Ok I'll play....F, hmmmmmm.

Fleece bathrobe, flannel pjs, fifty dollar gift certficate to your favorite store...

Tomorrow is the day the boys get braces...it could be a "grumpy day" so send "this will be a snap" vibes. Hopefully while the boys are at home, I will be able to get some needed things done, as well.

Got all my errands but one done today, so not so bad.

received 2 gifts in mail today but still waiting on several items. Crossing fingers they come on time.

F? Fan for the heat here, lol. Fancypants scrappy goodness.

Nylene- so glad Steve has finally turned the corner and is recovering. It has been a long road.

Melanie - hope the weather holds off so your shop can do well with the tourists. But it sounds as if you do need water. Do you get rain in winter or just snow?

Theresa - those gifts sound cute. Sure they will be appreciated.

Ruan was so brave yesterday. Three stitches later and the 'mini-me' as he called it, is gone. Sean told him he's growing another little brother! It was only pinkie-nail size! Sean has gone to my dad's for the day/night. His first sleepover with grandpa. Should be good for both of them. I'm amazed in the difference in my dad after my mom's passing. He was never very involved with my kids, but now is even talking about moving closer so he can see more of them. It's different, but I like it.

Debi- Hope you aren't house-bound for too long waiting for deliveries. Though opening packages is fun. Especially if it is for yourself (but yours are gifts, right?) Still fun after the stress of waiitng for them to arrive.

G for garden supplies

Michelle, I sure hope your Dad does move closer, that would be so good for him and the kids. I'm sure he's lonely as well as realizing just how short time can be. Death of a loved one brings those feelings out quickly.

Debi, good luck with the braces adventures today.

Melanie, it was 60 here yesterday but it feels cold this morning, had to turn the heat back on. Snow flurried Monday and we have high chances of rain storms tomorrow because the temps are supposed to drop again. CRAZY weather.

Finally tallied up the total for the gift baskets. Oh boy did I go over. Oh well, they look really nice. I don't know if I told you all or not but we have a scribe (person to type while BD dictates) that has been helping us. Our manager has been using him as his assistant and the new guy runs and tattles everything someone does to the manager. They're both named Bill which makes it hard. Anyway I really like the new Bill, he's funny and he really is trying to help the office run better BUT the other gals haven't liked him at all. Of course, they're getting in trouble all the time because he sees all the stuff that I have seen for months and the manager now believes him (annoying fact). Another anyway (long winded this morning) I call him Narc Bill (to his face of course) to distinguish between the two Bills (he's older than the old Bill). For his gift from all of us, I got him a nice leather padfolio to go with his little bag of snack foods and used my Cricut with vinyl and added "Narc Notes" to the cover. Turned out really cute. He can remove the title of course after the laugh but I bet he leaves it.

Gotta go, bored you enough. Have a great day all.

hey girls -

I took today off as it was a half day, and I really needed to sleep in a little, LOL. I keep telling myself to get something done but the ambition is so not there, LOL.

Well, according to my immediate boss he's pretty sure that it will be two years before they eliminate us, so after this year I would still have another year. I have to decide whether to just stay and wait it out, or what. I really, really love working with the kids, and when they finally get something that myself and the teachers have been trying to teach them, my heart soars. I have another new boss and she's just plain weird. Not sure what she is talking about most of the time, so I'm back to going to my immediate boss, and he's her boss too. I miss how it used to be. He doesn't like change much either, but he's working to improve things, and has done so, but in small doses, but she wants to radically change things, and she hasn't been there long enough to do that, and when she comes face to face with some of the teachers and parents, you're looking at a whole new ballgame...oh, well, I'll just try to do the best I can.

Nylene - yeah for Steve improving! That must make for a happier home.
Bless you, sweetie. Again, thank you soooo much for your sweet thoughts and prayers.

Tina - Good luck with everything you've got going on. You're just an amazing human being. Wish more people I come across could be like you.
Happy B'Day to O!

Theresa - Kudos to you for even going to get the stuff and the basket making! With everything you've gone through, they should be thanking you for doing it. Bless you, my dear. Sounds like they're some great baskets too. LOL at the new Narc Bill story. It's funny how they'll listen to one person and not another...happens at my place(s) a lot, too.

Debi - hoping the brace(s) placement went ok. It's not pleasant for the kids, that's for sure. Went through it with both Kevin and Meagan. They wanted to put braces on Steven....I laughed and said no way. He didn't even eat by mouth, and he would never have tolerated
something like that in his mouth...we could barely brush his teeth, LOL.

Tammy - Looks like you all are going to get some major snow...hope it isn't too bad for you all. How is Gary doing? Is Becca doing any better?

Melanie - Sorry about the white Christmas...we'll take it here if you want to tell the weather to shift a little, LOL. Since we've been here we've only had one white Christmas, and it was just a small amount.

I work at J's tonight...there is hardly any Christmas stuff left, I kid you not. The ribbon is gone, gone, gone, and so is a lot of the other stuff. We had two aisles of ribbon, too. It's still been sooooo busy though. I really hope tonight is not too busy. At least I slept in a little so I will have some energy left, LOL.

anyway, I hope to be here more during the Christmas break, and hope to even find some inspiration and mojo to scrap a little!

Sending you all lots of Christmas joy!

H- hand lotion, hot chocolate and hugs

Need to catch up on the chatter. I just really had to stay away from computer and the media. Opened up a puzzle to do, so that has kept me busy. The kids are now out on winter break until Jan 2. They're already in their rooms working for 15 minutes because I couldn't stand the bickering and it's 9:30 on the first day! We didn't get the snow promised, so they're bummed about that. it's just rain in our neighborhood.

Toni- I bet it's another crazy week/weekend at J's. last weekend to shop before Xmas.
Sending you hugs as you make a decision.

Theresa- sounds like a good gift for the docs. sweet of you to make up the difference.

Michelle- glad Ruan did OK with the procedure. Rebecca has a spider angioma on her cheek I'd love for her to get zapped away but I know she won't go for it.

Debi- hope the rest of your gifts arrive. I need to finish wrapping the last few I got.

Have a great day everyone!

Been busy busy around here, trying to get ready for Christmas! I can't believe how fast it has come this year. Or, maybe I'm just unprepared!

I still am determined to make Christmas cards - they just might be a little late

J for jewelry

Believe it or not I'm home. Just plain don't feel good, fever came back so at 4:30 I left. Getting ready to get in the jammies and call it a night. Was supposed to go to Joyce's after work but if I'm coming down with something I'm not going there. Called her and told her I forgot to stop by and would come by tomorrow instead IF I remembered. She laughed. Never caught on that I didn't feel good.

Toni, glad you get another year with your job. Hopefully they'll realize how stupid it is to cancel the program and keep it going.

Tammy, LOL over the kids already in their rooms. Sounds like it is going to be a loooooonnnngggg Christmas break for you.

Don't remember anything else but do hear the jammies calling.

well TAMMY you might have missed out on the snow, but we didn't. Woke up to the ground covered in strange white stuff. Fortunately the roads weren't bad, and we made it to our ortho appointment on time. Got there and was told they were doing just the top braces today...I didn't know...but then he ended up doing both top and bottom as it went quickly. Owen went with red/green bands for Christmas despite the fact he's red/green colorblind (LO) and Noah chose black and white. They've been pretty good. Owen has a bracket bothering him (the very last one rubs his cheek) and Noah didn't eat much at lunch, but they seem to be in good spirts and have been playing XBOX all day. I took a nap, well didn't plan on taking a nap, but fell asleep so guess I needed it.

THERESA sounds like CHUCK sent in a friend. time to kick the whole bunch of them out. Sorry you're feeling poorly. A good rest will do you a world of good. My mom has come down with a cold, first one n years. So hope she recovers quickly too.

Not sure why I'm so tired, hope I'm not coming down with something, but I could just go back to sleep and it's only 4:30.

Santa watch has turned up no gifts delivered today. hmmmm.

Rain has moved in so snow is gone here anyway. My brother had more than 6 inches at his house though.

K is for kittens, I ask for a new one every year. Thankfully, my husband knows better than to buy me a new cat annually, I would look like a crazy cat lady.

Toni - glad to hear that your position will be there next school year, that is great news. I hope you had an easy evening at J's tonight.

Theresa - I hope you feel better soon! The gift baskets sound awesome.

We had my big going away party at work tonight, I call it a "retirement party". It was really nice, the best part was that my managers made me a scrapbook with handwritten notes from staff all over the agency and photos of my time here. It was awesome, I'm sooo glad that I didn't read it til I got home, it really made me cry. My boss gave me a charm bracelet with several personalized charms, it's super sweet, I loved that too. Only 2 days left, tomorrow should be a reasonably easy day. I'm spending it in our rural office that I worked in for my first 7 years, they are throwing me a pitch-in, which is super sweet of them. I'm hoping to get through that day without crying...leaving all of my friends is so hard.

Anywho, I hope you are all having a nice evening!

Tina

Still cold here! Need to finish Christmas letters. If you'd like me to send one Pea Mail your address. I had the contact list but I lost the one I printed out must have deleted the message.

Good thing I don't have to get up for work because I got started watching a Christmas movie on the Hallmark channel. One advantage of being off in the winter!

Goodnight all.

O is for the orange Santa always puts in the stockings

Debi, glad the boys braces went well. Now the battle to stop them from eating all the stuff they're not supposed to. Tell them my son had to wear his an extra year because he didn't follow instructions.

Melanie, I love Hallmark Christmas movies. Randy even watched Christmas with Holly the other night. Said it made him cry a little bit but he really enjoyed it.

Tina, so sweet of your employees to make you a scrapbook. Couldn't think of a better gift if I tried. What an awesome treasure to have. Good luck the next two days too.

Lots of wind and rain here this morning. Possible tornado already down in Mobile Alabama and the winter snow storm is hitting the Midwest. Hoping it stays clear of Delaware since Kate is flying up there tomorrow and Jeremy driving with the granddogs on Sunday.

All the crazy weather does make me chuckle when I think about God using his sense of humor to add to the craziness of the world ending because the Mayan calendar ends. I'm warped I know but it just makes me chuckle.

Gotta go. Going to take longer to get to work in the mess so I best be finishing up.

Have a great day all.

Snow day today! We only got about 2-3 inches, but it is cold and super windy. I had a lot of errands & last-minute shopping to do today, but we decided to stay home. I'm relieved to have a snow day - now I can make Christmas cards and knit and bake!

THERESA the boys survived the braces, but their mouths were pretty sore. As for Noah, he couldn't eat..."even the noodles were too tough." They are taking ibuprofen, and I noticed Noah got up in the middle of the night to take more. Usually he sleeps like a log. They are still asleep this morning though --2 hours later than usual. I hope they sleep a long time as I know it's easier if you sleep.

So what things are they supposed to avoid eating? Can you give me a list? The ortho was rather sketchy on that.

Today it's pouring, and I mean pouring, down rain. Guess it will be a stay at home kind of day--I have plenty of things to occupy myself. Worried about one gift...the first one I orderd (online 12/8) recorded as mailed on the 11th but the tracking record has it sitting in NJ since the 11th. It hasn't moved...what's up with that? Geesh!

I am making caramel corn today(and yes I know the kids can't eat it) but it's for the teacher's gift bags. I need to wrap gifts, and finish laundry (I thought I did that a couple days ago, but it keeps reoccurring...hmmmm)

I should venture out of the bedroom and off the computer but I'm afraid if I make any noise the kids will wake up. SO I'm taking my time.

Hope all of you in the path of the new storm are ready.

The boys commented that it'll suck if they went through all this for their braces only to have the world end tomorrow...LOL

Take care.

Good morning. Acutally it's been a horrible morning. Woke up to a huge mess in the kitchen from josh and friend. of course their sleeping through it all. House looks like a tornado hit because as Debi said, it's been pouring. even too much rain for us WA gals, so think the combo of no walking- kids under foot all day- and mess messing with my OCD that I lost it. Screamed and yelled and made everyone clean. Except I don't feel better. *sigh* KNow there was better way of handling it but I didn't chose well. Need to lock myself away for a time out I think.

Debi- this is our ortho website and their list life with braces

Monica- enjoy the snow day!

To all of you in the blizzard's path, stay safe!

R for the red clothes that are everywhere!

Snow flurries here, no snow. Do have horrendous wind that has resulted in trees down, power outages and Christmas decorations being blown everywhere all over the area. What a mess. Saw 8 trees down alongside the road on the way home. Randy's out at his manager Christmas party, glad I'm home safe and sound.

Debi, Jeremy couldn't have popcorn, nuts, taffy, chewing gum or basically bite into anything hard. He didn't do too bad but every now and then he just couldn't stay away. Ended up popping bands more than once.

Tammy, I'm thinking I would have saved the mess for the mess makers to clean up.

Well still haven't done Christmas cards to send to the people that sent to us and have some present left to wrap so I really need to get off my lazy butt and get to work. Watching The Christmas Consultant on Lifetime Movie Channel. So far it's cute.

S = Silhouette, snuggie, shoes, scrappy stuff or sewing machine!

Just now sitting down to work on Christmas cards. Been another busy day! But I did enjoy staying inside & looking at the pretty snow. I also got caught up on laundry - had a monstrous pile!

Tammy- ugh, sorry that you have so much stress right before Christmas Maybe you need to take a scrappy break for a while. That always helps me. Bummer that you guys don't have basements there - when we were kids, our parents always sent us to the basement to get rid of us And I'm with Theresa - totally would have made Josh & Co. clean up their mess. Actually, I'd have made them scrub every little nook & cranny!

TAMMY sorry the kids left a mess. Mine, especially Owen, is notorious for doing so. Totally oblivious that he does too, rather annoying trait.

MONICA B you are correct. That white, cold stuff is indeed, SNOW! SOunds like you made good use of your day. Any news of job offers?

My day didn't go anything like I planned. The boys stayed home as their mouths were pretty sore...although they did a bit better with eating today (very soft foods only). Owen is still taking ibuprofen.

Unfortunately I had my own mess to clean up. Noah accidently didn't get the lid on the syrup when he put it away. Somehow it got knocked over and I had 100% maple syrup spilled all down my refrigerator inside. Had to take out everything and clean. Took a long time, despite it being a waste of an expensive item...oh well. it was an accident.

Basement flooded today. I told you it was really raining. SO had to move some stuff around, to try to keep it out of water's way.

And NO gifts have yet to be delivered today...and it's nearly 7 pm. And one item I ordered back on 12/8 is still sitting in NewJersey as of the 11th and hasn't moved. Grrr! I contacted the seller (EBAY) but of course I've yet to get a response. Frustrating as this was the first item I purchased. Another item is in CHINA and another in MASSACHUSETTS. Really will be a miracle if any of those make it by Christmas. I usually have better luck with online shopping especially when I've made purchases by the 8th of Dec...

Kids wanted to know if they could open gifts early so they'd have more time to play with them before heading off to their dad's over the holidays...LOL I told them if Santa (AKA postman) doesn't deliver them soon, there won't be anything to open...

Still haven't made caramel popcorn so guess I should do it as I'm planning on sending the boys to school tomorrow, although I know they will still be uncomfortable, but it's the last day before break. They do get out 1 hr early. Now to figure out WHAT I can send for their lunch.

Hmmm I should make a few quick cards for the teachers tooo...oy. Guess I should get busy, but like others, I'm just not in the mood for some reason.

Off to check the porch for Santa deliveries...and go pop some corn.

Have a great night.

Debi

T is for me! LOL T for turtlenecks to keep my skinny neck warm.

Woke up to exciting news from one of my nieces, well she's my step niece because her Mom married my brother when she was around 7 so she's my real one to me, she got engaged last night. We love her now fiance so we're more than happy to welcome him to the family. They've been dating a few years.

Also got sent a video shot by a young man from our church who got engaged this month. He's a magician (and a good one!) and he tricked his now fiance into filming her own proposal. It made the Bowling Green news this morning too.

Here's a link if you want to watch.

Off to Madisonville to work a half day then I'm off til Wednesday!

Have a terrific break THERESA.

I got my caramel corn finished, but the clean-up (and there's a lot) is still awaiting me this morning. I packed up the teacher's gifts and finished my Christmas Card design last night, but when I tried to print it this morning it wasn't printing (go figure) so when I got home from taking boys to school, tried again and it printed first time. Oy! Electronics!

Now I'm wrapping some gifts before heading back to the school.

Made the mistake of drinking coffee at the parent social hour this morning so now my stomach is upset, I'm jittery and really want to go to sleep (coffee puts me to sleep).

School gets out 1 hr early so guess Christmas break is upon us.

And nope, nada on my porch this morning, yet.

U is for underwear which every child LOVES receiving for Christmas.

Theresa, that was such a sweet proposal. Loved it.

Got cards addressed and mailed and the shopping is done. DH and I rode the new Frontrunner (rapid transit train) to SLC yesterday to hear our granddaughter sing on Temple Square. It was 18 degrees and snow on the ground, so we didn't stay long. Ate lunch and caught the Frontrunner back home. This is the first mass transit in our area...ever! Such a fun experience. Steve was exhausted, but insisted that he wanted to go. We celebrated our 45th Wedding Anniversary. Can't believe we've been married that long. It's so nice to have him feeling like himself again, even if his energy hasn't returned. I'm grateful for his recovery.

Seems like everyone's busy with holiday plans. Merry Christmas to all if I don't get back on until after Tuesday. You are all so important in my life.

V another hard one let me think............visit from friends and family!

Cold here today. Brr. Still hoping for good weather for Christmas. It is already white here and won't be melting before the 25th so I say that is enough snow for now!

Listed some things on Etsy. Need to take more photos for listings.
Need to back up some recent photos and order prints. Need to clean house. Bake a few cookies for neighbors. We have most of the ice cream made to give.
Stay home all day today - I'm not complaining. Should be getting more accomplished though.

Read the chatter - Happy Birthday Cindy! Sounds like everyone is pretty busy.

Take care all!

W is for (in a different year perhaps a Wii but have one of those), how about a Wacom Tablet or perhaps a Warm Sweater or better yet a Wild Tropical Winter Vacation

2 gifts arrived (YAY!) but one wasn't quite what I had ordered (Ugh) and the item I most wanted to arrive somehow did, and though I was home, the delivery person didn't knock and it was sent back to the Post Office for me to P/U tomorrow plus postage is due. I prepaid postage so that's kind of frustrating too. So 2 items are still in transit, however one is in CHINA still and the other appears to be in my homestate yet hasn't budged since the 13th. We'll have to wait to see if it gets delivered tomorrow or Monday. Any betting folks out there? LOL

All the teachers were very pleased with their gifts. And I started wrapping gifts today. Boys are home, mouths are doing a bit better, but they didn't eat much of their lunch. Not sure if it was due to sore mouth or the fact several classes had treats today.

I still have to tackle the kitchen before it tackles me. LOL

MELANIE nice to see you. Hope you don't get more snow.

NYLENE so happy dh is finally on the mend. 45 years! wow now that's something to be proud of.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CINDY if you're lurking.

Ok break is over, time to start wrapping. Maybe I should put on some Christmas music.

x is for xylophone I guess, can't think of anything else

Watched two Christmas movies on Hallmark, love those! Got all the presents wrapped and have just given up on cards. Too late now to even attempt to send any. I'll do better next year. Heck, I have a head start because I still have some of the ones I made this year!

Nylene, congrats on your anniversary. That's awesome!

Good Saturday Morning my imaginary friends!

Have just the regular chores to do today, no where I have to go, whoo hoo!!!

Woke up actually feeling good this morning. I broke into a big sweat last night so I'm hoping that Chuck is gone.

I'm sure you all are busy today but try and remember to take a few minutes to think about what we're going to do with the thread next year and let me know what you want to do for January.

So far I have Chatty Scrappers doing this:

Nylene is going to keep the birthday and check list going
Monica is going to do a technique challenge
Toni or Tina (can't read my note) is going to do the sketch challenge
Debi is going to do a digi challenge

Yay, I finally have a few spare minutes to pop in. Things have been crazy busy, lol.

We are finally getting some snow, so the Christmas spirit is easier to accomplish in the mornings

We finished our Christmas Shopping on Thursday and yesterday was a fun day at the school. Christmas parties, Staff/student volleyball games. Gavin's class put on a play for the kindergarten class they are reading buddies for.

Now we are home and don't HAVE to be anywhere until the 26th so we are staying warm and cozy at home until then. Well, we will go for dinner at my parents on the 25th but they are right around the corner so that doesn't really count as going anywhere, lol. Kevin works straight through to the 26th so I had to send a request in to Santa to delay our stop a day, lol.

I wanted to stop in a wish EVERYONE a very Merry Christmas and Happy holiday. My hope is that with the boys off for the next couple weeks I'll be able to check in and catch up on what everyone is up to.

Good morning. Theresa, I too have a rare Saturday with nothing on the calendar! Not quite sure what to do with myself. LOL. Do have a few presents to still wrap that just arrived and last night Kobe unwrapped a few while we were at the basketball game. One I know has chocolate in it. Luckily there were ribbons on box but he did take the paper off of it and a few others.

Never did get 3 gift boxes delivered to neighbors. guess I should have left them on their doorsteps, but they were never home when we tried. Now those cookies are stale. Might get a dishtowel for them today instead. Don't need any more cookies baking here. I eat too many!

Nylene, Happy Anniversary! The transit trip sounded fun! My kids are asking to take the bus to Seattle again, such a novelty for them.

Debi- so frustrating about the packages. I hope the others arrive today. There was a delivery truck on our street at 9pm last night, so hopefully they're out there today pulling it off for Santa.

Have a great day everyone!

Happy Anniversary Nylene!! You and your Husband are such an inspiration, proof that with hard work a marraige CAN last the test of time(and patience I am sure, lol) I am very happy to read he is feeling like himself again.

Theresa: I agree with you on the hallmark Christmas movies. I am watching the Bravo channel today and it has one Christmas movie after another. Some I actually haven't seen before which is a hard feat, lol.
Congrats to your Niece Theresa. I watched the video yesterday and was tearing up. What a sweet lovely couple.

Happy Birthday Cindy!

Well, that is it for this break. I am working backwards.

Nice to see everyone popping in.

Up early, but kids are sleeping in. it's so dark these mornings with it raining the kids sleep longer. Probably a good thing as they are spending the night at a friend's house tonight. Fortunately the mom has been through braces with her older son so she agreed to make "softer foods for dinner" LOL

I need to run to the post office, the grocery store, Office Depot and Dollar Tree. wonder if I should do that before the kids get up or wait for them to stir.

I wrapped about 2/3 of our gifts last night. Not that I have that many gifts to wrap LOL, I'm just slow and I got distracted onto other things alot.

THERESA I hear you about cards, but I may still send some out today. I at least have mine designed ready to print, but I need to write my Christmas letter. I've only received 4 cards though, so I suspect everyone is rethinking the card thing. It is getting mighty expensive to send cards these days when it is so much easier to email or Skype people. I write the letter more for me anyway as a reminder of the challenges and successes of the year.

Glad CHUCK is leaving. It's about time.

Although I have a fair amount on my list of TO DO's today, it feels like I don't. I think I'm in denial, since it's so quiet here. Of course once the boys are up, everything changes.

Enjoying a cup of PEACH tea while I wait for the inevitable.

AND OH...the world DID NOT END yesterday, so guess we all need to get on with the holidays and life.

Hmmmm, maybe I spoke too soon. Perhaps the world ended and I didn't notice...where is everyone?

I'm all alone in the house; kids are at their friends. TV is on with Hallmark Christmas Movies to attempt me to be in the "Christmasy spirit" but all I want to do is snuggle up with a blanket and keep warm. Been cold all day.

Santa came through...all packages accounted for except the one in CHINA...maybe Santa doesn't go to China...LOL

I can't believe it's not even 5 p.m and I'm ready to call it a night. wonder what I can eat/drink to reve my energy up. How's everyone's prep going? Many of you may be enroute to family already since it's the weekend. And the nasty storm isn't helping matters. Hope you are all safe and warm.

White Christmases are over-rated.

Catch you later.

Evening all. Well no sooner than I posted I didn't have to do anything I got a call from Trish who wanted me to go shopping with her. She hadn't picked up gifts for Jackson's buddies. We had a good day and I found a couple of presents for Randy and an outfit for me, whoo hoo. Traffic wasn't as bad as it was last weekend. I expected sales to be better than they were but since I didn't really need anything guess I shouldn't complain.

We went to a outdoor store and you wouldn't believe the people that were in there buying assault style weapons. Ridiculous. They even had a sign that said buy them while you can.

Debi, bummer that the gifts haven't arrived. May have to find a photo online, print it out and wrap it up.

Lori, that wasn't my niece in the video. It was a young man that grew up in my church. My niece did get engaged this weekend too but they didn't video it. Hurray for getting to stay home for a few days, bummer DH has to work but I know what that is like, nurses never get off for the holidays.

Well looks like there is another Christmas movie on, this time on the Lifetime Movie Channel so off I go.

THERESA between you and I, Christmas Movies on TV....all we need is a cat.

You misread, I HAVE received all but one gift in the mail finally. THe one missing, is ok as it was an extra gift anyway so nothing really lost. Now to finish wrapping them.

I also finished my Christmas letter to go with my card, so I guess I should address envelopes. I know many won't arrive BEFORE Christmas but most I hand deliver anyway.

I did a layout about my family's tradition of hunting for a tree. Here it is:

Good Morning Sweet Peas!

Happy Christmas Eve Eve! I have been power shopping the last couple of days and have my shopping all done finally - yay! We are leaving to go to second service this morning, Mallory wasn't ready in time to go to the first service...oh the joy of teenaged girls & their primping.

I had a really busy, emotional week. So many people came by to see me this week, so many sweet words, so many tears. I'm glad that this part of my transition is done, it was very difficult emotionally. Friday night I crashed and went to bed at 9, woke up Saturday feeling much better and yesterday was a great day...I finally feel in the mood for Christmas and all that it means.

Nylene - Congratulations on your 45th anniversary!!! That is awesome, I'm also really glad that Steve is feeling better.

Theresa - Toni is doing the sketch challenge, not me. Debi & I are taking turns posting the thread. I thought we had also talking about linking to some of the Garden Girl challenges (but can't remember if that got voted up or down). I'm thinking that others were going to post various challenges from time to time also. I will just need all of the new challenges sent to my by the 30th so that I can get the new link up on New Years Eve.

Monica - Are you going to make us a new graphic for the new thread? You don't have to, but just thought I would check.

Anywho, I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!

Tina

morning girls -

As usual J's was terribly busy yesterday, not so much the fabric area, but the rest of the store, and seriously we do not have a lot of stuff left, LOL. Then I went grocery shopping because I do not plan on leaving the house Monday or Tuesday, LOL. Came home last night after shopping though and wasn't feeling very well. My sweet Kevin had picked up some wine for me (my favorite kind, btw). So pretty much just had some dinner, some wine, folded some laundry, and just relaxed. I've been getting the beginning Bones series through Netflex, so I watch them whenever I can. So that's what I did. And then of course fell asleep...on the couch...again. But I slept alot so woke up feeling much better. Probably just needed some rest...I hope. No mojo here yet to scrapbook. One of the girls from the "scrapbook store" i go to occasionally to scrap came in yesterday and we chatted about the next crop. Maybe I'll go to it next week. I really just have lost all desire to scrap...hard to believe.

One of our frequent customers came in and brought me one of those really cool looking scarves that twist...I was sooooo excited, I wore it all day yesterday at work. She does extradinary work. So I do need to make her a thank you gift so I'm thinking of altering a pocket calender for her. I'll have to keep it in my car so the next time she comes in I can run out and get it for her. She seriously comes in at least three times a week!

Sounds like you all are surely getting ready, if not ready, for Christmas. Although we didn't get much for anyone, I still need to wrap. I'll either do that late tonight or tomorrow.

Tina - hugs, girl. What a roller coaster week it must have been. So do you just go to the new job come next week? I will send the sketches tody or tomorrow. Found another really cool sketch site

Hugs to everyone.
Have a Super Sunday.

Had a great church service, went out to eat, ended up having the pastor sit with us which was nice, hit the grocery for baking supplies now home about to take a nap. Gotta love Sundays.

Tina, glad you posted that you and Debi were doing the thread, I thought I was. No biggie to me as long as it's done. I will stop making my lists though, LOL.

Debi, I did misread your comment about the packages. That's what happens when I don't open two windows.

Toni, that was so sweet of your customer to make you a scarf!

Have a great afternoon all. It's naptime!

THERESA I am more than happy to let you & TINA post the monthly thread since you are now the "official host of the thread", but I can help if you need me to.

My church began streaming their services LIVE so i was able to wrap gifts and watch the service from home. They have a big program tonight and repeated tomorrow night, so I hope to attend that in person.

Sure wish I could get over being tired. I feel exhausted from the moment I get up. Geesh...

Ok back to getting ready for Christmas. BOys come home in 1 1/2 hours.

Debi, hey seriously, it's totally okay for you and Tina to do the thread. Doesn't make any difference to me at all.

Hey Jan! Good to see you sweet lady. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

Theresa - I sent you peamail.

Toni - I start at the new job on the second of January, so I get a few days off work. I am going to go over to the new place sometime next week to decorate my office a little, the kids want to visit there before they go back to school to see where I'll be, so I thought they could help me unpack.

Ladies - are any of you going to try to do Project Life this year? I tried it last year, made it through about 8 or 9 weeks and then got behind and gave up. I was thinking I might try a less intense version of it this year, maybe just a page or two a month. I really like the weeks that I did last year, I just could not keep up with it trying to do it daily. Thoughts?

Anywho, I am looking forward to having time to scrap again, I haven't even printed up any pics in a couple of months. My staff got me a gift card to A's, so after Christmas, I'm going to go over there and see what's new, this is the longest that I've ever gone without being there since they opened...they probably miss me (& my $).

Have a happy evening ladies!

Tina

Jan so good to see you!!!

Hope everyone has a good day with family and friends.

Trish is having her annual Christmas party so we'll be going there tonight. Still have to make the Santa Sinker dessert and dessert for Joyce's house tomorrow. Then have to go to my sister, Randy's Dad and my Aunt Ruby's house to deliver presents so I'll be busy today.

Made Oreo balls last night (first time, oh my are they yummy). Crush a package of Oreos (great stress buster) and mix with a package of softened cream cheese. Mix until it looks like thick mud (Randy said if mud tasted that good he'd be outside more often). Roll into balls and then dip into chocolate. Let the chocolate harden. Oh my...

Here's the Santa Tracker (link) in case you want to see how soon Santa will be at your house.

well I got the boys to take their Santa photo but our timing was off. I couldn't ge..t them to get up early to be there when it opened so by the time we got there Santa was leaving for lunch (1 hr) so we had to wait for over 1 hr just for Santa to be back in his chair. I'm curious, but is anyone's else's Santas not wearing their red coats and hats? Both the Santa Mom and I had photos taken with and today's Santa had on red pants, a blue Christmasy pattern shirt, red suspenders and NO HAT. What's up with that? I'm going to have to stop this tradition or have the boys go earlier in the season when there are discount places to go because a 5x7 Santa photo is now costing over $25...ridiculous!

Stopped at Old Navy to pick up some jeans on sale (good price but they only had 3 pairs in the store that were the right size) and the store was a total zoo. In fact I was surprised at how busy the mall was. Wow lots of people out shopping on the day before Christmas.

Now I'm home, needing to label all the packages. Owen is pacing wanting to open something today...although I don't know what to have him open.

Noah said he'd go to church with me tonight. I suspect Owen will choose to stay home.

SO I need to wrap up Christmas so I'm not up all night getting ready. Hope you have a great holiday.
