Hi Everyone,

Here it is, nearly 7 AM and I haven't been to bed yet. But I've been scrapping all night so I'm very happy! I had a fairly lousy, exhasting day - don't you just LOVE those GYN check-ups? - when I got home I was too tired to even EAT, but for some reason I started working on my pet SB. I did the page about my parakeets and that came out nice. Then I spent HOURS working on the front of the book itself. It's the type of album with a slot where you can put a photo, but I don't want a photo there. The book is about all the pets I've had, how can I choose just ONE picture to put on the front? It took hours to figure out what I wanted to do, more hours to figure out HOW to do it and then even more hours to actually DO it. But it's done now and I'm pretty happy with it. And even though it took forever, I had fun doing it.

Debi, I sure hope Noah finds the missing piece of his brace!

Jodi, thanks for the info about scanning. Photo stitch program? Interesting...

Lori, as a Professional Organizer, I LOVE to purge! But I do understand about the wasted money. I hope you can sell some of your stuff. Are you happy with the way your room turned out?

Toni, thanks for the welcome, I'm glad to be here!

I guess I should start getting ready for bed... Good Day to you all!

Cathy McD.

Good morning my lovelies!

Today is my last day for the week, taking tomorrow off but still not looking forward to going in even though it's a Doc day. I've been wheezing this morning and am hoping I'm not coming down with something. Randy hurt his knee at work yesterday so he'll be coming over to see Doc sometime today. Don't think it's anything serious but he's a guy so he's whiny. Rather get it checked out though just in case. Figure he stretched a tendon or muscle that didn't want to go the way he wanted it to. He's gotten so heavy that his legs just don't want to cooperated. He is trying to lose weight now though.

Cathy, scrapping all night, sounds like fun. Have a couple of friends that have gotten so wrapped up in projects they've done that too. I admit to being up to 2 or 3 before myself.

Of fiddlesticks, it's past time I should be gone and I'm not even finished getting ready!

Well Hello All my favorite sweet peas!
Looks like new ones as well.
I'm sure you probably have forgotten all about me.
As of this morning I will be moving home. No divorce and much improvement I hope. I'm scared silly but no I can do it and have become much stronger through this. Moving twice in 6 months is not my idea of fun but you sure can clean out things you don't need (lol)! I have thought of you all alot but been so up and down and just plain busy with this and that. It will be awhile before I get to scrap but boy do I have some adoraaaaaaaaaable photos of my new grandson Cole. I have lots to share but not enough time at the moment. Just wanted to thank any and all who prayed for me, I wouldn't have made it through this without them. I hope this New Year brings much happiness and joy to you all!

Good morning ladies,

(It's almost 8 am and both of my DDs are still asleep!! woohoooo!)

WANDA!! so good to see you up here! And with such news. I will continue to pray for you. XOXOXOXOX

TAMMY -- how's that thumb coming along? Are you working on it everyday?

NYLENE -- good to see you and loving your pages (though, I too missed the tilt )

CATHY -- All-nighter! How fun. You know you can upload photos of your work to the Gallery here on 2Ps, right? I would love to see your "pets" cover.

DEBI -- oh no! I hate it when something just disappears like that! Makes me crazy---and it happens a lot with 4 & 1 year olds. I hope it turns out OK; unexpected expenses are the last think you need, right?

THERESA -- I hope Randy's injury isn't serious. How lucky to be able to get in to see the Doc so quickly, though.

TONI & LORI -- good to see you ladies.

We are safely home! While we did have a nice few days in Disneyland, I am soooooo glad to be home.

One huge bummer though: my nephew's fiance isn't happy with the invitations! She called me last night. She doesn't like the ink color. We talked about this from the beginning. I had to hand mix the ink to letter press the pattern she wanted. I told her (many times) that I couldn't guarantee a color/shade. And she said she was fine with that. But now that she has them she isn't happy. I matched the SaveTheDate card she sent out but...I can't even describe how devastating this is. I keep thinking about how sad & disappointed she must be...to not love her invitations. I feel kinda sick when I think about it.

Hoping to get into my scrap room today...at least to clean and print some pics from Charlotte's first Disneyland Adventure.

Good Morning All!

It's been crazy around here. Boys have each added a new practice, Devon has started baseball and Noah has started basketball. So we have practices of some kind 5 days a week along with a basketball tourney on Saturdays. Noah and I still can't seem to shake this cold. He is home from school again today.

Welcome Summere & Cathy!!

Looks like I have a lot of praising to catch up on. Hoping to get a layout done today. Hope you all enjoy your day!

WANDA SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU. And great news that you are trying to work you rmarriage out. My blessings and prayers no matter what the outcome, ok? Please come and let us support you through whatever comes up. You're one of us and we miss you. I was so happy when I saw that Whale Tail in your siggy. And of course we're eager to see all the new photos of a camera-crazed grandma of her new grandson, Cole. How exciting. Glad you're back.

As for the question of digi or paper, most paperscrap. Some scan and stitch pages together, some photograph their pages and post those photos. Have to admit digi pages are the easiest to upload.

CATHY I used to stay up all night but the years of having kids to get up at 6 kind of put a crimp in that and now that i"m in a major flare of my RA being up is no picnic. Can't wait to see what you did for the cover of your pet album.

Maybe you could give us weekly tips on how to get organized in our homes...

GOOD NEWS the clinic found Noah's headgear piece. Someone picked it up and turned it into the coctor's office who didn't think to walk it over to the dentist. They called me this a.m. to tell me they found it so I'll have to drive down and get it. Unfortunately it's a good 1/2 hr away but I'm happy to have it back.

THERESA we've got to build up that immune system. You get sick more than I and I don't have an immune system. Take care and enjoy your day off. Scrapping plans?

TAMMY how is your wrist feeling? Does it hurt a lot? Are you able still to take care of Charlie part time?

BARBARA spunds more like an overstressed bride than a bad invite. SOme can get so picky about every little detail when in the big picture it doesn't matter. Who is going to compare the ink color with the wedding decor anyway? Please don't feel badly. You did a really nice job on your invites.

ShERRI you are taking the "soccer mom" role to new heights. I'm glad neither of my boys are doing sports this winter. It's a nice break.

Slept good but sitting makes my back ache. Still no word from dr or drug company. Guess i need to find a number and see if I can get some info. I can't stand to live like this for much longer.

It's Thursday, the rain stopped, the cool weather is back.

Have a fantastic day

No time today to really chat, but I wanted to shout out a BIG HELLO TO WANDA! We have really missed you, my friend! So glad you have decided to try again on the marriage. Lots of hugs and continued prayers. Hug that little Cole for me. I think he and Alex are just a few days apart in age. Love you!

Barb, I'm so proud of your finishing the race. What a great accomplishment. DD and family are going to Disneyland in 2 weeks. Wish we could fly down and meet them.

Debi, hang in there and stay warm.

Gotta run. I'll be back!

WANDA - Omgosh, girl, I am sooooooo happy for you, for going home, and for being here. I'm praying all goes well, and Bruce has come to his senses; you are one great girl for him to give up on. gf.

BARB - I am more devastated for you! All that time and energy, and how proud you were of them. Personally I thought they were just gorgeous, and I would have been really grateful for someone to go through so much time and effort for me. I am sorry for you, but it's her loss. Sending you some hugs, girl.

I know I read more, but those two items popped out at me.
We're supposed to be having an ice storm tonight so I'm pretty sure we won't be having school tomorrow, and if it's really bad I won't go into J's tomorrow night either. Can't risk losing another car on these roads we have here.

Anyway, sendng you all my love.

Hi ladies!!!

I hope all of you are doing well. Debi, I'm sending you prayers for healing and endurance to bear the pain. Life is good here, there is nothing major happening.

Wanda - That is awesome news! I'm so happy for you. I hope that the two of you are able to get things all worked out. Can't wait to see those sweet Cole photos.

Barbara - I sent you peamail!!! I would love it if you could send in a rec for Olivia. Theta is a great house at DePauw, it was their first chapter. I peamailed you the contact info for the rush chairman. Thank you sooo much! Also, congrats on finishing that race, that is truly amazing! I can't run to the end of my driveway, I'd be in bad trouble in a marathon.

Theresa - LOL on the thought of me getting money back from my sister, that won't be happening. I don't care though, maybe she will just use it to come home some other time. It's awesome that you got to leave work early...that is happy.

Oh, I almost forgot, I finally got a LO posted, here it is:

Life is good - this is my LO for Toni's sketch challenge.

Anywho, I hope you all have a nice evening!

Wanda, so happy for you. I've missed you! Just remember to take it slow and don't expect too much too fast.

Barb, bummer about the invitations. I'm thinking that as hard as you worked on them she should be more appreciative. If she doesn't like them then I'm thinking I would tell her that maybe she'd have better luck at the professional printers. I certainly wouldn't redo them when they look marvelous.

Toni, yeah, we're expecting ice too. Not good. Jeremy is taking Kate to the Louisville airport early in the morning to fly to Delaware and then he and the dogs were coming here.

Randy didn't do anything serious to his knee, got a steroid injection and it already feels better. Did find out that he is already showing arthritis in his knees with bone spurs forming. Doc said to anticipate a knee replacement in his future. Another weight reduction incentive.

Put a chicken pot pie in the oven when I came in so think it's done. Best go eat. WAY too late to be eating supper but I stayed at work late because we were so busy today and I'm off tomorrow.

Hi Everyone! There's a lot I want to comment on, but we are leaving here at 4:30 in the AM (just a few short hours from now!) to drive to Virginia. I still have so much to do - I love having pets, but getting everything ready for the pet-sitter takes so much time! I probably won't be back online until Tues. Wish us luck on our drive down, we HOPE we won't run into any dangerous weather!

I hope everyone has a GREAT weekend!

CATHY have a great and safe trip

I spent 2 hrs on the phone trying to straighten out my cellphone coverage. They without notice cancelled my ongoing family plan so tried to get it reinstated but of course, that's impossible. had to sign up new which ends up costing me more per month than the package I had...grrr. Then had to transfer a number from my DEAD phone to a NEW phone...that took forever and the phone still hasn't activated. Said it could take up to 48 hours...geesh. Not like I need it or anything....

Picked up Noah's headgear piece, had him help me pump gas, picked up a library book on hold and went to our absolutely favorite take-out japanese food restaurant (which has been around over 40 years) to find the doors locked and the place empty. how sad. It was a fantastic place. good food, big servings decent price. I'm going to really miss it.

All that and it started to rain. I'm pretty beat. Body is screaming but I'm trying to hold out a bit longer before hitting bed since sleeping isn't easy either.

Called the drug company. They hadn't processed my paperwork cause they needed additional info which I had brought into the doctor's office but which I guess they didn't send when they faxed the info. So got that straightened out. Have to call back tomorrow. cross your fingers and hope I qualify and meds will be on the way by Tues/Wed. Really I can't handle too many more days feeling this much pain. SOmething has to give.

Now I have to cancel my tv cable (since the tvs aren't working now anyways without a special box you have to order from the cable company0 and get NETFLIX set up for the kids. Did want to watch Grey's Anatomy tonight but no longer an option, so will have to catch it online tomorrow.

It was Science Night at the kids school but the kids didn't want to go and i"m too much in pain to argue. It's a great event though--3 floors of displays from people in the community who use science in their work.

Since I haven't done any scrapping I'd best stop yapping and get off here.

hello!
Today was a good day First thing this morning, I got a call about a job and have an interview scheduled for next week The lady said I was one of 70 applicants, so I am so grateful I even got a call!

I also got reconnected with my long lost aunt - I haven't seen her since I was probably 5 years old. She sent me a message on FB today, and we talked back & forth for quite a while. I'm excited because she sent me the link to our family history on ancestry.com -- I know almost nothing about my dad's side of the family because they were always more secretive and everyone keeps to themselves. SO excited that I will get to include that info in my scrapbooks now! Also, she is going to send me copies of photos she has.

A few other good things happened today, but I'd better not post here because of lurkers...

Looking forward to a weekend of scrapping! Who's with me?!

whew! Lots to catch up on. It's easy to get behind here these days!

Katy- brr! I sure hope your furnace got fixed. Terrible time of year for it go out!

Lori- ugh, I totally know what you mean about purging. I kick myself so much... My problem is I am too slow to use up all that I have, and I get overwhelmed with my stash at times, so that's when I purge. And, yeah, it's really sad how little you get back compared to what you spent. Awesome for getting your room organized, though! That's always a good feeling!

Jodi- Hope you are feeling better. There sure is a lot going around! Makes me happy that I haven't been out in the public a whole lot lately.

Cathy- Scrapping all night sounds fun! I'm a night owl, but not as much as you I think the latest I've stayed up scrapping is 3am.

Theresa- Yay for a day off! Hope Randy's knee is better. That stinks about the arthritis. My mom is starting to figure out that she is getting arthritis, too. Probably from all those years of house-cleaning. Plus, it runs in the family

WANDA! Good to see you! Of course we haven't forgotten you - how could we? I'm glad to hear you guys are working things out. I'll keep you in my prayers! Can't wait to see pics of that sweet grandbaby of yours!

Barbara- What a bummer about the invitations. You know what, though? Do NOT blame yourself for it. You did a wonderful job! Sounds like she's being a bit of a bridezilla. The thing is, you already warned her ahead of time about getting the color exact, and she agreed. So she'll just have to accept it or pay to go somewhere else. I think you did amazing with them, though!!

Sherri- Wow, that is a lot of sports! I remember when my brothers were into sports like that. I loved watching their baseball games most! Hang in there!

Toni- Hoping for a total day off for you tomorrow Then you can get your scrap on!

Cathy- Have a safe & fun trip!

Debi- I hear ya, on many levels! Hope the drug company comes through for you. I get one of my medicines through the drug company because it costs... get this... $2500 per MONTH! It's like gold. Anyway, I know how you feel about the cable. We are glad we got rid of our cable, but I honestly miss a few of the channels, like HGTV. I do watch a lot of stuff online, though.

Tina- I'm with you, so much I see that I like from CHA! I also love winter CHA better because of the spring and summer lines. Right up my alley! Super excited that Allison Kreft is now designing for Webster's Pages... I love what I see, and I'm even more excited that they will have transparencies. I also am in love with the Maggie Holmes line, DL Lucky Charm, Glitz Color Me Happy & the nautical one, SC Sundrifter. I also like the Crate birthday line - I've not been a huge fan of many other birthday lines that have been released by other manufacturers. Oh, and totally loving the Crafters Workshop stencils and a bunch of the masks I've seen out there! Ahh, I need a job

*hello to everyone I missed!

Good morning,
I did a posting the other day, but it did not post. It was probably when 2peas was having technical difficulties

Natalie is sick hopefully is a cold and not the flu.

Been busy at work, officially started working 34 hours a week makes me happy. Going to ask for a raise next month, will let you know how that goes. But I work 10 times more than what he said I would be doing, now he is always traveling and I'm running the company so more money is due.

Daniel as of Tuesday was still in the background check status, but I have not talked to him in 2 days, waiting to see if he remembers he has a mother and calls without needing something.

Wanda..It's so good to see you, I have been thinking of you. I will pray that everything goes well. I'm glad the two of you are giving it another chance. I can't wait for you to scrap your beautiful grandson.

Cathy...Have a safe trip.

Katy.. So good to see you.

Monica and Tina...I want so much of the CHA stuff, but I don't think I'm getting anything right now.

Tammy..How are you feeling? Hope you take lots of pictures of the GS event.

Barb.. I'm so sorry she felt that way. Those invite are beautiful. You put so much hard work into it. Can't wait to see Disney Pictures.

Waiving hello to everyone else. have to move on and get ready for work, and take Natalie to my sister's house. Have a wonderful day.

Holy Cow, what a busy week!
And it's so cold here, I don't want to do anything! But we are in the 20's and I know there are places where it is much worse. So I probably shouldn't complain

Wanda - I am very new to the group, but just wanted to say it sounds like good news for you!

Barbara - I am so sorry about the invites. I think if it would have been me, I wouldn't have said anything but thank you. It's so hard to create for others and that is why I tend to say no when asked these days. But I am sure it will turn out ok in the end.

Cathy - Hope you have a safe trip!!!

Debi - I hate when stuff like that happens!! We just had huge issues with our insurance company where they sent us a letter saying our insurance was being cancelled because they didn't get all of my personal info. What is that?!!! We got it all cleared up but not before a huge snowball effect of payments and the bank saying there was a problem because the house insurance had been cancelled, and it was just a mess!

Monica - congrats on the interview and good luck!

Diana - Hope Natalie feels better! My kids have been sick off and on with a flu like virus pretty much this entire month! So frustrating!!!

And here is another layout I wanted to share today. Not for any of our challenges, but another sketch I saw on a blog

First Day of School

Hope everyone has a great weekend! I usually don't check in much because my husband is back in town Friday-Sunday night. We like to hang with him as much as possible!!

Good thing I took a vacation day, solid sheet of ice everywhere. Hundreds of wrecks already. Jeremy, stupidly, went ahead and headed this way after dropping Kate off at the airport in Louisville (they didn't have anything from Lexington to Louisville) despite me telling him that it was supposed to be bad and he should log in to watch the road condition website before he left Louisville.

He's been stuck on I-65 for several hours. He can see the WK Parkway Exit that he needs to take but traffic is backed up so far that he can't get to it. He's moved 3 or 4 times and then only a few feet in those hours. The dogs are doing good he said, they're napping and he hopes they don't see the bus load of men that have gotten off and are having a smoke fest a few cars behind him. He's playing on his phone and keeps starting and turning off the car just to keep the heat on without draining the battery. There is another wreck on the WK Parkway but it should be cleared by the time he gets there. Last update was they all needed to pee but had no where to go! Can't get the dogs out of the car on a leash with that many people down the road, they'll run to go to them and one of them will get hurt. Yet, another reason to listen to your mother, LOL! If you're reading this early on Friday, say a prayer for safety.

Monica, hurray for a job interview! Saw on FB this morning that you think you have an ulcer--that's from worrying I'm sure. Let go and let God! Yeah, easier said than done.

Diana, you're at the stage now with Daniel that you'll have to call him just to check. Jeremy rarely calls unless he needs something or is just really bored and no one else is home. He always is happy to hear from us though when we call him. Says he just doesn't think to call.

Think I'll go get out of my jammies and work on the den a bit. Need to make my niece a birthday card.

good morning!

Once again I'm sneaking in some Peas while my girls sleep late.

THANK YOU ALL for you support and kind words regarding my race last weekend. I really am quite proud to have set that goal and accomplished it. It means a lot when friends can share in my excitement.

Less good: I have a lingering injury from the race. When I do longer runs, the tips of my toes hurt when I'm done. It's been happening since I reached about 11 miles. But it usually goes away after a couple of hours. My left big toe is still tingly and painful today! It's been 5 days. Not good. Gonna call the doc this morning and see if I can get in. I'll be sad if I can't run this weekend, and beyond sad if I've killed the nail bed. (Which is what everyone is suggesting I've done.) What kind of pedicure can a girl get if she's missing the nail on one big toe?!

TINA -- DePauw! I knew that, once upon a time. I remember thinking "Theta's Aphla Chapter" when you told us her decision. OK, I'm on it. Woohoooooo! I'm so excited to help out.

SHERRI -- I don't think I realized your are in Northern California. ?! Did I forget that?? Where, exactly, are you? Bay Area? I apologize if we've discussed this before...many things escaping my brain lately.

DEBI -- Thank you for you kind words. I am slowly coming to terms with the fact that this won't change...I sure hope the bride is also. SO glad to hear they find that head gear. A trip back to the office is a lot better than paying for a new one. Sorry the cold is returning...get back under that heated blanket!

NYLENE -- you must be busy these days...I hope everyone is healthy?? Tell your family to be sure to check out the new Cars Land in California Adventure!

THERESA -- I'm glad to hear that Randy's knee wasn't anything serious...but the rest of that doesn't sound like what you want to hear?! A knee replacement? It sort of sounded like "a meteor will eventually hit the earth" to me. Isn't there anything they can do to prevent it from getting that bad?

MONICA -- congrats on interview. But boooooo to the lurkers!! Whatever else is going on, I hope it's all good and that some day you can tell us because it's just a good part of your life.

CATHY - -safe travels.

DIANA -- glad work is going the way you wanted.

HI to EVERYONE I didn't mention...going to try again today to get into scrap room. Yesterday was a bust.

Two posts showed up while I was writing!

Wanted to add:

THERESA -- yes, Jeremy is learning a "wow, my mom really does know something" lesson today! I hope they arrive safely and, uh, DRY.

MARY JO -- stay warm and have a great weekend!

>>PRAISEMARK<<

Diana- That's nice that you are getting more hours. It does sound like you need to ask for a raise! Good luck with that. I agree, so much I want from CHA but I probably won't buy anything, for a while anyway.

Theresa- Thanks! I'm sure the ulcer has gotten worse because of stress/worrying, but I actually read up about it and they are saying that the latest is ulcers are not caused by stress or diet. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the steroid I take. Oh, and I read that you are NOT supposed to take NSAIDs with steroids, which none of my doctors had ever told me before!! So that definitely could be a cause, too.

Barbara- Bummer about your toe! Yes, the other things that are going on have been a bit stressful, but got some good news yesterday. Just keep your fingers crossed for me! hehe.

Gonna take it easy today since my tummy isn't cooperating. Hopefully get some scrapping done!

Slept decent last night but every day without meds I get stiffer. I hear you Monica, my meds are also $2500/month thus why I need help getting them. Waiting for the lady at the drug company to call back...call went to voice mail when I called this morning.

Kids got up late...stayed in bed after the alarm and I didn't hear it (pretty quiet a floor away) so we had to rush and I had to take them to school Not a good way to start the day.

THERESA Hope Jeremy gets there safely and before all their bladders burst. Hate when I'm stuck in the car and have to pee.

MONICA B good luck with the job interview. Sorry you are still dealing with lurkers. Don't people have better things to do than harrass other people?

House is cold, so need to turn up the heat or head back under that blanket. Hope the lady will call soon.

GOOD NEWS I got accepted in the drug program (for 3 months only as they need verification that I was declined from medicaid) then for the year. Meds arrive on Wednesday, so have to make it through 5 more miserable days and then relief should start happening albeit slowly.

I have to go grocery shopping tomorrow. I dread it. It takes so much energy to do right now especially after you wander down the aisle, putting everything in your basket, take it out of your baskets to put it on the check out counter, then back in your basket, then out of the basket into the car then into the house and in my case my mom'shouse, then out of her house into the car and out of the car into my house then out of the bags into the shelves. Geesh. I'll have to take a break in between because I can't do it all in one swell swoop.

Boys birthday is Tuesday. I haven't gone shopping. Oy!

I'm such a lame mom at the moment.

Off to rest a bit.

Hi again,

Charlotte is napping so I thought I would come check on Debi...YAY!

DEBI, so happy for you! 5 days will feel long, but once relief comes, it will seem like nothing...I am so relieved that it worked out.

MONICA -- ok, fingers crossed. For whatever it is.

Happy Friday Everyone!!

Barbara I am in Napa, a few hours from you. I hope your toe injury isn't too serious. It's not fun when an injury takes you away from doing something you love. I tore my ACL playing soccer a few years back and haven't played since.

Debi Great news on the meds!! Hopefully the boys can help put the groceries away. Does your store offer help when shopping or have a delivery service? It might be worth paying the delivery fee for them to shop and then you just have one stop to do. Lanie's birthday is Saturday and I haven't done any shopping yet either! I think I like seeing how much I can get done in a crunch situation!

Monica Good luck with the job interview! I started years ago doing research on my family through ancestry, but hit a road block.

Cathy Have a safe drive!

Diana I would definitely be asking for a raise. You don't want to end up being taken advantage of.

Theresa Glad to hear Randy's knee is serious as of now. I will never complain about the weather here! Sheets of ice on the road does not sound fun.

Wanda Good to hear from you! Keeping you in my prayers for continued progress with your dh.

Mary Jo Enjoy your family time with your hubby! It's hard when they are away from home.

Hope everyone else is well!

I have lots of praising to catch up on and hoping to do a page or two tonight. Another basketball tourney tomorrow, so we will be gone all day. Hope you all have a great weekend!!

Evening all. Jeremy made it home safely but the 2-1/2 hour drive took almost 7 hours. Silly man should have listened and after he dropped Kate off at the airport should have went back to Lexington. Anyway the Granddogs are deliriously happy to be here, albeit worn out! Sorry the photo is so large, I snagged it from my FB page.

just passing by to post a LO I made.

1969
This picture was taken 4 months after we came to this country. I think my father was pretty scared. My uncle and aunts had been here for over 4 years and the middle one for 10 years so they were much happier. I don't think my dad ever got use to this country poor soul. Anyhow this picture is in Cuba in someones house that I don't know, my aunt to a picture of it when she was there for Christmas I played with it a little bit on photoshop and was able to fix it a bit.

Theresa..You are right I called him today and he said mami why haven't you called me?" He said to please call him because he just forgets. He does not forget when he needs something, oh well. Your fur grandbabies are just too cute.

See you all tomorrow.

Seems like in every family there are the "callers" and the "callees"...I tend to be the caller in my family. My mom is definitely a "callee." LOL I suspect when the boys leave home, it will be me doing the calling.

THERESA the dogs look like they are completely comfortable being there. How funny. I hate being in traffic like that. Glad Jeremy made it ok.

Normally I'd have the boys help unload the car of groceries but they aren't with me this weekend. I want to do shopping with my mom but that's an hour away, so she won't be with me to help me on this end. Oh well. I'll manage.

Manage to stand over the boys and get their room cleaned before they left; did some paperwork and got the dishes done. So much more to do but a little bit at a time right now so I don't over do it. Nothing like having back spasms all night because I didn't take it easy enough.

Gonna watch my soap on laptop in a few then head to bed.

Have a fantastic weekend. I have no internet at mom's so may not be on til Sunday night.

hi everyone,
Crazy night here... My mom & I finally decided to go to the ER this afternoon and spent hours there. But they sure did cover all the bases, I have to say! I had blood tests, urine tests, an ultrasound, and a CT scan. They eliminated anything serious - not the gallbladder or appendix or UTI. Final diagnosis was Mesenteric Adenitis - inflammation of the lymph nodes in the abdomen, caused by a virus. So I was finally sent home with a prescription for pain meds and an anti-nausea med. They said I just have to wait for the virus to run its course

Debi- So glad to hear that you were approved by the drug company! I hope that helps you feel better

morning girls -

was up a little earlier than usual today...Kevin had to go in for a few hours to salt the parking lot of the nursing home so I'm afraid we were all up, LOL. Larry has salted our driveway a couple of times so that I could get to work today (I called out to J's yesterday - can't believe they even stayed open ) Meagan didn't go into Panera last night either. Sooooo, I was home alllllll day, and although I got some stuff done, not as much as I would have liked, LOL...actually started getting a little bored. Made a couple of thank you cards though

Debi - wonderful news on the meds, girl. I'm happy for you, and hope they help tremendously. All the effort I put into getting the Nuvigil for me paid off as it really keeps me going. So I hope this works for you.

Monica - Well, I'm glad you got a diagnosis after all that. That's good that they were thorough. I hope the meds they gave you help.
Good luck on the job interview, and the other unidentified things you got going on

Barb - WTG on the race, but I'm sorry you hurt yourself in the meantime. Hope it gets better soon.

Theresa - your poor furbabies look exhausted after such a long drive.
why is it kids just don't want to listen? I'm just glad he made it to your house safe and sound.

Tina - I'm lovin' some of the new stuff, too....unfortunately I just keep buying some of the old stuff; can't hardly resist when it's 30, 40, 50 or 75% off I had some stuff in my cart here for months and saw that a few things were on sale and started a new cart...needless to say $40 later, LOL...but something to look forward to. Of course I don't buy nearly like I used to.

Who am I sending February sketches to???

Tammy - how are you doing, girl?

Wanda - Don't tease us, come back again soon

Anyway, here is my take on Monica's challenge:

this is your happy

Ok, girls, I better get going to J's...
hope you all have a super day.

Good morning ladies, I am just popping up to say a quick 'hello'. Have a chore to do this morning and I have a few quiet minutes (Stuart and Julia went on an early morning date and Charlotte is still sleeping!)

Hope everyone has a great Saturday. So glad 2Peas isn't Malwared today!

send FEBRUARY challenges to Debi. It doesn't have to be a prearranged challenge either; if you have something you'd like to challenge the group with, send it and I'll add it to next month's challenges. Everyone is invited to play. If you have an attachment and need my email, peamail me and I'll send it to you.

I'm up FINALLY. Well I was up every 1 or 1 1/2 hours all night but now I'm up to stay up for awhile. Just finished breakfast, having some tea, then will attempt to go to the basement to swap out the laundry (boys forgot to before they left). Maybe I should take my cellphone in case i can't get back up. LOL

Off to mom's later to grocery shop. Otherwise nothing is on my list to do other than get through another day with as little pain as possible.

What's on your list to do today?

Hi there Sweet Peas!

I hope you are all having a happy Saturday! I'm so glad that 2 Peas is fixed, I was having withdrawals. Today has been good, Olivia & one of her friends from college came home yesterday and my sister got here again this morning. Mal & my sister are baking brownies from scratch right now and I have dinner in the crock pot.

Barbara - I have to say publicly that you are THE BEST!!! I appreciate the work and time that you spent on doing Olivia's recommendation and communicating with the rush chairman. It was so very sweet of you. I hope your toes heal up, one of my friends loses her toenails annually when she runs a marathon, her lady at the nail salon puts fake ones on for her every time until they grow back. I'm sorry about the invitations...that would be so disheartening after you worked so much on them.

Debi - I'm really glad that you are back on your med program and that you'll have them soon...that is such good news!

Well, my sister needs me to run to the store for her, so I have to run.

Bye ladies!

For those that have asked, don't send me challenges. Somehow it went from me being in charge of the thread to Tina and Debi doing it, have no idea how but it did. So send the challenges for February to Debi since Tina did it January,

Did a card for my niece's birthday that I totally lifted from a card from Pinterest. Like the design so well think I'll make another one for Doc's birthday using masculine colors.

Praisemark!

Barbara, I'm so sorry about your toes. I hope you haven't done any permanent damage. DH and DS did a 50/20 (50 miles in 20 hours) one summer and DH lost his toenails a couple of times. They look fine now! My grands are so excited about Cars Land. They are Pixar crazy since their dad works for Pixar. Wish I could be with them. Maybe next year.

Debi, prayers are answered!! I am so glad you have been able to get the meds you need. Hang in for the next 5 days and stay warm. Don't overdo! Nearly every chore can wait!

Theresa, so glad Jeremy made it safely. We had freezing rain and there were 176 accidents locally. Dh took the garbage out and informed me that I shouldn't even venture out that day. Good advice for someone obviously not very secure on her feet!

Tina, how nice to have a great recommendation from Barbara. Hope all goes well with Olivia through Rush. Love your last page, BTW!

Mary JO, I saw a woman in SLC last night that looked just like your photo. She was even wearing a similar shirt. I knew it couldn't be you, but I kept looking! You have a local twin.

Toni, have you heard any definitive word on your job for next year? I think of you every time I walk into our J's. Ours is not a very good one, really slim on scrapping things. I hope you get lots of good deals at yours. How are Larry and the kids?

Monica, good luck on the interviewing. I know there's a good job out there somewhere waiting for you. Sorry you are feeling poorly, but glad they have a DX for you. Hang in there and get better.

Sherri, how far are you from Lafayette? That's where my DD and family live. Such a beautiful area.

Well, last night we really splurged. For Christmas and our 45th Anniv. we bought tickets to Martina McBride and George Strait. We had really good seats. We rode to SLC on the train and had a wonderful time. We never do things like that. I am so glad we did. We loved it all except for the extra loud sound! We are normally quite boring, home-bodies.

I need to work on this room a bit, but every time I clean it a little, I find myself scrapping and messing it up again!
Hugs to all my sweet pea pals.

Glad to see 2P's is back up and seemingly running smoothly. It wasn't just 2P's that got hacked, several scrap places did. Wish people spent time helping others instead of creating viruses.

Barb, sorry about your runner's toe. Jeremy had to have both big toenails worked on. The Podiatrist killed out the nailbeds on both sides which kept it from growing back funky again. LOL over the photo you posted on FB where DH cut a hole in the shoe for you.

Nylene, how wonderful that you and Steve splurged on what sounds like a great night out. You both deserve it after the year you've had.

Monica, glad you found out what was wrong. Hope the meds kick in and you're feeling better soon.

Whew, I'm pooped! Jeremy and the Granddogs have left to go back to Lexington. Love to see them but it sure is a lot of work when they are here. I have dog hair all over the house now, stuff has been moved to make the place more large dog friendly and J's so spoiled that he doesn't have to clean up after himself because I do (stupid I know, didn't do it when he lived here!) and almost every room in the house is now a mess. It'll take all day tomorrow to get the regular weekend chores done and straighten the house.

Going to study my Sunday School lesson and hopefully J'll text me that he made it back to Lexington about the time I finish so I can get some sleep.

morning girls -

getting ready for work but thought I would zoom by with a quick hello.

DEBI - can you p-mail me your e-mail? I'm sure I have it somewhere but that would require me looking somewhere

Another question: How do you bookmark something now? I tried to bookmark a thread on a list of adding items to a page (a mighty fine list, actually) but I can't figure out how to bookmark it...sigh.

I actually scrapped something last night but need to add a title; it's for a challenge on Scrap-n-chat where Diana is on the DT. I was bored and am not ready to start a new series of books as I'm still lulling around Fifty Shades in my head, LOL.

anyway, need to get moving.

Have a super-de-duper day.

Good morning!
I'm scrapping in my pjs today I'm feeling a bit better every day. Today it's rainy outside, so seems like the perfect day for staying in my jammies & scrapping!

oh, did you guys see about the "malware" messages everyone was getting on the site yesterday? Makes me think that whatever was killing our thread was a virus on TWO PEAS, not from one of us!! Hopefully if they fixed the malware issue, we won't have anymore problems with the thread.

Toni- In the bottom right corner, there is an arrow next to the "reply" button. Click that, and there are options to either bookmark or watch the thread. The watch option makes it show up in your sidebar on the top left.

Theresa- Bummer about the mess in your house. I'm starting to think most guys, no matter what age, just don't know how to clean up after themselves! Or don't want to!

Nylene- How fun to get out and see a concert! I bet riding the train was fun. I love riding trains.

Happy Sunday, chatty friends.

I am back in bed, lounging instead of running. The sitters we usually have are out of town and we under estimated how difficult it would be to find an early-morning sitter for a Sunday morning. *sigh* We may take turns going for our run later...we'll see. So far I am pretty unmotivated since it's warm & cozy in the house and freezing cold outside.

MONICA -- so glad you are starting to feel better. I hope that continues. Bummer that it required an afternoon in the ER, but at least you know what's going on now. And I am beyond jealous of your jammies & scrapping!! Enjoy that!!

NYLENE -- I can only imagine how excited your grand children are about Cars Land! I know it would be so nice for you if you could be there...hopefully they'll send you loads of photos. Your concert sounds like it was so fun! Good for you two for setting up such an exciting date and celebration! And great choice for a show, I would imagine. I've always wanted to see Martina McBride in concert. (Country music is a secret, guilty pleasure of mine. )

THERESA -- that photo of your fur grand babies was hilarious!! It seemed appropriate that they photo was huge since those dogs are clearly enormous! Any word that your human child made it back to Lexington safely?

SHERRI -- Napa! yes, I think I did know that at one point in the past. (I must be getting old; definitely distracted. sorry!) We should plan a meet up/crop in Berkeley. Or maybe a shopping meet-up in Berkeley and a crop closer to where you live...I love going up there.

TINA -- it was my pleasure! I hope O has a great Rush, regardless of where she decides to pledge. I'm sure you're hoping she goes AGD...every mom hopes for that, right? In my experience, it always goes the way it's supposed to. But boy would I be excited to have helped a young lady like O become a Theta!

TONI -- good to see you scrapping and hanging out with us again.

WANDA -- I know you have lots on your mind, but I sure hope you're at least lurking up here so you know we're all thinking of you!

Big hello & hugs to everyone else. (JODI, hope you're staying warm!)

Now I have to decide between heading for the scrap room and heading for West Cliff to run. Let's find a coin to flip...

Barb, yes, Jeremy made it home around 11:30 my time last night (12:30 his). He has to be at work this morning and then after working all day drive to Louisville to pick up Kate at the airport. He'll be dragging all week I have no doubt. Still said he was glad he came home despite all the problems. Yep, he misses his folks from time to time.

Went to church and am back home in comfy clothes trying to get warm. I have the living room vacuumed and the pillows and throw from the couch (that were totally covered in dog hair) in the dryer and a load of clothes in the washer. One of the pillows got caught somehow during the agitation in the washer and I ended up with water all over the top of the washer. First thought the drain pipe was frozen. As cold as it's been that could have been true. Scorched the pillow and put a hole in it. Glad that is all that it did. Thinking once I get the laundry washed, a nap sounds good.

No nap, noticed the bird feeder had what looked like a small woodpecker at it so I grabbed the camera and spent 1/2 hour taking photos of a variety of birds. Posted them on FB but here's a link for those that don't have FB

Good afternoon, Last night was so much fun, and to think I did not want to go. I even got into a huge fight with Stan over my costume. LOL! Oh well all is well now.

Today is Stan's birthday and his taking us out to dinner.LOL. I offer to cook something special but he want to go to this all you can eat Chinese, Japanese buffet. It's really amazing, has snow crabs and every kind of suchi you can imagine. NOt fitting over this one.

Hello everyone!

Although I am a long-time member of Two Peas, and most of you are familiar faces, this actually would be my first time posting to this group. I didn't have the calendar you all were following in years past, so I never thought of joining then. And for some reason, I never opened this month's thread until today. Glad I did! I have scattered praise on some of the layouts linked so far, and will try to be more thorough with that in the future.

For anyone who doesn't know me, I am Ellen and I live in southern California with my DH. I am a stepmom of 2 and a grandmother of 2, but my stepdaughter and the GKs live in Colorado, my stepson even farther away in Ohio.

I plan to add the challenges to a list I am keeping, which also has the Garden Girl challenges, and another GS board challenge, Scrap Busters. I don't think I will be able to do any of these challenges before the end of the month, but coincidentally, I did lift a first-page bookmark earlier this month, so I'll share it and my bookmark. Mine was also inspired by the very first Garden Girl video posted this year.

It's Like A Jungle Sometimes

which I lifted from

Paths by ChristianeM.

Since some of you last "heard" from me, I am doing a lot more art journaling and less scrapbooking now, as I am on a strict budget that sometimes even limits my desire to expend money on photo printing. (But still, sometimes will allow new paper and embellishments too.) That, plus my interest in the Garden Girl and Stash Buster challenges, each of which add five new ones a week, means I may not get all of these challenges done, just as I don't get all of those done. but I'll share here whatever this thread inspires, and I sometimes am good at combining challenges.

I just skimmed through and caught up on the chatter I think.

Thanks to so many who asked about me. The wrist is doing better- still have it in a cast (removable)- which I take off 3xday to exercise and shower- but only to bend fingers, not allowed to bend the wrist yet. Yesterday after the big GS event, it was quite achy. I'm sure I did too much with it.

The GS event was a success- two girls woke up sick and didn't come, and I sent one home after about an hour in because she was sick. We sang a LOT of songs, games, made squirrel feeders, made pizzas for lunch, made butterfly crafts and had a guest speaker (who didn't show up on time because she forgot- but she came soon after I called). The girls were sooo excited to earn their big badge. I am soooo excited it is over. LOL. Now to resume normal life for a bit!

Kobe got into some foil covered chocolates last Friday while we were at basketball. He began vomiting blood last night so we were at ER this am. They induced vomiting and luckily a big ball of foil came up. Otherwise we were looking at endoscopy and possible surgery..... he's resting now and seems to be doing much better.

Sending love and prayers to you all.

Welcome Ellen, please come by often. You are welcome to chat and post any project here whether it's for one of our challenges or not. we love to see what everyone is creating

TAMMY how long do you have to wear the brace? Glad you GS Badge night went well. Sorry so many of the girls were sick. Definitely a hard year for sickness.

NYLENE a concert sounds like a great way to celebrate. Glad you had fun.

THERESA I still think of you as the host of this thread. So please by all means, feel free to take over the monthly posting at any time . I am not attached to it at all. As for posting challenges for February I sent some of you my email, but DIANA your email keeps bouncing. So either you have me blocked or your box is full. My email is easy enough. It's a hotmail dot com address sent to my name, Debi Schroder with a _ between my first and last. Ok hopefully I won't get alot of spam now.

Since I was in a no internet zone all weekend I didn't know 2peas was down. Glad it's up now and hopefully whatever malware issues they had are gone.

Counting the days, or should I say hours, before my meds arrive on Wednesday. I'm starting to sound like a drug addict, aren't I? Hmmmm.

Catch you all tomorrow. A good night sleep to all.
Debi

Gosh you guys such a wonderful welcome back!!! I have gotten things moved into the house but will take a bit to get settled. It feels wierd and I'm truly scared but will sure take those prayers gals. It will take me awhile to remember all the new gals and to even get scrappin but please don't give up on me. Lots of changes going on and I dont want to sink back into my same old habits either.

I have joined ww and have lost around 12 lbs and several inches trying to get more fit and happy with myself. God has been good to me and has given me so much strength I never new I had. Anyway I love and miss you gals! Will try to get going by the first of the month at least with a bit of chatting and praising.
My love to all!!! Wanda
