The shipping is $7.95 on $18 worth or items. I am so bummed. Guess I wont be getting that kit now I know if i sub to the main it ships with that - but still. I already get 1 kit - I am not doing $100/month in kits.

I thought I saw that shipping was included in the $18?

I am thrilled they ship to canada . I also want to take advantage of their main kit to combine shipping, great deal if you are able to do that .

I feel like the info posted about the kit was, unfortunately, misleading. To me it definitely sounded like the $18 would include shipping. I still went through with my order and am thinking, based on their December PL kit photos, that it will still be a very good value for all the product.

It is 18.00 if you subscribe to the main kit and shipping is free, because it ships with your main kit.
If you do not subscribe to the main kit it is 18.00 plus shipping.
I didn't think it was misleading at all....

I think the amount of merchandise you get for the price is way worth it. I sub to the SC project life kit which I love, but seriously, the citrus twist kit is packed with goodies and the SC kit seems thin in comparison.

Orient think it was misleading - but for $26 a month I can surely get a couple sticker sheets, couple 12x12 papers, washi tape, alphabet set, as well as a 6x6 pad and still have $ left over I don't think I'll be subbing.

I think the kit is very cute, but I thought from reading the website that shipping was included. However, that could be me misreading. I think $7.95 is kind of high for shipping, but on the other hand, we are always hearing about how the post office is about to go broke so maybe it just costs that much to ship it.
Yes, I could buy those type of pieces separately for less probably, but they are all coordinated and I don't have to do any work!

Love the video!! Thanks for posting the link.
I think $25 total for all of that product is totally worth it. I'm on the fence about subscribing because I'm not sure if I want to do PL at all, but the shipping costs wouldn't stop me. I end up spending that much after a week of Sbux.

I am trying to keep my PL simple this year but this kit is tempting even with shipping. There is so much stuff in there! Honestly I would probably do their main kit as well to have more product and spread the shipping out. It is cute and looks like a great deal too.
Maybe in six months when I am bored of Seafoam. Well, assuming it is actually available by then.

I'm sorry you're disappointed.
Watching the video, and looking at the January kit...off the bat, I see a full Dear Lizzy pad ($5.99), Thickers ($4.99), a Pebbles pad ($4.99) and a sheet of EP paper (.89)...that's $16.86 in product, meaning that you get cardstock, cards, ribbon and an exclusive stamp set for $1.14. Seems like a good deal to me, even with the shipping.
I think we're going to see a rise in shipping prices and higher thresholds for free shipping. Businesses can't afford to give away product just to eat shipping.
ETA: Looking at the site, I can see why there is confusion. There are two things to click on:
$18/3 month subscription shipping included
$18/3 month subscription no shipping for main kit subscribers
The first one should probably say plus shipping, rather than shipping included.

The kit is jam packed and looks amazing, for me international i can not afford it ($18?) but if i were getting the main too that is an awesome price, and i would be getting it for sure as 18 Internatial is really good.
Also she includes exclusive cards etc

Brooklyns mama I have gotten them all and they are all worth it. You get an alphabet, a 6x6 pad, 10 or so PL cards, stamps, ribbons(twine) a sheet or 2 of paper. Usually 1 of the papers has 12 3x4 cards on it to use for PL. Also I think they have all come with a roll of washi tape...
They also coordinate with the main kit. I used some of the 6x6 papers on my 12 x 12 pages...
I signed up for the SC one....I have a funny feeling I am going to compare to CT and be very disappointed.

I received the December PL kit & I was thrilled. It started with the packaging. It reminded me of the song "My Favorite Things" A brown paper package tied up with red and white twine (that I untied and will reuse of course!). It also included an extra stamp set as a welcome gift.
I am a new PL participant and very excited. I ordered the BH cobalt kit and looked into kits mentioned here as I was looking for something I could subscribe to & add to my layouts. I'm so happy with my decision to go with Citrus Twist. Since I've been organizing all my PL stuff I had everything out on my table and decided to add up the contents based on the discussions on this thread. I'm an accounting person so I was anxious to see if I was getting a good deal. After my little exercise, I feel that I truly am! Here are my unscientific findings
BG Aspen Frost 6x6 pad $6
OA Make It Merry Tidbits $2.99
OA Alphabet Stickers $2.40
Studio Calico pkg of 12 journaling cards $2.99
Washi Tape ~$4
Snap! 12x12 journaling cards $ .99
2 pieces 12x12 card stock ~$1.00
Stamp Set $2 ? Plus an add'l bonus set $2
Webster's Stories Royal Christmas Sentiments $1.25
Crate Paper Sleigh Ride Tape Stickers $1.99
Whisker'sGraphics Red/White chevron bag $ .25
Jenni Bowlin red rhinestone stars (6) ~$1.00
Plus:
Red/Green bakers twine
Red/White bakers twine from package
tag
metal snowflake embellishment
8 3x4 journal cards
3 4x6 journal cards ~$2.00 for all those things?
I get $28.86 before shipping so needless to say, I can't wait to see what is coming in January!!!
Here is a pic I snapped when I got the package because I thought it was so cute:

I went by the prices of the 3 big items and the piece of paper that I could see in the 2peas store. I get that value/worth is personal. For a long time I said I wouldn't sub to a kit because I could put together something on my own. I gave it a try and so far am enjoying it. I agree you could totally come up with an awesome kit from your stash for less. But in terms of value, I think the CT kits are worth it.

Hi 2Ps, The Citrus Twist PL kits are packed (and each one has totaled around $20 retail) Just so you all know, we lose money on shipping. We decided to take this loss to keep shipping prices fair. These kits weigh in just a few ounces below what our main kits weigh and over the USPS cut off for less expensive shipping.
We will adjust wording on our website so it's easier to understand.
Happy New Year, Trina | |

I am keeping PL simple. I have stamps and printables already. I love Seafoam and do not need a kit. *sigh* I am keeping PL simple...
If I say it enough times do you think I will stop wanting this kit? Even with shipping (since I would pay to ship whatever I picked up piece by piece too) it is a great deal IMO and so cute. That packaging pic is killin me. I need to stop looking at the CT site!
