Hi girls!
You've been very active these first days of the year! Chatting, setting up challenges! I might participate in a few, but I know I won't be able to do them all.. Still have to finish half a year of PL  I sometimes think about quitting, but I love looking back at the part i finished, so I'm determined to finish this year and then I'll have more 'normal' scrappy time after that
@ Monica: love the new banners, still can't manage to get them in my signature though I've sent 2peas an e-mail about it ages ago, but no response
@ Loni: Congrats!  That's awesome news! Just heared today that one of my besties is pregnant as well!
@ Caro: How are you? Looking forward to getting back to work again or not? I had a hard time getting in the rythm again

@ Chelsea and other new gals: I'm Dee from the Netherlands. I'm 26 years old.. 27 at the end of this month I live together with my fiancé and we both work fulltime. I love to scrap (of course), travel, cook (and eat)

Dee: No I won't take any days off to move. We will be doing packing throughout the week and a few days this week I plan on taking some stuff to the apartment on my lunch breaks. Then the movers will move the furniture and everything else next Saturday. I would much rather save my days off for something fun...like scrapping! hehe | |

So, I had a very ambitious year of goals last tear so I am going to ease up some this year. For scrapping I was going to only do 50 LOs but we have 52 in the challenge so . . .And I'm doing PL. It's fun so far. | |

k, as for non scrappy goals I've resolved not to text and drive. I'll start another read 100 books goal after I have the baby.
My word for the year is Family. I want to be more involved in my parenting rather than coasting or frantically trying to keep up. my plans are to spend more time together, make memories, cultivate love and strong relationships, have a new baby and we have a few religious goals too. Family night, scripture study and family prayer.

Hi girls!
So my 2013 word is HAPPY (i talked about it here ), and yesterday i did the opening layout of my 2013 album about it. I'm really bad at uploading picture here, so you can just see it here
As for my scrapping goals, well i need to get started on my Canada album (i just spent the last 4 months there, so we're talking hundreds of pictures ^^), and my PL/2013 album (i'm gonna mix regular layouts and PL spreads in it, should be fun)

Morning girls!
I woke up with a yucky sinus headache, but feeling better now. I think it's just so dry and stuff here. I think that must be what has been making me feel dizzy/off the last couple of days.
Last night Rachel, Lisa, Steph, & I tried video chatting in Google Hangouts. It was soooo fun! We're going to do it again today, if anyone else wants to try it with us.

Sorry I didn't get back on chat last night. Dr. Phil got me caught in his shows and it was over after that. Lol.
My 2013 scrapping goals honestly is to get caught up on both girls scrapbooks. Would love to just catch up on Glorianna, but if I can manage to get both up-to-date that would be awesome.
My non-scrappy goal is pay off bills, and enjoy my life more.
I guess if I had to pick a word it would be grateful. I am so grateful for my wonderful children and Husband and for the friends I have made on here and in my area. I am also grateful to my parents who gave me life. I know deep down I have a TON to be grateful for, but when I hit a low day I don't appreciate what I have right in front of me. I plan on being more grateful for the blessings I have in my life.
I am going to try to finish my book with only 5 more chapters left and rest before dinner. Hope everyone is having a great day!

sunday night 11.20pm in London... and still not in bed (actually I am in bed, but not ready to sleep....
I have seen on more than one blog this idea of word, read a lot of them, but I though, noooooo this is not for me
and tonight, after ready yours I realised that SUCCEED should be my 2013 word, here is why:
I need to succeed my PGCE year
I need to succeed my 2 important essays
I need to succeed the Spanish qualification I would like to take
I need to succeed in finding a good job before leaving for Spain (end of March)
I need to succeed in being really good in my second school to be able to go to Spain
I need to succeed finding a place to live in Spain
I need to succeed in finding a place to live with my bf when I come back from Spain
I need to succeed this step forward in our relationship...
I am going to stop hear, but i think my list is really far from being finish...
After these wise words, I am going to bed a bit stressed with all those goals to succeed !! | |

Sad day, the boyfriend went home today and I'm missing him already But school starts tomorrow! I have to get ready! But first....
Scrapbook goals:
1) Finish at least 2 layouts a month
2) Don't be scared of using up paper and supplies I love
General resolutions:
1) Get more of a social life
2) Raise my grades by getting organized

Passionate - i need to cut things in my life down to what I'm passionate about. I always say yes too easily, I let others expectations and needs take up too much of my time. wow! time got away from me again!! I did better keeping up last month then in the past but still lost track with the craziness of xmas!

I just skimmed over Jan forum so not really caught up...but plan to go back and read... challenging myself yet again to be better catching up in here.
I want to thank Dee for the most amazing secret santa package!!! loved everything!! it was so perfect! in fact we went to Amsterdam last April on a layover and we were there for 8 hours so we ran around and did a bunch of fun things. But i never got any souvenirs! So was so happy that you sent me the key chain!! and the cut out of the wooden shoes!! so perfect its on the top of my list to scrap our pics of that day now!

Been so busy my brain feels like it is imploding! for those of you who follow me on FB know that I have just launched the first stage of my new business yay!! I am launching a website for Asian and Aussie scrappers to buy scrapping supplies a bit easier with cheaper shipping.. ( hope i can say this on here) anyways we are not opening until Feb but want to start connecting the Asian scrapping community and start finding out what Asia is excited about from CHA so we launched our FB page. Have a look for us and like our page...even though we dont plane to ship to north america ( we will to Europe though!) we would still love your opinions... plus we will have CHA giveaways... and we are not limiting where you live for that. You can look for us on facebook Mei Li Paperie. So that said I am heading to LA on thursday!! yikes!! I am really nervous going on my own and having to choose what to buy and not to... its already feeling overwhelming!!

Haha, Caro, for me just by choosing the word things just happen easier and new goals that I never would have made before come up. Hopefully those really ambitious goals of yours will become easier just because your word is succeed and that means you WILL succeed.
Melissa, do you live with your family right now?
Great goals Monica and Rachel, Rach, I need to adopt your less goals For some reason it's easier for me to get depressed when I'm preggers and I get that self-doubt in a bad way.

eeee!! just got confirmation that I will be in Australian scrapbooking memories magazine... I sent my LO in ut they said its not for sure until they sent confirmation... i got the layouts back soo fast i thought they didnt like them when they got it or something. THen it took months to get the confirmation so thought it was a no go!! so excited!! i got a few LO chosen for this year for different magazines but this is my first confirmation! | |

Loni... really? you want to.. its $50 to register i would have to look to see if it is still possible... my mom is meeting me there... although she doesn't know much about scrapping. I signed her up for a bunch of classes... and it would be a bit strange explaining you and why you are suddenly there ha ha.
There is a ton to see and I have meetings scheduled and courses to take and I am worried I will miss things...ha ha plus I love my mom but only hanging with her all week will be a bit much. I do have a business partner but she has to stay here in Hong kong to look after her kiddos so she will help with the budgetting and decision making via skype...but still feel overwhelmed at essentially tackling this "alone" haha But i have no probs if you want to come along...

hi chicas!
I had a pretty low-key day. I spent the day with a family friend who has lupus & is confined to her house a lot. She really enjoys the company We just sat & chatted & knitted together. It was sooo relaxing.
Jen- I so wish I could go with you to CHA! Definitely not in the budget this year, but hey maybe another year we can schedule a YS meetup there like we always talked about! Good luck with everything! I know I'd be overwhelmed. Oh, congrats on your pub too!
Rachel- Yay for working at home! I still am thinking it would be awesome if I could find something to do from home...
Loni- Thanks for the extension! I never did get a chance to photograph my layout before it got dark. Definitely tomorrow!

I have a couple new pages to upload tomorrow, I didn't get to finish them till now because my printer was out of ink and stores were closed over the holidays.

I have a question ladies!
I've been hesitating on doing another challenge because I know CHA will be here soon. And I sure hope 2peas is doing something big for us, like they usually do. So I'm wondering. Do you want another mini challenge in the meantime? Or should we just wait for the 2 Peas festivities?
P.S. I decided not to join Jen at CHA, though we were both seriously considering it for a little while! I just need to work for a scrappy business or start my own, huh? | |

Steph, funny story about that layout actually... there's this cookie container that's sitting beside my desk with the design I used on the lid. So I replicated it using the silhouette software (its basically a heptagon (7 sided polygon) with every corner connected using straight lines) So I found a picture of a heptagon, traced it in silhouette, added the connecting lines and then separated the shapes so I could move them around to cut out the different colours of paper and pictures. Then I pieced them together as best as I could and doodled around the edges (the doodle is one I found on an Amy Tan sketchbook paper, the borders one). I'm actually so in love with how it turned out so thanks so much for the compliment!
