Well...I'm taking Shimelle's Journal Your Christmas class. My intentions are good, but I'm not very motivated. I haven't prepped anything in advance. Like you, I have enough stash to do hundreds of pages. I'm hoping the class will give me a nudge. |

I have found every time I sign up for an online class, I don't do it. I just can't keep up, lose interest no matter who the teacher is. But I am intrigued about DD/JYC from what I've read here by all you Peas, so today I decided I going to do a little album on my own "Counting Down 'Til Christmas" and will take a hopefully Christmas-related picture each day and journal about the day. For today I have a pic of our Christmas mugs we had coffee in this am, 'cause its the first time we used them. Baking cookies today and tomorrow, so that will be Sundays pic, etc. I've looked at our calendar and tentatively penciled in pics to take on certain days. Hoping I keep up with this plan  |

I have often been tempted to do one as I love Christmas and am intrigued with the idea of a DD/JYC. Problem is...December is an extremely busy month and I know I could never keep up. So, I've decided to do my own Christmas journal/smashbook and include past Christmases, traditions, favorite ornaments, etc. It will be something I can add to as the years go by. | |

I just signed up for JYC today. I've been wanting to for years so I jumped in today. Nothing prepped but I have plenty of stash (and new product!)and I took photos today of my DD hanging the outdoor lights. |

I signed up for JYC yesterday and started making embellishments waiting for Shimelles email to invite me to class. I got it and now I am getting started. I didn't have anything prepared since this is my first year and I want it to reflect what is on my mind and in my heart and I will do the pretty to match. I pulled all old stash from BG and Scenic Route and I even found a brand new 8 x 8 red linen AC album still in its packaging on my shelf with the other albums. All I have purchased for this is white cardstock and washi tape. |

I wanted to do it for the past several years, but was always too busy to take it on. Last year I made myself a DD album and finished it. Love it!
I am a member of the JYC gang and love getting the email prompts, whether or not I do anything with them right when they come in.
I never added the pix or journalist to my DD. I had planned to do that with this year's pix, but we are going to be gone from home for the holidays so I am nt sure it will get done this year either.
I'll either add pix from last year and this year, or wait until next Christmas. |
