Ladies! Holy smokes... have I been busy! I've been reading the chatter, just not enough time to reply!
Monica: I'm doing a DD this year! First year! I haven't done much in it, as I didn't pre-make any of my pages so. I'm keeping track of what I want on each day, and have been taking pictures so! I'm getting somewhere! This is getting me ready for PL I think! I'm glad your oral surgery went well! Now for recovery! How is that going? What is JYC?
Loni: Hiiiiii! My hubbie tries to help with cleaning and makes it worse all the time, so i've told him just vacuume and help fold laundry and that works for me!
Elizabeth: Congrats! That sucks about the nausea. I'm worried that's how I will be once I have kiddo's!
Melissa: Thank you SO much for the card! I love getting handmade things in the mail as I tend to make a lot of handmade things and mail them to others! And yes! It has been -10 to -20 Celsius (14 to -4 Fahrenheit) lately here... and that's just the start!
Rachel: I sent my SS out November 29th!
Well ladies I am off to finish a few projects, wrap presents and watch youtube video's! I am off Wednesday to do baking with my Momma! SUPER excited!

Also! Whomever gets my SS package, can you please let me know once you got it! I made sure to ship early... but once it gets into the states I can't see the tracking anymore, so if you can let me know once you get it that would be great! I did pay for the signature option so!

Melissa and Elizabeth, we've had as low as -23 C this year (with a nasty windchill to make it even worse) so that's around -10 F. I've started wearing two layers of pants haha
Thanks for all the good luck! I'm going to need it tomorrow.
Monica, how was Pitch Perfect? I wanna see it!

Yeah, Monica, I was a little frustrated too. And I'm sorry I didn't tell you a week ago when it happened. I lost the internet for a few days I'm sorry the party didn't go better! Have fun sitting! I need to be like you when I babysit. Speaking of which, I often have my nephew on Tuesdays since my sister has been building her house (they moved in a week ago!) I better text her to see what her plans are today.
Lisa, let us know how your DD turns out! I haven't been able to keep up with my JYC! Though I always have good intentions.
Christina, good luck with those hard finals today! I know what you mean about the weather. Sounds like Wyoming!
Rachel, stay home with her! haha, I know you don't need the encouragement. I'm sorry, though! It was to hard for me - I didn't go back to work, as you know.
I finished my triplet nephews baptism announcements and I want to show you! I will soon, (today or tomorrow) but I'd better play it safe and take their little pictures out. |

Going to tell the mom today that I'm leaving! Eek! They hired me privately and my other family on m/f is through an agency so I called the agency to find out rates and how many nannies have autism experience... Hopefully fingers crossed everything will go smooth!

@ Rach: Fudge turned out quite well actually! Got a lot of it as well, so send my man to work with some and took some with me to work as well and now we still have some at home
@ Christina: Hope your exams are going well! I'm so glad I'm all done with that.. Although there are many perks to life as a student that I miss as well
@ Elizabeth: The recipe I got was really easy to make! I can translate it for you if you like..
@ Monica: glad to hear your recovery went smoothly!
@ Melissa: you're welcome! Glad you like it!
@ Stephanie: You're welcome!
@ Loni: Can't wait to see the baptism announcements.. And triplets... Wow!
Went back to work today after having an extra day off And will only work three days this week, because I took the friday off as well.. Even though it's not long 'til christmas, I didn't want to wait to take some time to relaxe.. After the past weeks/months I just needed some time off.. Of course yesterday went by in a blip, but I got some me-time and that was what I needed
It's been a while since I got some scrappy time though.. With all the business I don't seem to feel like it.. It's really weird.. I know it relaxes me when I do, but somehow I don't have the energy to do it Anyone recognize this feeling?

Hi Melissa -- that's great about Milo! Almost all of our friends' "December" animal issues seem rooted in the increased energy and stress level, different smells, etc. and they found the techniques I mentioned were the ones that worked. I'm so glad things are better!

I'm back, I'm back for just a brief minute. SS getting sent out today. I forgot the package yesterday and day before, ugh! Where is my brain lately!?
I'm really glad that I am finally finished with finals and research. I have decided to take next semester off from classes and just enjoy my time with my babies. I will make more time to scrapbook. I will probably take a class over the summer though and start back up in the Fall. I will only take 1 class at a time till my babies are a little older.
Monica - I am glad that your surgery went well. Stay clear of the dry cereal for a little while. Glad that you are getting a lot accomplished lately, and sorry about your scentsy. I need to check out the site because I would love some of those for the car ïŠ
Elizabeth - Sorry your morning sickness is getting you down. What size are you BTW, I have some winter/spring maternity apparel from last season if you are interested? RAK, I’m happy to send them your way if they are the right size. I have some Smalls and a couple Medium items.
Christina – Hope all your finals went well!! I just finished mine and I know how relieved that I feel that school is over for a little while for me. AND, that is REALLY cold. I thought it was chilly here in Texas. It’s been 22F each morning for the last week. It’s funny because last week it was nearly 80F!!
Rachel – I know how tough it is to leave your babies while you’re at work. I hope that the school opportunity pans out for you. I’d love to work ‘school’ hours ïŠ
Stephanie – I love my scrappy goodies!! Such a sweet ornament; it is hanging on my tree!! You’ll have to show me how to make one of those when you come to the next crop. Looking forward to seeing you and catching up!! We should plan a trip to the Little Blue House location during ‘winter break,’ I’ll be off from school/work 22nd through the 2nd. It might be a fun gal date, and Keller is kind of halfway between you and me!
Camille – I know what you mean about busy at work. The academic year is busy, busy, busy for the university, and now that I am working in PR/News/Media,/Advertising/Marketing, these areas of the university NEVER sleep. There is always something going on! It’s been really hard for me to stay up with the chatter, but I will definitely make a better effort now that I’m not overwhelmed with my schoolwork on top of job and family. SOOOOO glad that classes are finished.
Loni – I am sorry to hear about your little ones. Rashes are NEVER any fun. I hate those most of all because half the time they are not serious, but you don’t know what to do about it. You have to wait until it gets serious to get anything done at the Dr’s office. I hate rashes!

Baptism Invite
Here's the invite I made for my sister's boys. It's cuter with their faces in it, but I don't feel comfortable sharing their pics, sorry!
Melissa, oh that is such good news that you get to go back to that family after your long trip!
Christina! How were your finals? Do you have any more this week? My bro is finishing his first semester this week - YAY!!! I can't wait to have him home. We are next door neighbors. Did I tell you all the story about when my 5yo asked if he was dead after the first month he was gone to school?
Gabrielle, Their just so contagious it takes forever to get rid of them! P has them on her face now. GAH! So I'm washing her sheets daily now. We are hosting a Christmas Party Saturday and I'm not sure if I should cancel if we still have this icky rashes.
QOTD: What is everyone planning for neighbor gifts this Christmas? (or Hannukah?) |

Gab: that is so kind. I will shoot you an email. Thanks!
Loni: want to come over my house and just help me catch up with laundry. Lol. You are on a roll this holiday season. Told hubby we have to crack down on the house before Christmas and New Years. Wish me luck.
Dee: I meant to say this, but thanks so much for the Christmas card and chocolate and goodies. My kids helped me eat it bc it was sweet.
I am hoping to figure out how to upload the sonogram. Lol it looks like a little ball right now, but I'll still upload it. Yesterday I ordered Becky Higgons baby PL kit and a so excited. Ordered the girl kit (wishful hoping on my part).
I also wanted to say I am so bad. I have not made my Christmas cards . I pre cut everything and had everything ready, but when I cleaned my area that day I lost it all. Plus been so sick I don't have the energy to do anything. My houses is an example of that. I am going to try to look for them today and get them sent, but can't promise they will make those out of US in time. Hope you ladies understand.
Well it's lunch time and I got hungry little people roaming the kitchen so I better go. |

Loni, I'm done 3/6 finals! Yesterday I had 2 in a row and I am soooo happy they're over. Both were pretty tough but Anatomy and Botany are both curved classes so I'm hoping I can ride the curve! Haha The Botany one was crazy though, 20 pages of long answer questions in 2 hours, i finished with 20 minutes to spare but one guy shot out of there in 40 minutes... I have a feeling he didn't do very well. My next one is on Friday!
Gabrielle, yeah it's really chilly here but we all know how to bundle up haha. I always get super cold when I go to places like Texas because of the air conditioning, we don't even have air conditioning up here. Also, lucky you you're all done exams! I can't wait till I get to relax and stop studying haha.
I took a study break the other day and made up some cards for you ladies. I only mailed them yesterday though so it should take a little while to get to you. Anyways, I gotta get back to studying Zoology, there are so many animals I need to remember!!

Elizabeth, it caught up to me and now I'm sick and exhausted! But laundry I can handle. Keep it running and then we can watch a Christmas movie while we fold it! (That's what I did today) So the appointment went well? Yay for a peanut picture!
Christina! Yay for being done with some of the hard ones, though they all sound tough to me! I love the animals you pin on pinterest - they are so fun! We don't have air conditioner around here either! It doesn't get above 80 much in the summer. LOL! How much snow do you get? Does it stay? Ours blows away.
Monica, Did you open your package or are you waiting for Christmas? I'm trying to decide what I will do with mine when I get it.

Loni: appointment went very well. I didn't get any sleep the night before, but sure was glad to see the little bean jumping. I have two next month around my birthday. One on the 8th just for a pap and other testing and on the 9th for CVS testing. I also get a ultrasound and a CD of the session. Excited but that one is a 2 hour visit so not sure how that one is going to work.
When do tell who our SS was? I opened mine and loved it all.

Not too much going on here, just the usual. I really need to get a jump start on my Christmas cards! I decided on a design and colors, I just need to find time to sit down and crank them out. |

Yikes I almost fell behind!! ok here is my catch up...
So all the way back to pg 1.
Elizabeth... sorry you didnt miss my intro.. i didnt give one and I should have.. I am an old face to some around here this year I lost touch with this forum though... although not with some of the girls. I still chatted via fb and the chat room.. trying to make a better effort to be present here. To introduce myself to: Hi I am Jen. I am 28 yr old from Canada but I live in Hong Kong. I am married to Luke he is an Aussie. We have no kids yet but have a pup named Scoutie and with us both starting our own individual businesses she is all we have time for at the moment unfortunately.. although my mind is begging for a baby.
Monica- glad to see you are recovering well from your surgery! Sorry about the scentsy!! I really do want to order but with xmas and company start up costs at the moment I am swamped... Is it still possible to order from you in Jan? What did you win??
Melissa- Thanks so much for the card!!! It made me smile so much and brought tears to my eyes!! I hardly ever get xmas cards from anyone. Or course I do from my grandparents and best friend, but no one else. My cousins and others think its too expensive to mail cards to me. Although I mail cards out to all of them.. they end up mailing them to my moms condo in Canada that she really only goes to in the summer and I will get them whenever I see her next which is maybe the next xmas ha ha! this year I got my xmas cards in june! It really means so much that you hardly know me and you sent one! Thanks so so so much! Glad to hear the mom was ok with you going away! Are you already for your trip??
Loni_ i just signed up for JYC yesterday.. I have no intentions of doing something everyday but want to take some of her promtps to start reflecting on xmas now and in the past and get memories written down. I think it will be fun to look back on once we have kids and xmas. changes.
Rach- I cant get enough of Millie on IG!! She makes my train rides worth it!
Ok sorry havent caught up with every bit of chatter. But pretty proud at my success so far almost half way through dec ha ha.
Do busy things here.. I cooked xmas dinner for 15 people on sunday and I was coming down with something that ended up being pneumonia! Today was my first day back at teaching since last sat. It was a nice break and I got loads done on my company... sometimes its nice being sick ha ha. For those that don't know I am starting my own scrapbooking retail website here to supply Asia with awesome things and avoid the crazy shipping we are faced with and the wait times... oh umm not sure I am allowed to say much about it here... hope this long message doesn't get deleted because of that! But it is only for Asia...
I also got registered for CHA.. so waiting for my plan tickets to get booked!!! So yay!! I am going to CHA! There are sooo many other exciting things going on but I don't want to overwhelm anyone ha ha will tell more later.
Ok well its nearly midnight here and I want to finish up painting my JYC album.. then have to get to bed... got an early business meeting in the morning.

Hi! Monica, sorry about your car! That is so frustrating and awful. I'm glad you are ok, though. That's funny how you found your phone though!
Rachel, Hmm, I think I know where you are sending your package. haha. Well, I hope you find a better deal!
Dee, how is your long weekend going so far? Your IG pics make me want to play with my Silhouette!
Jen, Good luck with your business, that would be so fun to do, I think.
What is everyone up to today? My kids have the day off and they sure needed it! My kindergartner has been just exhausted and emotional this week. I don't know if the break will be long enough, actually.
Yesterday was fun, P saw Santa at Story Time and the boys had their Christmas program. My camera's battery was dead, but my mom got some good pictures. It was really fun to see my 2 nieces and my son in the same program. He went to a different school the last two years.
We are having our annual Christmas donut party tomorrow so I'm making the kids help me pick up the house today, so we can do some of the deep cleaning things I want to do tomorrow morning.
I'm trying to be cool like Monica and am doing a Christmas craft with the kids today! |

Jen: you're more than welcome for the card. i remember you saying in chat once that you never get cards so a little holiday cheer from back home is the least i could do! as for my trip, slowly getting there... we pretty much have everything from last year and we are adding cambodia into the mix

Rachel: I hear ya on shipping. I do a lot of shipping over seas and it gets crazy. I have a hard time putting 12x12 paper in a flat rate. If anyone knows the secret please share. Lol. Hubby would thank you a lot. It seems like the cost of shipping overseas has gone up, but it's hard to compare without the old postage rates. Hope you were able to send it off.
I am feeling 80% better which is a blessing. If I bend or lift heavier things my back goes out on me, but I have been trying to move about some. Actually finally got my living room looking like a living room again. Still need to put a few more scrapbook supplies away, but my hubby will be impressed. Hopefully this weekend we go see Santa and lights which has me excited. We also plan on finishing up our Christmas gifts. Proflowers here I come. I am hoping that by January I feel better to get back to scrapbooking and crafts. I need to finish one knitting projects and finish some sewing projects before the baby.
I am also hoping to make banana muffins for the kids tomorrow so that should fun. Will also post my peanut picture in a little.
Dee: I would love to know how to make the fudge for sure. If it's easy I might be able to pull it together for hubby for Christmas. He starts a diet (who doesn't) for the new year so sweets then. Thanks! |

I know it's nothing to look at now, but it is a little baby (go team pink! ) and I honestly feel like I can see an arm by the face. Hopefully not another thump sucker, but it's so cute to image what this baby will be like and such. The baby measured 9 weeks, but I was actually only 8 weeks and 3 days along.
Thanks for looking! |

Melissa: it's cool. When I saw my oldest at 5 weeks I was like what the heck is this? Lol. Yup head on left top. I flipped the picture so the head is up then the body. I'll probably get another one first week of March to learn sex and that one you will like.
So beat and not even sure why. Lol. Hubby is dealing with students unhappy about their grade at school so who knows when he'll be home. Honestly his students I wish I could smack. You are in college do the work and pass. Some of his students cheat and mad that they are failing. Glad it's almost over. Hoping it doesn't ruin our weekend of lights.
I tell you what it's good being able to chat more. Lol. Miss you ladies! Have a good weekend everyone!

I am sick to my stomach right now. It looks like I am going to have to take a break from posting on online message boards for a while, including Young Scrappers. A woman posted on the STUDIO CALICO message boards about me, revealing a lot of personal stuff. She must have been lurking on this thread, because it had to do with the pay reduction I asked for in the job I want in order to keep my social security (this & Calendar Girls are the only places I posted about it). It really saddens me that I can't share my personal life and friendships with you guys anymore. |
