Thought we'd do something a little fun this morning to kick off the weekend. Share your deepest, darkest, dirtiest (or not! LOL) scrapbook confessions. I'll start ...
I have an alphabet sticker obsession. I have no less than 300 (that is three zero zero!) different types of alphabet stickers, chipboard, etc. in my scrapbook stash. And I keep buying them, always in search of the perfect alphabet sticker. You can never have enough, right?
Okay, who's next? |

Good post Lynn. My obsession is machines - I have a Klic n Cut Element,a Cameo,a Slice, a Big Shot, Xyron digital printer (used it twice), I have a sewing machine but also an embroidery machine, all big ticket items - the list goes on. I'd be lovin your alphabets though!!
I am proud that I didn't buy the stamp maker and always wish I had bought the laser cutter!!

I spend more time shopping for scrappy stuff than actually scrapping
I do have a two year old though, so most of the time the choice is sleep or scrap and sleep wins usually. I keep telling myself its ok, that ill get more scrapping done when my baby gets older |

I could do one about my stash or buying habits, but I've done that before.
So today my confession is that I'm much more of a starter than a finisher. I have - let me count - 14 unfinished albums (though a few are ongoing), not counting the ones I WANT to do and haven't started.
In my defense, though, I have finished a whole lot of others. |

Mine is that occasionally my motivation for hosting or attending an event or activity is that it will make a nice scrapbook page. Hey, if it gets me out to see people and try new things that isn't so bad, right?
I also sometimes plan my outfits accordingly. I'll think to myself "Oh, there is a photo of me wearing this same sweater on my 2011 Thanksgiving layout, I'd better wear something different this year."
I know I cannot be the only Pea out there who is guilty of either of these!

I totally plan events with scrapbooking in mind....and it's getting worse.
I confess that I have a shopping problem....I get truly depressed if I don't get a scrappy package everyday...even if its adhesive...I need to get something in my mail box. I need to attend a support group.

SDeven, that link you posted is hilarious. The last one is so me.
I can't get a direct link, but it says "I <3 to scrap and I post my LOs online for others to see, but I don't talk about it to my non-scrapping friends, and I hide it from my co-workers."
LOL. I've always been "in the closet" when it comes to scrapbooking, except to my immediate family and boyfriend. I don't have an "interests" section on my resume because scrapbooking is my main hobby and I don't want to talk about it at job interviews. I'm trying to work on that (I'll still leave it off my resume though).

I can relate to ALL of these confessions! Although I don't have 300 alphabets. Only 100+...
Since 7/14 I have placed 18 orders with 2 peas. 18!!! I have a shopping addiction. I could scrap for a long time and never need paper or embellishments, or stamps, or ink, or mist, or washi, or wood veneers, or stickers, or cricut carts (I have a 100 or so and never use them), or sketch books, or buttons, or brads.... You get the idea! |

I keep an emergency scrapbook tool kit in the trunk of my car.
It's a plastic pencil box filled with my basics along with an old Fiskars gray/orange trimmer. Both are hidden in a box beneath a spare jacket, tennis shoes, and an umbrella. I can't tell you how many times someone mentions "scrapping" and I'm there and ready to go!!! Then I get the strangest reaction, "I can't believe you carry scrapbook stuff in your car!!" |

KBPea: My emergency SB toolkit has saved me many times when I attended a crop and I've forgotten my scrapbook tools! I'm loading up my car with my photos and supplies while I'm mentally checking off things in my head. Pillow-check, snacks-check, coffee-check, chalks-check, cellphone-check, special embellies, paper, a kit in case I run out of things to scrap and I can't forget to bring my checkbook, etc. When I arrive at the crop I remember my toolbag is sitting in the garage and it's too far to go back for it.

I have scrapbook goodies shipped to my office, so my husband doesn't know how often I order, I feel guilty as to how often I'm ordering stuff. If I do order to the house it's usually a big package I can't sneak back in the house. Unless I can break it down and smugle in the scrapbook contraband

When I went to pick up my new Swedish ID card a few months ago, the girl was going to cut up my old one and I asked her if I could have the pieces back so I could scrapbook them.
But it gets better - turns out she's also a scrapbooker and totally understood and said I could have the old card intact for my LO! *LOL* I chuckled all the way home.

Mine isn't really a secret, but it is embarrassing:
I have scrapbook performance anxiety. Sure, the first glance at a new paper pattern is exhilarating. Choosing what to go with that paper is absolutely intoxicating. But I get it all home and strip it all down, and...I just can't finish the act.

After I had my third child, I completely skipped a year of printing photos and scrapbooking without making the realization until months later.
I figured out years later my first ds has no scrapbook pages from age 2-3. Same year I had my dd. Hmmm. I see a pattern here.
I like to scrap by themes as much as possible. I don't like to put a lot of thought into the design of each page.
That being said, I have banned myself from Christmas and Halloween themed papers.

Paper, paper, and more paper. It is truly embarrassing how much paper I have.
As an example, I went through it a few months ago and got rid of....a stack over 4 ft. high. That was the paper I didn't want any more, and just a fraction of what I actually have.
On the flip side, I do actually use it. |

I love to scrapbook but I don't take pictures. I bought a new camera when I got back into scrapbooking and maybe have 10 photos I would scrap. (it's been a year and a half)
Also...Me and my DH are Homebodies(?). We are very rarely around anybody, We spend most of our time @ home on he couch and have maybe three friends between the two of us. I am quickly running out of things to scrap.

I just cant get motivated to jump back in! I think if I had a scrappy friend to scrap with it would help me get stuff done. No one understands my scrapping. And the few people Ive met that scrap on their own are too weird for me (which is realllllly funny because Im weird enough all by myself) I own far too much paper, alpha stickers, glitter, and way too many photos.
I want to scrap soooo bad but then I have time to do it and suddenly the recliner looks *so* inviting. Someone should send me to my studio to punish me. |
