I edit and order a big stack of pictures at one time so I don't run out of pictures to scrap for quite a while. The editing part is such a drag. It takes a long time to edit 100 or more pictures, upload, and order them. I'm on my last set of pictures right now so I know that super long editing session is coming up.

What part would you rather skip over?

The gluing-it-all-down part. Takes forever. And I'm fussy. A millimeter to one side or the other makes a big difference to me. I'd like everything to just stick down exactly where I want it, once I finally decide!

the cleaning up part!

I recently completed an album for a friend and did all of the work on my kitchen table. Let's just say that it looks like there was an explosion of scrappy supplies on and around the table.

I have a scrap room, but it's messy right now.

So yeah, I like to start out with a clean work environment and then trash the heck out of it. (and then move on to another clean space so I don't have to tidy up the space I just trashed!)

Great question!
My least favorite part of the whole process? Photographing the layout once it is all finished. Sounds silly, but that is the part I hate the most!

another one for journaling...it is my least favorite. Sometimes, I feel like I am recording the same thoughts on different pages. Every now and then, I'll have a plan, but most of the time I have a bad case of writers block.

Another vote for photo editing and ordering! And I really should say I hate to journal because I often skip it with intentions to do it later. I really hate when I scrap too much of one event and get burned out before Im done. Takes the fun right out.

The cleaning up! I don't have a dedicated space, so it all has to be picked up when I'm done. There will be days I really have the mojo, but I don't scrap because I don't want to clean up afterwards.

Getting my stuff together. That's why I like crops and classes. At crops once I am set up, I can just scrap for a long stretch of time. Classes at my LSS are great because everything is supplied. All I have to bring are basic supplies.

Where I am right now. In stolen moments today, I worked on finishing a layout that's been sitting on my desk for nearly a year. I know *exactly* how I want to finish it. But it will take too long because I messed up the stamping and have to fix it. And again, I know exactly how I want to fix it, but...SIGH. Too long for me to be up (bedrest). Plus I generally lose motivation t that point--where I know what I want to do but it becomes a bit tedious actually DOING it.

Getting everything out and putting it all away. I have nowhere to scrap or store my stuff till I move my girls together. That means all my stuff is stuck in a trunk and some smaller clear boxes. By the time I get everything out I have wasted half of my scrap time. Not to mention the time to put it all way neatly so it's not impossible to find stuff next time. lol I cannot wait till I have a dedicated space to scrap.

Both the editing and ordering (hate it so much I'm WAY behind), and that if I don't scrap daily, my desk gets buried under other stuff that I have to clean up if I want to play.

I can imagine it's not fun because you have this sense that you're done because you finished the layout but really you're still not done.

Yes! I always I could be buying paper and other fun supplies with that money.

Photo processing & printing! Some days I wish I'd never learned Photoshop. It was so much easier to deal with photos before I had it.

I also agree with the spending of scrappy dollars on expensive necessities like ink, photo paper & adhesive. I don't mind buying albums & page projectors, though, because that means I am getting a lot accomplished & will soon be enjoying the finished product!

Ordering and editing the pictures for sure!! I hate it and it is so time consuming. This is the reason why a lot of my layouts don't have pictures on them. I just need to sit down and do it, but it seems almost like an impossible task!!

Definitely the cleaning-up part. Why is it so hard to re-file everything you didn't use? I get really frustrated with myself for being so lazy about it. It really shouldn't be that much of a chore since it's fun to pick out the stuff to begin with, but putting it back is somthing I dread doing. And you can tell it by the looks of my work table; well, you know, if you could see the actual table. Maria

For me it's the getting up and down to get things. My stuff is on shelves right in front of my table, but there's always those things I need that are on the top shelf or just out reach so I have to stand up to get them.

Doesn't matter how much I have in front of me before I start, there arte always things I forget and need to get up for.

This is a fun thread! I don't mind journaling at all. I think I agree with all the Peas who said it is a bummer to have to spend money on boring things like adhesive, albums, and page protectors. My other answer: having to find a spot to store everything!

I love editing photos & printing for hours on end, picking through papers, embellishments & just playing with it all...but cleaning up the mess is awful.

Packing up after a crop. I can have everything packed so nice and neat and when I get done scrapping, I can't seem to fit everything I brought back in my totes!

I also dislike journaling. I get mad at myself for skipping the journaling thinking I will do it later.
