So I can't decide what I want to do, so please help me!
Last year I did Project Life, which I really enjoyed, but skipped a good deal of months due to being pregnant and fairly under the weather. Now Baby Bee is due in February and I have the PL Baby Kit (which I have started and I love) and am wondering if I should also do PL in addition to baby stuff. I'm leaning toward yes (I keep an album for each year and put the pages/layouts in that year's album -- project life gets mixed in with other things) because if I fall behind again, there is no real problem -- something is better than nothing. But then again, I don't want to feel overwhelmed when Baby Bee arrives.
Anyone have thoughts? I guess I'm leaning toward yes... but would love thoughts in either direction.

I am due in March & planning to do both. Lil E gets his own PL for his first year, then i will just do a family album.

I am due in June and I am planning on both. Using the baby project life as more of a baby album while project life will be about the whole family.

But, that's easy for me to say now... I had was sick my entire pregnancy and didn't scrap, then I think DS was 8 or 9 months old before I started scrapping again!
The other thing to consider would be that if you at least have both albums ready to go, you could just journal in one for the first few months, then it would be pretty easy to catch up with the other one once you're getting regular sleep again.

I did both and loved it! I did not finish baby's album because it got too big and I got overwhelmed but I finished the family PL album. I recommend creating your plan for the pics and info you want to include before baby arrives. I will finish baby's album but will do a monthly review instead of weekly. I did not have BH baby kit. I used a different one and created my own prompt cards.
|Posted: 1/1/2013 12:45:03 PM|I agree about this year being all about the baby so u may as well do both Im due in feb as well and I intended to do PL this year and a separate first year album for my baby also in the PL style. I will probably do my regular pl as a week in review or something similar as Im sure there will be massive amounts of baby photos for both albums.
This is my first child so I know I will go overboard with the photos. Im excited to have the wrmk albums and divided protectors so I can add all those lovely photos! Now if I could talk someone into getting me the core kits I want I will be all set! Good luck!!

I started baby PL in September and I don't think there is any way I could do both.

I would definitely do Baby PL as your baby's album, but then also do regular PL as your family album. They really are 2 seperate album projects in my opinion.

The first year is all about a new baby. So when I had my daughter in February, I did PL starting with her birth. I used PL as her baby book and I am so glad that I did. Not sure a separate PL album is needed for the family. The baby will be in every shot and how they change your life and house will end up in the baby book anyway.

I guess my big issues are:
a) Yes, this is my first child so if I do both albums they will both pretty much be all about baby
But one day I'd like to give my child their album, and I don't want to lose all those precious memories -- If I do Baby PL + PL I get an album of my own
I feel like I'm totally over thinking this. But it's hard to decide. I'm going to go ahead and take photos like I'm doing both, and ponder it through this week. More opinions welcome and appreciated. At least now I feel like if I do decide to do both, I'm not totally crazy!
