Iwas asking hubby for a nice blender for Christmas and see on their site there is a handful of different ones. Which one do you gals have? I don't need the biggest one.

I read where cosco sells them. What model do they have and how much. I don't have a cosco card but my friend does and not sure on their return policy.

Costco return policy is the very best out there, IMO. I have seen people return things YEARS later and they will still do a full refund.
My MIL has the Vitamix and loves it. I have the Breville Hemisphere and prefer mine to the Vitamix.

We have one, but I am not sure of the model. I love it! We use it to make smoothies, soup, powdered sugar (that sounds dumb but it seems like I never have it on hand pre-made when I need it), drinks, crushed ice, and scrambled eggs. It makes the BEST scrambled eggs, much fluffier than any other mehod. It is so easy to clean too. Just a squirt of soap, some water, and back onto the stand and blend for a bit, then rinse.
I would say the key ro getting a lot of use out of it is to have it somewhere accessible. At our old house, it didn't fit under the cabinets (even though we have the model with the shorter pitcher), so we actually moved cabinet shelves around so we could easily store it put together. It has to be easy to pull out because it is quite heavy. Now we have space under the cabinets in a appliance garage.
We have had a few other cheaper blenders and hated them. I never used the blender because it didn't do a great job and there were a bunch of pieces to clean. I love the single piece pitcher of the vitamix. It is what a blender should be.

I tried the blendtec at my sister's house and did not care for it as much as the vitamix. It felt a little less substantial, but what I really didn't like were the buttons for different settings. The blendtec seemed to have more electronics so you put it in and push a button for what you are making. The settings didn't get it quite right to me. Some stuff blended way too long. The vitamix we have has a more mechanical knob and switch and you are in control of the blender the whole time. Just a personal preference difference.

However, Blendtec did just win their lawsuit against Vitamix for copying their design. So, keep that in mind when comparing.
This comment had me wondering what we should all "keep in mind" when buying blenders so I did a quick google search on "blendtec vitamix lawsuit" I found this article, dated 2010.
Ciepiel noted that the legal tug-of-war never involved any of Vitamix's blender motor houses, blade assemblies or other containers, including the blending jars used in all of its smaller household blenders.
"This dispute involves only the XP Container that's used in very limited quantities among a very small percentage of commercial businesses," Ciepiel said.
The company no longer makes or sells the XP Container.
I haven't found anything on a newer or different lawsuit. Is there one concerning non-commercial blenders? Or something that's currently on the market?

We use it for so much- the best being "banana ice cream" aka frozen bananas blended with a tiny bit of water and they become ice cream.
We have never regretted the purchase, even though it was more than we had hoped to spend on a blender you'll love it!

I have the new 6300 model. I got it at Costco for $500.00. Costco has a great return policy. One major reason I purchased my VM at Costco.
Costco sells a smaller VM for around $379, I think.
One of my best purchases is the VM. I use it everyday.
