well I'm going to keep posting and hope I don't kill it. LOL (Hey, who's playing that evil music?)

Another two from me, although not for any challenges. They didn't lend themselves to add much product. I'm going through each month's files of 2012 and trying to scrap photos I missed. Up to June now. I thought I had done better in keeping up than it turns out I did...oh well. Lots to keep me occupied now while I'm bed-bound.

LOL Debi, I don't think it was you! I am wondering if it's one person that is causing it though. Perhaps they have a virus in their computer and don't realize it. It would have to be someone that doesn't post often.

This is the error I received:

This thread has an error where it says
"Microsoft OLEDB Persistence Provider error '80004005'

A string literal was not closed.

/db_mb.asp, line 327"

http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/mb.asp?cmd=display&forum_id=10&thread_id=3212724

I don't know if I could try to hit reply or not, never occured to me to try.

Got the groceries in, made Randy his Cabbage Soup and almost have all the laundry done. Also started working on the den. It's a mess!!!

Randy's oldest brother called. He has prostate cancer and was supposed to have surgery tomorrow to have his prostate removed. They had to cancel it because he has only got about 20% heart function and they don't think he's survive the surgery. Not a good outcome. They're going to try and get him cleared for radiation. His prognosis sounds grim either way. Even if he can beat the prostate cancer he'll need a new heart. He's 64 I think. He's not close to the family so I'm not sure how old he is,somewhere in that range. He asked for us to keep him in our prayers.

To change the subject, saw on FB that Barb finished her race! Whoo hoo, congrats to her!!!!

Going to get off here and spend the next 20 minutes cleaning before Once Upon a Time and Downton Abbey comes on.

I'm not sure what's with the error... you'd think the tech guys at Two Peas could figure it out. I did notice that Debi was the last one able to post. It wasn't me because I haven't even attempted to post on here yesterday or until I did today!

Boy just when I think I'm on a roll, DIANA and MONICA B have to post ALL their LOs to keep me in my place. Way to show me up girls.

I've been scrapping all day. Here's another one, although NOT for any challenges. Still haven't done CHA#10 but I haven't found photos yet that lend themselves to 10 different products. Oh well.

Last one for today. I'm getting tired. Bottom is getting sore from sitting so long. LOL Not bad though, managed to complete 8 LOs today but never did do CHA#10. Oh well. Filling in 2012 nicely though.

Thinking I might jump in to this to use the challenges to keep myself honest to finish some Lo's! I hardly have time to scrap since my hubs is out of town till Friday and I have two little ones- but I'm at work tomorrow with time in between shows to get something done!

Hi everyone. I'm new and I'm VERY excited to find this group! I'll warn you now - I tend to be VERY chatty! I've already spent some time reading past posts and looking at all the wonderful pages you've posted.

Let me introduce myself. I am Cathy, I live in Conn. with my husband of 3 years, Mark, and all our pets. We have 9 cats and 4 pet rats. No kids, our pets are our children! Although we've only been married for 3 years, we've been together for 27 years and it's been wonderful.

I am a former RN, a former Blackjack dealer and a former lots-of-other-jobs. Currently I am a Lady of Leisure and VERY happy about that! I do work occasionally as a Professional Organizer, a job that I just LOVE.

I am fairly new to scrapbooking and I don't do anything digital, at least not yet. I just love the pretty papers and embelishments too much! I finished my wedding scrapbook (in time for our 3rd anniversary!) and am now working on a book about all the pets I've owned in my life. My pets mean everything to me!

I am also new to this kind of forum. I need to learn how to put a picture up, how to add a signiture, how to 'quote' other posts I want to reply to... things like that. I'm sure I'll catch on - eventually!

Anyway, I'm SO glad I found this group and I hope to become friends with all of you!

Morning all! Had to get up earlier this morning, a gal at church's Dad died and the funeral is today. They are having a meal at the church after the funeral and they're expecting about 125 people and need lots of food. I volunteered to bring something and somehow got stuck with Deviled Eggs. Not sure how I agreed to it because I told the person in charge that I needed something I could make yesterday and drop off last night. Only making a dozen and I've got the eggs boiled but couldn't put them together til this morning then I have to take them by the church, fight with the locked doors and still get to work by 8. And yes, I am goofing off on the internet instead of doing anything, LOL!

Welcome Cathy, we love chatty!

Good morning, Welcome Cathy.

Theresa...hope you make it on time.

I've been up since 5:30 why because I did not want to iron dh shirt last night and he had to get up for work at 5. I did a load of laundry and put beef stew in the crock pot.

I think I'm going to take a quick shower and a nap. I don't have to leave for work until 8:30. In the old days I would scrap a page, but my eyes are closing so better get off here and take a little nap.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Well, after taking a break since Friday, I am back and way behind

*Both* my kids were home from school sick on Friday. Although Erin was much better, but her brother was up in the middle of the night with severe ear pain. So I just kept her home to have a little more time to recuperate. Turns out Evan did have a pretty bad ear infection!
I guess from all the crud he had in his system last week. He is much better today after getting started on a dose of antibiotics!
And they are both off again for the holiday
I think between the two of them they have missed a total of seven days of school since coming back from winter break!!

Cellphones annoy me too but I admit I use mine way more than I should. I literally have a mini panic attack when I don't have it nearby. I don't, however, use it during conversations, that's just like telling the person that you're talking to that they're not important.

Theresa - I feel the exact same way. I love my phone, but try to never, ever use it when talking with others unless it is an emergency.

Debi - I am so sorry to hear about all the frustrations you are dealing with your RA, medications and insurance. It just doesn't seem fair I hope you are able to get the financial help you need and get some relief! Medications are so darn expensive!!!
Oh and we have Netflix. We do use the live streaming through the Wii. I am not sure how difficult it was to set up because my husband handled it. But it is great for watching kid's shows. Also some new release movies and tv shows. I stared watching Once Upon a Time and Downtown Abbey. They don't always have all the seasons though. But you can order the DVD's as an extra option.

Tammy - sorry I missed wishing you a happy birthday. Hope it was a good one!!

Welcome, Summerbellies and Cathy! I am new this month as well, and have enjoyed slowly getting to know everyone
Summerbellies - did you used to post to the Pub board, because your username looks familiar?

Also, I created a layout using Toni's sketch challenge!
Evan's First Fish

I have a lot of praising to catch up on, so I will get to that today after having breakfast with the kids!

Good Morning Sweet Peas!

I'm so happy that our thread is up & working again. I don't know what's up with it.

Life here is going fine, my sister is still here. She is leaving today to go spend a few days with my Mom & Dad, but will be back next weekend. She has evidently decided to stay longer...her husband is a truck driver, so instead of flying home on the flight that I bought, she is going to wait until he has a run that takes him through Indiana...don't ask...

Anywho, all is well in my world. I technically have today off work, the office is closed, but I'm having a lunch meeting with a funder anyway and am working on writing a contract proposal and a grant.

Monica - There are several things that I really like from this CHA. I love the spring lines with happy colors! I like the new Amy Tangerine line, Allison Kreft's Sweet Notes line for Websters Pages (I never like their stuff, but I really like the lines that she made), the new vellums & diecut cards in the Dear Lizzy line, Color Me Happy by Glitz, some of the new stencils that are out by Crafters Workshop and Claudine Helmuth and some of the new Crate Paper line by Maggie Holmes. I usually do most of my buying out of this release since I don't like Fall colors or the themed stuff that will come out after the summer CHA show. What did you like???

Summerbellies - Welcome to our group!!! Introduce yourself and if you are comfortable with it, put your name on your posts for a bit until we learn it.

Cathy - No problem with being excessively chatty here, we like it! Too bad you are so far away, I would love professional organization services. I'm organized by nature, but I lack the time to do it.
Your house sounds like it is full of furbabies. We have a couple of other members of our group that love critters too. Welcome!

Mary Jo - I hope your kids are on the mend soon! Have sick kids is sooo not fun. I hope you are able to find some time to have some time to scrap.

Diana - Olivia is doing well at school. She is finishing up her Winter Term class and is getting ready to go through rush next week. I think she has seemed really homesick since a bit after Thanksgiving when she found out that her bff on campus wasn't going to return to school for the second semester. She was home for Christmas, came home a couple of weeks ago for a long weekend and called yesterday saying that she wants to bring a friend home this weekend. She doesn't stay gone long enough for us to miss her... . I'm sure I would feel just like you do if she were gone far away, I don't know how I would cope with that either...hugs to you!

Well, I need to get moving. Have a great day ladies!

Sure!

I'm Summer from Orlando fla- I'm 36 married to Dh for 13 years and momma to two crazies Caden who is 7- Paige who will be 4 on the 30th this month!

I work at Universal as an actress and singer and also perform at a dinner show in Kissimmee called Capone's. My Dh is a show director for universal and going out of town a LOT this year but...the upside is his guilt is allowing me to purchase lots of scrap stuff!

I used to be a fixture on these boards back in the day: but got burned out on scrapping and took a FIVE year break...lol but I'm back! Yay!!!

WELCOME SUMMER, CATHY . We love having new people.

SUMMER your job sounds amazing. How fun. My twins' birthday is the 29th of this month--they will be 14. No worries. I took a 4 year break from scrapping after my divorce. Life happens, pictures wait.

CATHY I may end up calling you CHATTY CATHY if you live up to your threats, I mean, promise. I had a CHATTY Baby doll when I was a kid. I just loved that you could pull a string and make her talk.

MARYJO glad you made it back. Sorry you are dealing with sick kiddos.

THERESA I'd be hard pressed to make devil eggs early in the morning. How did you ever agree to that?

I overdid yesterday with sitting so long and scrapping...using my hands and arms in the same repetitive motions. I'm very sore this morning in my shoulders; didn't sleep quite so well last night. Wrapped up in heated throw over my shoulders hoping it will ease the muscles. But I don't think I'll scrap today.

Maybe I'll go back to bed and grab another hour before the boys get up.

Happy to see the thead is still alive this morning. Hope it lasts.

Debi - I hope you feel better soon!!!

Summer - I can empathize. My husband works in construction and is out of town a lot! Right now he is running a project that is four hours away. So he is gone most weeks for several days at a time. We are kind of used to it though. He had a six month job in Canada in 2011. And then prior to that a three year job that had him gone several times a week.

Happy Monday! The girls have the day off for MLK day. Toby's grandparents are in town and want to take the girls shopping so we will be heading out in a little bit to meet them.

Welcome Summer and Cathy!

Summer I just got back into scrapping about a year and a half ago myself after a 6 year break. Just didn't have the time once the girls were born and working full time. This group is definately a good way to stay motivated to scrap.

Mary Jo Hope your kids are feeling better.

Cathy We like chatty around here.

Diana I was up at 5am this morning because I forgot to turn off my alarm. Oh well I did have to take hubby to work so I could have the van today. Hope you got a little nap in before work.

Theresa Making deviled eggs before work and playing on the internet. Wow! Hope you have a good day!

Toni Glad to see you are getting so much scrapping done this month. Here's to keeping the mojo going. I have been scrapping a little. I have the sketch challenge almost done, just need to put a title on it and scan so I can post it.

Well I better get off this computer and get ready to go.

Hi Everyone and thanks for the friendly welcome. This seems to be a very active group - I love it! I will enjoy getting to know each of you.

Tammy, I understand that you had surgery on your hand - can you tell me what happened so I can commiserate with you?

Debi, I can't even imagine living with your type of pain. I SO hope that you find some relief, somewhere, somehow - and SOON.

I have a few questions...

Is there a spellcheck I can use? If not, oh PLEASE excuse my poor spelling!

Is there a way to contact a person privately?

What are the little round 'badges' by everyone's name?

The challenges that you are all doing - are those digital only? Can you explain those a bit to me?

That's enough for now, I can't learn TOO much all at once, my middle-aged brain won't take it all in!

For Christmas my husband gave me $100 gift card at Michael's, so the other day I happily spent $160 of it. LOL! I bought a big rolling tote plus another tote - and lots of papers and embelishments. I love embellishments so much, I'm one of those who buy the embellishment and then makes a page for it!

Anyway, it took hours to get everything packed and organized but I think that now I'm all set and can spend more time scrapping instead of looking for stuff.

I am lucky enough to have TWO monthy crops near me, plus the local Michael's is starting one next month. If it weren't for finding these crops, I probably would never have gotten started with scrapbooking, even though I've been interested in doing it for years.

It sounds as if you all lead extremely busy lives. I hope all your kids get healthy and that today is a good day for everyone! Cathy McD

Hi all, I am so darn cold right now I don't know if I can really type that well. Right now the actual temp is 8 and it feels like -8 out and tomorrow is supposed to be colder. On top of that we are right on the edge of the Lake effect snow band that is hitting our area probably got at least 3 inches since 4 this morning. The good this is I don't have class tonight because of MLK day so I don't have to get on I-94 to go to school.

Tammy- good to see you hope that you are getting things healed up good.

Debi- that was so nice of some one to send you that throw, I'm sure it helps a ton.

Theresa- Deviled eggs that early in the morning does not sound really appealing.

Diana- I'm up at 3:30 almost every morning I hate it but it's the way like is right now.

Waving hello to Summer and Cathy hope you enjoy this group they are very supportive and just an over all great group of friends even when you can only check in once in a while.
Well I gotta get going and finish my homework while the baby is napping.

I'm waiting for the girls can't wait to see them.

Please say a little prayer for Daniel, he is still in the middle of that job offer you would think they are hiring the president, going on 2 weeks now. They are doing the background check, the manager saw him today and told him that soon she will be contacting him. In the beginning she kept telling him to hurry up that she needed him. It helps that he was bonded in dade county when he did the intership. He really needs this job, is free rent plus a salary plus scholarship...it's a win win so say a little prayer for him if you think of it please.

Jodi..I can't imagine walking up at 3:30 every morning. But I remember with Natalie I woke up at 4:00 every morning for almost 1 year.

Summer..DS (Daniel) is in UCF, loves it there this is his first year there he is 18 and I'm miss him terribly, I live in Miami so I'm really tempted to go, but I know I have to give him his space. Welcome to our group.

Kathy...You had me in stitching girl. That is so something I would do, get a gift card for $100 and spend $160 too funny.

Is there a spellcheck I can use? If not, oh PLEASE excuse my poor spelling! I don't know I use firefox Google Chrome and it does the spell check for me thank God.

Is there a way to contact a person privately? Yes, click on their peaname and then on the left hand side your are going to have a prompt saying send message or pea mail (can't look at it since two peas seems to be dwon) Just hit it and you will get a window to type your message.

What are the little round 'badges' by everyone's name? When you participate in different challenges you get them. they are two peas challenge also the big green one is our anniversary...

The challenges that you are all doing - are those digital only? Can you explain those a bit to me? NO you can do either digi or paper and you can post all your work here it does not have to be for a challenge, we love looking at everyone's work.

Hope this answers all your questions but let us know if you have any more.

Tammy..Glad you are feeling better.

Debbi..hope you are relaxing today. That is so wonderful that you got an electric blanket. Hope you use it and it helps your pain.

Tina..LOL on O not been gone long enough to miss her. It's taking a lot for me not to drive up to see him. I'm not sending him home for a while. His girlfrind is only 17 and I'm not trusting her too much these days kwim. So he is not seeing her again until she turns 18 just in case.

Got to go finish supper.....
Have a great day, lets see if this goes since it looks like two peas is down again..

Evening all. Got the Deviled Eggs made and delivered to the church and made it to work on time this morning. Very little traffic due to almost everything being closed for MLK Day. The meal for the family for after the funeral wasn't until lunch so the Deviled Eggs would be served then, not at breakfast. I couldn't take them at lunch because I would be an hour away at work and Randy was working. As for how I ended up agreeing to make them, who knows! I usually take something that can be taken the night before.

Baby Doc had a surgery this afternoon so they moved all the afternoon patients and I left at 3:30, whoo hoo (For the newbies, I'm a RN for the office of two Orthopaedic Surgeons and one of them I LOVE, I call him Doc when I'm talking about him and the other one has had trouble in the past with acting like a spoiled child so I call him Baby Doc--he's just been out of school for 3 years so in surgery realms he is a baby doc but that's not the reason I call him that.) Had to run into Lowes to get a new shower filter thingie but surprisingly that's all I left with and got home before it got dark, feels strange.

Cathy, sounds like Diana answered all your questions but if she missed anything or it wasn't clear just ask again. I use Mozilla Firefox as my server and if there is a misspelled word it has a red underline on it. I can right click on the word and it will give me options. Most of the words we use for scrappy stuff though will show as misspelled. Get close to whatever it is and we'll probably read it the way you meant it anyway, LOL.

The best tip I can give you is to open the reply button in a new window or tab (right click on the "reply" instead of just hitting reply) and this will let you scroll along the comments to be able to remember what you want to say. Sadly I didn't do that with this one and I'm already struggling, LOL.

Debi, I had that Chatty Cathy doll too, loved it. Heck, probably still have it in a box somewhere. I know I have the Baby Giggles and whatever that doll that had the hair that you could "grow" and then shorten with the button, think it was Chrissy, in a box in the closet.

Tina, I hope you can get the money back for your sister's airline ticket!!! Sounds like she's decided that your place makes a nice vacation.

Diana, said a prayer for DS. My prayer was that if the job is what God wants for Daniel then he'll get it. Sure sounds like a great job so I hope it is.

Cathy, LOL over the spending $160. Literally really did LOL. Even read it to my DH. Sounds like what happens to me with gift cards.

Summer, what exciting jobs you and DH both have. Had a friend that used to work for Universal years ago and he loved it. He did nursing for them though so I'm sure that was a much different thing that entertaining thousands of people over and over again. Glad you decided to come back to scrapping.

Tammy, glad you're doing okay. When is your next ortho appointment? (Not sure who asked but Tammy fell and broke her wrist in several places and it required surgery to repair. She's in a splint.)

Off to turn the heat up, it's not quite as cold as Jodi's place but my toes sure think it's cold. It was 65 Saturday and it's going to be between 9-12 tonight and 20 for the high tomorrow. Oh yeah, the Cuddles insulating stuff will be coming out to wear to work tomorrow.

Well, I did it! I posted my layout tonight, and I did Monica's challenge on it. I designed my own cut file and used it as a layer on my page over the bottom one. I randomly put a different paper in the holes. You can tell when you see the layout. I have the file on my blog if you'd like it to play with also.

I have been challenging myself to come up with new scrapping things. In this layout, I used the bakers twine around the top of the page, and I had only seen it wrapped like that on cards. I made a bow that I hadn't seen before, and I used a brad in the hole of a tag instead of string or ribbon. I also misted on Thickers that aren't supposed to be misted, and I got a really cool marbled look on the letter. There are more views of the page on my blog, I only posted one picture here.

I am going to get some praising in tonight before bed, and hopefully catch up in the morning!

my page here on 2peas

PRAISEMARK

From the look of lack of activity today, I'm assuming 2peas was down for awhile.

I decided to venture out of my room and visit my mom for awhile. did a short grocery stop and took her to the casino. The fog was thick as peasoup...couldn't see anything the whole way there and back. didn't win and I think it might have been a bit too much at once for me to do this activity. I was hurting and exhausted after a couple of hours. Happy to be back home, with some ibuprofen in me and under the warm blanket. I can feel my back muscles start to relax. Tomorrow I'm hoping I can take on DSHS about applying for medicaid... a potentially long day of sitting in very uncomfortable chairs.

No scrapping from me today. Heck I didn't even fix my kids food; they had to fend for themselves.

MICHELLE bsides my blood tests showing an elevated inflamation level (no surprise there) it also showed that I am B-12 deficient. My score is 121. Dr wanted to have me do shots but at $94/shot x 11 shots the first month out of pocket, I can't afford that. So dr sent a prescription for 1000mcg pills. I was wondering if the type that dissolve under you tongue are better than the type you swallow for absorption--do you know? Anyway could explain why I'm so exhausted among a few other symptoms I've been experiencing. I need to pick some up tomorrow while I'm out.

I'm turning into a little old lady...heading to bed before 9 p.m. LOL

Night all.

Hi Everyone, I've been reading about how you all wake up so early - I'm just the opposite, I usually am up all night and don't go to bed until 4, 5, 6, or even 7 AM. I'm a Nite Owl and always have been. I'm almost always washing my dishes at 2 AM. As a nurse and as a Blackjack dealer, I liked working the night shift. I'm just lucky that most days I don't have to get up at any particular time, so I can sleep in the mornings!

I think insomnia is like torture. Personally I sleep very well, but my dad suffered from insomnia all his life. It was so bad for him that when he died (very unexpectedly from a heart attack) one of my first thoughts was 'well, at least now he can rest.' I did a lot of research about it, trying to find something that would help him. So if any of you are interested in the tips that I found, just ask!

Theresa - the doll you mentioned, with the growing hair, was called Tressy (I think!). I had one too! I just loved playing with her and my mom made her some GORGEOUS outfits. In fact, I think she was better dressed than I was!

Just one question for this post - how do I post a photo, or a link to a photo?

I hope Daniel gets the job he wants. I hope all of you who are sick or have kids that are sick, feel better soon.

It's nearly 3 AM here and I just might start some scrapping! Have a nice day everyone!

Not as cold this morning as they thought, guess it could have warmed up a bit. It's 15. Not looking forward to getting out. Turned up the heat last night so the front part of the house is a warm 75.

The site was down again yesterday, numerous double posts on other threads and the views on layouts disappeared again. Funny to see some with more comments than they've had views.

Debi, good luck today.

Hi ladies,

I *did it*!! I finished the Tinker Bell Half Marathon on Sunday! It was really, REALLY fun...hard, too. I finished in just under 3 hours, I think...I haven't checked my official race time. My phone (MapMyRun) told me 2:59 but it also said I ran 14.1 (instead of 13.1) miles. Which is probably accurate because you have to do so much weaving around the walkers that you add a full mile to your distance!! But I didn't mind the walkers at all. It was just fun to be running through Disneyland.

MELANIE -- good to see you!!

CATHY D -- welcome. I am *impressed* that did a wedding scrapbook already! I've been married 7 years and have done about 5 pages for the wedding book.

TINA -- Olivia is Rushing?! Does she have recommendations for the house(s) she is interested in?! I can help. Is there a Theta chapter? I would check but I've forgotten where she goes to school. If Olivia would like a personal rec for Kappa Alpha Theta, please let me know ASAP!!

SUMMER -- Does your 5 year break included shopping for scrap stuff? I mean...I've gone a year without making a page, but I've never, in my 10 year SB career, gone more than a month without purchasing SOMETHING pretty & scrapbook related.

DIANA -- fingers crossed for Daniel. Keep us posted.

THERESA -- you are a good woman, making those eggs and getting them there that early in the morning. A good woman.

DEBI -- So sad you're hurting again. You seemed to be doing really well there for a couple of days. I hope you're able to deal with DSHS and that it goes well.

JODI -- YIKES! That is cold! Stay safe and keep that baby bundled up!!

TONI -- I was so excited to see you'd scrapped a page & posted. Good for you. Hope that mojo sticks around.

ANYONE: I always see people using a quote/excerpt from someone else's post and it appears in some indented format so you know its an excerpt...how do you do that?

We are still in Anaheim. We have been to the park 3 days (yes, after running 14 miles, I spent the rest of the day in Disneyland) and have tix for one more day. But Julia coughed during the night, and Charlotte is exhausted she will probably get sick. We bring them back to the room every day for their naps but the whole thing is so exciting/overwhelming that they don't rest very well. We'll see if we are going back to the park(s) today. (No one else is awake yet.) I would be fine sitting in the hotel hot tub!!

My legs are still a little sore. Even though I had a massage yesterday. It felt sooooooooo good and I figured Stuart (DH) and I deserved it after all our hard work.

OK...I'm gonna try to rest a little more while my girls will let me.

Glad to be back up here...thanks for all the good wishes. I think it worked!

good morning. today is the final prep day for our big GS event on saturday, will be nice to have it behind us- then need to work on some tax stuff. think GS stuff is more fun!

Barbara- good job on the run!!!!! hope the girls are not getting sick but just exhausted.

Cathy- yes, I broke my wrist ( missed a stair step while on roller skates and my feet came out under me). To add a photo- it needs to be hosted somewhere on the internet (like photobucket). then you copy the URL from that site and then in your post here, click on the "insert peacode" (below the smilies below) and it'll prompt you for the image URL that you paste and then ask for your words to describe it. Same thing if you are linking a page from the gallery. feel free to mess around with it here on the thread- we all had to learn sometime.

Theresa- My next ortho appt is 2/8. just supposed to be letting it heal. My hand therapist appt is next week, I take off the brace 3x day to do exercises, but my thumb doesn't want to bend at the second joint. any tips??

Debi- good luck with the appt. prayers it goes well. it's a tricky system to navigate, I'm learning.

Sending warm wishes for all of you in the freezing temps!

Praisemark!

I tried to post and praise yesterday and couldn't get on. So today I have finally caught up.

Tammy, hugs for you and your therapy. My thumb will never be the same. It even looks different than the other hand, but it does bend, just can't take any weight or stress. Men who aggressively shake hands at church just kill me. I've learned to keep my thumb against my finger so they can't slide their thumb between and then they remember to go gently.

Diana, prayers for Daniel. I certainly hope they hire him. Em's DH just got hired for a new job and he started yesterday. It's a good move for them.

Welcome Summer and Cathy. I think one of my little sisters had a Chatty Cathy! A muuuuch younger sister! LOL!

Sorry to post and run, but I have Cubs coming in an hour and I have science experiments to set up. We are learning about Pascal's Law and are making Cartesian Divers today. (Don't I sound intelligent? I have to research these things in order to teach them!!) It should be fun, but will necessitate water all over my kitchen. So I need to do some prep work.

Hugs to all of you. I'll try to stay caught up now that the Eagle Night is over. I didn't even get all the CHA challenges posted. I had one more done, but not scanned. Oh, well!

BARBARA Hurray for you and your little running legs. That extra mile you clocked was for me, as there is no way I could ever run. I don't think they let you in if all you can do is a shuffle. Hope the girls rest well, and are able to go back to the park. I've only been 2x as an adult. My kids went with their dad (DisneyWorld). I never even saw a single character when I was there...unbelieveablle, huh?

Summer while I was on a break from scrapping, I didn't do anything scrap related. I didn't buy new product at all. I took photos but just categorized them on the computer. Unfortunately due to a EHD/Laptop crash I lost most of those. Haven't given up hope YET that they may still be retrieveable but I've been postponing sending them to see. Part of me is afraid they aren't, and as long as I have the EHD and it hasn't been declared unreviveable, I can believe I'll get them back. KWIM? Sorry BARBARA.

TAMMY and NYLENE I do know what you mean about "hearty handshakes" I avoid them whenever I can. My hands are very tender.

Thanks for the encouragement about DSHS however it wasn't a very fruitful visit. I did have to sit in a hard uncomfortable chair for over 3 hours, and I had to fill out all their paperwork again despite it's in their computer and nothing changes since 3 weeks ago when I spent 3 different visits (8 hours total there). It took the counter person all of 10 seconds to tell me I didn't qualify for Medicaid because I have dependent kids at home. BUT the kicker is they have up to 30 days to notify me in writing of that decision and she wouldn't draft me a letter then and there. The hospital/clinic of course has given me only 14 days to produce the Medicaid denial in applying for assistance through them. I called them and they said, I would initially be denied help from the clinic, but when DSHS does send a letter I can reopen my file and resubmit and hopefully then I'd get approved and charges would be adjusted accordingly. Oy. I also checked out a cash ($197) program through DSHS for aged or disabled but I don't qualify for that either as you can't have ANY income to get that. Temporary Assistance for Needy Families also isn't viable for me because I have more than &700/month in income (child support). The DSHS person said I need to apply for the Washington Basic Health Insurance plan but I've been on their waitlist since NOV 2008; they aren't adding any new clients. I asked what I was supposed to do while I can't work due to the complications of my disease, and her only suggestion was to apply for the assistance programs through any doctor/clinic/hospital I'm being treated...which is what brought me in there in the first place. So not helpful and I feel awful after sitting so long so I'm home now trying to recover before tackling the next hurdle.

AS for posting a quote just highlight the text you want to quote, ctrl C to copy then go down below the message window for the codes and select QUOTE. Then click in the middle of the [ quote ]insert your saved quote here -ctrlV [ /quote]. Easy peasy...it'll print as an indented paragraph.

NYLENE you do such fun stuff with your scouts. You are the best leader.

Ok I'm tired. I need a nap. I do have to go after the boys later tonight and if I'm going to tolerate the trip I need to rest up. They leave for their dad's in an hour.

Tammy, I'm not sure exactly where the breaks were in your wrist so I hate to offer suggestions but I can suggest that you try to work with bending your thumb a little yourself with your other hand. Hold your affected thumb at the base of the joint with a finger from your other hand (put it inside the grip of your hand toward the base of your thum and bend the thumb a little over the forefinger with your good thumb several times a day and maybe get a soft ball or washcloth and squeeze your fingers around it. This will keep them from being too stiff. You can also massage the fingertips on each finger several times a day to increase circulation. If they put the plate over the nerve that goes to your thumb that may be the problem, not sure. Be sure your therapist knows.

Debi, sorry about your bad news. I understand why having the kids "huge" income as a refusal to qualify for Medicaid but what I don't understand is why your doctor can't get you approved for disability. That is not based on income. Make sure you keep good records. My Mother was denied for several years before she finally got approved and she got back pay from the first time she asked for it because the doctor noted in her file that she was disabled. Granted it didn't help her the 8 years that she needed it but it did get her out of debt.

Barb, hope the kids don't get sick and that your enjoy the rest of your trip.

Summer, I can't imagine getting rid of any of my stash. I keep telling myself that when I finally get to retire and use it I'll be amazed at how much money I'm saving by not having to buy it at the raised prices, LOL.

Had a pretty good day, wore my insulated underwear and stayed fairly warm instead of being numb all day. Decided I'm taking a vacation day Friday. Jeremy's coming in and I want to be here. I moved Doc's patients to Thursday so he could have the day off too since both days were low patient count days anyway. Baby Doc can see his patients in our office instead of the outlying clinic which makes him happy. Good day for all. Already in my jammies and going to bed early because it's just too darn cold to stay up!

Tammy - ouch! What an ordeal you are going through. I fell and broke my hand, right near my pinkie finger, a few years ago. Nothing serious, no surgery or anything like that, I just had to wear a brace for a couple of months. But it was certainly painful enough. What you are going through must be so much worse! I hope everything heals as it's supposed to - and fast!

It's been really cold here and supposed to get colder. Mark and I are planning to drive to Virginia with another couple this weekend - down on Friday, back on Monday, to visit with some friends. But they are predicting a big storm, so I don't know if we'll get to go. That's the problem with planning any trips in January!

I haven't gotten much scrapping done today, I might work on some tonight.

I hope everyone has a Happy Wednesday!

Good morning!

I've been down and out with a summer cold. Stuffy nose and coughing with a little fever just for variety. I am off work today and was hoping to spend it in bed sleeping till the kids come from school, but our neighbours are building on and today they have this huge machine compressing soil for paving. My whole house is vibrating! So much for sleep! Luckily I managed to sleep though the night last night (for the fisrt time in 4 days) without suffocating at some point.

Welcone Summer and Cathy!

Summer - working at Universal must be amazing. Doesn't it take some of the magic out of movies though? Being so close to the process?

Cathy - I do have 3 boys (10,8 and 4) but also have two older members of the family. My two cats are 14 and 13 yrs respectively and are starting to show their age. It has been interseting watchin my black cat go grey and now his fur is turning mahogany too. Apparently it happens with age

Debi - WOW! I can't believe the price of B12 shots there! A course of 10 here would cost you only about $10 for the injections alone. Is it the consultation fee pushing it up so much? Now I REALLY wish I was closer. I'd be over in a flash to inject you myself! As for tabs vs sublingual, it doesn't make much difference absorption-wise, but it will be quicker under the tongue. Could I send you some vials (10ml each of 1000mcg/1ml Vit B12? Do you have someone who can inject you? I'll gladly do it.

Theresa - I'm getting the same error as you. I got a response from the tech team saying they think they have it fixed. Will have to wait and see. Had to laugh at your thermal underwear! It's finally cool enough to wear jeans today. Seems somebody received my extra 30F, lol. Not JODI though. Brr!

Mary Jo - Hope those kiddos recover soon! You have had a lot of illness around now for a while.

Barbara - Congrats on the run! Well done!

Nylene - Hope your kitchen survived. You did sound very clever - I had no idea what you were talking about, lol. I'm sure the boys had a load of fun.

I'm going to add to the flood of LOs after CHA Seems we have really been busy.

For Monic's challenge to use a large shape, I use a big filmstrip.
The end?
It was also for CHA #10. Had to do this about the last movie in the Twilight series

Kids Kingdom

African chickens

Rammstein

Below the Surface tour

Have a great day!

Good Morning ladies! I'm going to try to get caught up on my praising a bit more, but I don't think that I'll do it this morning. Our furnace had an issue yesterday. The pilot light wouldn't stay lit, so the landlady brought some space heaters over for us to use. Last night Fenway slept on top of me. I am sure he was a little cold too, but he knew that I needed some extra warmth that's for sure. If I didn't have that space heater, it would really have been a three dog night. Brrrr!

The REALLY good part is that we were expecting my roommates parents to stay with us for the night tonight. Hopefully the furnace guy shows up when he said he would because I have a hair appointment at 10:45, and I'm not going to be here. He doesn't need access to the apartment to get to the furnace anyway, but still...It's a bit crazy. LOL.

KATY hope you get the furnace figured out today....brrr.

NYLENE actually tilted a photo and I didn't notice? I'll have to go look at her recent gallery again.

I slept pretty well last night and stayed nice and warm, but am quite stiff all the same today. NO word yet from the drug company...cross your fingers and hope i hear from them today that they okayed my prescription...I'm getting desperate here and depressed with not being able to move

Kids go to the orthodontist today so I have to go after them in a bit. I'm sure hoping Owen has been taking care of his teeth. this Ortho is relentless and not very kid friendly. He has a hard time working with Owen's azberger characteristics as he's much more wiggly than Noah.

Much warmer outside...upper 40's today so MICHELLE maybe some of the warmer weather stopped here.

Gotta get my cellphone situation figured out. For some reason the automatic plan didn't happen this month and now they are threatening to stop service. Such a pain to contact them too...takes forever. I've tried twice but I always manage to pick times when thereis no customrer service. Guess they are on a different schedule than me.

Ok have a scrappy day.

No, Debi, not a photo, but I did tilt an element! I'm getting less rigid!

I have finished a couple of layouts and thought I'd post them tonight. Neither scanned very well because of the thick elements, but here they are:

Baby Faces More photos of baby Alex.

Praised to here. I'll come back to chat later.

Hi Everyone. It is ridiculously cold here today - but then, it IS winter in New England so I should expect it!

I've really been enjoying seeing everyone's LO pages. Are most of them digital? Is there a way to tell the difference?

When you scan your pages in, what type of scanner do you use? Our scanner isn't hooked up, but even if it was, it isn't big enough to scan a whole 12x12 page.

In the meantime I've been taking photos of my wedding scrapbook pages and I'm trying to learn how to use Photobucket. That's something I need to do anyway, so I can share my pics with friends. I don't like facebook at all! I don't know if the phots will turn out good enough to actually see anything, I'll know as soon as I upload them to the computer.

Katy, I sure hope your furnace gets fixed!

Debi, I hope you can work things out with your cell phone plan. And that your boys did OK at the dentist!

It's time to feed the cats! I hope everyone has a nice, warm evening! Cathy McD

THERESA I somehow missed the site being down, because when I checked 7ish PST it was fine.

Boys did OK at the ortho, but even though we stopped at the house for them to brush their teeth, the ortho wasn't happy with the job they did. Guess we keep working on it. SOmehow between the house and the ortho Noah lost the metal part of his headgear. we retraced our steps at both ends and looked through the car, but it never turned up. Very mystifying in that he only had to walk down 6 steps and a coupld more to the car then a few steps from the car into the doctor's lobby. where it went, I don't know, so we'll have to go back next wednesday(Ortho only on Wednesdays) if it doesn't show up and have another made (I hope it's not expensive).Always something.

Kids helped me clean up the kitchen so that was good.Dinner is done. I'm free to go to bed.

Wow, you ladies have been busy!! I am now caught up on praise to the top of page 7. Hopefully tomorrow I can make it back after getting back from the school to finish getting caught up.

I haven't done anymore scrapping BUT I have been cleaning/rearranging my room. I have also been doing a HUGE purge, and I mean HUGE!!! I am keeping less then I am getting rid off. It feels good to get rid of stuff I know I won't use but man seeing all that wasted money hurts. I am hoping to sell some of it on a local buy and sell site but I won't get even a quarter of the money back to replenish. Oh well, such is life right.

I hope everyone is staying warm. Michelle, I hope you find a cool breeze, lol

Night all (Moring Michelle )

Hi Cathy and Summer - welcome

I haven't read everything, I just wanted to run by and see if the site is working. I think I'll start putting up some pages so I can start praising tomorrow. Looks like you all have been super busy

sleep tight, all...at least those of us who are sleeping, or will be soon, LOL.

Good morning everyone. Just another freezing cold morning here in good old Michigan. I thinks I am catching the cold that my DD and DH both have, I don't have time to be sick I so want to scrap but there is just not enough time in the day.

Debi- that really stinks that they are giving you the run around about getting your meds and stuff covered. And I really don't see how you make much how is someone supposed to live on 700 month let alone raise two growing boys on it. This type of stuff makes me really angry.

Cathy- most of us are actually paper scrapers primarily. Debi is all digi and some of dabble in digi. As for scanning I just use my Epson printer, my 12x12 I scan in two parts and then stitch them together in my photo stitch program.

Lori- purging is so hard I just cannot seem to do it even though I know I need to. But I am actually making myself use a lot of the stuff I didn't think I would use its kinda fun.

Well I'm waving hello to everyone, gotta run time to brave the cold and earn that paycheck.
