Hi, I'm new. My name is Carly and I'm from New Orleans. I'm really trying to scrapbook more and I really like your Pinterest Challenge. I've been finding that challenges have given me a ton of ideas. So hopefully, I'll be posting a lot. Glad to be here.

Are we supposed to post our challenge layouts here?

1. I am Loni and I am 29, I have been married for 8 years and I am expecting my 5th child. I tend to mother all of the YSers. Sorry! Once a mother always a mother!

2. I've always been a memory keeper, scrapbooking, keeping a journal, etc. So Scrapbooking is both that and a creative outlet for me. It's literally kept me sane these last few years, I think.

3. I remember scrapbooking with my mom years ago! It was back in '95 or '97. My first page was one that had the paper cut in different shapes and I had random pictures of my self from baby to that current age (12-14) and I even embossed some glitter on their and stamped. haha

1.) I am Tessa. I'm 27 years old, been with my husband for 10 years 3 of those married and we have a daughter that is 15 months old.

2.) I used to always journal and want to write things down so I wouldn't forget. Scrapbooking for me is relaxing and my outlet. It keeps the memories alive and that is why I love to do it. Plus it's an excuse to buy things!

3.) I made my first scrapbook page 4 years ago when my 1st nephew was born.

Hiii guys! I've been busy and so tired lately... thinking i'm coming down with a cold or something so i've been sleeping and resting after work to try to fight it!

1.My name is Lisa and i'm 22. I'm from Alberta, Canada and just got married this past summer to my boyfriend of 6 years. We have 2 cat fur babies, Loki and Neo.

2. I scrapbook to keep memories of my life and to be creative. The creativity gene runs in my family (my dad is very creative too). It's also a way to relive stress!

3. I started scrapbooking about 3 or 4 years ago!

I will be back later today to check in and catch up more! Just one question! Loni, did you post who won your challenge you had? Not sure if I missed it... i've just been busy!

Getting to know you:
1. Caroline, 30
2. I never ever ever would have described myself as creative...but I've always had a paper obsession and love notebooks...then I discovered smashing and project life...and then scrapbooking and I love them all. I find the process of being creative in this way very freeing and peaceful! So essentially I came at scrapping the wrong way around!!! And of course, it's all about the memories
3. Around the time that I joined two peas. I find the work of others so inspiring and can only TRY to emulate some of the talent we have here.

Steph- YAY for moving? Same city or a different one? Glad you finally have internet back.

Rachel- I would be freaking out if I had to drive on snow like that. I know everyone up North laughs at us Southerners. School is cancelled here with the mention of snow. We just don't get it often enough to have the equipment to clear the streets. Enjoy the snow. I bet Millie looks so cute in her snow clothes.

Loni- WOW! 5 kids at 29? Awesome! I am 30 and don't have any yet. I feel old now. hehe. You are like a Supermom!

Tessa- When I started scrapbooking I would have never imagined how relaxing it can be. You can get lost in your own little world.

Lisa- Congrats on your marriage! I only have fur babies too!

Caroline- I've never done a smash book, but I love Project life. I am a list maker, so I love the idea of notebooks and stuff.

1.Remind us of your name and age.
I'm Christina (or Hodge), was the YS baby for a long while, but I think we have people younger than 19 now?

2. Why do you scrapbook?
I scrapbook because I don't like to draw or paint enough to focus on those... just kidding. I really love photography, painting, drawing and paper and it's one way I get to combine them all

3. When did you make your first scrapbook page?
Goodness, like 10 years ago? It was a really long time ago, the picture was from one of my birthdays and I got a Shrek poster (and Shrek came out in 2001) But I've definitely gone through a HUGE style transition (as some of you ladies who got to see my first page on video chat know )

@Ruthie, much better, thank you!

This "a-whole-bunch-of-new-people" thing is so fun! Welcome to all you new (and returning) ladies!

Rachel: Monica and I are in chat right now!

Teri: Different city, just about 20 minutes from where we were.

1. I am Stephanie and I am 26. I live in north Texas with my husband Chris.

2. I scrapbook to preserve memories. It is also a stress reliever and my creative outlet. Like Lisa, creativity runs in my family, even the men.

3. I made my first true scrapbook layout in 2001, before that I mostly made cards for about a year. In the summer of 2001, my dad and I went on a white water river rafting trip with my cousin who used to be a commercial rafting guide and several of his friends and their kids. That Christmas I made him a scrapbook of our trip. It is pretty funny to look at all these years later.

Reposting my intro for the new peeps:
I'm Monica, 27y/o, from Kansas City. Single lady. No kids, except my toy chihuahua, Dinky. Living at home with my mom, but hope to change that someday soon. I substitute teach right now, but the work is very sporadic, so I'm job searching at the moment for something more permanent.

And my answers to Loni's questions:

1.Remind us of your name and age.
Monica, 27!

2. Why do you scrapbook?
Pretty much just for ME! It started out solely as a way to preserve photos (which it still is partly about for me), but it's now also become a creative release for me. It's my therapy! Maybe someday when I have kids, it will be more about scrapbooking for them & preserving their childhood memories, but for now I do it for me

3. When did you make your first scrapbook page?
At a Creative Memories party in 2002 - wow, almost 11 years ago!

okay, I started this post HOURS ago and just now got back to it. LOL. I guess I was into the layout I was making. On that note, I got TWO layouts done today. woot woot! That's pretty good for slow poke me!

Now I'm tired. So I'll catch up on chatter tomorrow. Night night!

Welcome Newbies!

1.Remind us of your name and age.
Rachel, 28.

2. Why do you scrapbook?
It is my therapy. To sit down and work on something creative helps me to clear my mind and document my story. I don’t think that has changed even though I now want to scrapbook for my little one, Millie (4months next week).

3. When did you make your first scrapbook page?
I have been scrapbooking since childhood. I really jumped back into the hobby after I finished undergrad (2007) and became a real scrap addict then.

Tell us about yourself:
I have 2 beautiful girls ages 5 and 2.5, have a son on the way due in July, married to my hubby for 6.5 years, I homeschool my children, I knit, and sew a little among other things.

1.Remind us of your name and age.
Elizabeth, 28

2. Why do you scrapbook?
To be able to cherish my pictures and the joy I get from looking through my albums with either my girls, family or myself is so rewarding.

3. When did you make your first scrapbook page?
When I was very young I attempted to make pages, but I didn't really associate it with scrapbooking until 2006 when I got my very first "scrapbook album" and did my first layout.

I have been so drained here lately I have not really wanted to do much. I lose so much sleep at night tossing and turning that during the day I am barely alert. With hubby back at school and work it's been hard. Got use to napping and relaxing.

I've been playing with my school kits from BH and I am excited to get started. They are so versatile and could be used for daily PL which is great. Of all the cards in the kit I want to say only 10 if that are specific to school.

I'll try to check in more. Have a great Friday!

Ok for the little challenge, scrap your OLW or goals for 2013 I have Monica, Lisa, Steph, Christina, and me - not that I count. If you did one submit it to the YS challenges today and I'll send a RAK to you too!

I'm still really tired, but I don't have any big responsibilities (except for my nephews bday party) today so I can rest.

Let's have another round of getting to know you. If you haven't answered the first 3 yet, we still want to hear them!

Getting to know you #2

Favorites:

4. What's your favorite Food? (or foods for those of us that have trouble narrowing things down)

5. What's your favorite thing to do on the weekends?

6. What's your favorite Movie or Show right now?

Here are my answers:
4. As a pregnant woman with outrageous craving right now this is hard to answer. "Butter" might be a gross answer but that's what I crave! Buttery popcorn, buttery baked potato, etc. LOL!

5. The weekends are family time for me. I love just being lazy and hanging out in the living room playing video games or reading as a family.

6. I asked for the Harry Potter books and movies for Christmas. I LOVE HARRY POTTER! haha, so Hubs and I have been working our way through the videos. We are on 7 of 8 - it's only lasted this long because I have a hard time staying up past 9.

I have several recent LOs. I've been really enjoying this CHA crop I've given myself this week.

Insta-Gem - This is for CHA #2, and the YS challenge #23, scrap an impressive amount of photos.

Fairy Wings - This is for CHA #4, and YS #8, scrap a holiday. I did Christmas, an accomplishment for me definitely!

K, I'm too lazy to link more! If you want to visit my gallery you'll see the rest. I've uploaded 6 in the last week.

Lol @ Loni. I love butter too, but that's normal. Butter bagels with a slice of tomato are yummy. Oh just thinking of it has me craving.

After nap Glori is going to play with my Cricut so I guess you can say we'll scrapbook. She wants to make a banner, person and some letters so it should be fun way to start the weekend.

Love this getting to you game Loni btw.

Favorites:

4. What's your favorite Food? (or foods for those of us that have trouble narrowing things down)
Love Seafood (crabs and lobster are top among shrimp which comes in a tie with fish), love Penne Alla Vodka with chicken, shrimp tempura sushi rolls are oh so yum and I love PIZZA. Not just any oh papa johns or something nasty. It has to be NY style with great sauce. Not everyone can make sauce and taking it out the can just doesn't work. I miss NY because I could always find pizza and penne with creamy vodka sauce.

5. What's your favorite thing to do on the weekends? Outings. Spring and summer are best for weekend outings in my house, but we love going places. Seems here recently my favorite thing is relaxing with the family at home.

6. What's your favorite Movie or Show right now? Don't think I have one right now, but my favorite show that is canceled is Friends and I can even get good laughs out of Frazier. Movie is still unclear. I love Titanic and Bad Boys.

hi Loni! I'll be scrapping for most of the day. I have plans to go to dinner with my friend, though. But that's not until later!

I'm really enjoying these "getting to know yous" also! It's fun to even learn more about everyone I've known for a while!

4. What's your favorite Food? (or foods for those of us that have trouble narrowing things down)
Pizza and ice cream! Seriously, my mom says I've loved pizza since I could first eat solid food. That would be a cute layout... if I could find a baby pic of me with pizza!

5. What's your favorite thing to do on the weekends?
hmm... scrapbook? But I also like to get out with friends/fam and do stuff like shop, see a movie, go to fairs/festivals/events, out to eat, etc.

6. What's your favorite Movie or Show right now?
Favorite tv show is definitely Parenthood! Although I've missed a few episodes this season, so I need to go back & catch up on them. Not sure about a favorite movie, but I really am into watching 80's and 90's movies I loved as a kid Yes, I am a big nerd!

Elizabeth- I'm with you on the pizza thing! I'm not sure what NY style is, but places like Papa Johns and Pizza Hut are my least favorite. I like the small, local places. And, yes, the sauce makes all the difference! I also hate when they skimp on cheese.

haha, I totally remember when Bad Boys came out - my cousin & I were about 11 & 12. We would watch it over & over again! We thought we were cool We had big crushes on Martin Lawrence & Will Smith, too.

Great idea Loni! I've been busy, but still wanted to make sure I kept upwith the new people I'm combining my getting to know you answers in one post... hope that's not too overwhelming!

Getting to Know You #1

Tell us about yourself:

1.Remind us of your name and age.
Camille (pronounced kuh-MEEL) or you can call me Cam turned 25 in November!

2. Why do you scrapbook?
Aside from it making me super happy??? hahaha, I love everything arts and crafts and I like to take lots of pictures

3. When did you make your first scrapbook page?
A family friend got me a blank spiral scrapbook and a thick stack of alphabet diecuts for Christmas because she noticed I liked "cutting out photos".

Getting to know you #2

Favorites:

4. What's your favorite Food? (or foods for those of us that have trouble narrowing things down)
I like Sushi!

5. What's your favorite thing to do on the weekends?
Aside from scrapbooking right? Uhm... I like playing video games and jamming with friends on the guitar/drums.

6. What's your favorite Movie or Show right now?
Right now? I am in love with ABC's Once Upon a Time because I love fairy tales and folklore. I also enjoy Parks and Recreation for silliness

It's crunch time at work (tax season woohoo!) so I don't know how active I'll be on these boards. But I am still trying to do all sorts of challenges because they keep my on top of my scrap mojo Also, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence in Bad Boys are hilarioussss

Okay, so let me play catch up on these

Getting to Know You #1

Tell us about yourself:

1.Remind us of your name and age.
My name is Ambar and I'm 34 ( the ol' lady )

2. Why do you scrapbook?
To keep my brain occupied, I have a BILLION things going on
in any given day. When I sit down and scrap, I am completely
consumed creatively. It satisfies my need to multitask and the
end task is both functional and creative. Bonus, I'm documenting
my family's lives.

3. When did you make your first scrapbook page?
Gosh, I would say 1998 after my son was born, those were some
scary pages LOL

Favorites:

4. What's your favorite Food? (or foods for those of us that have trouble narrowing things down)
Ohhhhh goodness I just love to eat. My favorite foods are entirely
dictated by my mood. Lately I'm obsessed with dips and beer bread.
Not healthy but there you go.

5. What's your favorite thing to do on the weekends?
HA! we have six kids, but I genuinely enjoy cuddling with the hubby and
watching a movie or tv show

6. What's your favorite Movie or Show right now?
Our new favorite is Don't trust the B in APT 23, also New Girl & Modern Family

I also finished a two page layout today for the CHA #7 Solitude

I love reading everyones responses and getting to know all of you a little bit better!

Getting to know you #2
Favorites:

4. What's your favorite Food? (or foods for those of us that have trouble narrowing things down)
Definitely garlic mashed potatoes. I also really really like sauerkraut perogies and garlic pickles lately. I'm sooo Ukrainian (my favorite smell to come home to is the smell of sauteed onions and garlic)

5. What's your favorite thing to do on the weekends?
Scrapbook! And also read, I've got way too many books on the go all the time.

6. What's your favorite Movie or Show right now?
I'm a really big superhero movie person so any of the Marvel movies that just came out are good. I also REALLY REALLY love watching Criminal Minds or CSI and trying to guess the ending before they get to it.

Like reading all the responses.

Monica: Brick oven pizza, big slices, great amount of cheese and great sauce to boot. I miss my favorite hang out by my high school. Had Mama in the kitchen and son making the pizza. Oh her sauce was like she stuck her big toe in it if you understand what I mean. ( it was so good it was a secret ingredient- hopefully not her big toe but we all joked it was.)

Hubby made it an early night and actually made it home for dinner and is now helping the girls clean their room. Lol I can hear them arguing now on where things go. Lol. It's just honestly nice having him home after a long weelof barely seeing each other. Luckily this is the last semester.

Rachel: love chips and dip and just got a new hummus dip (let's see how long that last).

I think we should share our very first scrapbook pages. Lol. Mine is a glitter hot mess, but I am willing to show it. I try not to even look at that album much. Lol. I was a glitter overload back then and every time I open the album I always get glitter on my hands.

Look forward to reading more responses.

Good morning, ladies!

I am so happy it's the weekend, yay! We don't have too many plans this weekend mostly just furniture shopping, putting up curtains, dinner with friends tonight and I then I plan on scraping and getting caught up on Project Life the rest of the time!

Will anyone be around this afternoon to chat???

Good morning ladies!

I felt like being a little creative so I decided this weekend I would make meals off of Pinterest. I had bacon and eggs and decided to make the bacon wrapped egg muffins (yum) and biscuits. It was very good and hope to make again soon. Tomorrow is a French toast recipe I found on there too so hoping that's a hit as well.

This year hubby finally decided to get his weight under control and although he doesn't have much time to work out he has been on a good healthy eating kick. When at school and skips dinner at home he has subway veggie sandwich. This is his first week and he has already lost 5lbs. Every pregnancy he puts on about 10 lbs and it's nice to know he's finally ready to take it off.

Felt good playing with my Cricut again yesterday, but soon after we got the pieces cut I started getting tired. Hoping I can get back into scrapping soon because I miss it.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Dee: How would you categorize Homeland? i.e. drama, thriller, etc. I've always wanted to watch but not really a lot of time...

Steph: have fun filling your new home! I can't wait till I get my own place (living with the parents still :/) so I can decorate and pick cute furniture

Elizabeth: I made some french toast this morning! but i wanted to try a new recipe, let me know how the pinterest one goes

I *should* be studying. Ugh. But I finished up a layout for one of the CHA challenges instead. Hahah, well after this I shall study. It's already 1pm here. Yikes. Hope everyone else is having a productive weekend!

Well I'm on the bus ride home from my bfs, every single time we get together it gets more difficult to leave. But now that I've gone to see him and meet his family I'd really like to go again, hopefully for longer next time. If my bus ride and homework gets boring I'll be on chat sometime today!

Chatty chatty!
Looks like I was here on the wrong day - I was out & about yesterday when everyone was chatty and today it's a ghost town in here!

I'm going to be scrapping most of the day - yay! And I'll be flooding the gallery with my challenge layouts. Oops! I should have been posting them throughout the week. Oh well!

Little late but I'm a young scrapper I'm a newbie though so here are my answers to tell you about myself

1.Remind us of your name and age. - Laura Mae and I'm 24

2. Why do you scrapbook? - It's an addiction. Theres something about going in a scrapbook store that makes me so happy and its always impossible to leave without going broke! Also my absolute favorite is getting together with my group of scrappy girls and scrapping the night away chit chatting, laughing and just having fun! I met all my best friends through scrapbooking.

3. When did you make your first scrapbook page? - I've been scrapbooking since I was 14. It was at a Creative Memories workshop that my best friends mom took us to. I had no clue what to do or where to start and the consultant, Sherri, (who is still a really good friend and mentor of mine to this day) she told me to just print some photos from the most recent event that happened in my life. Well at the time it was my 14th birthday. I still have those pages, and they are terrible mind you, but they make me smile!

4. What's your favorite Food? (or foods for those of us that have trouble narrowing things down) - Does coffee count? You never see me without a cup in hand. As for an actual edible, popcorn does it for me!

5. What's your favorite thing to do on the weekends? - Get crafty!

6. What's your favorite Movie or Show right now? - I just started watching the West Wing on Netflix, I know its old but I never watched it and I'm soooo addicted!

I look forward to chatting with you girlies!!

Ok now I've caught up and read through to learn a little more about you girls!

Christina sounds like you are doing a long distance relationship? How far are you two? I'm in one but we are 4500 miles apart. He lives in Italy and I'm in NYC. I just made him a digi book for Christmas I lived with him for the summer so I scrapped those photos and gave it to him and he adored it!! He's in the Navy thats why hes in Italy but hes moving to Maryland in August so he will be state side again!! We will be 6 hours apart then instead of 13+

Loni congrats to you! How far along are ya?

Monica we started scrapping the same way! CM is good at sucking us in!! hehe do you still keep in contact with your old consultant?

I'm making some cards today for a challenge anyone doing the 52 Cards Challenge 2013? I love it and this year the goal is to make a regular card every week as well as a Christmas card so by the end of the year you have 52 Christmas cards as well as 52 random cards! Clever I love it. Heres the thread if anyone wants to check it out and jump on with us!

Excited about the challenges. This year I'm changing up my scrapping album. I'm using part of pl in my yearly album. I take a lot of random everyday stuff pictures, but don't have the time to get in depth for pl. I know I would get behind. I plan on having a two page lo highlighting the month (my Instagram and Facebook photos). Then I'll add lo for bigger events. Hopefully this works for me this yr.

Hello ladies!

We are on our way home. Church was lovely today- Millie wore a fancy dress that her Mammaw bought her at Christmas (it was too big!).

We had lunch with my BFF and her hubby and 2.5 year old. They are expecting again at the end of July. Super excited!

I am going to Zumba when I get home and then I might scrapbook or at least print some photos.
