Praisemark!

Just keeping my head above water around here, and freezing while I do it!
I'm looking forward to it warming to the high 20's by the end of the week.

Tammy, hang in there!

Will come back to chat later. Love the CHA layouts you are doing. Wish I could participate.

I gave in and called ex and asked if he'd bring the boys home. He reluctantly agreed but only if I promised to bring them there soon on one of his visitation days in trade. He never does anything just out of kindness, but at least he did bring them home.

I had great plans of getting stuff done but I overestimated my energy level. I've been up 2 hours (all I've accomplished was eating, showering, reading email and the threads, calling my mom) and I'm exhausted. Boys are walking home as i speak so they will be here shortly. Lunch will need to be made, then I'm afraid I may have to take a nap. Darn it, I even turned up the heat in the house.

MICHELLE thanks, I'll take the extra degrees. Barbara nice of you to let me. LOL

PRAISEMARK and I'm down for the count.

Well, I'm not getting anything done because the 1 year old does not want to nap today. I can do laundry, keep my house tidy. But no invitations are being completed. Really sad because I wanted it DONE by now.

So, I've decided I *am* going to adopt a OLW. Not sure if I will get involved in the full blown program, but I did pick a word: KINDESS. I've noticed a lot of people/organizations promoting kindness (started in earnest after the Newton tragedy). And I think I could really stand to incorporate more of it into my life...my daughters will appreciate it, I know.

JAN, LINDA, WANDA...are you there? MELANIE? Are you there?

OK, I'm going to try taking the baby into the craft room.

Well BARBARA it's me and you, the west coast ladies. Guess everyone else has been frozen out.

I'm back in bed. Frustrating that I can't stay up very long without getting exhausted but a little at a time I suppose.

I thought I might try to scrap but I may end up napping instead. We'll see if I can stay awake long enough to finish a page. Sorry the baby won't nap. Hard when you count on the free time and it doesn't happen, isn't it? Hope you get the invites done.

Signing off

Diana, I don't envy you having to swith the bedroom around, those are always bigger job then we think they will be, lol. You sister is lucky to be getting away on a vacation, I am jealous, lol.

Theresa, i hope your drive to work wasn't TOO bad and that you have made it to AND from work safely.

Caught up again. Sorry am not too chatty tonight. The boys are fighting going to sleep tonight so I am just not in a a talkative mood. Doesn't help that I was still away at 4 this morning, don't know hwat is up with that ( eye roll) lol. I did get to read for a bit though, figured I might as well do something since the sandman flew right by me, lol.

I think I am going to make myself a nice hot tea, crawl under my heating throw and read for a while.

Goodnight everyone and I hope you all have a good day tomorrow.

Evening all. Drive to work was fine, lots of car tracks off the road and saw a few cars in fields but the only place I slid was walking across the parking lot at work.

Came in and have crashed on the couch ever since. Can not get warm! Didn't get a lot of sleep again last night. Randy was snoring and then the neighbor called and woke us up at 11 because she had a heart flutter or something and went into a panic attack. Think it was a reaction to Tamiflu that caused the heart flutter but anyway her husband got scared so I had to talk them both down. Took me another good hour to get to sleep then woke up at 4:30 and couldn't go back to sleep because I wondered about the road condition. Headed to bed in a bit but figured I'd better check in.

Good morning!

Debi - PLEASE take 30 degrees! I'm dying here. We have had this heat and now it's humid too and it was raining big fat drops yesterday but it did nothing to cool it down. Ugh. It's like living in the tropics. Everything is sticky. I don't even want to scrap as my arms are sticking to my desk and every little bit of paper.

Barbara - Heehee, No, Kyle is only 4 years old, so he has started what I think you call Kindergarten. He has 2 years of it then starts 'big school' for the year he turns 7 (Grade 1). I've never been able to figure out the American school system, so can't tell you the equivalent. We have pre-school (ages turning 5 and 6 that year); primary school (Grade 1- 7, turning 7 - 13) and high school (Grade 8-12, turning 14 -18). He was much happier today. I think he was just worried that I wouldn't know where to fetch him from. Silly boy! Sean and Ruan were with the same teacher in grade RR so I know Julia well.

Tere - that is an amazing photograph.

Mary Jo - oh no! Not another one down. The illness has really hit your home with a vengance. Hope everyone feels better real soon.

Lori - I know what you mean about not feeling like chatting when the kids are driving you mad. I just want to escape a bit then, but can't. Hope you got to take a bit of a nap. Being up till 4 wouldn't help the patience either, lol.

Theresa - I can just picture these random cars standing in fields - hope no-one was hurt. Please drive carefully. it sounds scary.

Tina - hope thing are not too hectic at work. the travelling must be tiring but it will be nice to be able to meet everyone. Things should settle down by next month.

Have a great day and enjoy the cold for me - I'm jealous!

Good night! I *finally* finished the invites and will put the whole package in the mail tomorrow.

I put pics of the invite and response card in my Gallery. And I'm gonna put a link here. But I have this nagging feeling that I should not do this...that exposing this before the bride has mailed them is not OK...do you guys agree?? I might take it down later. I just feel like sharing it right now. But I feel like I'm sharing something that is not mine to share. (I should wait until they are mailed.)

I'm curious what you all think about that...

Josh and Brittany's wedding Invitation & Response Card

OK, I am exhausted and need to go to bed. The good news is I have a whole day to finish laundry, pack for Disneyland, and generally hang with my girls...no stress. I think I'm gonna sleep really well!!

Well I've slept so much here I am wide awake at nearly midnight. I have my appointment tomorrow at 9 so it would be nice to sleep before then, but hey if I'm all crippled up, the dr needs to see that too. Just makes it harder for me to get there.

I have had a pretty decent evening. I suspect raising the temp from 61 to 70 in the house helped but I can't afford to do that everyday. Took it pretty easy though. Stayed bundled up on the bed, scraped a little, napped a little, made dinner, and repeat.

Finally loaded some of the pages I've finished. So I'm going to dump all of them on you at once.

Hi ladies!!!

I scanned all of the chatter, I hadn't been online in a couple of days. My sister is gone to my Mom & Dad's place for a few days, so things here are a bit calmer again. I'm really glad that she came in to visit, but she makes my house so much louder, she's always upset about something and she is on her cellphone and texting so much that the girls finally said something about it. As an adult, you know that you are excessive with the phone when teenagers complain about it. It actually is annoying, I just tune it out though and revert back to my life motto...it's not that deep.

I still have a half finished LO on my desk that I need to get done...maybe I'll have time tonight.

Debi - I hope that you are out of pain soon...that sounds terrible. I'm glad that your ex was a semi-decent human being and brought the boys home for you.

Well, I have to get dinner in the crock pot and get out of here.

Have a happy day!!!!

Good morning everyone,

Actually, it's not really morning yet (here). It's only 4:30 and I can't get back to sleep!

MICHELLE -- last night when I started my post, you had not posted. So I missed that you said "good morning" while I was saying "good night". So Kyle is not just starting a new school, he's starting "real" school! That was a very stoic reaction for a 4 year old!! I have girls; I don't think we'll see stoic for quite some time. Though I hold out hope it will happen eventually since half of their parenting team is English.

DEBI - I hope your doc has a way to help with the pain. Is there anything that gives immediate relief? Pain meds of any kind?

TINA -- Your description of your sister made me but also made me We have rules in our house about mobile phones (phones in general, really) to avoid that very scenario...and yes, I ask my guests to adhere to our rules (please don't text while we are having a conversation...especially if conversation involves my children). I think I want to write a new chapter for "Emily Post" that covers mobile phone etiquette!!!

OK, I am going to try to go back to sleep now. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

~ Barbara

Day isn't starting quite like we planned. Boys forgot to set their alarm and woke up at 7:06...they need to be out of the house by 7:15. I, for a change, didn't wake up either. So no lunches made. I woke up around 3:30 a.m. took some ibuprofen and crashed, I guess. So we're up and scurrying. A little disorienting for sure.

Scrambling to get all my needed paperwork together and get dressed for my appointment. And of course, it's 29 degrees outside so I'll have to defrost the car. Oy.

But I'm looking forward to going to doctor's. I so want to get back on my meds and reclaim my life.

Off to get ready.

How was your Doc appt, DEBI?

I am having such a lovely day. Doing laundry and playing with the girls. Now they are napping. BOTH of them. Aaaaaaaah. A quiet, unrushed, peaceful moment. Thought I'd share with you all.

Evening all. Not much going on here, just popping on to say hi.

Cellphones annoy me too but I admit I use mine way more than I should. I literally have a mini panic attack when I don't have it nearby. I don't, however, use it during conversations, that's just like telling the person that you're talking to that they're not important.

I find it annoying when people can't put their cellphones down at dinner, while walking, while driving...but then again I'm guilty of having mine out of battery most of the time. I rarely use mine and only to contact my kids.

BARBARA thanks for asking. The doctor's appointment was a bit frustrating. First due to very cold weather and heavy fog the freeway was at a standstill and what normally would be a quick 10 minute commute took over 40 minutes making me late. But since I wasn't the only one, they did take that in stride, but I have to admit I was stressed out as I didn't want to have to reschedule my appointment and wait any longer than necessary.

I met with the doctor (I do miss my old RA though as she was much more a "hands-on let's check you out, how are you doing, can you do this" kind of a doctor). This guy, is sweet enough, Asian and soft spoken, but he won't touch you, and kind of has the approach of "why are you here, what do you want me to know". He doesn't ask questions and I find it hard to make sure he understands what I want to convey. I feel I could do an appt over the phone with him just as easy as in person as he never really looks at my joints, range of motion, etc.

The good news is, we got the medication application faxed and now I need to wait minimally 5 business days to see if they accept me into the program. Since I've been in the program before I'm hoping there isn't a problem.

But I ran into difficulty filing for financial assistance with the hospital/clinic as they have changed their application format. The person I talked with was very unpleasant. Why is it that the people who handle cases of need often are rude and abrupt? Despite the fact that I was turned down a few years ago for DSHS medical and told to sign up for State medical (which I've been sitting on waitlist for ever since) I now have to go back to DSHS and refile for medical and get an official letter of rejection before they will consider if they can assist me with my medical costs for my care at the hospital/clinic. That means sitting in the DSHS office for 2-3 hours and dealing with one more person who treats me like I'm low-life. I wasn't up to that today. I was exhausted when I got home 2 1/2 hours later as it was.

I know many of you are shaking your head, don't understand what it is like to be unemployed, uninsured with a medical condition that severely limits you being able to work. It is humbling to have to ask for help, but it is also necessary. I would take a job with health insurance in a nano second if one was offered but for now this is my lot in life and despite the hoops, and being treated like you are less than human by many, I am grateful there is some help out there even if sometimes it feels impossible to get. I hope you don't judge me because of it.

I spent the rest of the day napping as it took all I had to go to the doctor. He didn't give me anything to deal with the pain in the interim but he gave me a prescription, which might be too expensive, to try to help me combat the dry mouth issues. I have to wait to see if I get my meds and then go on it for a couple months, then report back for another appointment with RA doc to see if symptoms are improving and whether a new protocol will be necessary to add. Unfortunately any med I can take in conjuction with the current one would end up being an out of pocket expense...so hoping it won't be too prohibitive. So I'm still in a waiting protocol...

Wish it were summer. The warmer weather definitely makes it easier with RA than the freezing cold we're experiencing right now.

I need to get up and fix something for dinner for the kids. Then I'm probably going to attempt to do the dishes and head back to bed. It's not even enjoyable to sit up and watch tv at the moment.

Speaking of tv, I'm considering ending our limited basic cable subscription and going with a monthly Netflix or HuluPlus which is less money. Anyone subscribe to either? What do you think? I understand you can connect it through your Xbox360. Is that true? Is it hard to do?

Also what is the best way to hunt for car/house insurance? I need to combine them to the same company to save money currently I have them at different companies)and see if I can get a lower payment? Anyone have a good plan they like? suggested companies to try? Do I have to call each one separately?

I'm all about reducing my pay out right now. Every little bit helps.

NYLENE how did the banquet go? Bet you are exhausted after all the prep.

Later,
Debi

Hang in there, DEBI. Sorry it was such a bad day. It's all gonna work out, I know it is.

Well, I'm all ready to go and planning to get a good night's sleep. I hope everyone is staying warm (it was a lot warmer here today) and SCRAPPING!!

Happy Birthday Tammy!!!! Hope it's a great one and you get a full year without any injuries!!!

Barb, have fun today and make sure you go back and post on your FB page "thanks to (make up a name) for watching my house while we're gone" because I keep reading in the news about people that have their homes broken into by having a friend of a friend see on FB that they're going to be gone.

Debi, bummer about the finances. Seems to me you should be able to qualify for disability but then again the people that need it have the hardest time getting it. Shame you're just not lazy and morbidly obese--you'd get it easily. At least that is what we find here.

Off to Madisonville today to work in the clinic. Hurray for no drama!!! The Clinic Manager at their clinic said she'd get me a tech to help me today but Doc and I aren't holding our breaths. He said as long as I was there we'd get through. Love that guy!

Good Morning Sweet Peas!

Happy Friday! This week has gone by crazy fast. I've been pulling long days and they are packed out busy, so I'm looking forward to the weekend. I'm technically off work on Monday too, we are closed for MLK day, I did schedule a lunch meeting, so I'll have to go in for that, but otherwise I have a long weekend...yay!

Debi - I feel for you, being sick and in pain stinks. I agree that people in your situation get treated very poorly by the system that is supposed to help them, people are treated like they are less than human so often in those situations. I'm sorry that you are experiencing that. I hope you get the dry mouth symptoms under control too, that is not fun, I had to take meds that caused that a long time ago and you wouldn't think it's that deep unless you've experienced it, but it can make your mouth hurt all the time, which is not fun. I hope they get your meds approved.

Happy Birthday Tammy!!! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Be well and have a nice day today!

TAMMY!!!!!!

Debi...I sure hope you get your med approved, it sticks how poorly people get treated who need help the most. Then there are those who just get into this country know the system and live on disability all their lives. It boils my blood. My ex who is bi-polar and no one hires him because of the background check. has tried on his own to get disability and always gets denied. His cousin who came from Cuba (yes those are the worse I'm embarrassed to say since I'm a Cuban) just 5 years ago, lives on food stamps, welfare has medicaid and his disability for an unknown to us mental condition was approved. I cant even get into it because it makes me sick. Well I just hope you are feeling better soon and you get the treatment you deserve. (((HUGS)))

Tina...You sure sound busy. How's O doing in school? Lately I have been missing Daniel so much. I just can't shake it.

Well have to get going to work. I really need to talk to him because when I got hired it was just for 16 hours, and now I'm working almost 40 hours and he changes my schedule daily. I don't want to work that little but I need to have a fix schedule and need to have either one day off or work half a day two times a week. Everything in the house just gets too behind.

Have a wonderful day,

morning girls -

Tammy - Happy Birthday! I hope it's an absolutely wonderful day for you. You deserve the best

DEBI - I sooooo understand what you're going through, at least the financial part. Dealing with people who work in that situation are clueless when it comes to what you're going through; heck, they have a government job we went through a lot with Steven, believe me...we had to pay most of his supplies, RX, nurses, doctors, etc. for a very, very long time as when Larry had lost his job, we had lost the insurance on him. It was very frustrating. I had alawys thought that if you were blind you were automatically considered disabled, but if you're a child, it depends on your parents income...well, when you're that disabled, our income shouldn't have had any effect on it at all, especially the insurance. I really, really, really hope things turn around for you. My heart goes out to you. Stay strong.

BARB - thanks for those sweet words. We are off again today, and we got out early yesterday, but all I did yesterday was read when I got home, LOL, but I'm almost finished with this series of books, so maybe I'll feel the need to scrap when I'm done. Seems like I can't find it in me to do both...no balance...LOL...and that's what I'm striving for this year.

Anyway, I am going to go finish this book, throw some more laundry in, and try to at least get a little something done before going into J's.
I couldn't get the other night off either as I had hoped; we had a new girl closing and my boss felt it necessary that I be there, although it was rather slow comparatively speaking. This weather has kept a lot of people inside, which is a good thing actually, safety-wise. Kevin couldn't get the truck doors open this morning; they were frozen shut Meagan was supposed to be in at 5:30. We told her to tell them last night that that wasn't going to happen. So she had to be in by 9, which was way more comforting to us. These roads around here, especially the one we live on, are very dangerous in bad weather.

anyway, I'll be back later...can't believe I have such a long weekend, even though I have to spend most of it at J's; LOL.

thanks for the bday wishes. I appreciate them!!

Debi- hugs and nothing but sincere empathy and grace go out to you from me. The system is so hard to navigate and somehow the dishonest or scammers come out ahead.
Keep the faith and head held up, it'll all work out. That's been my motto lately.

Theresa- have a good day at work.

Barbara- good luck on your run this weekend!! Go get 'em!!

Good morning!

THERESA -- GOOD IDEA!!

Just checking in before I load up the car.

I have a few errands to run before we leave...and I'm taking Julia to school this morning. She's having a really bad week and I sooooooo wish I had planned this race weekend as 'adults only.' *sigh* Hopefully her morning will be enjoyable for her if she is with her friends. If she's here with me, it will be a very bad morning.

OK, I'm off to post on FB -- something that makes it sound like my house will be occupied.

I don't usually ask for donations. But if you've ever wanted to try digi, or know someone that does, here's a fantastic opportunity to acquire a large stash of excellent product for a mere $20 which gets donated to one of our own digi designer's(Mye DeLeon)'s baby son, Alphonse's desperately needed heart surgery. I'm linking a page to the collaboration kit which includes a link to the baby's story. If you wish to purchase this kit or donate to this cause, there is one little sweet baby who will owe his life to you.

Debi, I posted the link to the blog on my FB page too so maybe that will help bring in some more cash. Make sure that her Mom checks with the financial counselors at the hospital. That surgery is vital and they can help with the cost.

Debi, I was so sad to read about your trip to the Dr. I was hoping you would come home with some miracle help! I am sorry that you have been treated so poorly. I have a hard time understanding why some people put themselves above others. We are all just one catastrophe away from losing independence and being dependent on someone or something. You are in my prayers. I hope things go through quickly for you so that you can get some relief.

The Eagle Recognition and our Pack Meeting are over and I feel like I can breathe now. It's always so much more work than I anticipate. I guess I should get my Christmas stuff put away now!

I have finished a couple of layouts between working on Scout events.

I'll try to scan and post the other 2 later. Sending hugs to all of you!

Hello, I'm still here. I can't believe how fast January is going! I was beautiful today 50 degrees. The freeze is coming though. I see I have a lot of posts to read and layouts to check out. No where to go this weekend and I'm excited about it. I may not even leave the house except for church.

Later all!

Happy Happy Birthday Tammy! Hope your wrist is healing and you are enjoying your day.

Theresa I put a ticket in earlier this evening too, glad they fixed it.

Melanie Nice to see you stop by. Stay warm.

Barb I have a friend who is running the Tinkerbell Half Marathon this weekend too. It's her first. Her husband runs Marathons and Triatholons all the time and even her Kindergartner and 2nd grader do kid triathalons. Good luck to you and hubby.

Tina Hooray for a long weekend. I hope you get to relax a little.

Debi Sorry you're having a rough time. It's a shame when people who genuinely need help can't get it and people who are just plain lazy seem to skate right on through. Try to stay warm. I thought I was the only one who kept my house at 60 in the winter. Glad I'm not alone. Over the weekend when are temps were in the 30's for the high's Alison got out the heating pad and was sitting on it wrapped in a blanket. I should have taken a picture and scrapped it. Regarding Netflix and HuluPlus, we have Netflix and the girls love it. We get it through the Wii, if you don't already have a Xbox Live paid account, you will need to set up one to get Netflix or you can buy a Roku box at Target/Walmart. I know a few people who have discontinued cable service and are completely happy. I would do it in a heartbeat if my mom wasn't with us. She watches a lot of TV in her room.

Well everyone I've got to go to bed. Have a good night all.

LOL the techy folks must really like us Chatty Peas because I wasted no time in sending a ticket in today too when I couldn't get to the thread. Wonder why we have so much trouble. Always is the same error too but no idea what causes it. And NO I'm NOT the THREAD KILLER; at least I don't think so.. I haven't killed any other threads...

VALERIE we have an XBOX360. The kids each have a live account...can I use one of theirs to set up Netflix? I really don't want to have to pay for another account if I don't have to. I'm noticing the boys rarely watch tv (although they do like the SIMPSON's) and I watch so few shows that it makes sense to watch them on Hulu on my laptop as I'm not tied into having to watch them at a particular time. So perhaps we'll give Netflixs a shot.

I did 2 LOs today for CHA#3...use 3 trends

Ultimate Unleashed

Jazz at its best

Thank you all for your kind and understanding words concerning my health issues and finances. NYLENE is correct when she said we all are only a step away from dependence; I never thought I'd be walking in these shoes either but for now, I am...although more shuffling than walking. In time, this too shall pass.

I also want to SHOUT OUT a huge thank you to my "secret imaginary friend" who sent me a heated throw today. It brought me to tears to think anyone cared that much to be so generous. And it's wonderful. I've sat comfortably under it this evening while I scrapped, and stayed nice and cozy. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.

Ok I think since the kids went to bed without me asking them too, and early too I might as well follow suit. Catch you all tomorrow...hope the thread is up and running.

Debi

Morning, the old body doesn't understand it's Saturday so I've been awake almost an hour.

Debi, how wonderful that someone sent you a heated throw. I bought one for Aunt Joyce in the past and she says it's wonderful to help her bones feel better. (Wasn't me that sent it though before you think I had the good heart to do it, wish I had though, very lovely gesture! Our Imaginary Friends are the best!!!!)

BTW, I purchased that kit for the baby's heart fun and it is HUGE. Took me hours to upload all the elements. Even if it wasn't for a good cause, the $20 is a great deal. I had to make one file folder in my PSE just to put all the different elements. Tons of premade pages too, just pop in a photo and go. I think there is enough in one section to actually complete a whole album with just pop in photo pages. Perfect if you want to upload to one of those bound book sites.

As for who is the thread killer, LOL, tech people are watching and want us to report any issues so they can track the issue. According to Matt, the tech guy that I've peamailed back and forth with, our thread is the only problem (may be the only one he knows about). They'll eventually figure out what's going on I'm sure. All we know now is that it's something that happens late at night and involves a keystroke that messes with the server's mind, LOL. Last month's thread, he said, looks like it was deleted before they could determine the cause. If it keeps happening just to our thread then it will certainly look like someone either has a virus (without realizing it) and is trying to post or one of the Trolls has figured out a way to cause havoc.

Tammy, hope the hand is doing better.

Tina, glad your new job has started out so well.

Barb, good luck today.

Nylene, glad your Scout ceremony was a success. Austin is going Scouts now and just loves it.

Diana, stick to your guns on not working more hours if you don't have to. Bosses will take advantage of you as we both know so well.

Going to be in the high 50's today and then drop back down to 12 by Monday so we're going to get out and enjoy it while we can. Randy's off today so we're headed to Louisville. He bought me a stamp at Archivers that I already have so I'm going to exchange it and maybe just spend some of that Christmas money. Not that I need anything else, can't find the top of my desk now!

Have a great day all.

Hello all I actually have a few minutes to stop in and chat. I always read what is going on in the morning before work but can never seem to get back to comment. Things are so crazy around here with working 10 hours a day and going to school three nights a week but I know that I need to do it if I want to get out of the factory and into a career that I will enjoy. We did have some good news this week we finally were able to refinance our house. It is going to make a huge impact on getting some of our bills paid off so that we can get a bigger house. I'm also really excited cause I get to see my little brother today, haven't seen him in over 6 months but he is being stationed in Florida now so it won't be as bad to see him when he can get time off.

Debi- I really hope that you get the help that you need. I agree with everyone else that those that really need the help have way to hard of a time getting it and the people who are faking seem to get it as soon as they apply. We are also getting rid of our cable and just going with Netflix and Hulu, my Sister-in-law does it and says it is awesome.

Tammy- hope you had a wonderful birthday

Theresa- Have a good day with Randy, and we always "need" more stuff

Nylene- So glad that your scout stuff went well, I can only imagine what goes into all that.

Barb- good luck in your run this weekend.

Hubby and I are looking for someplace to take our vacation this year and I am at a loss for what to do. There are so many places that I haven't been in the U.S. anyone have a suggestion. Well gotta run I have homework calling my name yuck.

Oh before I forget here are a couple more LOs that I did earlier this month and forgot to post and yes they are more baby LOs

Happy Birthday for yesterday, Tammy!

I hope it was a wonderful day and you got spoilt rotten.

Debi- I feel for you too. It is so hard without medical insurance. We are in the process of getting Amanda registered for, firstly, un-employment benefits and then for a disability pension. They say it will take up to 8 months! She needs help NOW! And they want her to go in personally. She's paralysed down the right side and sitting there for the whole day just isn't an option. So I know what you mean about unfriendly service to those that need it most. I hope you get registered for the program soon. Five days sounds like a long time, but it will pass. (((HUGS)))

Theresa - Haha, at least I know it wasn't me this time either, as I haven't been on for a few days. My mornings are your late nights, so I was worried there. Glad they got it sorted and hope it doesn't happen again. They need to look after us as we do a lot of posting here and on the gallery

Barbara - How did the race go? I think it's amazing that you are doing a half marathon. No ways I'd even contemplate it. Yeah, Kyle is only 4 but he has an old soul. He has always been very independant and, even as a baby, people would comment on how wise his outlook on the world seems. Maybe it has to do with the fact that he is the youngest? Hmm, I'd have got the bride's permission before posting pictures, but I'm sure she would say yes. Just my 2c.

Tina - had to laugh about your sister. What a great example for the teens to see how excessive use is not pleasant for those around you. Not what you would have wanted her to do but it will make them think twice after seeing first hand what it feels/looks like.

I'm trying to load my photos of my Los to my computer but my card reader isn't reading the memory stick. Ugh! It's an old Sony camera that still has the adaptor for the card. If it goes I can't replace it and will have to buy a new camera. Maybe it is the card reader itself. Just as I want to get my pages loaded to enter the CHA challenges...

Hi to everyone else!

Wow, I am so behind on this thread! I've been spending most of my free time this week working on the CHA challenges, I have 9 done and hope to finish the 10th one today or tomorrow. I will be very impressed with myself if I get 10 pages done in one week!

Sounds like we had a lot of cold and sick Peas this week. I hope everyone is feeling better and warming up! I know it was about 20 degrees here yesterday so I didn't leave the house. SO and I were planning to see a movie, but we decided to go today instead because it's about 40 degrees now (we usually walk to our movie theater).

Tammy, happy belated birthday!

Unfortunately I have to get ready to run some errands, so I'm going to check out the LOs and then head out. I'll probably come back later. Have a good day, all!

THERESA I know, that AN INNOCENT HEART kit is humongous....shows how many designers are supporting Mye DeLeon as she is preparing for her son's surgery. I bought it too. I put it all in one folder but haven't taken the time to unzip and dread (a bit) having to tag it all but what an amazing collaboration of support, huh? Thank you for supporting the cause.

The heated throw made my night so much nicer. I actually slept for 3-4 hours at a shot without waking for a change and was soooo much more comfortable. THANK YOU AGAIN "secret imaginary friend". I'm all wrapped up in it now too. I many never leave my bed...LOL

Ok we have a lot to accomplish today, the boys and I. Need to catch up on laundry, get their room cleaned so we can move (I use "we" loosely meaning "THEM" some furnture around to move the tv/XBOX system into their room. Then I need to figure out how to subscribe and set up NETFLICKS through XBOX. If we accomplish that and I have any energy left (I'm sure I'll be napping in between)...I'd like to start taking down Christmas starting with the tree (again loosely using "I" I get to supervise more than do.

I'd love to work on CHA Challenges today if I have the energy. I still have 4 to do I believe.

I'm just so happy to feel a little relief from the excruciating pain.

Catch you later.

Well the thread killer struck again. Couldn't open it this morning, same error. I sent a ticket in around 7:30 a.m. and this is the first time I've checked since so who knows if they fixed it or if it resolved on it's own. Either way, we're back.

I think I fixed it! I got the weird error, but I still clicked "reply." Then I got the "502 bad gateway" message, but I refreshed a couple of times and the reply box came up. My reply posted, and the thread seemed to be back up after that.

Just lost my post! Dang it.

SO MONICA B does that mean you ARE the THREAD KILLER and REVIVOR too? I'll have to try that next time (error, reply, bad gateway, retry...right?) Several of us sent in trouble tickets this morning so it could be coincidence, but there is always hope.

Trying to finish CHA challenges. I did one last night, 3 this morning, and have one left. Here's what I've done so far.

FOR CHA#7

the NEW HEATED THROW has been a godsend. It's allowed me to get more sleep, better sleep and I feel a whole lot perkier today even if still hobbled. THANK YOU I LOVE IT!

Ok I have to go eat, fold some laundry and stretch a bit. Get your scrap on!

No Debi it still looks like you're in the running for being the thread killer since you were the last one to be able to get on last night, LOL.

Monica, hurray for you possibly fixing the thread. Next time I log on and see the error I'll try that.

Marking my Praise spot!

Hmmm interesting, although I didn't get on last night, but rather yesterday morning. I always post then check my post and haven't gotten the error then. It seems if I can get back into the thread after I post, that I wouldn't be the one tripping up the thread, but who knows. I hope it's not me but rather a glitch that we can figure out. I don't do anything different here than on other threads, and so far they haven't froze up...very puzzling.

So here's to us staying open.

Looks like the last one to post before the thread died was you Debbie, because I came to post around 3:00pm yesterday and it was already dead.
I sent a ticket also, but never heard back. I'm just glad we are up. I miss my scrappy friends. Although I really believe is a glitch here because Debi post all the time and only sometime those something happen to the thread. We just have to see.

I scrapped all day yesterday will post them soon. It was a 7 LO day but I can only post 6.

Finally went to the movie today but we saw This is 40...Too many bad words, other than that it was entertaining. I just don't understand why they need to use so many bad words to get a point across. One may be funny 20 not so funny. just my opinion.

Hope everyone has a great evening.

Oh yay! The thread's fixed. Tried to get on last night and it was down. Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. The weather is gorgeous this weekend. My husband's aunt's 80th birthday party was yesterday and we spent the day at one of his cousins house it was a great day to be outside.

Debi You need to sign up for a Netflix account on your laptop then once you have the account set up you can set it up through Xbox Live. I think it's pretty straightforward. I'm not sure with the Xbox as we use ours through the Wii. We only have the one free Xbox Live account. For the Wii I had to sign into the Netflix account on the laptop and get a code to enter in the Wii.

Monica B Looks like you've been busy.

Theresa I couldn't get on the thread last night. I sent a ticket in too. I don't get a bad gateway error I get an unexpected end of file and no way to try replying. I wonder if we all get the same error? I send in a screen shot with the service ticket so hopefully it all get's figured out.

Well I need to get off here and get this house picked up and figure out what we are eating for dinner. Have a nice day all.
