Merry Christmas Sweet Peas!!!! I hope you all have a wonderful day.
We are headed out to my parents farm, we've had such a nice Christmas so far. We had Ron's entire family over last night, it was our first time to host it, but it all went really smoothly. It was nice.
Take care ladies!

Popping in to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!! If you are travelling please stay safe.
Theresa, don't count that Sillhouette out yet. I bought a one a month ago and LOVE it. It hasn't been used as much as I would have liked yet but hopefully over the next couple weeks I can get some crafting time in, lol. It is wonderful that you don't have to buy different cartriges for different fonts and many dingbats work with it too.
I was spoiled(as was everyone else, lol) Kevin upgraded my phone and my camera. I now have an iphone5 and a canon t2i I am looking forward to getting back into taking pictures of my boys again. Kevin got the Camera from one of the girls he works with that upgrade hers(does photography on the side)so it came with some extras.
I will be back later to check up a bit.The boys are in lego up to there ears, lol and watching season 4 of the Clone Wars so they are being amazingly quiet.

My goodness Tammy, if you're not on osteoporosis meds you need to be, your bones are too brittle. Hope they can fix your wrist easily and that you didn't really damage your knee to bad. Glad Christmas was "the best!"
Lori, hurray for upgrades with attachments!
Toni, Randy let me sleep late today too. Didn't get up til 7:30. Talked to Jeremy and he said he had just told all of Kate's family about how until he was around 12 he was up at the crack of dawn and then after that Dad was the one that got up early to open presents. Of course he would "accidentally" wake us up. He said everyone was laughing, Randy doesn't remember it that way, LOL.
Speaking of Jeremy he said it was an awesome made house there this morning with so many people. The most we've ever had here is four. Said it took hours just to open presents because they do it one at a time. They are already planning for me and Randy to go up there next Christmas. I'm figuring there might just be a new grandbaby in the planning stages so Kate, who plans ahead, is getting everything set. Never been up there and Randy said he'd go so we're in. We'll see though.
Speaking of Randy, he's snoozing away over in his recliner. I'm trying to upgrade the IOS on the new phone so I can switch over. Not real happy about it but he said he couldn't take it back. Had to order a new Otterbox and will have to get a new charger cord for the car. Nothing wrong with my old phone, silly man. Did have fun playing with Siri though.
Also have decided to keep the Silhouette. After reading up on it, sounds like it'll be good to have. It will even cut out images that I print out and put in there. For example if I want to put a photo of Jackson playing the trombone, it'll use some kind of electronic eye thing and cut it out! Sounds intriguing.
Think I'm going to go put in the first disc of Downtown Abbey and see what all the hub bub is about. |

Merry Christmas to all my sweet Peas!
I've been Mia for a few days as life just got crazy here. Amanda, my assistant in the pharmacy with the tumour behind her eye, took a dramatic turn for the worse this past week. MRI later and the radiation didn't work; it has grown and is now causing mini-strokes. She is forgetfull, numb down her right side and it is doubtful whether she can come back to work. I've been trying to organise a social worker, unemployment benefits and a replacement. Not the easiest thing this time of the year. And my heart is breaking for my dear friend.
My dad has also had me (and himself) in a tizz. He met a woman via a dating website and, not to go into all the gory details, but we thought he was being scammed as she asked for money before they have even met face-to-face. Lots of research later (involving Napa in California, London, Prague, Paris, Tanzania and South Africa!) it seems she is legit after all and is on her way here from Munchen tonight, arriving in Cape Town tomorrow. I am still a worried about him but am dying to meet this woman who has turned his world upside down.
Also had to deal with the first Christmas without my mom. It wasn't too sad though I find myself talking to her alot these days. Suppose because I'm so worried about my dad... I did manage to make my first gammon ever and it turned out delicious! I'm no domestic goddess(Heinrich does most of the cooking) so it was quite a feat for me
Lots of blessings and love to you all and hope you have a more restful time than I am...
Tammy, take care of yourself and let the others do stuff for you. Hope the knee is okay too.
Debi - don't think Christmas features in China much, so they don't have the rush we do- maybe it can be a New Year's gift, lol?
Nylene - Happy Anniversary! That is amazing. Congratulations. May there be many more. And I'm so please Steve is finally getting better.
Theresa - change it up for Christmas next year. Why not? It can only be fun with so many people. And DON'T sell the Sillhouette! I love mine and I know Katy does too. It is really versatile and fun. Which one is it? I still have the original and love it. Download the software and the Silhouette Online Store has weekly free shapes you can get (at the moment there are a few free Christmas shapes available!)I use it for titles all.the.time. Cuts any true type font on your computer. Okay, I'm raving a bit, but it is just such a nifty machine.
Jan - glad you popped in!
Lori- you too! Hope you get some scrapping done. Sounds as if you are having lots of fun.
Melanie - busy,busy, busy!
Toni - don't force the scrapping. The mojo will return in its own good time. Maybe jot down ideas for pages if you don't want to do any 'real' scrapping.
Waving hello to everyone else! I need to get off the computer and do a bit of admin. The novel is getting a bit too long now |

Good Morning Peas!
I am hanging at home, watching the snow pile up. We are in the middle of a blizzard...yay! Since I don't have anyplace to go, I'm all about getting snowed in. We are supposed to get 10-14 inches of snow today and we got some ice early this morning. Most everything here is closed down, so I'll be in my lovely pink scrap room for most of the day.
Theresa - All big family Christmases remind me of the Christmas Vacation movie...I can't help it. That is one of my favorite shows, it does sound like fun, I hope you & Randy go next year and have a great time.
Michelle - Hugs to you & your friend, that sounds awful. I hope that you are able to hire some help and that she finds comfort and recovery.
Well, I'm going to get off of the computer and go play. Have a happy day all!
Tina

Happy Day after Christmas. Mine was quiet and calm..."Peaceful" is hard to get used to when you're use to chaos. LOL Boys slept in. Owen was a bit impatient but he had agreed to let Noah sleep til 9 a.m. so we waited. Noah took every minute in bed he could before getting up, the little imp. I don't ever remember sleeping in as a kid for Christmas. We opened presents...mostly clothes for the boys but I surprised Noah with a NY Yankee Phiten and Owen with a Halo4 controller so they were happy. No fancy electronics here although I know Noah really wants an IPOD touch but I couldn't even get one for less than $175 on EBAY and that was way over what I had to spend. Then we had breakfast, showered, got dress and loaded up the car with gifts for grandma. Left around 11 :30 a.m. It was snowing (more rain/snow) mix when we drove to mom's but other than being hard to see through, it wasn't sticking. Mom's house smelt wonderfully like turkey cooking in the oven. The boys were busy playing with their Rubik's cubes and were unusually quiet. Owen finished his book before we opened presents at mom's. More clothes, a couple of board games and each got a baseball cap of their favorite teams (which both wore the rest of the day, despite grandma not wanting them to wear hats in the house-LOL). Had a lovely dinner, boys behaved and didn't complain although I know neither likes turkey. Then we played Apples to Apples until my brother had to go home, and then watched Hunger Games DVD. Headed home, I went to bed, the boys played on their Xbox til 11 p.m. And that was our Christmas.
Today is just a hang out day. Boys are now getting up at 9:30 so guess I need to get up and turn on the heat.
MICHELLE I had to look up what a "gammon" was...and the first definition that came up was "hand-made grenade" LOL But reading further I see a gammon is basically an uncooked ham. Yum!
THERESA it's time for you to be over with the sinus crud and good for you for staying home. I agree, if I feel appreciated at work, I'll be in there without complaint no matter how I physically feel, but hey if I don't enjoy work then it's hard to justify going in when you are less than your best.
Congrats on all of you who got fancy new phones and scrapping equipment. How fun to play with those. I think you'll like the Silhouette from what others are posting. I don't have anything like that, but then I don't paper scrap anymore. I probably should upgrade my photoshop elements but I'm content with what I have for now.
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. Enjoy your time off if you have it. And Tina have fun in the snow.

I scrapped, whoo hoo! Granted it's digi, but it's a start. It's for the sketch challenge. I just had to scrap these photos that my sister sent me today of Austin and his Elf on a Shelf. He is so convinced he's real. Cried like a baby when he didn't show up the day he was supposed to. Michelle told him he was there, Austin just couldn't find him (she actually forgot to put him out) and he bought it. He was really sad Christmas Eve because he knew Elfy was going back to the North Pole. Can't say he made him behave any better, LOL.

hey girls -
yeah for the day after Christmas I know for most, it's a little on the depressing side, but for me, I'm thankful it's over...LOL...I know, terrible thing to say. We had a wonderful Christmas. Both Kevin and Meagan are the best kids ever. We spent the day together and it was very pleasant. They were happy, to say the least, with their present, and so grateful. Thank goodness.
Anyway, I did scrap a little last night. I got the bookmarks challenge done...a double pager!
Here is the original:
Summer of T- Ball
Here is Mine: (I haven't been able to figure out how to add a post/page to my gallery project yet. Haven't really tried in a while.
But anyway...my first CG project since September, maybe even August...thats very, very sad.
To Gram From Us with Love
Anyway, hope I can possibly get one or two more done before the end of the year...but we'll see. I have to work all weekend, plus New Year's Eve, so maybe not. LOL.
Have a great night. |

Oh, Tammy, I am so sorry about your wrist. Is it right or left? I broke my right at this time last year. Steve holds me up wherever we go!! Hope your knee is OK. I banged mine hard when I fell, but didn't realize it for months because of the broken nose and wrist. Hugs and more hugs to you as your recover. You are in my prayers as is the surgeon who will work on you.
Finally, I am caught up on Calendar Girls and Pokey Peas. I hate getting behind because it takes forever to catch up.
We had the grands sleepover the day after Christmas so nothing go accomplished those 2 days. We did put together 3 puzzles and the kids had a good time with cousins. Now today the house is so quiet it's weird.
Michelle, I'm so sorry about your assistant. What a difficult thing to be dealing with. We attended a viewing for a neighbor my age who died of an infection just before Christmas. He's been in poor health for some time, but the infection took him. Makes you realize how quickly you can lose loved ones.
Steve is doing really well. I appreciate your thoughts and prayers. I can see that he'll be back to normal in a couple of weeks. So glad they jumped on his infection quickly and got his BP under control.
Hugs to all of you! PRAISEMARK |

I really don't know how to start or what to say... sorry for being MIA for more than two years!
I came looking for a picture of one of my projects, and saw a message from Nylene wishing me a happy birthday (thank you Nylene!!)... and I thought: why? If I love these place so much, how come I never came back??
TwoPeas looks so different now, I need to take a little tour to get familiar with all the changes.

TERE welcome back! SO happy to see you again. I hope you keep coming. FYI we're changing names in January to CHATTY SCRAPPERS since we no longer have a calendar to work from and well...we're awfully chatty whether we scrap or not. LOL so don't overlook us. Yes 2peas did a website format change recently. Many of us don't care for it as the colors are too light and too much white, making it hard on our "older" eyes but we're perservering. Magnifying the page helps.
Sure wish I was doing something interesting to report, but nada. BOys are gone for a week. I'm sitting here trying to decide if I get off the couch and clean up the dining room (paper piles are back) or if I ignore it and watch Wheel of Fortune. So far, tv is winning out. LOL
I need to go hunt down some addresses...lost all of my records when the computer crashed and never did rebuild my address book. There are good reasons to keep a paper copy of things like that, huh?
Maybe if I sit here I should clean up my computer, unzip files, organize and tag kits...always stuff to do.
Have a good night.

Good Morning Peas! I agree with THERESA, it's getting annoying to have the thread have problems every morning...I did send a trouble ticket this morning, and it seems we're back up but wonder why OUR THREAD seems to be the only one with this recurring problem....
I ended up watching TV. Didn't even clean up my computer. Geesh what a slacker. Now I'm up and still haven't done much. Guess I ought to get busy. I'm so bad at being motivated. Great at making lists, bad at doing them.
Now I'm hungry, so perhaps I should get something to eat. Thinking about making a crockpot recipe I found online...chicken (turkery)dried cherries (dried cranberries) and golden raisins and wild rice. Well the basic recipe sounds good even if I'm substituting ingredients. So maybe I'll go start that in my new crockpot so I'll have something new for dinner and I can use up some of this "leftover turkey".
I think it's going to be a day all to myself...so either I need to do something or I'm going to be awfully bored. Scrapping doesn't interest me at the moment, but we'll see. I have a few photos left from christmas to do and a few from this year that I noticed I hadn't done yet, so who knows, maybe this week I'll finish 2012....
Have a great day!

Hey ladies! I'm sooo glad that our thread is working again, I don't know what is up with it.
Life here is going swell. It's been nice just to spend time with the family and relax. The girls and I went to see Les Mis on Friday. We really liked it, the music is amazing and Hugh Jackman was fabulous in this show, it did feel kind of long but it was good.
I had one of my sorority sisters in town yesterday, so I got to spend a really nice day with her. We only see each other once a year when she's home to see her parents, so I always look forward to her visit. I tried out a new lemon chicken and Greek potatoes recipe on her, it turned out pretty good, the potatoes were better than the chicken though, so I will have to keep on searching. If anyone has a really good lemon chicken recipe and can send it to me, that would be great.
I also got my December mini album done, I still need to print the photos and put them in, but it's done otherwise. It felt good to scrap again, it's been too long. I plan on getting my Katy-lift done tomorrow and hopefully another challenge or two.
Have a great weekend ladies!

Hi everyome, what a week, rushed Stan to the hospital on Thursday night, had a pulse of 200, he was out yesterday afternoon, has super ventricular tachycardia. He was put on a low salt, low sugar, low fat diet. how fun my life is giong to be.
We had a birthday party for Natalie today, it was very nice. We kneaded dough and made pizza, decorated cupcakes and made chocolate cover strawberries. Lots of fun.
Well I think I'm ready for bed, will come by tomorrow to read.
Tere it's so good to see you. Hope to see you more often. | |

Hi ladies! Wow how I've missed you all. I got real busy trying to get Christmas gifts made and with the girls' school stuff. But i did manage to get them finished and in the mail to my sister and her family in time for Christmas. anyways So much to catch up on here.
Tammy - Sorry to hear you broke your wrist and need surgery.
Nylene - so glad Steve is doing better. Congratulations on your anniversary.
Debi - Enjoy your kid free week. I'm ready for mine to go back to school. Not sure what I'm going to do with them for another week.
Diana - Sending prayers for your Stan and you as well.
I didn't open another window so I know I'm missing a lot. Happy birthday to those of you with December birthdays I know there were a couple of you. Well have a good night all. |

Diana, after seeing the size of that pig you all roasted no wonder Stan's BP was up! As much as that man loves food you're in for fun that is true.
Debi, glad you enjoyed your do nothing day. That turkey recipe sounds good. I use left over turkey and make a cranberry wreath with crescent rolls. It's a Pampered Chef recipe, you can google it. It's really good, kind of like a turkey salad inside the baked bread.
Tina, how fun to have your friend come by. Glad the snow didn't keep her away.
We're home from the Creager get together, had a really nice time. Actually it's the first one we've had in 7 years due to conflict (both with dates and with family members) and we all really had a good time. Several family members didn't get to come due to the weather and work schedules but we still had a big crowd. Took my camera, snapped a few photos and then forgot all about it. Certainly out of photo taking practice because I let a lot of good opportunities pass me by. Played several board games, Blokus, Liebrary, Big Bang Theory Trivia and finally played the Apples to Apples game that Tammy talks about. Liebrary needed more adults but we enjoyed it anyway.
Headed to bed before long, had a picture fall off the wall at 1 a.m. this morning and thanks to the steroids I'm taking I was wired for sound and couldn't go back to sleep til almost 3. I'm beat. |
I always say what I mean, I just may not mean to say it out loud!

THERESA it is annoying isn't it to always have the thread show an error. I've been sending in trouble tickets too and asked what's causing the problem. THey don't seem to know.
I'm up, back from church, and sitting in front of the heater vents as I'm cold. And when I'm cold, it's really hard to get me moving as everything hurts. I hate being cold over most every thing else.
Mom called yesterday afternoon, wanting me to come up and take her grocery shopping. SO I did. Stocked up on some discounted frozen food items, but her freezer is now stuffed. I have such a small freezer, I don't have much room for anything...so am going to make an inventory and a plan to use some of what is already in there so I can cart home some of the stuff I bought yesterday with mom.
Mom interrupted my task of sorting through all the paperwork on my table, so guess I'll get back to that today.
Can't believe it's already 1:30 and I've done squat.
Catch you all later.

Good evening all. I have to agree that it is really annoying not being able to get on here when I actually have a few minutes to spare. I still can't believe that this year is almost over. I have no idea where it has all gone. But on a bright note I actually did one of the challenges for this month. I still have to scan it but I love the way it turned out. I want to sit down and do another tonight but I'm not sure that I can stay up that late. Just thought I would check in real quick since the tread is working right now. TTYL |

I thought I jinxed this thread when I posted, glad to know it wasn't me! LOL
Love the new name for the group.
I haven´t scrapped much, instead i have made lots of cards. One of my goals for 2113 is go back to scrapbooking.
Debi, I took few digi classes over at Jessica Sprague's website. I loved them. I don't think i'll switch completely to digi, but I do like it a lot.
It does feel good to post here again. I even told Danny, and his response was: oh si!, your friends from green peas!
Well, at least he remembered half the name.
See you guys soon, stay warm! |

well, it's certainly nice to be able to post again - I wonder what is up with that.
Anyway, just wanted to say hi. I want to scrap, but then again I don't, if that makes sense...
Tere - so good to see you, girl.
Jodi - your little girl is getting soooo big
I really can't believe another year has gone by again...seems like just yesterday it was the beginning of 2012. I sure hope this coming year is a better one...for a lot of people.
Tammy - I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. Hugs, girl.
love you all.

I hope we don't continue to have problems getting into this thread. It has seemed jinxed!
Diana, you and Stan are in our prayers. I totally understand about the worry you must be feeling. The first two months of our dieting, exercise, etc. was pure misery. Of course I was the grumpy one, not Steve, but it was hard until we got into a rhythm. We've done OK through the holidays, just being sensible about eating. Hugs to you!!!
It seems impossible that this year has slipped by so quickly. I see the growth in my grandchildren, but it seems like the years are becoming a blur. Guess that's a sign of old age!
Tammy, you are in my prayers for your surgery tomorrow. I know things will go well for you. I'm so sorry you have to go through this.
Goodnight, all! |
