Thank you for the well wishes. I am mostly better but still can't shake the cough. I am going to try and post something on Monday. I can take Monday, 1/28 but I am going to go ahead and post it now.
February is just around the corner and the Happiness Project focuses on Remembering Love.
This is an excerpt from Women's Day that was really interesting.
This Month's Challenge: Remember Love
Although we think that we act because of the way we feel, we often feel because of the way we act. So I remind myself to act the way I want to feel, a strategy that's uncannily effective. When I feel annoyed, I act thoughtful. When I feel resentful, I act lighthearted. It's harder than it sounds, but it works.
I think I am going to have to give this a try! Has anyone tried it?
Prompt for 1/28 - Create a page that highlights the people/things/animals that you love. Bonus- Write a love note to someone you care about.

Oh, this is a wonderful prompt! Mostly, because I wanted to do a layout of things I love and was already thinking about some stuff! Yay!

Alright my fellow Project Scrapiness-ers, I FINALLY uploaded some of my pictures of my album! Now, I almost have everything I wanted to include for the January prompts. What I plan to add is a layout with my 2012 accomplishments (my OLW) and an energy layout. My title page was scraplifted from katybee. My first page of my album was also inspired by her's as well.
I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone else has been doing!

Omg you guys, I am so sorry that I haven't posted this week's prompt. I just got busy with life, and it totally slipped my mind. I feel so bad.
Hopefully, this prompt makes up for my flakiness, though... So now that we're all a month into our OLW/Project Happiness/resolutions/etc., this week's prompt is to write a letter to yourself. The letter will serve more as a progress report: explain the efforts you have made to progress through your word/resolution/etc., what you expected to learn, what you have actually learned, and any insight or clarity this project has brought you this far. My hope with this prompt is to help everyone stay motivated by reflecting upon the progress we've made so far. Sorry again for being late on this one |

I like this prompt! It's keeping us accountable! I'm such a nerdy, teacher's pet student at heart, that the idea of a "progress report" made me all giddy! I still haven't done last week's prompt, but I already know how it will look (in my head, which will probably change!), but that's something I plan to work on tomorrow and Friday.

Great prompt! One of my goals for this year was to get back to keeping a journal (and tracking things that bring me joy big and small). I have been so busy at work that I have not kept up with it. Hopefully, this will get me back on track.
I think I need some more accountability. Would you all be up for doing something daily even if it is just one thing that made you smile or that you are grateful for? Also, would anyone be open to a facebook group? I sometimes don't get a chance to get on my computer which makes it hard to post here but can easily access facebook from my phone. Might be easier to share pictures and stuff too. |

No facebook for me, but I'd be happy to post here everyday about Project Scrapiness to keep me, well, all of us, accountable.
My OLW this year is 'renew' ... it's a word that came to me, as I browsed my past few years OLW.
I'm participating in LOAD213, which is a layout a day, for those who do not know. I've kept up with doing a layout each day, with the exception of yesterday, because both my boys came down with the 'crud' at the same time. My oldest went to school today, as he doesn't have a fever, and is willing to take meds, so he's not coughing or feeling icky. My youngest is home with me, because his school is closed due to the high winds, and icy roads by his school.
mizzbzb: I take it you don't have an iPhone. Because the 2Peas app is my favorite. I'm here all the time!
So, today I'm investing my time to do my layout from yesterday, and work on the topic of today, as well.
What 'scrapiness' are you working on for today? or the week?
I'll try to post here later with my LO...hopefully, I'll have more than one. |

~Lisa

I will be posting a weekly prompt tonight when I get home from work! So don't worry, I didn't forget!
Also, I would be okay with a Facebook group. I will add more thoughts on this tonight as well!

Good Morning friends!
Sorry I didn't post this week's prompt last night; I was trying to get on the website from my laptop, but I kept getting this weird error...
Okay, to continue with this love theme as well as with the prompt mizzbzb posted two weeks ago, I want you guys to find a quote that YOU love and makes you love who YOU ARE. Make this quote the center of your layout and then embellish your page! This can relate to your OLW or it can just be a quote that sparks that feeling of love we have for ourselves (because that's important also). This can also serve as a mood picker-upper if you will! If you're feeling sad or angry or frustrated or just not good enough, look at this page. Hopefully, this can provide motivation to act how you want to feel.
I came up with this idea by looking at art journal pages. I'm not an art journal-er, but I would love to be! But I also know myself well enough that I'm just not an artist! So, you can make this your own version of art journaling!
I also have a challenge: use paint in some way on your page! Again, I have never done this, so I think I'll be having fun!
Update on my Project Scrapiness Album: finished my energy layout, finished my "What I Love" layout (week of 1/28 prompt)--will be posting photos of these soon. Need to write my "progress report" and complete this prompt.

I just saw the name and picture in someone's signature and thought that is something I need to check out and something I am sure I would like to be a part of.
I'm late to this particular party - but here is my spin on it. In January, I made my own smash book (have to use that stash. Then I made up my goals - relating to personal, home, mothering, friends, financial and work. They had to be SMART. There is also a place for what I call - the facebook status journal. Each day I write something similar to what I would put as a FB status. Sometimes it is my actual status sometimes its too private. I have pockets and bags and places to stuff smash stuff in there.
My OWL so far is revival - I have not done much with that yet. But it will come. I would like to upload some photos BUT I am very noobie here so I don't know how to do that yet. Nor can I figure out how to bookmark.

How is everyone doing with this? I am still trying something new every week and focusing on quotes for my one little word. I have a new LO in mind but am trying to get a decent picture. |

Dalia, I'll quote MizzB2b:
1. Choosing our olw
2. Resolutions or a manifesto for 2013 with our olw in mind
3. List of ways that you boost energy and maybe things that sucked your energy that you want to leave behind in 2012.
4. Create something to remind yourself of your olw
_______________________________________________
1. I chose my one little word. (RELEASE)
2. I chose several quotes to remind me of my one little word. (I got some from Pinterest but also receive a daily email from Joel Osteen.)
3. I realized that there were people that sucked out my energy. Some I quietly moved away from. I found that my reaction to negative people has become better as there are some you can't get away from. My response in being more patient is a way of releasing the negative.
4. I created a LO to remind me of my OLW and tried some exercises as well.

I have definitely fallen behind with this particular project. Maybe we need more defined themes/prompts? I want to get back to working on it, but I'm stuck as to what to do next. I'm thinking I need to read the Happiness Project to gain some perspective...

I have two OLW layouts planned. One of them is releasing old negative thought about myself. The other is about releasing stereotypes about what people think I should be. I have a 3 hour crop next weekend and a6 hour crop on the 20th. Then of course, there's National Scrapbook Day on May 4th. I will definitely be able to catch up soon! |
