Thanks for all the prayers and support. Really trying to stay on top of meds so I'm pretty out of it, and its hard to type 1 handed!! Luckily its my non-dominant hand. Thanks Monica for spreading the message!

Welcome to all the new faces!! I'm Tammy, married to DH for 22 years. We have 4 kids Josh 21, Bobby 16 in a few days, Joey 9 and Rebecca almost 7). We live on the eastside of Seattle, after moving here almost 10 years ago from San Diego. I am a SAHM. I babysit a little girl, Charley, a couple days each week. I used to be a medical asst in OB/Gyn office.
I fell a couple of days before Christmas (roller skating) and shattered my wrist and just had surgery to fix it up. I hope to do better this year scrapping regularly than I did last.

Anyone do OLW for 2013? My word is focus. Not sure that I'll do any projects, but gives me place to, well, focus!

Hi Everybody--room for one more? I've been on hiatus from 2peas and scrapping in general for some time now, but I'm hoping to get back to it! My name is Leah and I'm in Indiana--married to Mike for 22 years with 13-and almost 16-year old daughters. When I'm not busy trying to be supermom, I'm a special needs aid in an elementary school. There's yet to be any scrapping for me in 2013, but (thanks to some concentrated cleaning time!) I can now at least walk into my scrap room without wanting to run away screaming! Hopefully the cleaning/organizing will get accomplished soon so I can have some fun and play along with some of the challenges.

ok, here goes, are you ready?

yep, I got another page done today before heading to work...
I am so stinkin' excited...I hope I can maintain this energy, LOL...
yeah, I know it won't last too long, but I'm excited just the same.

Here it is:
Thanksgiving '04

HEY NYLENE - our check box is gone.

Theresa - congrats to your friends. That's so wonderful, and to happen so quickly is just great.

Misty - Welcome, girl. You sound really, really busy

Tammy - So sorry, girl. Really hope it doesn't take too long to heal.

Diana - I didn't call Wanda...I was running late and really forgot about doing it. I'll put it on my list. I hope I still have her new number...

Monica B - yeah, Kevin is really overly anxious about this car thing...but I hope he keeps looking and just doesn't settle.

Michelle and Debi....hope everything is ok.

ok, I better go, or I'll stay here all night, LOL.
We go back to school tomorrow...sigh. But at least no J's tomorrow night. J's was busy tonight too, geesch.

Sweet dreams.

MY OH MY you girls have started the year off with a BANG!

DIANA thank you for missing me.

THERESA shame on you for pinning the thread crash on me (Wagging my finger at you girl). No my initials are NOT DB. I don't know what was up with the DEC and NOV threads but they both seem to have fallen prey to the same issue. I've sent in trouble tickets daily, but they don't seem to know what is causing the issue.

Sorry I've been MIA. I went to spend a few days with my mom, now that my boys aren't here, and she does not have internet access. Hard to imagine there are people in this world without a computer or internet, but there are. She won't even use an ATM. LOL But she has no problem playing penny slots at the casino.

We went to the local small casino for New Year's Eve. I even dressed up a little which surprisingly got noticed. I had so many people approach me and talk to me that evening. Mom and I also got our photos taken with a girl dressed like a showgirl...definitely will end up in a LO sometime. I even came out a bit a head. So a great way to send off the old year and ring in the new.Besides I had a gret time.

My RA is in full flare up mode. I'm in a lot of pain and can't move much. Taking 2-3 hours just to dress. Can't wait to get back on my meds but dr's appointment isn't until 2 weeks from now. I'm going to try to see if I can get him to sign off on the prescription paperwork before then as this is a miserable way to live.

TAMMY my sympathies are with you as you deal with your wrist.

NYLENE how is your writst these days? Does it cause you pain any more? I know when I fell and broke my shoulder, I had pain for over 2 years. These things can linger especially with us more "mature" folks.

Anyone want to come help me clean up my house, put away the christmas stuff? The thought of it right now just makes me hurt. It may have to wait.

HELLO and WELCOME to all the new faces. I hope you stay. we are a good group to hang out with and yes, we are chatty. Especially THERESA, MICHELLE and I.

My name is DEBI. I live in Seattle with my twin 13-year-old (turning 14 at the end of the month) boys. I have a chronic illness (Rheumatoid arthritis) in every joint and have been living with it now 40 years. I never get use to it. I am divorced and unfortunately currently unemployed. I also am one of the few digi scrappers here, maybe the only one who is 100% digi. You will see challenges from me which can be done digital, hybrid or with paper. it's all about scrapping not how you choose to scrap. I'm excited there are so many wanting to partake in our group. These ladies have been awesome to know, supportive, empathetic, and hilarious at times. AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO SCRAP TO CHAT!

I didn't take my laptop with me, so I have done NO scrapping...imagine that! I however probably can recite by memory several Hallmark Christmas movies. LOL

So now that you girls can stop talking about me behind my back, I'll be checking in regularly again. LOL

THIS IS GOING TO BE A GREAT NEW YEAR!

Hi, Erin! Long time no see!
Did you get together with Connie after Thanksgiving? I couldn't go because my DH was not doing well. Are we planning for a day in Jan?
Welcome to the thread. We have a great time together...and sometimes we even scrap!

Hi Nylene! So nice to 'hear' from you! No, I didn't make it in December. I was planning on it, had everything packed the night before and ready to go, but then we had unexpected company. I loved having friends drop by for a few days, but it would have been nice if they'd come only 24 hours later. lol

I'm looking forward to a January meet up... And chatting here.

Welcome to all the new Chatty Scrappers. You guys are going to love it! I'm not new to the group, but feel like it, because I haven't been around in a long time.

Monica B. Thank You for the banner, I think i was able to add it, we'll see after I finish this post.

Tammy. Prayers for a fast and not to painful recovery.

Diana have you gone 100% digital?

While praising I have noticed how many wonderful things I have missed by being MIA... wow! It'll take me a little while to catch up.

Happy New Year and a belated Merry Chritmas too!

I've missed you gals! I don't even know if the novel I wrote around Christmas posted as I haven't been able to get into the Dec thread since then and our ADSL line at home has been down for more than a week. Trying to get anything fixed at this time of year is almost impossible I'm on here at work, so no time to praise, but HAD to say hi!

Tammy - hope you are recovering. What a horrible way to start the year...

Hello to all the new faces and those new to me but returning after a break. Yeah, I'm one of the chatty ones

I'm Michelle, married to Heinrich for 14 years. We have 3 boys: Sean (10), Ruan (8) and Kyle (4) who keep me very busy. I live in Cape Town, South Africa, so give the thread its international flair! I'll use expressions you've never heard and seem to have the girls in stitches and/or very confused alot. I'm a pharmacist and own my own pharmacy but only work half-days. 2012 was a hetic year so I'm hoping 2013 calms down a bit. I scrap in spurts, with some months being very productive, others very quiet. But I'm always here to chat.

I'm hoping H can get the internet going at home today as I'm dying to see what you have all been up to. Toni - don't think I've EVER seen so many pages from you! You go girl!

Morning all!

Debi, glad to see you're not the thread killer after all. Someone else actually mentioned you first, LOL. They do think it was someone posting during the night that was causing the thread to lock but haven't figured it out yet, thinking virus in their computer. Matt from 2P's says he doesn't even see the December thread at all anymore, like it's been deleted totally. We may never figure out what happened.

Michelle good to see you back too.

Good Morning Sweet Peas!!!

I'm sooo happy to see so many new faces joining us and so many familiar ones returning. Yesterday was my first day at my new job, it all went well, it was a very busy day, but a good one.

For those of you who don't know me, I'm Tina, I live in Indianapolis and have been married to my husband, Ron, for 20 years. I have 3 kids, Olivia who is 19, Mallory who is 14 and Griffin who is 9. I work as the CEO of a child welfare agency and have an issue with putting clouds all over my LO's. I want to welcome all of you...it's so nice to have new folks play along with us. Please don't be intimidated by how quickly this thread moves this month, things here are usually really busy for January and then it falls into a slower routine after that.

I got a few LO's scanned and posted, here they are:

Mal's new room

A Dad and his boy

Hello friend - this is my lift of Katy from last month's challenge, it was inspired by her Gladys Kravitz LO.

I hope you all have a great day!

Tina

Good morning, Welcome all the new faces.

I'm working from home today, I want to finish my Dec. Daily and maybe play with paper. I'm working on a digi one now.

For those that don't know me, my name is Diana been married to Stan for 12 years come January, our family is a blended one, 7 kids in total yours mine and ours. Stan has Beau 32 (lives in Costa Rica), Lauren 30, Justin (Bucky) 27 and Tyler (Cost Guard, he belongs to both since I raised him since he was 11) 21, then mine are Daniel 18 (at UCF in Orlando) Monica 15 and ours is Natalie 8. I love our big family. I now work part time at a pool leak detection company. I scrapbook both digital and paper. and love a good party.

Michele so good to see you. How is your father doing?

Tere I still do paper is just that I don't have the time and my desk is a mess, but I have too much paper goodies to ever stop.

Tina Glad your first day went well.

Debi glad to see you.

Going to make some breakfast for these kids they all just got up. Have a wonderful day.

Good Morning Ladies!!

Happy New Year!

I forgot about the name change, but after a little search found you all!!

Tina, the sketches are great, I can't wait to get started!

I am planning on doing OLW in a Smash Book, I am just need to decide on a word. Hopefully I will be able to choose today.

Welcome to all the new faces!!

My name is Sherri and I am a mom to 3 kids, Devon 13, Noah 8 & Lanie 7(almost) and married to Rick for 10 years. I work pt at The Loft Outlet and volunteer in the kids classrooms. Scrapping is not done as often as I would like, trying to fit it in between driving to and from the baseball fields, basketball gyms, soccer fields & football fields, doesn't leave a lot of time. This group has definitely given me the inspiration to fit it in when I can and the challenges help get the creative juices flowing!

Off to get some time in on the Eliptical and hoping to get back here to leave some praise. Enjoy your day!!

"THREAD KILLER" LOL definitely don't want that on my resume, or do I?

Wierd they can't find DEC's thread. makes no sense, really. We had the same thing happen to November's thread.

Oh well, New Year, New Thread, New Name, New People, New Energy, New goals...

Going to a movie "Les Miserables" today with a friend. She is treating.

BOdy still rebelling so moving slow. It's gorgeous outside too. wish I had the mobility to get stuff done. I love sunny days to motivate me.

MICHELLE glad you dropped in. Sorry about the internet issues at home. I feel a bit lost when I have no internet. I've become so dependent on it.

Love seeing everybody. I'd like to add 2 challenges to our January list. TINA can you add these to the first post? NYLENE can you add these to the checkbox link?

BOOKMARKS CHALLENGE: scraplift a LO off your first page of bookmarks (now this could be the most recent bookmarks or your most ancient ones from when you first began bookmarking pages--only you know which page you consider to be page one).

DIGI CHALLENGE: Scrap 1-2 pictures only, include a doodle or fancy border on at least one side of your page. Extra points for leaving white space. JUST BECAUSE I DABBLE IN DIGI DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE TO--HYBRID AND PAPER LOs WELCOMED.

ok off to see if I can accomplish something today. Have a fantastic one.

Good evening everyone. It is so darn cold around here right now I can't seem to get warm. It was another long day at work I really can't wait until I finish school so that I can do a job that I really want to do.

Tammy- hope you are feeling a bit better today.

Leah- Nice to meet you just jump on in these gals are great.

Toni- I hope that your first day back was a good one. You are just a scrappin machine lately.

Debi- Sorry to hear that your RA is acting up. I don't know how it physically feels but I watched my Grandfather and a couple of other relatives go through it for many years. Sounds like you had a great new years eve too.

Tere- Hello, yes I'm a mommy now to a beautiful 1 year old girl. Her name is Joelle Elaine after my Husband and both of our Mom's. It is so good to see you back with us again.

Michelle- I hope you can get your internet going again, I would be so lost with out ours, if I'm not on the computer I'm on my phone lately.

Tina- So glad that your first day at your new job went well.

Diana- Hope you have had a great day and got the scrappin done that you were wanting to.

Well I've gotta run my timer is about to go off. I'll try to check back in later.

I'm so sorry, Chatty Scrappers. I somehow posted the checkbox but it didn't stay up. It was up for a couple of days and then just disappeared. I have reposted it and added Debi's challenges.
Those of you (Toni and Tina, I noticed!) who posted while it was gone can go back and edit your layouts to check the box. Sorry, this board has been wonky!

Welcome, Leah! Welcome Misty! Nice to see you.

Sherrie, glad you found the thread. Welcome back.

Debi, I was getting worried about you! Sorry about the RA difficulties right now. I am exactly 1 year past my wrist surgery and it's doing well. I can hardly stand the cold on it, however. We've had days of 10 degrees and I guess all those plates and screws make it ache when they get cold. If I keep it well covered and don't lift heavy things I do well. I have great empathy for Tammy! Congrats on coming out ahead at the casino!

I tended baby Alex yesterday and loved every minute of it. After they left I scrapped for a while. Finished one page and made a bunch of paper dolls to send to Sammie.

Unique

Nice to see new faces and so many "long time" members checking in. I hope we can all find time to do a bit of scrapping each month.

I think this qualifies from Monica's Challenge. Used that big circle.

Debi - Great way to start the new year coming out ahead at the casino. Maybe it is a good sign of what's to come this year. Hope you're RA calms down and you had a good time at the movie.

Michelle - Hope you get your internet fixed. I can't go very long without mine. It's amazing how dependent on it we've become.

Misty - I love your motto. I'll have to remember it as I'm always running fifty different directions with my girls as well.

Toni - Hope you had a good day back at school.

Tina - Glad you had a great first day at your new job.

Leah - Welcome to the group.

Not alot going on here. I've been staying in the house as much as possible, taking full advantage of not having to be anywhere for as long as I can.

Have a good evening everyone!

Good morning!

Oh, if it was someone posting at night causing the problems, I hope it wasn't me... My mornings are night there after all... Though my anti-virus software is up to date.

Debi- hope your RA calms down soon. I can't imagine being in pain every day. Good going at the casino. Great to come out ahead and good for you for walking away. I never can - when I win I play till everything is gone again

Toni- My dad is very down at the moment. Very lonely. I'm not sure if my post about the internet dating scam posted or who saw it, but, to sum up, he fell for a scam on an internet dating site and has lost quite a lot of money. This despite all of us kids telling him it's a scam and NOT to give money to someone you've never met. I suppose he is very vunerable right now (for the newbies, my mom passed away last June after a long battle with cancer) and wants to feel needed. Perfect target for the unscrupulous.

Need to get back to work.

Good morning all! Happy Friday.

We have no idea what happened to the November and December threads to make them crash. Matt, from 2P's has someone looking into it. All we know for sure is that it was crashing late at night and we were the only thread affected so that is why we were thinking it could have been one of the late night posters (unintentionally of course). Could be that 2P's just couldn't handle so much awesomeness all in one place, LOL!

Downer alert! If you don't want to read this move on to the next post. Sorry I haven't been saying much the last couple of days and I don't want to make anyone sad but I really would like your prayers this weekend for a couple of dear friend's of mine and their family. Their 28 year old daughter, Kelli, was found dead Wednesday morning. She had a sinus infection a few weeks ago and was treated for it but other than that had no health issues that they were aware of. She didn't drink, smoke or do drugs and just was the sweetest gal ever. Loved animals, had two cats that you'd swear were real kids to hear her talk and was so excited to start teaching Wednesday morning. She didn't show up to the class and they went to check on her and found her dead. They are doing an autopsy but the results won't be in for a while. Funeral is tomorrow with visitation tonight. This is the youngest daughter of the friend that had to have a double mastectomy last year for breast cancer. She's still getting treatments but is believed to be cancer free. They have one other daughter. I've been blessed to call them friends for 27 years and have watched Kelli and Jenny grow up. Tom (the Dad) does my hair and he is the Pastor of a local church. Nancy (the Mom) just retired a couple of years ago from being the Counselor at the high school and was a teacher prior to that. They're just the sweetest people ever. Jeremy (my son) called Wednesday night and said that she had mentioned last week that she was trying to lose weight. He said he didn't know if she was taking medication that may have interacted with the antibiotics that they gave her for her sinus infection but that might be something to look into. Some meds can cause serious heart issues and most people wouldn't think to mention they were taking a diet aide when the doctor asked if they were on medication. Okay enough rambling, those that kept reading thanks for the prayers.

Back to the regular thread.

Tammy, hope you're feeling better and the pain is reducing.

Michelle, hate to hear your Dad was a victim of a scam. That stuff worries me so much. Glad he found out before he really lost a lot of money. Hope he'll still consider moving closer to you so the kids can keep him entertained.

Tere, hope Danny feels better and doesn't share the cold.

Tina, glad your first week at the new job is going well.

Can't remember anything else, should have opened a new tab but it's too late now. For the newbies, the easiest way to read the thread is to open two windows/tabs and read in one and comment in the other one.

Half day today but it's at the Madisonville Clinic with just me and Doc so I'll be busy. Have my crop tonight but really don't want to go. We have a few new people that have been talking about starting with us this year so I can't cancel this late. Plan on taking my new Sillhouette and laptop and figuring out how to use it. That way I won't have to pack any supplies.

Have an awesome day everyone!

Good Morning Peas!

Just thought I'd run by & check in before I head to the office. Happy Friday!!! Is anyone doing anything fun this weekend? I think we are having a couple of extra kiddos sleepover, but that is about it for us (that I know of anyway).

Tere - I hope Danny feels better soon. Don't worry about being the thread killer...that stuff has happened for the last couple of months, hopefully 2 Peas can figure it out.

Theresa - Prayers for your friend's family. I saw that on your FB, that would be so devastating...I can't imagine. If she were taking weight loss meds, that could be it, I know a lot of people who've tried them that said it made their heart race and stuff like that.

Michelle - So sorry about your Dad. I think the rings that do the online dating scams are very, very convincing. I had a friend who got scammed for 40k, some guy talked her into co-signing for a new SUV and then drove it off and she never saw either of them again. She was a smart lady too...he just absolutely conned her.

Nylene - I'm so jealous of your baby time with Alex! I LOVE babies...my kids call me a baby hog. I'm thinking I should have some grandkids in the next 8-10 years...that will be so happy.

Jodi - I know what you are saying about the cold, we've had a foot of snow down for the last week, so it is just cold. It doesn't seem like it's warming up any time soon to get rid of all of the white stuff. Cozy up and stay inside as much as you can.

Have a wonderful day ladies! I'm off to do a little praising before I head out.

Theresa, thx for your tip about opening 2 screens! I am already getting confused with everyone's names. Guess I'll have to read this on my computer instead of phone so I can leave some praise, too! You girls are inspiring me to get some scrappin in this weekend.

Good day, ladies!!! I wanted to pop in before the craziness of the weekend begins! We still have Christmas to do with my Dad and 3 younger brothers...I will host that tomorrow {Saturday} evening. Thankfully, they will all be satisfied with some homemade veggie soup, so not having to do a lot of cooking!!!

As for scrapping, I want to so badly!!! However, I am trying to refrain until we have my workspace ready...do not want to drag it all out to the kitchen table just to clean up again. I do look forward to working on the challenges then!!!

Ive also been busy getting back on track with my Origami Owl stuff. I was soooo busy with it for Christmas that I decided to take a little time off, but started back on Wednesday {had people calling ready to use their Gift Certificates that they received for Christmas...lol} and am in full swing again. Thankfully, I being a part of the company!!!

Anywho, I will check back in asap...hope you all have a blessed weekend!

THERESA I'm so sorry to hear about your friend's dd. Puzzling, but diet meds could be involved. So sad.

Still struggling with th RA today...my oh my do I dislike this disease. But I'm up and trying to get the house somewhat in order for the boys to come home to this evening. Wish there was a way to have a portable hot shower I could walk around in...I feell my best when I'm in steaming water.

Saw Les Miserables yesterday...it was really good. I enjoyed it immensely. WHat a nice treat from a friend to take me.

Slept a bit better last night as I piled on the blankets to stay warm. Warm is the key right now. Maybe I'll have to give in and up the heat in the house for a few days. Currently it's 60 but I feel like I'm in a freezer at the moment.

You know how they have electric socks (well battery operated heated socks)...need some pants like that. LOL Puts a whole new spin on being wired, doesn't it?

Getting hungry, but know if I go into the kitchen, I may be there awhile. It needs to be cleaned. I've been letting it go for a few days.

Glad to see our thread is still working. I did a LO albeited waiting on the photos to be scanned, last night so will post soon.

Have a fantastic Friday!

Hey girls -

just ended one job and I'm off to the other, but thought while eating my apple I would hop on and get some praising done. At least, being Friday, no one is here to interrupt me, LOL.

Debi - thanks for adding the bookmarks challenge...that is one of my favorite challenges, and I got it done last night Just need to add a title tonight.

Tammy - I hope it isn't too long before you're able to scrap again...Hope a light weight cast is in your near future. That must have been one heck of a break.

Anyway, I've got to run or I'll be late, and Friday's traffic is always treacherous.

Have a great night, girls.

Hi everybody! Just popping in to say hello. Thanks for the warm welcome!

Michelle--I hate to hear about your dad and the scammer. It's infuriating when unscrupulous people prey on the vulnerable.

Teresa--So very sorry for your friends' loss. Prayers for them, of course!

Debi--so sorry you're struggling with your RA right now. I've watched others deal with it and seen how painful and debilitating it can be. On the bright side, glad you enjoyed getting to see Les Mis. DH and I snuck out for a date night to see it and really enjoyed it.

Heading off to take the family bowling down on campus now--we love to take advantage of the students' still being gone on break. Such a nice time to take advantage of all campus has to offer without having to work through the crowds of students.

Just found the new thread. Yay!
Welcome to all the new faces. It will take me a while to remember all the names but I'll get there.
I'll need to go and start praising layouts too.

Here is my intro: I live in South Dakota where my husband and I own and operate an antique mall called Old West Trading Post from April-October. We have winters off, but that doesn't mean I don't have enough to do! Besides the store, we sell on Etsy and Ebay and find most of our inventory at auctions. We have no kids unless you count our two cats. Besides scrapping I like to read, go antiquing, watch old movies and tv series sets, and listen to music. My favorite pages to scrap are heritage ones.

I hope I get a lot more scrapping done this year!

Hi all just checking in again. Actually got out of work in 8 hours today and don't have to work tomorrow. I am planning on getting up early and getting a couple of pages done. Plus I get to go pick up Joelle's 1 year pictures and our family pictures tomorrow. I start back to school on Monday so I am going to get as much stuff done this weekend that I can cause I will not have much time after that.

Theresa- That is so devastating for your friends, I will put them and you in my prayers.

Tina- hope you have a great weekend with the extra kiddos. We don't have hardly any snow just the cold weather.

Tammy- good to see that you are doing a little better, hope they can get you a lighter splint.

Michelle- that is awful about your father, I just don't understand people drives me crazy.

Debi- glad that you had a good time at the movie,I really want to see it and I might even get my DH to go. Our local summer stock theater did a production of Le Mis a couple of years ago and DH actually really liked it.

Waving hello to everyone else, gotta go get the mini monkey up from her evening nap. So I will check back in later.

Theresa, my sympathies to you and your friend's family. Prayers for all of you! Such a sad situation.

Misty, can you explain the origami owls? This sounds so interesting.

Tammy, hugs to you! I couldn't stand a cast and had to have a wrap that DH could carefully remove when the anxiety and claustrophobia became too bad. I learned that many people have that kind of reaction. The Dr. wasn't at all surprised. Hope you can get a light-weight one and become more comfortable. Lots of prayers for a quick recovery.

Michelle, I have wondered how the "dating" went with your dad, but hated to ask. I'm so sorry he was conned. I'm sure he is really in the dumps.
Hope he'll move closer to you.

Welcome, Kimberly. I don't think I welcomed you earlier.

Melanie, nice to see you. Hope you find time to do some wonderful heritage pages. I wish I lived close enough to go antiquing with you. That would be such a great treat.

Debi, when you invent the wired leg warmers, I'll buy a pair. My legs are always cold, summer and winter. Hope the RA is better tomorrow. Stay in where it's warm. It was 12 degrees when we went out this a.m.

I don't have the know-how to open another window, so I know I'm forgetting things. Nice to see so many checking in and chatting. I have finished another page and will post it when I get a chance to scan it. I've never scrapped this much for ages! Of course my Christmas stuff is still up! Monday it will come down.

ETA: Adding my layout. Super simple layout.

Theresa..I'm so sympathies for you and your friends family, that is just so awful. Prayers that they can find peace. I know that Stan had to stop taking one of his medicines when he did the HCG diet.

Nylene... I've been scrapping on my extra time instead of putting my Christmas away.

Tony..Hope it's not so crazy tonight.

Debi...Put that heater on woman, it will help you RA a lot. At least at night. My mom wraps herself in a hot electric blanket when her flairs up and is hot here, but she says that, the heat calms it down. This said by a woman who keeps the ac at 69. Hope you feel better soon.

Misty..Do show us your Origami, my son love making them.

Tammy...Good to see you, hope you are feeling better.

Michelle...These people prey on the vulnerable ones, I've had to girlfriends that had the same story. I British man who lived in Coral Gables, a very luxurious area here in Miami, but was in business in London and then had to fly to Pennsylvania, it went on and on he was coming home then he did not come home, then he asked her for her bank account that he was going to put money in it, then after 4 or 5 weeks of this nonsense asked her for $2000 thank God she listen to me and that she really did not have it, she realized it was a scam. This happened to her 2 times but the second time she played the game and asked him for money, never again did she hear back from him. My other friend he was a wealthy developer in South Africa, very romantic well almost the same scenario, I told her what had happened to my other friend and that was the end of that. Something similar happened to me for a job, it looked so perfect I research the company and it was all fictitious. You have to be very careful on line, I met my hubby on line but we went out right away and it was not all romance it was normal. Good luck to him, hope he finds a nice companion. To bad my mom lives so far away they could at least go out and keep each other company, my mom has never been on a date since my father passed in 1988...imagine that.

Tere...You could never be a thread killer. Hope Danny is doing better.

My Danny is off to school, I'm going to miss him I had him here for such a long time. Pray that he gets a job soon, he really needs one.

Hope evreyone has a wonderful evening, got to get the fish out of the oven.

My apologies, ladies for not being more specific about my Origami Owl business. It never dawned on me that it could be very misleading seeings I am posting on a scrapbooking message board...yeah, I didnt really think it thru...lol!!!

Anywho, Origami Owl is a jewelry company and I am an Independant Designer. Although I love being a part of it, it can be very time consuming as with any job. I wasnt looking for an extra job, but this opportunity just sorta fell in my lap and Im hoping to use the extra $$$ for my scrapbooking habit as well as extra cash to take a vacation this spring/summer.

Again, I apologize for the confusion.

DIANA and NYLENE at least you are scrapping. I'm just looking at my Christmas decorations and not putting them away. LOL Oh well at least it's festive.

NYLENE to open a new window, go to the POST REPLY at the bottom left of the page under the JUMP arrow(NOT THE one in the arrow), Right click on it and choose in a new window. That will allow you to have both the thread open and your reply. If you have windows7 you can click on one of the windows, click the WINDOWS button and the left arrow to pin that window to the left side of the screen, then go to the other window, click on the WINDOWS button and the right arrow to pin it to the right side of the screen...this allows you to see both screens at once if that helps.

So far today, I've eaten chocolates, lunch, and watched tv...where in there is my house cleaning you ask? well need to get on that now. LOL

The BOOKMARKS challenge is always one of my favorites too.

Ok i'm going to get something done...I'm going to get something done...I'm going to get something done....

Back from the crop, had a good time I guess but sure didn't feel like being there and I liked to have froze to death! They had set up the conference room for a church function for Sunday night (shame on them expecting to use their building for church activities, LOL) so we had to use the cafe and the heat would not stay on. (Actually they weren't supposed to set the conference room up until tomorrow since we had it reserved but what can you do.) The church has a timer thingie on the air/heat so it doesn't waste electricity but usually when we are there and I hit the unoccupied temporary set it stays, this time it didn't heat or at least it didn't work in the cafe. I finally resorted to putting my coat on but my fingers are still hurting from being cold. Took my Silhouette to try and figure it out but couldn't focus on it because of others asking for help with their projects and all the chatting so finally just put it back away. I'll figure it out here.

Headed to bed just wanted to pop on and say hi.

Hey girls -

Theresa: I'm headed to bed, too...really tired and morning comes way too fast. I'm terribly sorry about your friends' DD. That is just so terribly sad. My heart goes out to them. Many prayers being said.

Before I get to bed, I just want to post this bookmarks take...although it's definitely just inspired by it.

You

I'll see you all in the morning, or later in the afternoon. I decided not to go to the crop and just come home and try to do something. I figured I would probably be too tired, and this way I won't spend any extra money I don't have, LOL.

'nite all.

Here's a new link to ScrappyCass's LO so you can leave comments if you want.

THERESA sorry about the no-heat for your cropping event. I'd been hard pressed to stay as I'm so non-functional when I'm cold. I'm not good company either as I get cranky when my RA acts up and cold is definitely a contributor to that. You'll get another time to figure out the Silhouette. Maybe check out youtube...always find stuff there to help.

Just to update, I did get the kitchen cleaned, the refrigerator emptied of all the food no longer edible, the garbage out, the yardwaste out, the recycles out and several boxes of donated clothing for the Blind out. The boys came home and we are back to normal.

I'm heading off to bed pretty soon too.
So glad everyone liked having a bookmarks challenge...funny NYLENE that you did the challenge before I even posted it...guess we were thinking alike.

A weekend left then everyone is back to school and routines. Not sure if that is good or bad.

Good Morning!

Debi - the heated pants could be an electifying experience in your wet weather! Maybe you should move here for your winters - we are having weather in the 90's.

Theresa - So sorry for your friends. I can't imagine losing a child. And sorry to hear you froze at the crop. Please ask if you are struggling with the Sill. Which model do you have? Believe me, once you get comfortable with it you won't ever be able to scrap without it .

Melanie - happy to see you again. Really hope you get more scrappy time. Are things calming down there at all?

Diana - my Christmas tree is still up too. It just looks so pretty. But I'll have to get the boys to help me take it down this weekend. School statrs on the 16th again and then I can forget it. I spent yesterday afternoon covering books for Sean. Ruan only gets his on the first day of school, so can't do anything in advance there. Hmm, reminds me to take a photo of all the new stationery & stuff...

Misty- LOL! I was dying to see the origami owls too! Thought that could only be cute. Heehee, way to forget you are amongst papercrafters

Tammy - hope you get the lighter cast soon. Doing things with one hand must be the pits. Though, as a mom, you did learn do do that when they were babies. Just need to re-learn the old skills, lol.

Need to get praising or I will never catch up!

Happy Saturday Peas!

I'm up all by myself this morning, everyone else is still in bed...it's strangely quiet. I have to do my chores this morning...yuk! I also need to take the Christmas tree down today...which is not very fun. I'm hoping to have time to do a couple more of the challenges today too.

It's still really cold out, so I would prefer to stay home all day, but I do have to take Griffin out to do some shopping. He is growing like a weed and has outgrown most of the jeans that I got him in September when school started and his shoes are getting too small. Since he absolutely hates to shop, I hope that trip doesn't take too long...he is torture to shop with.

Anywho, I hope you all have a wonderful day and that you have time to make something pretty!

Tina
