Flame me for posting this, whatever, but it grates on me when people get too greedy. The rules probably won't matter to some anyway but here it is.

c) Participation/Gift Limit: Limit two (2) plays per day per person/authorized e-mail account holder/Facebook account holder.Limit one (1) Grand Prize Gift (as described in Rule #4) per person/authorized e-mail account holder/Facebook account holder. The use of automated devices to enter this Promotion is prohibited. Anyone found to use multiple accounts to play will be ineligible for this Promotion and will not be eligible for a gift. Codes are void if defaced, mutilated, forged, illegible, reproduced, altered and/or not obtained through authorized channels. The Released Parties assume no responsibility for lost, late, or misdirected entries or any computer, online, telephone, or technical malfunctions that may occur. All entries become jcp's property and will not be returned.

People aren't playing, though--not the peas I don't think, they're just collecting the pieces, aren't they? IDK though, I've not been following the threads since I can't leave the house to get any.

I guess it depends what you call greedy. I keep shopping at JCP so I keep getting buttons. I admit, I buy items separately to get more buttons. I've redeemed 2 a day since the beginning and have won $85 so far. My bestie is redeeming through multiple accounts because she has always had 2 email accounts. Is that wrong?

What I'm curious about are the ebay sellers selling multiple lots of 50 buttons. One seller had maybe 25 of these auctions up so I'm thinking it's someone who stole one of those big plastic sacks of buttons they keep under the counter. How the heck do you redeem hundreds, if not thousands, of codes without raising suspicion???

So I agree with you, Kaleidoscope, greedy people will always find ways to cheat the system, it just depends where you draw the line of morality...

These are selling on eBay? How much are they selling for?

I don't even know if there'd be enough days left to redeem 2 per day, and then spend them by the end of the promotion.

My dd and I both were redeeming 2 per day each, on our respective email accounts. I think we tried 10 total, out of the 10 we each won a $10 certificate and one of us won a $5 certificate. And then we stopped even redeeming them. I couldn't come up with anything else to buy at JCP to keep going back.

So it was a fun promotion, we got a little bit of fun money, and I've got several cute ones to use on some LO's.

I think lots of people use multiple accounts to redeem their pin codes. Many people find ways to cheat the system and honestly I don't think there's s way to catch those that do

DD and I have been redeeming 2 per day for the last 3 days and we've won $55 so far. We each have one account.

We got our pins BF and the weekend after thanksgiving. We weren't even going to enter the codes but I saw so many people here saying they won we though 'why not?'

I got my pins just to collect and use on my layouts

What about buying stuff and donating it to an angel tree or children's center? With a $5 or $10 certificate you could get a toy, pajamas, gloves/hat/scarf, etc at no cost to you and pass it along to someone less fortunate. That's what I plan to do once DS is stocked up on all the basics. They even had some learning toys on sale for $8 - the teacher in me was chomping at the bit to redeem more buttons!

I only got my first ones yesterday. Haven't had time to go to the mall yet. I think if u set up accounts just to redeem them then it definitely sketchy. I wouldn't do it, but if U already have the accounts then I'm ok with that. I am surprised JCP is still around to be honest. I never shop there, I just occasionally walk through on my way in and out of the mall!

If they enforce it, I think they could unless people use different addresses. I haven't done them - my hubby does and he wants to just do it himself, not me. It's his thing. Anyway, he said you have to put in an address, so he had thought it was 2 per household until I found the rules. When it comes to the big prizes, maybe they'd crack down and run the addresses entered.

My husband and I have gotten about 100.00 with them and bought a ton of stuff for both our works giving trees. He had an 11 year old to shop for and I had a 2 year old and we were able to get a lot of stuff for both, courtesy of jCP!

I got about 21 total. I have gone 3 times to JCP since it started. But every time there is someone at some counter that let's me get more than two. The bulk of them was a lady that scrapbook at the photo area. I got a bunch from her. But I was trying to get the ones I loved for scrapbooking. Once I got those I don't even bother. I get what I get when I purchase something. I have entered maybe 8 because I forget...
I still have got about 25 dollars in coupons out of 8 times submitted. That is crazy to me! But I guess my laziness is bigger than my greed because I have not redeemed 1 single certificate. I feel like I couldn't find anything to buy when I was trying to get something last week. Much less something free . Can you only one 1 certificate with 1 purchase?

I have yet to get any. I didn't know there are actually people winning stuff out there. I just thought they were cute pins people were collecting. Time to stop at JCP!

Nikomoon, you can use only one certificate with each purchase, but we have not had any problem having each item rung up separately, using one certificate per item.

I put in two code each day and my DH puts in two codes each day. I think that is within the rules. We have won $65 in certificates and I have redeemed them. One certificate per transaction. I have young kids, so I mostly have bought clothes for them.

That is exactly my situation...but then again, I simply don't have the time to go to JCP every day

Was ad jcp yesterday for the first time since BF. Didn't even get offered any badges. I just assumed they were out, but now I wonder if the guy just forgot to offer them. He seemed rather new as he seemed awkward processing my purchases.

At my JCP, you definitely have to ask for them. I was surprised that 90% of the people in line ahead of me didn't ask for any and weren't offered any.

When I would ask for buttons, some of the cashiers would seem surprised and then reach down for a few. Out of 5 transactions redeeming certificates, only one cashier chatted with me about how cool it was to get the $10 off and then handed me 4 more buttons and said "well, I guess you don't need the instructions".
