My poor dh is just having a hell of a time with his job. I'd be specific, but I don't want to splash his bidness all over the Internet. I just feel very bad for him- he works so hard, and he does his very best, and he works with assholes. He is stressed and tired and I just wish he had an easier of time of it. Right now he could use the happy thoughts, prayers and whatever the peas can cosmically send his way. I am a big believer in pea power, goofy as that sounds!

Thanks peas!

I'll give you some. My DH doesn't like his job either. He was unemployed some last year though, so he takes this one as best he can. He hopes to start looking for another soon.

I hate thinking DH feels stuck but it's reality right now with kids to raise and a mortgage to pay. I've recently started working to help out, but I also try to do everything here so he doesn't have to stress once he gets home. It's a hard situation for everyone.

I'm sorry that he's having such a tough time at work. Been there myself, and it's really a miserable spot to be in.

Positive, happy thoughts and prayers headed his way!

I am sorry, there is little worse than hating your job or the people you work with.

Hoping the jerks find other jobs or that your DH is able to find a new job soon!

Yes melly, he does! The environment at his current job just sucks, and he is really tired of dealing with assholes, he's been at this so long now I guess his tolerance has run out well before the supply of assholes.

I can't help him except to listen, but pea power never hurts! I just hate seeing him miserable, and nothing can be done.

Thanks peas.

My DH is in the same boat. He gets along really well with his co-workers but he got a new boss three years ago and it's just been rough on him. DH started re-training/up0-skilling on his own time and his/our funding and will be in a new job with higher pay in 2013. We have a light at the end of the tunnel but still being in the tunnel is a bit of a b!t@h.

Good juju coming your way!

Praying. It stinks when you feel there are so few that care enough to do a job right. DH is in the same boat.

Mine works in a Jekyll and Hyde situation. One day he comes home and says his supervisors praised his efforts and results to the sky, the next day they put him on probation and won't say what they want changed. A week later, it's back to "you're the greatest" in the morning and "we can fire you at any moment" in the afternoon.

We work on trying to keep the home front as calm and stable as possible to balance it, but OP, I get how the pressure spill over. And you just want to go in there and stick up for your DH, KWIM?

Yes, you do. Prayers for your DH. You'll both make it through.

Definitely! I have seen the POP in action.

P&PTs for a beneficial solution for your DH, and for anyone else in a "suck the life out of you"!work situation.

Is he close to being done gryro? The last couple of years for my DH were what you are describing. He loved his actual job, but some of the people he had to deal with? Yeah, he was so ready to be done at the end.
