ETA - If you haven't voted yet, and wouldn't mind voting for me, I'd really appreciate it!! I'm neck and neck for the top of the list in Canada - it would be a huge boost for me to win this grant!

Intuit Canada is running a Small Business, Big Wishes contest - the prize is $5000.
I would love to finish the area right outside my basement kitchen so that we can create a storage area - then I can move my cake boards, boxes and surplus supplies out to that area, and free up kitchen space for a second fridge. The busier I get, the more fridge space I need.
The $5000 would help pay for that new fridge as well!

According to the official rules, it is for both US & Canada.

I don't believe it is based on votes alone - the judging portion of the official rules:
Starting on December 3, 2012 and through December 21, 2012, a panel of qualified judges determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion will select one (1) entrant each weekday ("potential Daily Winner" with the highest-scoring Submission from among all eligible Submissions received before the award date based on the following criteria (“Judging Criteriaâ€:
Wish will transform the small business (50 ;
Small Business appropriately represents the Sponsor (25; and
Public appeal (25
Non-winning Submissions will be considered for each Contest prize.
