morning girls!
I'm ready to get my scrap on! Can't wait to get started on some of the CHA challenges... although I find some of them odd, since they were trying to keep with the number theme. But we'll see what I can come up with!
It would be fun to do a video chat today and tonight. If you're up for it, just meet in the chat room and once we have enough people, we'll start a video chat!
Rach- Does that mean you're going to do any scrapping today?
Dee- Glad to see you around this weekend!

Lol Rach: thanks for calling me out. I have been super tired and stomach is hurting a little bit. Body changing and all that.
I pulled out a baby book I started working out months ago for a friends son. Hoping to finish, but now I want it so I can be done with a baby book. Lol. I haven't started a layout yet, but I got my supplies ready just trying to wake up and start feeling better.
I also have been looking at all the new products coming out and not really pleased. Not sure what I was hoping for, but hopefully I can find more then two line to love. Maybe that's a good thing though.
I'll be back on later to catch up on chat. |

Dee: How was church? Millie and I will be skipping church. There are lots of nasty germs out (flu, stomach bug) and I don't want to take her out if I don't have to.

Rach: church was good! We hadn't been for two weeks, because of our trip to Berlin and the stomach bug last week.. And it's always good to come back then... Although staying at home is sometimes necessary(especially in busy weeks) It always feels good to go
Just made a delicious soup from the cook book I got from Caro It was a chicken & sweet potato soup.. Yumm! Now off to do all sorts of things: maybe work on PL, make a giftcard holder for a friend, prepare dinner for tonight (braised shoulder of veal), do some laundry and maybe, just maybe.. relax for a bit

Good Morning all! Yesterday was a flop. I didn't do anything, but think of doing something. Just can't find my mojo.
I finally got my maternity jeans in so I am excited to be able to get out the house without having having my pants unzipped. Lol.
Rachel: take it easy and I recall you wanting to do Zumba. Love it and doing Zumba 3 days a week I was able to lose 20 lbs in 3 months and eating good so it's possible. I also noticed way more energy when I was working out. Miss it

Out neighborhood was hit by a vandal/group of vandals last night. True. They hit every single house I can see from my driveway. Knocking down mailboxes and lamp posts. They hit our mailbox, but it was too sturdy! |

I'm Loni, 29 and mom to 4.5. (ages 7,5,4,1 and married for 8 years) I'm due in July, just like Elizabeth and I just so happened to go to church with my skirt unzipped this morning. haha, covered it with one of those tummy band things though!
Dee, I need to check instagram, I bet you have some pics of what you've been scrapping! and your food pics are always inspiring for me. I'm a terrible cook, but I made some actually tasty manicotti the other day and was quite proud.

Rachel: oh my that's horrible. Do you have neighborhood watch? Maybe should start one. Hope it doesn't turn into robbery. I am always terrified of that especially when hubby is working.
Melissa: wow your trip came up real fast. You are going to have sooo much fun. Wish I could see the sights you visit. Lots of pictures! Have a safe trip!
When did it get so old out. Today was 22 degrees out but the wind made it feel like 17 or something. Can't wait for spring. Before I know it spring will be here
I need to get started on finishing up the girls scrapbooks before next year. Guess it's going to be harder than I thought to catch up. |

Hi ruthie, I’m caroline. I’m Irish. I haven’t been too active over the last while as my life is crazy with work and college (I’m studying by night to be a primary school teacher). I’m living with my boyfriend here in Ireland. Welcome!
Good news there though ladies – I am officially Monday to Friday again. So excited to be on the same schedule as A for the first time ever!
Dee, I’ve seen some fab foodie inst photos from you including the sweet potato soup – you are a culinary genius!! All looks so yummy. I really need to start practicing in the kitchen. I only have one or two dishes that I’m really good at and I need to expand my repertoire!
Rach, that is awful re: vandals. We sometimes have groups of kids that smash up the glass at the busstop outside our front door – last time it happened I was inside the house and was so frightened, I thought they were also going to try to break windows of the house. Seriously, where are these kids parents? How is the beautiful millie? She’s getting so big so fast. Am enjoying the insta shots of her! Monica, good to see you too. Have you been doing much CHA scrapping? I am loving all my insta updates…a lot of the people I follow are there. It’s on my bucket list to go sometime. It seems like so much fun. Prob in about 10 years when A and I have some disposable income again…right now, we are not enjoying being poor students again 9especially when all our friends are progressing so well and making money etc… it will be worth in in the long run though….just sucks tight now. So, if anyone is up for a Young Scrappers meet up in 2023, I should prob be able to manage it (although, at that stage, it would be Middle Aged Scrappers!!!)
I am home doing the finishing touches to my essay. It is on philosophy, sociology and psychology of education…tomorrow is the deadline. I am about ¾ way through so I will have a long night ahead of me. Wish me luck

Caroline: thanks! I'm loving the new glasses, I should have switched a while ago I think haha. School workis going okay here, not too excited about my exam schedule (all 5 finals in 3 days and one of them is an essay that's assigned the last day of classes) so I have to be super organized. But it should be an easier semester than the last one with all the memorizing I had to do in Anatomy and Zoology. Christmas break was awesome! I really needed those 3 weeks off, I had no motivation anymore. We went on a cruise to Mexico for a week and then when I came home my boy came to visit for a week. Next weekend I'm going down to his place to meet his family and stuff so hopefully that all turns out well How's your school going so far? Happy to be back on a regular schedule? |

Thanks Caroline! Yes, we are happy to be parents to the fifth power. Middle aged scrappers, haha, I wonder if we'll change the name after most of us are over 30.

I'll intro myself a little. I'm Jen. I live in northern Illinois with my husband and two kids. I work full time for an ag lender and part time at our local library. In addition to scrapping, I enjoy reading, knitting and photography. I am the oldie here by pushing 40, but you gals keep me young!
It's been a trying past few week in life and I know nothing good will come of it. I am trying to stay positive for now and keep myself occupied.
Sounds like you are all busy and I hope healthy!

It's overcast here in NY very windy and chilly. I was hoping to work on my paperbag baby album but my dd will not take a good nap today  So while she runs around and falls down because she's sleep deprived I'm checking out the chats.
I work from home on Mondays as well. My boss gave me that option when I was still pregnant which has been great as I always hated Mondays. | |

My arrangement is to work from home at least 2 days a week and be able to go out and offer physical support to my staff as needed on those days.
Millie still goes to grandma’s for care though. |
