I know this has been asked....what do the Peas use to store photos online..I have them backed up on Time Machine (have a Mac) but they are not easy to access if the whole computer crashes sure but getting them if just something happened to iPhoto is another story. Besides the external harddrive is here at home I want something off site that would be easy to use and access.....Thanks in Advance!

I use You can organize your photos into album, categories... Make them private or public and share. You can even give people a special link and let them upload picts into a specific album (thinking about an event with lots of people taking picts). So far, i love it. Been with them for over 2 years oh, and there's an app for iPad and iPhone too.

I have used Webshots since 2003. As of December 1, 2012 they decided to go in another direction and deleted their current web-site including all of my 5,800 photos along with it. Fortunately, I had most of my pictures burned to CD's so I have started re-adding them to Shutterfly. It is a very slow and time consuming process. I actually, like the Shutterfly site better. It's more user friendly with uploading, organizing, titling and accessing than Webshots. Plus it's a free service for unlimited storage. Many other sites are not and they state they will never delete your photos. I have all of my vacation photos arranged in seperate albums by date. They provided me with a web-site link I can post for sharing. The link is in my signature if your interested.

I have since decided I wasn't going to just depend on computers or web-sites with my precious photos and have started to just print everything for future reference. I have found that nothing is better than a photo in hand. I have signed up with Walgreens and they send promos by e-mail every so often for discounts. I just printed over 200 vacation photos from our latest trip and it was only $25.00.

I back up my photos online two ways... and I'm okay with the overkill just in case. I use Backblaze to back up all my computer files (including my photo library) then also upload to Flickr as a library. Admittedly, Flickr is a photo sharing site, but you can set the privacy levels for all your photos, so I just set most of my pictures to private so I can access them if I ever need to but I'm not displaying every photo to the whole wide world... if that makes sense?

The free account on Flickr is limited but the pro account lets you upload as much as you want and stores the full size files. They are running a 3 month free holiday special at the moment here, which you can use as a trial or to extend your account if you already paid for one. I think it's really reasonable at $25 a year. And it's awesome to know that if you let your account lapse, the files don't disappear - once you pay, you can access them all again. Once I forgot to renew by about a week, so I've tested that one and it was true - once I renewed, everything reappeared on my account.

I upload from iPhoto in the background while I'm working on other things. I think there are Flickr upload settings like that for some other photo library options too if you're using other software.
