So I've been thinking this morning about all of the ways I'm tempted to be dissatisfied with what I have in my stash. Or that I compare my style with someone else and feel like my style falls short. I don't want to keep doing that this year! I want to be content with what I have, even if I don't purchase another new item. I want to be happy with my style, because it's my style! In the spirit of those goals, I've compiled a list of things I'm thankful for, scrapbook style. Please feel free to join me!
I'm thankful for...
my craft room (so great to have a place to leave a mess)
my sewing machine (I don't have a lot of machines, but I love using my sewing machine)
my small stash of washi tape (I have a nice selection of colors)
my patterned paper (truly, I have more pp than 1 person will ever use)
my handwriting (I like my handwriting)
my camera (been blessed with a nice camera to use)
This is just a portion of what I am thankful for regarding this hobby. |

My craft room. LOVE my new space.
I am also thankful for feeling more accepting of my "new" style. It's actually my OLD style. I have rediscovered that I am a flat, simple scrapper. This is enabling me to finally let go and just start scrapping again, and also become inspired to share my work.
My camera. Middle of the road, SLR style but not a true SLR (which I don't have the patience to learn!), but takes amazing pictures even though I am not that skilled.
My S/O. I know that sounds crazy when it's scrap-related, but I swear every time I turn around that man is packing us off to some new location to make more great memories.
My stash. All the shopping I did when I was so depressed for the last couple of years is really coming in handy now because I can "shop" at home! |

*My cozy workspace - built by dh in the end of the kitchen
*the view from the window in said space of the birds at the feeders and snowy woods.
*My stash of papers and stamps and and . ..

Love this I have so much to be grateful for!
* a scraproom that I created just how I want, that has four windows that let in the happiest light and I have an amazing view from... It's just a beautiful spot in the trees
* my Mac and Silhouette... I get so much inspiration from all the projects and videos here, and when I don't have something I can usually make it or something like it with my Silhouette...
* my printer - I don't use it a lot, but if my anxiety is acting up I can print a few photos and escape into a project...
* my stash... Old stuff, new stuff - I have so much... I sometimes loose sight of that when I see the next beautiful thing, but the little 5 year old girl in me squeals with joy at all the stuff there is to play with... And it's all stuff I'm allowed to use!
* my scissors... They're comfortable and sharpe and nothing feels so good as cutting into paper... It breaks the spell of the 'perfect page', and once I make a cut it's like second guessing stops and it's all fun and free creativity

I am so thankful for the Scrapbooking Inudstry - the manufacturers who make some of the coolest products that I just have to have them. The websites that sell all these cool products so I can sit at home on my computer in my PJs and shop (and window shop) all I want, anytime of day. The great designers out there who are truly talented and share their talent and inspire us via their blogs and through online galleries. I'm also grateful for my fellow scrappers - I have learned so much from you all through these message boards. WOW - now that I think about it - I am thankful for the internet! Can you imagine life (now) without it |
