|Posted: 12/17/2012 2:04:34 AM|Has this been posted already? I just heard about it:
It holds up to 30 rolls and is not all that big. It's from summer CHA and is starting to show up in stores. I wonder if Two Peas will carry it?
I just moved all my washi from a jar to the dowel on my big MM shelf. But I'm considering this now, especially for tapes I plan to use often like for PL. Hmmm ...
What do you think?

I just watched a video on that dispenser. It has metal edges for tearing, which is not necessary for washi (but is for gaffer's tape). I think the little wheels actually take up a fair amount of space in the gadget and don't really add anything to your experience, because it is just as easy to pick up the tape and rip off a piece. I don't think it looks that great either, with all the wheels showing.
Good idea but I will pass.

I just saw them in person at a store over the weekend. It did seem pretty large from what I remember, but I didn't inspect it very closely.
It's a neat concept but I prefer the hand torn look to my washi over cutting it off on the tape dispenser. I had a roll in a cute dispenser & I kept taking it out when I wanted to use the tape.

You can fit more than 1 washi to a roller. I have a friend that has 2 tapes to each roller. I did order this as the deal from a different online store. It came with tape also so for me, it was a pretty good deal.
7 years to get here... So now what?

It looks too big for me! I'm already tight on desk space! I can't imagine where I'd put that!

I like the concept of it, but it does look like it would be too bulky. Plus I'm not sure how it would hold up to 30 rolls....if you put 2 on each dispenser, that's only 16 rolls & then maybe 4-5 on the center space. What's the price on it, anyone know?

A vertical or rectangular dispenser that would take up less table space would be more functional, I think. But it IS tempting, as always.

I ordered it. I have space to put it where it isn't on my desk. Hopefully I like it.
|Posted: 12/17/2012 9:56:16 AM|I think it would be cool, if you could stack them; but I don't think you can.
|Posted: 12/17/2012 10:09:04 AM|Journey fan...I sent you Pmail, but it doesn't look like it went through. Let me know if it doesn't show up.
|Posted: 12/17/2012 10:14:48 AM|the fact that you can't stack them is what made them a complete "NO" for me. I have wayyyy too much washi and not enough space to have several of these lined up all over the place!

I saw it over the weekend. It certainly wouldn't hold all the washi I have and I know I don't have as much as some others. I did not buy it.

That's pretty neat, but I love the little wood one that looks like a camera available from anthropologie.
The WRMK one looks like it would be a space waster. Have you seen it in person?
I'm in the process of purging 75% of our household stuff (at least that's my goal) so that one would not be something I would use because it wouldn't be something I would really really love
