4. I look forward to doing tomorrow's tag! I'm loving playing along!

DEBI -- I swear, I had almost the exact same thoughts about YOUR tags!! Thank you for your kind words and know that I'm loving seeing yours, too...I *especially* like the blingier ones. I guess that's why we share...to inspire and motivate. Hope that drive wasn't too bad tonight.

MONICA B -- thinking of you. Hope tomorrow goes well and that you get really good RX drugs for the pain.

THERESA -- chops in the crock pot?! DO SHARE! How long does it cook? do you just throw them in and turn it on? what do you add?...before I fall (back) asleep, I'm gonna be Googling THAT! What a great idea. I'm all over that! And that reminds me...Nylene mentioned your potato soup. Did you share that this year? I think I want to try that, too. Seriously...chops in the crock pot!! I am soooo excited to try this!!

Well, now I don't feel very sleepy and I want to go play on the internet. Off to find crock pot recipes...g'night all!

Good morning!

Firstly, Monica, good luck for today! Hope it all goes well and the pain meds do their thing. The first few days are the worst and your jaw may be a little stiff too from the clamps they use to keep your mouth open. So keep quiet and rest. Let your mom spoil you. I'm sure she wants to.

Toni - hope the B12 kicks in quickly. It reaises energy levels so well. I give Vit B cocktail injections here every day. Vit B12, B6 and a little of all the other B's included. It just helps combat the fatigue and your body cope with stress better.

Tina - thinking of your mom. It is scary waiting for results. My thought are with both of you.

Theresa - ugh! I remember you were struggling last year as well. Blocked sinuses aren't fun.

Nylene/ Theresa - I have been posting my links in a paragraph, thinking an explianation of the page would give you guys a better indication to look for a link Oops, will also try colouring them from now on. Nylene, glad Steve is improving and getting out more. It will do him the world of good.

Tammy - I so agree that there are a lot of people that qualify as one thing and end up doing something totally different after a few years. He should do something he enjoys, but it's not set in stone. Hope Greg hears something soon too.

Barbara - Isn't it lovely to have a few hours of 'me' time? It feels like such luxury... Makes me wonder what I did with all the time I had before kids, lol.

Melanie - don't burn yourself out with that to-do list (unless page one just has SCRAP written largely across it) Tomorrow is another day.

Katy - don't force yourself to use that kit. Pack it away or mix it in with your stash. Scrapping mojo is way too precious to waste on unloved paper

Tonight is Ruan's prizegiving at school and tommorow night is Sean's turn. Then it's Friday and holidays! I can do this, I can do this. Need to go wrap Kyle's little gift for playschool for tomorrow. They have a Santa coming and their Christmas party. Also need to do my tax returns before Friday for the last two months (VAT) so need to get off here and do WHAT I NEED TO DO, not what I WANT to do (Can you hear me giving myself a kick in the pants?).

Oh, and it's Heinrich's birthday tomorrow and I have no idea what to get him. When I asked him, he said "time, peace and world domination"! Lol, not very helpful... So need to go to the mall too.

Right, really need to run if I'm going to get everything done. BFN!

Running behind so can't chat but do want to give Barb the pork chop recipe

Place chops in the bottom of the crock pot, add a can of cream of mushroom soup (no water), a package of either Lipton Onion Soup or Ranch Dressing mix (again no water and I use which ever one I grab--both turn out great), a little bit of Worcestershire sauce and I toss in some minced onion if I use the Ranch (don't if I use the onion soup). Cook on low for 6-8 hours depending on how many chops you use. Last night we did it on high for 2-1/2 and it was done. It makes a great gravy so all you have to do is make mashed potatoes and a veggie and the meal is done.

Potato soup recipe (I did it for one of the old challenges)

Good Morning Sweet Peas!

I hope you are all well this morning. I am going to spend some time working on my pit of an office today, I have to get my paper files and all of my electronic files organized...yay...okay, I'm not really excited about that, but I have to make myself do it.

Toni - I'm so glad that Meagan and Kevin are doing awesome at their jobs and that they like them, that makes life so much easier.

Debi - I used to love the eat cereal for dinner, I did it all of the time before I was married...too bad the rest of the family doesn't think that dinner is fixed if I throw all of the boxes of cereal on the table.

Katy - Have big fun at the beach...I'm jealous! I sooo love the ocean, don't know how I got stuck living in land-locked Indiana.

Michelle - Heinrich's birthday list sounds just like what my husband would say...especially the world domination part. I hope you are able to come up with something that he will like.

Melanie - I have a Kindle Fire, got it for Christmas last year and I love it. I didn't buy any accessories for it and I've had no problems with it at all, even with the kids playing with it all of the time.

Well, I need to go fix little dude's lunch. Hope you all have a nice day!

Tina

Just a quick 'hello'!!

Thank you, THERESA, for the recipe. YUM! I can't wait to try that!

MICHELLE and TINA, my husband has the same list for Christmas! I wonder if there is some correlation between women who scrap and men who dream of taking over the world?! LOL MICHELLE, did you find a good prezzy?

MELANIE, I can't wait to here how you like the K Fire! I want one, but I got a regular Kindle a while back so I have can't really justify it. I will say that customer service seems to be amazing. I broke my screen after having it for about 6 months. They sent me a brand new one. It came in the mail 2 days after we called. I just mailed the old one back (they paid). I was really impressed. And, I bought a cover after that. Lots of cute accessory options out there. M-Edge makes great covers. I think you can send a pic and they'll put it on a cover for you.

TINA -- good luck cleaning today. I've been avoiding my desk here at home for about 4 months. The piles get bigger and I am even less motivated to clean it up. *sigh*

OK, that was my quiet time. CJ is awake and it's time to make lunch for J. Have a great day, everyone!!

~ B

p.s. don't see Day 5 tag, DIANA...maybe I'll just jump over to your blog before I get started today...

Okay, I admit this is why I have not been around.

Well, I got a stunner today. I've been dating a super nice guy from Seattle. Anyway, I get an email from his daughter today, addressed "Hi MOM" We've been talking about getting married lately. I never thought about about being a step-mother before. She's getting more than a step-mother though, but a step-brother as well. I guess it's time to tell my son aye?

Good morning. Making my list of things to do today. want to get them done so I can play tomorrow. Want to do Diana's tags. so cute!

Linda- oh.my. Well you certainly are being adventurous! Would a marriage mean you move to this side of the mountains?

Tina- keep plugging away- it'll feel good when you're done!

Michelle- good luck in shopping. I need to get Gary a Xmas present, not sure what since he buys anything he likes himself.

Melanie- enjoy the present! You'll love it, I'm sure! We have a regular kindle from when it first came out.

Katy- enjoy the beach time! hope you find your mojo soon.

Theresa- the fruit basket was a nice thought. I can't get your potato soup layout to open- it tells me "it's been permanently moved" but it doesn't redirect.

Barbara- you certainly keep yourself busy too! Love your tags.

Monica B- hope you are home and resting comfortably now and it all went OK.

OK, need to get busy on actually doing the things on my list now.

wow LINDA you definitely have been getting around in the dating scene. Seattle? I thought KEVIN was from ENGLAND? Weren't you planning a trip in February? Is this the same guy or someone else? Seattle is definitely more accessible. Hard to imagine NOT becoming a step-parent when dating at our age...people do seem to have had a life before meeting us LOL. But if your and he are getting serious enough to be discussing marriage, it might be time to let your son in on the scoop.

Best wishes.

MONICA B how are you doing today?

I'm just dropping by to post my 12 Days of Christmas tags-day 5 tag. then I'm off.

I am 'sneaking' back up here to post my Day 5 tag - tag within a tag The colors didn't photograph very well because it's so dark & grey today.

DIANA -- I am loving this challenge! Would it be helpful to you if I posted my tags on your blog? Do you have advertisers? If you need me to follow you & post there, I can do that. I definitely want to support what you're doing.

DEBI - gorgeous tag today!

KATY -- when do you go the beach? I'm soooooooo jealous! That sounds so wonderful. Enjoy!!

LINDA -- Would you move to Seattle?? Aren't you house-hunting in your area right now?

ALL -- quick question: everyone's signature files have disappeared from view (for me). It's only my lap top. I can see them perfectly on my desktop machine. I can't figure out why. Any ides?

Raining here, again. I'm over it. Could use a little natural light.

BARBARA I like your tag too. Isn't this challenge fun?

Have you gone to the bottom of the page and click on HIDE/SHOW signatures? Maybe you accidentally turned it off, although I'd think it would be the same on both your laptop and desktop.

I haven't done anything today. Just sit, play on the computer *surfing the net for Christmas presents* yet I haven't purchased anything yet and eating. Kids are home. It's getting dark and yet I don't want to move. I hate when it's so dark. Makes me feel like a slug.

ANd of course, no one is chatting today, because you are all being productive....LOL

Not sure what's up with the Potato soup layout. I posted it to Pinterest so try this one

Monica glad your surgery went well.

Melanie, I LOVE my Kindle Fire. I bought a cover to protect it and that's the only extra thing. I've got a TON of free books that I've really enjoyed and they have free daily downloads on Amazon. Granted most of them aren't worth the time to download but they're FREE, LOL.

MONICA B glad your surgery went well and quickly. Yes, crying is a side affect of the anesthesia. I did a similar thing in the hospital after my emergency exploratory surgery when my appendix burst. I was very disoriented and time was very skewed in my brain...I'd ring for the nurse and though she came right away I thought she took forever and I cried and cried thinking no one was there for me. Of course, I couldn't remember when people visited either. I was on a boatload of painkillers because they had to leave my incision open for a couple days to make sure the infection (perentinitis) was cleared up before closing me up. Now you just have to be careful not to stand up for too long as you could easily pass out. I did that too after having my wisdom teeth out. Hmmm guess I'm not the ideal patient. Sounds like you might be a better one. I don't think pasta will be a problem...dentist said pasta was ok for Owen last week when he had 2 permanent teeth removed. He did fine. Of course kids are very resilient. Have fun scrapping tomorrow. And I know what you mean about feeling like you have gaping holes in your mouth...who knew teeth were so big, or at least feel like they are?

can you tell I'm bored? I keep coming back to see if anyone posted? How lame is that? Bahahaha!

This website makes my eyes water terribly though so I think I'll go do something else.

Good morning!

Monica - so glad the op went well. I struggle to wake up after anaesthesia - I can hear everyone but just can't seem to open my eyes. Sean cries a lot too, it is normal. Pasta should be fine, just chew at the front and be careful not to dislodge any bloodclots. You don't want them starting to bleed again.

Linda - WOW. Girl, you are giving me whiplash Glad you are keeping your options open but please don't make any hasty decisions. Take your time, there is no rush. And, yes, I think it's time to tell your son (how old is he and where does he live? I don't recall you saying anything about him before; but that could be my leaky brain)

I pulled together a present for Heinrich to help him find his 'time and peace'. Couldn't do much about world domination, lol. I got a big giftbox and put in 3 travel mags, biscuits, gingerbeer (his favourite), nuts, chocolates, instant cuppuchino, etc. A 'take a break' box, lol. He seems to like it, which is most important. Now to start racking my brains for Christmas...

Need to run. Have a great day, all!

morning girls -

As always, I can't beleve it's Thursday already...the time just flies by.

Nylene - thank you, thank you, thank you. You are by far one of the most sweetest people ever to walk this earth.

Michelle - "A kick in the pants" - I love it pretty much what I have to do every day, too. Good luck finding something for your DH's birthday, LOL. Sounds like you're super busy.

Linda - Marriage? Really? A lot of Kevin's and Megs' friends call me mom, or second mom. She might have meant it as an endearing term. I thought it was the guy from London you were hooking up with, not one from Seattle...I'm totally confused now Good luck either way.

Tina - oh, yes, the dreaded paper work...good luck with all that.

Melanie - I don't have a Kindle but I got to use one while reading the Hunger Games, and I've got to admit, it was really enjoyable, and so easy to use.

Monica B - One of the things my kids ate when they had their wisdom teeth removed was what we call "bear" porridge (Cocoa Wheats). I hope you have someone bringing you there and taking you back home. Hugs, girl.

Barb - Yes, I lived in California for a few years during my younger, more adventurous days, LOL. I moved there when I was 21. I lived outside of San Francisco, and worked in San Francisco. There is always something to do there, and so much to see.

Well, my sister-in-law passed away...they had put her in hospice a couple of weeks ago. She had been on 100% oxygen for a few years now. My other brother called me last night and left a message and I called during my break at J's. I wanted to leave work...but found that working helped me not dwell on it. My brother is going to be lost. They had been married since I was 15! So, if you could keep him in your prayers, I would be grateful. I have now lost three sister-n-laws. They were more like sisters, too.

Well, I need to get moving. Kicking myself in the pants, LOL.

Morning, my "friend Chuck" (my name for the sinus crud because I'd like to chuck it out the window) is here today and the whole left side of my head feels twice the size it should be. Like to never got my eye open and still can't see out it well. Already 20 after 6 and I'm still not even showered. Thinking I'm gonna be late but don't care. Can't drive til the tears stop. This site isn't helping either but I wanted to say good morning.

Toni, prayers for your family. Sounds like the woman is better off but it sure will be hard on the family.

Michelle, love Heinrich's birthday gift. Great idea! Not sure what you could have done about peace either unless you bought him a world domination board game like Risk, LOL.

Monica, hope today is better for eating and that the pain isn't too bad. Don't over do it.

Have to get off here, keep having to correct typing errors because I can't see the darn keyboard (didn't turn on the light, only have the screen light and the start of daybreak coming through the window).

Have an awesome day all!

Good morning. Didn't get my list done yesterday but made a dent in it so going to treat my self to scrapping today around taking care of Ms. Charley of course.

Toni- I am so sorry for the loss of your SIL. big hugs your way and prayers for all.

Michelle- glad you pulled something together. certainly sounds like a nice present.

Theresa- you need to call in sick and stay home and netti pot it today. poor gal. hope it gives you relief soon.

Debi-- I guess today is the day we can start smoking pot legally. I loved the DA's comment "well you can't buy it legally, but if it falls from the sky or you happen to find it laying on the ground, you can light up." Ha! I know the college kids are celebrating today with their "finds."

OK, need to get my coffee and get lunches made. Have a great day!

Not only can we smoke marijuana legally (except we can't grow it, sell it or buy it...hmmm and we can't use it anywhere in public (just like public drinking) or on University campuses or federal jobs sites or any business that requires drug testing....) but as of midnight we can now legally marry a same-sex partner (with a 3 day waiting period)....wonder if Sunday's marriage ceremonies will have marijuana receptions...

I especially like that the city has declared they will issue warnings only initially if you are caught smoking weed in public. So it's legal ot possess and use up to 1 oz of marijuana, just not legal to acquire it. Does anyone else see anything wrong with this premise?

MICHELLE good job on Heinrich's gift.

DIANA I'm off to make my tag.

The boys are going to a middle school basketball game with a friend this evening (first time they've even showed an interest in going to a sporting event...especially at their school). I have a feeling it own't be the last.

MONICA B glad you are feeling pretty well. Don't do anything too fast though. A few good days of rest are always a good prescription. Is your mom staying with you for a few days?

I'm sure we have a lot of happy college students here with over 35,000 at the UW alone, plus the 3 community colleges and Seattle U....we're overrun with 18-25 year olds. And since the law isn't clear on how they are going to deal with misuse of marijuana or what constitutes misuse, it's uncharted territory. Funny they spent more time trying to de-regulate state liquor stores than they've spent trying to clarify how/when/and what consequences might be in place for marijuana use if it results in impaired judgement or crime. Time will tell. But it's definitely going to make convincing my boys to not use drugs harder if the state legalizes them. I was already worrying about smoking and drinking temptations. Not that use of drugs has ever been tied to whether it is legal or not.

THERESA I second the nettipot (although I use the little squeeze bottle-easier for me); helped tremendously with my sinus congestion and allergies. I was amazed at how much difference it made.

DIANA I really like the blue in your tag today. I can't believe how impatient I am. I want all the clues now instead of waiting for one a day...obsessive, huh?

TONI {{{HUGS}}} to you and your family, especially your brother, as you mourn the loss of your SIL. SO sad. Hardest thing about life, dealing with loss, IMO.

TONI can you give me a "kick in the pants" too so I'd could get something done? I have such a long list and no motivation just dread about tackling it.

I'll be back....(insert evil music here)

Debbie I LOVE that tag.

Monica hope you can play this weekend.

I'm so busy with work, I started working 32 hours a week, I need the extra money for now so it's come in very handy, but it's kicking my butt. I'm very tired and have so little time to do anything anymore.

Toni..I'm so sorry about your sister in law, you sure have had so much hard ache in your family, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Theresa...Hope your crud is gone and that you feel better.

Hope you are all doing well, I will try and catch up this weekend..

Evening, using normal saline and nasal spray, taking sinus med, feel better. Figure it will be the same way in the morning though, LOL. Busy day at work. Didn't get home til 7. Only 6 patients tomorrow at the clinic so it should be a good day. Need to gather my stuff up for the Scrapbook crop tomorrow night, we're having our Christmas party but I still hope to work on my Christmas cards.

Monica, any soft food should be fine by now. Don't eat really hot foods though because it could cause the scabs to fall off and start bleeding again.

THERESA I hate to be the one to have to say it, but it's time you break up with "CHUCK". He's mistreating you and no one needs to put up with that! LOL hope you are feeling better.

MONICA B where'd you go? You said we could keep each other company then you're a no show. Did you get worn out today? Hope you had a quiet, painfree day full of movies and maybe scrapping.

I'm watching Grey's Anatomy and then it's off to bed.

Have a great night.

Everyone is so busy! I should be with my long to do list, but seems I don't get all that much accomplished. I did get some things listed to m y Etsy store so that is good. Whenever I list stuff I sell something and it happened again and it was a more expensive item so I'm happy. May have to list some more tomorrow.

Toni - so sorry for your loss. It is hard to lose family any time, but this time of year seems to be even harder.

Linda - take care of you!

Theresa and MonicaB hope you are both feeling better soon.

Sorry I've been too lazy to get my pages posted. I uploaded a few photos so maybe soon.

We may get some snow overnight. Can use the moisture. I wouldn't even mind just a little to make it look more like Christmas.

Signing off for now.

Debi--ROFL!!! I think you're right!

I hate to be the one to have to say it, but it's time you break up with "CHUCK". He's mistreating you and no one needs to put up with that! LOL hope you are feeling better.
Thanks for making me literally laugh out loud this morning. I do feel some better, took Nyquil and went to bed a little after 8. Of course that meant I didn't get any of my scrap stuff together so I'll be rushing this afternoon but that's okay.

Face doesn't hurt this morning. Still have crusty eyeballs but thinking they'll resolve before time to leave. Didn't have to soak them open today so that's good. It's the crazy weather. 30 degrees in the morning and 60's by afternoon. The fog is so thick in the mornings that you'd think we lived in a swamp. Wearing my Christmas scrubs but feels really out of place with snowflakes on them when others are wearing shorts. Of course, I don't think 60 is warm enough for shorts anyway.

Have an awesome Friday all!

Good morning. I didn't even sit at my scrap table yesterday. So much for the best laid plans.... hope to do better at it today. Got more off my list, but I really need to do some wrapping and see where I stand on Xmas presents.

Have a great Friday everyone!

THERESA glad I was able to brighten your day. And looks like "CHUCK" might be packing his bags and getting ready to leave. You keep wearing those Christmas scrubs; it'll help the rest of the ones in "denial that Christmas is but a mere 2+ weeks away" to get in the mood.

TAMMY I'm with you. I need to inventory what I have so I know what I still have to buy and wrap. Christmas is coming mighty fast this year. I know it's the same number of days but the days just seem to swoosh by for some reason.

MELANIE nice to see you. I see several of you girls here have ETSY shops...are they all craft projects you sell?

DIANA thank you for posting early for me...of course this morning I didn't get to the computer as early as usual, but I'll definitely tackle this soon. MONOCHROMATIC? really?

MONICA B hope you are feeling even better today.

Busy Day today...lots of appointments and things to do. Might not get scrapping stuck in there, but I'll try.

Have a great beginning of the weekend.

Oh, thank goodness it's Friday! Tomorrow afternoon after work I am making tags! Come Hell or high water, I want to do some of these!

Theresa - Chuck really needs to realise he isn't welcome Maybe saline is getting the message across. Shorts in 60F weather? Your collegues are crazy I don't even think about it before it's over 80. Your Christmas scrubs sound fun. How about a picture?

Toni - um, looks like another expression local to SA, huh? Glad it made you laugh. There is a South African Peas thread here as of the 1st now and, I must say, it's quite obvious how the 'slang' comes out when chatting to them. There are words and expressions I just don't use here that are part of my everyday speech but would have you all going 'what?' Never mind that I'm bilingual and am jumping between languages all the time. I speak English to the kids and Afrikaans to DH (except when I'm angry; then it's English all the way!)

So sorry to hear about your SIL. It is a relief for her but hard for those left behind. Thinking of you and yours.

Linda - it's not fair. You drop these bombshells then just disappear for a while with no explination of how the changes happened. You may have noticed we are rather interested in each other's lives (read nosy Parkers)

Monica - glad you are coping so well. A few relaxing days are a great idea.

Debi/Tammy - I love the comments about the legal dope smoking. Wow, how are you supposed to do it legally if you can't buy/grow it? Sounds like hogwash to me. Unenforceable. I can just see all the students suddenly finding dope lying all over the ground - 'I just picked it up, officer' Or 'You've heard of it raining cats and dogs? Well, here it rains marijuana.'

I worked the whole day for a change and am quite tired tonight, so I'm going to call it a day and go to bed. Good night, all!

Whew! Caught up on praise!!! Have the car parked with the exception of the pulled pork and I'm heading out in about 10 minutes for my crop. Don't think we're going to have a big turnout. If the sinus crud wasn't bad enough we're also full swing into flu season and we've got several scrappers down. Didn't plan ahead so I'm taking way too much stuff and probably won't end up making anything but I'll have fun.

Debi - Our Etsy store is pretty much all vintage. Ephemera, buttons, photos, and misc. I just listed some old wallpaper books today. Last time I listed any they sold the same day but this time no one has eve looked. Go figure. It is oldwesttradingpost if you are interested in looking.

It did snow today and was even enough to shovel. I needed the exercise but I'm feeling it a little. Perfect wet gooey snowman snow. Or heart attack snow if you are shoveling. No attacks here though.

Have to go out for a bit in the morning and then it is supposed to snow again. So, I think I'll stay in the rest of the day unless it is nice enough to go to church by evening.

Later all!

It's past midnight so I'm posting today's tag, I have a jewelry show tomorrow and I won't have time to do it in the am.

On the Eighth Day of Christmas Tag
Today we are using a tag I pinned a while ago, it's by Lizzier
Here is a link to where she originally posted this. card.http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/2278701

and here is mine. You don't have to make a Grinch card, you can get inspired by the colors or the design, but since I live with a wonderful Grinch when I saw this card I knew I had to make one, or who knows maybe even two, for my sister's Grinch.

Happy Weekend.

Morning all! Still in my jammies, need to get with it. My sister is having some kind of food party at 12 (Tastefully Simple). Need to go check on Joyce and really should be doing some Christmas shopping locally. Randy has told me some DVDs that he wants but other than a couple of little things I haven't come up with anything for him. Still need to find Jackson something else and have nothing for my sister or Charlie at all. Tossed out the idea of getting towel warmers but didn't realize they were so expensive. Found one at a bath shop for $70 but when I researched it I found out it really didn't make the towels warm.

Didn't get anything really done last night at the crop, other than eat and visit. Helped a couple of friends with one of their projects. Carried all the stuff out for nothing but if I hadn't taken it, I would have wanted it.

Diana, hope the party goes well today.

Melanie, good luck with the etsy shop. Monica has one too. I don't think I've ever been on the site at all.

OK, stalling, have to get with it.

Have a great day all!!!

Hey ladies!!! I have a busy day of cleaning & running the kids around today, but wanted to stop by and let you know that my Mom doesn't have lung cancer. She does have some kind of fungus in both lungs. It will require treatment, but it's a lot better than having cancer.

My life is a blur right now, I can't wait til O gets home next week, I'm going to assign her all of the Christmas shopping that I haven't gotten done, trying to do both jobs is a lot right now. The new job had a welcome event for me on Thursday, the employees came to meet me and then I attended my first Board meeting and got to meet them. It was really nice.

Anywho, I have to get Mallory to her call time for a show choir concert. I hope you all have a great day!

Thanks DIANA for thinking about me when posting the next tag challenge. I saw it last night around midnight. LOL

TINA great news that your mom doesn't have cancer. What a relief! Now to do away with that fungus. How DOES one get a fungus in the lungs?
You are always so busy with transitioning jobs, show choir and all you do...do you take energy suppliments? I want your energy.

MONICA B haven't heard from you...are you doing ok?

THERESA isn't it true...you prepare tons of stuff then don't use it, but if you didn't, then you'd need it. I'm the same way. Rather have more than I need than less though. Glad you had a good evening.

I need to get the boys' hair cut today, do a bit of quick shopping in the "real stores" and then decorate the house, and get started on my online shopping.. Christmas isn't going to wait...dang it.

Here's my tag for today.
