Good morning! Ice and snow have us going in to work today at 10. I have to say this is the first ever 12/26 that I have worked and I am not happy about it. But we HAVE to get Inventory done and with the holidays falling like they do, we have to start today.
I know some of you go through the 31st, so I wanted to put this thread out here for you. To me, the days between Christmas and New Years are good days, but sort of messy good days. Our boys usually are eager to bust out of the "family time" regimen and we won't see them much this week between their jobs and their hanging with friends and reveling in the school break.
And I have a love/hate relationship with the bare tree. I'm not ready to take it down just yet and end all the merriment, but at the same time, let's face it, a tree bare after Christmas is definitely lackluster.  So, I always cut off my DD at 12/25. This year marks my 4th year of documenting December daily. I do love it.
They said on the news this morning that this was only the 4th Christmas ever in Dallas with snow on the ground, and it's our 2nd one, but it was my FIRST to ever see it falling during the day. The last time we woke up to a smattering of snow on the ground. To see it snowing for the four hours, big puffy swirly flakes, really was a delight to behold.
As you wrap up the season, I hope you, too, have some one of a kind cherished moments to reflect back on. And I hope you have a wonderful week savoring the last days of the season.

Penny, thanks for the thread. My potd will be of my kids lying around doing nothing. They both finally got up and went out after dinner. My pictures this week will include a few decorations, etc. before I take them down and then a picture at new years eve party. I enjoyed this project as well. |

Whew! I can finally relax! Christmas is over! and I have some serious catching up to do! Ill be DD-ing everyday this week I'm shooting for being done before the new year bc I'm starting Project Life!  I have two weeks to catch up on!  so let the DD marathon begin!

DD P'sOTD were of the road as we took a little trip together. Ran into snow and tons of rain so I will probably use my gray snowflake paper that I've had for years. Hoarding does have its advantages! Got lots of interesting road photos and took a bunch of the lights that total strangers put out in their yards. Neat perspective for my page - the welcoming stranger!

I have to confess I have not picked up the camera since setting it down late Christmas day. I guess that is another reason I stop at 12/25! |

I think I will take mine through the end of the year as we had our last family christas today. I have missed 4-5 days through out the month though, and I am ok with that. This was my first year doing this and seeing it is just hubby, me and the dog, I think I did pretty good. | |
