It works out to .27 a print at the 29.44 price.
I paid .29 at rite aid for 19 photos ( that's all I needed ) last time
I printed from them
And I had to drive there and wait an hour for pick up.
I print often and rarely order 50 at a time.
So don't think it's expensive but it certainly isn't a Snapfish deal that
I hear of now and then.
For me, the pros outweigh the cons.
I guess only you can decide what is a better deal for you.
Good luck with your decision.

So are there issues hooking this up to computers that have Windows 8? I was wanting to get this printer, but my computer is Windows 8.
Yep...I had no problems running this with my netbook which has Win 7 (starter edition). I can't even get my 2 week old laptop to recognize it with Win 8. I can still print wirelessly from my phone or transferring files to a thumb drive. |

I've been seeing so many pposts about this printer and I'm thinking of getting one. I'm a newbie, so I wanted to ask about the price comparison to printing pics at home with the selphy900 vs. using say, Persnickety (which everyone raves about too). |

We were able to get 3 sets of ink (price-matched at Walmart) with the MasterCard deal ($50 off of $100) which made this $69.00 Selphy a great deal!

They are about $0.29 per print. I like the convenience of printing at home. I will print at say Persnickity Prints if I have a ton of pics to print.

I ordered mine from amazon and I received one that was returned. When I opened the box the previous owner had left all their packing slips and receipts in the box. So I called and they sent me a new one. It'll be here today but I had ordered extra paper and ink and its here starring at me taunting me. |

I finally had a chance to really do some printing today on my new Selphy. I am thrilled at the quality for a home photo printer. I have never liked the prints from regular desktop printers, but this is really quite good.
I am now trying to figure out how to resize photos (I am on MAC with iPhoto) and to print two per 4x6 sheet. So far the best I have managed is printing one with setting of paper size 4x6, print size 2x3 (I think, from memory here...) Print photo one, then reload the photo into the cartridge again running the other direction and go to next photo doing the same. Not quite the sizes I am aiming for, but the closest I can get.
Any suggestions?
I cannot get the iPhone or iPad to talk directly to the Selphy. I am able to print from computer to the Selphy using my wireless network, though.

For those who missed it, The Selphy is on sale
Again at Best Buy for 79.99.
I just followed manual to set up to wifi. If that didn't work
For you , I'd call Canon support.
Sorry you are having troubles.

@rlturner: I don't have a Mac for photo editing but I just wanted to add that I think the manual says don't put a printed paper back through the printer. At best, your going to end up with extra paper and no ink, at worst it could screw up your machine.
I'd try to YouTube a tutorial on making smaller prints fit in a 4x6 canvas.

I finally got the time to read the manual and set up my Selphy. A-MAZING! This is the photo printer I've been waiting for!
I connected the Selphy to the wifi and printed from my iPhone. It was super easy and the quality is awesome!
Thank you, peas, for enabling! I'm going to scrap tonight!

Still loving mine! It prints from the iphone with no problems.
I can't get it to print wirelessly from my laptop running Vista. I've done some digging and I've seen a review somewhere that says Vista isn't supported. Can anyone else with Vista confirm that wireless printing is not supported?
It prints just fine wired to the laptop though. Totally worth every penny. I've scrapbooked more in the 2 weeks I've had it than I did in the 4 months before.

Molitva, I did read that they didn't recommend rerunning the paper through a second time, however I gave it a shot and had no problems. Not something I'd like to do as regular course of business, so I am off to investigate how to set up a photo to print with two smaller shots on the one 'canvas'. (And what program I will need, if necessary!)
I love the convenience and quality of this lil printer. I did a bunch of LOs this weekend that i wouldn't have done had I not had this Selphy!

@rlturner. Phew! Glad it didn't cause any problems. No idea how to do it in iphoto but a program called photosheet allows you to put multiple pictures on one 4x6.

Do you have wifi turned on (see the settings) on your iphone? I was having some problems printing from my iphone and the wifi was turned off on my iphone. |
