The gallery won't let me look at anything! So, I can't leave some love on your pages Debi. I am sorry things are not going well with your RA and your quest for the correct meds. My B12 levels were very low last year and I took the pils. It was slow, but it helped with my energy level.

Wonder if this post will kick us over to the fourth page??

Been there, done that--have the layout!

Happy Tuesday! We are at 4 pages!!!! Go Peas Go! I hope you enjoyed your MLK/Inaguration Day. I missed the ceremonies but saw some of the other events. But I really wanted to see Michelle's evening gown. Beautiful red gown and she looked so fab as usual.

Guess what? My mil gave me a sewing machine!!!! I was so excited to get it yesterday and look forward to playing around with it. Here I go into another craft!

I am still working on a layout and it totally feels like a hard puzzle. Not sure about the pieces and where to put them. So still working on it. Also, got some cards in mind and hope to work on those today.

Debi- You have been in scrapbook heaven, too. Great job on those challenges. I gotta go check out your latest.

Jana- Glad you had a great time. I have never gone to a crop but maybe it is in my future. Thanks for the anniversary well wishes. It is next Monday and I am getting excited about it.

Amy- You have been busy too. We are some active pokey peas this month.

Waving hi to you all. Have a great day girls!

Jana-what did CS say anbout your Cameo?????

Not much else going on so here's the link to my page-

I finally finished this two page layout. I can't believe it took so long. I was trying too hard. I took out at least have of the papers and elements that I had and liked it a lot more. I'm a super simple scrapper, what can I say? If I would just accept that from the beginning I'd get so many more pages done.

I hate to run...but here I go. I hope you are all doing well.

Jessie, I think the site has been having some problems. Let us know if we can help. You can practice posting on this thread. We have some smart women here to help.

Jana, I'm so glad you had fun at your crop. Finishing a whole mini sounds like a lot to me. Wish I could go to Scrap-a-palooza with you. Hope you get time to make up some page kits before you go. How's the flu situation at your hospital?

Debi, any news on getting your medications? I hope it has warmed up a bit there. We had a balmy 24 degrees yesterday! That's the high, of course. I hate to even leave the house. Stay tucked in safe and warm. Hope you can get relief soon.

Amy, don't worry about posting too many layouts. We love to see your work. I love to see those photogenic children of yours.

Kelly, I expect to see more great things with that new sewing machine. Have you done any sewing before? I know you will have fun. You will fit right into our family!

Cindy and Debi, you are really cranking out the pages, and beautiful pages at that. Love all your digi tricks and techniques.
Cindy, have you recovered from the grands sleeping over? Looks like you kept them entertained royally.

Angie, I love those Nativity photos. Especially the one with Drew holding the costume across his eyes. What a funny little boy. Thanks for letting us celebrate his B-day with you through FaceTime. Be sure to do a page of his cake so everyone can see how cute it was.

Val, where are you? Can't imagine you have a lot to do????? Are you settled yet?

I need to run. I have to dig out of this room somewhat.

Kelly, have fun with your new sewing machine! I got one for Christmas about 3 years ago and I have yet to really learn too much. I even have a sewing table that I found at a flea market for a nice price. I am hoping to get this set up in my extra bedroom someday.

Cindy, they are replacing my Cameo at no charge! I have sent mine back and when they receive it, they will send me a new one. They should receive it tomorrow and I hope it doesn't take them long to process!

Nylene, We have had a few flu patients on my floor. I wonder if other units in the hospital have been getting a few also. I return to work tomorrow so I will see how it is then. I am ready for Spring!!

I got to see my parents house today that they have been building. My Mom decided to leave with me since she was thirsty. She had forgotten to bring a drink. When I was backing out of the driveway, I ran into something! I thought it was the mailbox and my Mom and I just starting laughing. It ended up being a wooden stake in the ground. Phew!! One of the workers saw this and was laughing. The driveway has a curve and it isn't that easy to back out of.

We got to their rental and she had forgotten the key! We ended up stopping at McDonald's for a drink and had some ice cream. Then we got back to the building site and got the key and I dropped her off at their house. We had a funny adventure this afternoon!

I hope everyone is doing good!

Jana, backing over a stake is something I'd do. I don't do well backing up, especially on a curved driveway. Glad you didn't hurt anything.

I have a couple of pages finished. They didn't scan very well because of thick embellishments, but I have a hard time posting from a photo.

Baby Faces

Happy Together

How strange that the Pokey Peas have managed to post four pages of scrapping and chatting this month and we still have more than a week left. You guys are great!! Cindy, you must be dancing in the light of the moon!

For all this week, we have had the worst air quality in the nation...well, actually we have tied with 2 other Utah cities. With so much snow still on the ground and an inversion, the air is terrible. We are hoping for a storm to blow it out this weekend. Hopefully it will warm things up too. Hope the rest of you are breathing well and keeping warm.

We finished celebrating my daughter's 13th birthday tonight, my parents have gone home, the kids and hubby are all sleeping and the house is nice and quiet.

I have a page I think I forgot to post from a few days ago. I think this is my fourth page, at least, for the month.

Hope you all are having a nice day. Mine is moving a little slow but got some things to do. I got a idea yesterday for some cards and I am off and running with it. Not just gotta get a few supplies and I can get them done.

Thanks for all the sewing machine cheers. I look forward to giving it a go. My place is turning into a craft store! I need a craftroom so bad. My living room is over flowing with artsy craftsy stuff. ALso, did I tell you my mil also gave me 2 great scrapbook albums? Oh, I needed those to put my new layouts in there. She is so generous and I am very grateful for her.

Barb- Good to see you playing with us. Off to check out your layout.

Nylene- See I knew I would fit into your family. I don't know where to start but I am going to have fun in whatever I do. Any ideas?

Jana- LOL! Maybe this year you will get your sewing machine out and give it a whirl!

Angie- Glad you got that lo done. Mine is still on the table and still waiting for more inspiration to hit me. I wanted to do one of one of our wedding pics. Not sure if i have the right paper and embellies. Something is missing. Hummmmm

Wow, I just found about 20 layouts by our Pokey Peas group that I had missed! Great work! I'm sorry I missed them when you all posted them days ago!

My organization mode has slowed down and I started baking bread again. I tried my friend's recipe and it works great. Even my extremely picky 5 year old eats it! How is it I find time for my hobbies and no time to clean the bathroom? Hm.

Have a great day!

You two are cracking me up!!! Angie the reason is that hobbies are more fun! Work is work , but not much fun! And the "dirt" will still be here when we are gone!

Nylene I wish I did live next door to you! We would never get cleaning done but we would have a LOT of FUN!!!!!

Hi to everyone! Jana I am glad you are getting a new Cameo. Kelly you just keep having fun and fill that room to the brim with crafty stuff! I have to say you MIL is truely a generous lady. My MIL was like that & I miss here dearly!

Have fun all!

Cindy, Nylene: I cleaned the bathroom. Are you proud of me? Don't ask me about dinner though. I have a feeling that's not going to happen tonight. Too bad I don't have some awesome scrapping done to balance my lack of household duties. Maybe tomorrow.

Kelly, I'm so excited about your sewing machine! I know you'll come up with something great. Let the scrapbook pages sit. Inspiration will come in time.

Hello Ladies, You've been busy. I've been a scrappin' fool. I got into a monumental project. Sept. (2 years ago) my late hubby & I took a 15 day vacation. In the middle of this trip was Scrapfest, where I met Nylene, Cindy and Val. (We were all members of the Calendar Girls at the time). I don't want to make a flood, so I'll only be posting 2/3 every couple of days.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Good Morning girls! I am sitting here chuickling which is a good thing for a gray Friday morning when we are waiting for a snowstorm.

Angie-I am glad you got the bathroom cleaned, but it would have been more fun if you had scrapped another page! You are doing a great job juggling all of it I am sure. You have those two sweethearts keeping you busy all of the time!

Linda-We really had a good time at Scrapfest didn't we! I loved meeting everyone! We ate and laughed together and just had a really goodtime! I was so tired from walking tha MOA that by Sunday I could not go anymore! To those of you not there we were like young girls at a slumber party going from room to room chatting and watching each other do different crafts!

Cindy - Yes, we sure did have a great time at Scrapfest. My favorite part other than meeting the girls was meeting Kelly Goree (my favorite scrap star) and getting to take photos with Tim Holtz. It was a weekend of fun. I'm with you on the walking though. It took me a month to recoup from the entire trip.

It is a gloomy day today but glad it is Friday. We start celebrating our 7th wedding anniversary this weekend. It is actually on Monday but we will be reminiscing that magical day. It's gonna be a raining weekend but we hope to get out for dinner at the place we had our reception. I just love the sunsets there but if it is raining, I may wait till another time.

In celebration, I am working on a card for my dh and I wanted to so a lo but I am still letting the ideas marinate. So I will be surpised to see how it comes out too. Fingers crossed!

Angie/Nylene- I knew I was a family member! I do put hobbies and my crafts before house work often!!! If fact there a couple of bags of clothes that need to be folded and I would rather work on fun stuff before I do that. So see we are family! But we do a great job doing just enough to keep the house clean and orderly so our families won't fuss. I think this is a talent, too.

Cindy- Yeah, your mil sounds like she was a special lady too. Mine is too.

Linda- Glad to see you have been scrapping up a storm. Keep it going!

PRAISEMARK for pokey peas you guys sure are producing lots of LOs.

Good news, I'll get meds starting Wednesday. Now to get through the weekend. Somehow I need to go birthday shopping for my boys-14th bday on Tuesday.

Not doing any scrapping since the onslaw of CHA but maybe I'll try to do a couple pages this weekend.

Nylene I wish I did live next door to you! We would never get cleaning done but we would have a LOT of FUN!!!!!
Cindy, this made me laugh. Yes, we'd have a great time together. We'd have to hire people to clean for us so we could devote ALL our time to scrapping.

Linda, I am loving your album. Keep posting! I have never scrapped Scrapfest. I tend to avoid scrapping about me and concentrate on other family members. Guess that's not a very good way to do it. I love the paper lines you are using.

Kelly, sounds like your MIL thinks her son did very well for himself. It's so nice when you have a great MIL relationship. Let us know what you do next. Angie has a great pattern for cute pillowcases that aren't hard sewing.

Debi, I'm so glad you are going to get the meds you need. Hang in there. Happy Birthday to your boys. Doesn't seem like they could be 14! Hope you can do the shopping for them, or delay them until you are feeling better.

Angie, I'm sorry my "love of cleaning" skills rubbed off on you. Sounds like we aren't the only ones on this thread to have that tendency! Maybe Sam will put us both to shame when she grows up.

Barb, Happy Birthday to your 13 year old. Is she your oldest? A real teenager now!

My DH and I took the train to SLC to see George Strait and Martina McBride in concert last night. We have NEVER done anything like this before. (Angie can attest to this!) We are pretty boring, homebodies! It was to celebrate our 45th Anniversary. It was so much fun, but was louder than we expected. We loved George and enjoyed Martina.

Have a great weekend, everyone.

Jen, we must have been posting together! If you get the ice storm, don't leave the house! We had one last week and had 176 accidents locally. Please be careful.
I'm off to see the layouts you posted. Glad to see you scrapping.

Kelly, forgot to tell you Happy Anniversary!

Girls, we may just make the fifth page! Somebody will have to bring out the smelling salts for Cindy!

Nylene-Happy Anniversary! It sounds like you had a great time. George just sits on his stools and sings, but it's wonderful isn't it? My dh and I saw him 17 years ago before we were even married!

Kelly-Happy Anniversary to you, too!

Val-Are you lost in a mountain of moving boxes? Would love to hear from you when you can!

Jen-I admire you for sticking with one trip and finishing an album. It seems none of my albums are ever finished because I flit around and scrap whatever I am in the mood for!
Debbie-So glad you are getting your meds! Hope they help!

Hello to everyone I missed! We are so chatty now-a-days that I can't remember everything I have read once I start posting. I'm gonna share a couple I've done in the past week.

These pics are very old, but as I went through them they just struck me as so funny and I had to get 'em scrapped.
Peas?

A little summer fun! Maybe looking at these will help warm you up, Pam!

Survived the weekend...barely. Counting the hours til my meds come in on Wednesday. Boy, do I ever sound like a drug addict...LOL Went to my mom's yesterday so she could help me grocery shop (I can't lift anything) and spent the night and let her take care of me for awhile. Managed to get about 4 hours of sleep in the reclining chair. Home now, as are the boys. Hoping to be able to get some sleep tonight but lately being in any position more than an hour doesn't seem to work. Got my heating throw under me and hoping for the best.

Did nothing scrappy. Getting through the days right now takes most of my focus. Watched some old MONK shows and a couple HALLMARK movies at mom's. No tv at home.

Tomorrow is another day .... one day closer to Wednesday.

Tuesday is my twins' 14th birthday but they will spend the evening at their dad's. They are having a couple kids over Thursday night for an all night gaming night and doing a repeat performance with a couple other kids on Saturday to celebrate their birthday. I just have to stay out of the way and provide snacks, dinner and breakfast.

Catch you tomorrow.

Thanks everyone for the anniversary well wishes! Today is officially our 7th anniversary. This has been one of the best celebration weekends we have had. Yesterday, my dh arranged for us to have dinner at the place where we had our reception. So we had the beautiful banquet room all to yourself. Plus it was a simply beautiful evening with lots of sun and no rain. So I got to have my sunset. They set up a table right in front of the window so we had a great view of the bay. We even had the same dinner from our wedding. Boy, it was soooo good. We had such a great time and even danced on the dance floor. I did take lots of pictures and hope to post some soon. May even make a few scrapbook pages since I still got the fever!

So tonight we will probably watch our wedding dvd and enjoy our album. I did make a special card for him and can't wait for him to see it. Plus that lo I was feeling stuck with finally came out so nice. I watched the "seeing double" video here and got some inspiration. Thanks 2Peas!!!

Oh, I went to Hobby Lobby finally and only made it though half the store!!! Wow, so huge. So I gotta go back and see more.

Angie- You were right! The inspiration came and the lo got done.

Nylene- Happy 45th Anniversary to you too. Wow! You all did have a great time, too. That concert sounds like it was fun! Congrats!

Debi- Hang in there Wed is almost here!

Pam- Hey Pammmmm! Great to see you!

Linda, Jen & Amy- You girls are really scrapping up a storm. It's it so fun? I am enjoying it too.

Slept a bit more last night but rather useless this morning. Just laying on the couch upstairs (dreading trying to make it downstairs) covered in my heated blanket staying warm. Hard to waste so much time but what's a girl to do?

Great pages LINDA. That trip album is going to be awesome.

Hope we make it to 5 pages.

At the rate we are going, we'll easily make it to 5 pages. How exciting!

Pam!! so nice to see you stopping by. How was your trip? I'm sorry that Sylvester is MIA. He'll turn up one of these days. What are your plans for the rest of the winter? Any fun crafty projects on the horizon?

Debi, tomorrow is Wed. I'm praying that the meds will come and will begin to work quickly. Happy B-Day to your boys tomorrow.

Linda, I'm really enjoying your album pages. I'm so glad you two got that trip together, and that we all got to meet you both in Minnesota. That was a lo-o-o-ong trip for you two. You deserved to be worn out at the end!

Kelly, your anniversary date sounds wonderful. Congrats on 7 years together. Seems like the longer you are married, the faster the years fly by. (or maybe that's just old age!!) We have a Hobby Lobby here now and I get so tired shopping there. It's so huge!

Amy, I just found some of your layouts that I had somehow missed. So cute! I'm like you with sticking to one album. I scrap whatever suits my fancy that day. Not the best way to scrap, but that's what seems to make me happy. I have really enjoyed looking at all your pages. You have such a neat style and have such great titles! (and fonts!)

Jen, I agree with Amy that you need to be congratulated on sticking to the SF album and finishing it. I'm too flitty to finish albums. Love seeing your photos as they remind me of our trips to SF.

Cindy, do we need to order tranquilizers for you if we make it to 5 pages this month? We'd hate to have you over-excited!

Tomorrow for Cubs we are still working on Science principles and we are making Crystal Gardens. We are also working on the Artist pin so we will make Pinewood Derby neckerchief slides of sculpy clay. So I'd better go get my kitchen cleaned up and ready for the mess!!

The good thing is that DH ALWAYS takes me out for dinner after Cubs. It's so nice to know I don't have to cook, or even clean the kitchen until later.

I finished a page today. This is Angie's little gal.
Make A Wish

Hugs to all!

Angela, we must have been posting at about the same time.
I hope I can help you with posting.

You need to first post your pages here at 2peas in the gallery. Hover over gallery at the top and a pull-down will menu will show up. Go to the bottom to Upload Project. You do not have to have your layout hosted somewhere else. It can be right on your computer. Follow the prompts and it will take you through 5 steps. At the end it will ask if you want to relate your layout to products in the store, but it's not necessary. It will upload the layout and you will be able to see it in the gallery.

Then, go to the layout in the gallery. Make sure you are on your own layout, not just the whole page of layouts. Copy the URL at the top of the page.

Come to this thread, hit reply and type up whatever you would like to say to us on the thread. To post a link to your layout, click on URL in the box below the smilies. A box will come up and you paste the URL from the top of your other page into the box. Hit enter and another box will come up and you can put the title of your layout in it.

I know it sounds confusing, but I know you can do it. The only time you need to host a picture at another site is when you want to post the photo right in the thread post. For a LINK, you can host it from your computer.

Don't give up! We are happy to help!

Angela, I just noticed that you have posted your pages to 2peas Gallery.

So the next step is to follow my above instructions starting with, copy the URL of your layout and come to this thread. You've already done the hardest part. I know you can do it.

If you don't have success this time, I'll post the links to your pages. But I think you'll get it this time.

On a 2 page layout, you upload one photo, and then upload a second, third etc. at step 1 of posting in the gallery. That way both pages come up when you click on the layout.

Nylene, I'm so jealous. George Strait is one of my men. I actually got to interview him about 20 years ago for a magazine I used to write for. I would go see him again, but I got spoiled when I was writing. I always got front or 2nd row seats. Now, I'm too cheap to pay for those seats, unless it was Andrea Bocelli or Celine Dion.

I find if I have several layouts, I load them to the gallery, and open each one, copy the URL address at the top and paste it temporarily into Notepad. I do this for each LO. Then I open the message thread and open a reply window. I pin it to the right (with Windows7 hit windows key and right arrow) and open the notepad file and pin to left (windows key left arrow) so I can see both. then I use the URL at the bottom of the message area, copy the first address from my notepad and paste into the url space in my message thread hit enter, add a title and hit enter and repeat for each LO.

If you want to use an image, you have to open the LO in the gallery, right click on it, go to properties and copy the url (ends in 600). then instead of URL use IMAGE at the bottom of the message thread and paste that address in. If your image is too big however it will not show even if you did all the steps correctly.

hope that helps.

OOps I see NYLENE gave directions. Didn't mean to repeat. But if you need help, we're happy to oblige.

NYLENE I'm not sure which calendar you are reading, but tomorrow here is TUESDAY. LOL My boys 14th birthday. Wednesday is coming and so are my meds. Yippee. Can't wait.

ok off to bed.

Good Morning girls! I think I am about to burst with happiness for getting even close to five pages! WooHoo!!!!! I am doing the happy dance!!!!! We have outdone ourselves this month! I got a new computer for my scraproom yesterday. Now I don't have to drag my laptop back there. I bought a desktop with a 21.5 inch monitor! I can see really good now and it has a lot of speed and memory which will be good for my scrapping. I have to learn Windows 8 though. It is not too bad. I finally found the files system and control panel. I still have not found my email page that I like using. Last night I loaded my Cameo program and images to it and today need to install PSE11. Scrapping on my laptop was bothering my neck which gave me a headaches.

I will be BBL to praise all your beautiful pages-it will give me something to do while installing stuff.

Hugs, Cindy

Debi, as I was getting things ready for Cubs last night, I thought....hey, it's only Tuesday tomorrow. It made me laugh. I get so caught up in planning for our Tuesday Cubs that I think the day has already come. Silly me. Happy B-day to the boys, and good luck on the meds tomorow!

Angela, I hope you are having success. Try posting the links even if Debi did it for you. If all else fails, let one of us know and we will always post them for you. The Pokey Peas did that for me for months when I was struggling to do it. (many years ago!)

Sorry I have been quiet, this year has started off crazy busy, and February already has things on the calendar every weekend

Debi, I am so glad you are getting those meds, one more sleep Happy birthday to your boys today xxx

Nylene, my Tom received his Arrow of Light last night. He was super excited to get the actual arrow, we are going to ask his Grandpa (who is an expert wood turner) to make him a stand you he can display it on his dresser It was bitter sweet last night, as he said goodbye to his den leaders, as he has decided he does not want to continue onto Boy Scouts. He has had an amazing time in Cubs, and gained the highest awards both sides of the Atlantic - we are so proud of him!

We had our Burns Supper on Saturday - so fun to see the locals getting into the part, with alot of the guys wearing the kilt. DH did not, although he wishes he had ordered one. Maybe for next year. We had a piper, and haggis, and all the traditional speeches and poems. We even did some Ceilidh dancing, which was a bit like herding cats to start with, but they soon got the hang of it

This weekend we have 2 tailgating parties - one for the UK rugby match (England vs Scotland) on Saturday, and then a Superbowl party Sunday. You see why I am never here?

Got even more sleep last night. every bit helps. Woke up at 2:3o a.m. feeling decent, but of course went back to sleep and woke at 4:30 with aching shoulders. Knew it wouldn't last but oh well, a momentary reprieve is still welcome.

I hate to admit it but with not being able to do anything, nothing is getting done. LOL Still trying to get my Christmas stuff put away. Kids took all the ornaments off the tree last night and I started organizing them to put them away. Maybe we can get the actual tree apart today or at least by tomorrow.

I'm in a tizzy trying to figure out what to do. My boys decided that instead of having a big party this year they wanted to invite only 2 friends over at a time for an all night gaming stint. They invited 2 for Thursday as there is no school on Friday and another 2 for Saturday giving them a days break between. But alas one of the boys coming on Thursday sent us a birthday invite for an all night party at his house on Saturday...(a bit confusing as his birthday was Dec 13th and his younger brother's is today the same as my boys) but here's the catch. I feel badly to not have the boys attend his party if he's coming to their overnight thing. Do I simply decline saying the boys have prior plans for that night, and buy a gift for their friend to give to him when he comes to our house or do I try to rearrange the 2 boys who are schedled for Saturday (not inbited to the other childn's birthday) for Friday and have my kids be up 2 nights in a row which seems a lot to me especially since they have a big concert fieldtrip on Monday. What would you do?

Needless to say, either way, I'm hoping those meds kick in overtime.

Debi, seeing as you have already invited boys over on Saturday night, I would send apologies to the boy who has sent an invite for his party, but buy him a gift for when he comes over. You have made plans already, and I would not want to disappoint the other boys you have invited for Saturday, who may be really looking forward to that all night gaming

Happy Tuesday! Last night turned out so nice. We had so much food leftover from the resturant that I didn't have to cook and still had a great meal. Dh loved his card and that always makes me so happy. But overall these last several days celebrating have been the best in a long time. Thanks again for all your cheers.

So in celebration, here is that lo and card that had me stuck for a while. I love how it looks like the pic is on a bed of roses. I also made these for the 2peas Seeing Double challenge. I got my inspiration from her current work.

Anniversary LO & Card

Sarah- You have had fun celebrating, too. So happy you and your family have really found a great and welcoming community down there.

Cindy- Yes, we are on our way to 5 pages. Do you think we will make it before Feb 1?

Nylene- So glad to hear your dh spoils you by taking you to dinner after your cub mtgs. Also, that HL is so huge I may have to get one of those motor carts to wheel me around! Just kidding! I could use the exercise.

Debi- I agree with Sarah on the boys party situation. Either way, I know they will have fun. Oh, to be a teenage again!

Linda- I gotta go see your recent layouts.

Cindy - We've still got a couple of days in this month. We'll make it.

Kelly - Love that card. Keep em coming. One of my bffs is a Kelly.

Debi - Send a gift for the other boy. Let your boys have their fun.

Well, that's about it for now. bbl

Sarah, so nice to "see" you! Congrats to Tom on his Arrow of Light. That's a great achievement! How great that he's earned the highest award in both England and USA. My little "English transplant" Cub is getting closer to his Arrow of Light. I'll have to ask what he earned in England.
Sounds like you have a lot going on. What fun to celebrate both countries sport events!

Linda, have you finished more pages? Please post them all.

Kelly, I love your layout and card. You have such elegance in everything you do. Glad you have really had a great celebration together.

We still have a few more day before the end of the month. We may have to have a big celebration if we make it to 5 pages! I checked the page that shows all the layouts posted to Pokey Peas and it's 5 pages long. That's a lot of scrapping along with the chatting!

Debi, tomorrow is Wed! (Did I get that right this time?) Hope the meds do wonders.

Have a great day, everyone.
