Grrr... Imagine won't cut w/o ink?!

I've had my Cricut Imagine for awhile, but I've been on a scrapping sabbatical for a while too so maybe I missed this on the boards before.

I have a project to complete for my classroom tomorrow.I found the perfect shape I need, but my Imagine won't cut because I'm out of ink? I'm not trying to print and I have it set on cut only. Is there a way to fix this or will it really not cut without ink? Uggghhh....

I believe you need the ink cartridges to do anything with it. You can use HP 97 and 98 instead of trying to find the imagine ink. I don't know if you need an update to use those inks or not.

Thank you for your reply. Luckily, my assistant was able to make on her crucut what I needed, but I never thought about it not cutting without ink. Wow! That's the third printing device this week that has caused me problems.
