I use my ipad to save sketches or LO's that I see in the gallery that I want to use for inspiration.

I play games, read email, SOMETIMES Pea (I still have trouble with the app) and read magazines on mine. Never used it for any crafting.

I'd love to. Once I get a mini-ipad, or ipad. Maybe for Christmas...we'll see.

Constantly. I save the PDFs from online classes (Shimelle's most recent, Silhouette Cameo classes) to iBooks. I save photos from Scrapbook generation to have a nice size, but portable view when I making those layouts. I watch youtube videos on SB all of the time. Love it.

Definitely! I have some scrapbook related apps. And I have an album in iPhoto that's all saved layouts, sketched, scanned stuff, etc.

While I would never use an Apple tablet, I love using my Nexus for trolling blogs when I'm away from home, or watching YouTube tutorial videos. I also like being able to Google images while I'm away, to see how a product is used before I pick it up, or if it might be on sale at another place. I also got the Photoshop and Sketchbook apps so that I can take photos from my Adobe cloud and process them, or create digi stamps in Sketchbook for colouring later.

I don't have an iPad, but I have a Thrive tablet (android-based).

Am I missing something? I use it to go to websites just like I would on my laptop or pc. What is the advantage to using an app?

I use my Kindle Fire for crafting. I can watch youtube videos (IE Shimelle and the other GG's, MercyT, etc.) I have saved PDF sketches and created a book of sketches to view when crafting.

Yes, I can spell. No, my Kindle can't.
Just my humble opinion. And no, I wasn't being mean.

@susanlk: A lot of times apps are developed to make it easier to view a website or to find something specific. Depending on the site an app can be easier or harder. Amazon is a good example. Their full site has a lot going on, but if you are just price checking, the Amazon app makes that simple, and even has a barcode scanner (I use with my phone).

If you select an image and save it, it will be in your photos. Or you can take a screen shot by pressing the power button and the home button simultaneously and that will also go into your photos. You can also make albums within your library so all your sketches/inspiration is together.
Hope this helps

I love my iPad so much i got it for Christmas last year i hardly touch my desktop or laptop any more you can do everything and anything on an iPad and I love the fact that whatever I do on my iPad gets synced to my iPhone and vice versa .. Before my iPad I was a windows/android/Microsoft user & I WILL NEVER GO BACK! If your thinking about getting one you should trust me it will be the best investment you can make electronically speaking! The IOS software runs like a dream with my ALL my Microsoft products I'm constantly having issues.. Anyways I love to take screen shots when ever I see something that inspires me.. I watch movies all the time as well ... and tv shows on my device also have a bunch of photo editing and camera apps & always read digi mags it's a great device to have

Melissa, can you tell us what apps you mean? I searched scrapbooking but do not see a sketch app. Do you have one to make sketches?

Oh and my ipad is attached to me lol! I watch videos, save layouts and sketches. Save pdf files fom classes.

I do not like the apps for two peas, facebook, or Pinterest I use Safari to go to them.
