Ok, so I'm bored and missing chatting with my favorite swapping peas (this means all of you!) This is swap CHAT right? So I thought I would start a fun chat thread.

What have you been up to?

What projects do you want to see complete this year?

Are you doing PL? ( I am and am SOOO excited!)

What is on your scrap desk right now?

I am loving the new video series titles. Can't wait to see what our GGs come up with!!!!

Hi Andrea! I just joined the vintage Easter banner swap..I am so excited to jump back into swapping. I have been making mini-albums. I got the Cricut cart that cuts banners, so I have been making a few of those. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!

I am working on my project life journal cards right now and then I'm doing an individual mini swap with a friend, I have to make a carribean cruise mini and have no ideas yet.
I'm not really doing pl, I feel that the procrastinater in me will not let me finish. I am making an I am thankful journal. I am going to write one thing per day and if I feel like sketching or adding pics on certain days then fine but if I'm in a hurry I can jot down a sentence or two and be done to the day.
Everything is on my desk right now. Including the bird food and mail, I feel like I need to stop and reorganize my area big time!

Hi andrea....I miss your stories on my threads!!! Stopping by to say HI!

Well I have been either entertaining, going on vacay, or working these last few weeks...

I am doing PL this year, so that is my major project to do. I am also doing Project event for my Granddaughters. I want them to each have an album from me to them about our time together.

My scrap desk has all my December Daily stuff on it. I have pics, notes, and all the things I colleccted for it. I have not had a chance to scrapbook it yet. BUT I am going to this month(before I forget everything)!!

I am also excited about all the classes this year!!! They all look awesome!

Hey ladies!!!! Friends! I miss you too April! It has been quiet around here.

Becky, I'm full of stories...haha...it's never boring at my house.

I am about to place a 2peas order and am waiting on my Studio Calico stuff to start my PL album. The kids are off this week so I won't get much done. BUT next week they are in school and I don't start school til the 14th!! So I may work a couple of scrap days in.

My house remodel is complete except for a tiny bit of finishing work. We had to be done by 12/31 in order to receive historic tax credits--our house is 105 years old. We have a new roof, electrical, plumbing, HVAC units, added bathroom, new lights, new porch, new exterior paint.... Wow! I did a lot of the painting myself. But I am happy glad it's over with. Men underfoot all day long was driving me crazy!!!!

I hope to get back in to a normal routine next week.

On another note, I have the Turquoise Edition PL kit and I don't see myself using all of it. I bounce around with my colors and it would take me 3-5 years to use everything in this kit.

I was looking to trade for some from another kit. If anyone is interested, let me know. Otherwise, in a couple days, I will post it in the FSOT board.

Hi Andrea! I just cleaned off my craft table from Christmas a couple of nights ago. It was piled high. I have some tumbled marble tiles that I am stamping and making into coasters and I need to finish my DD. I did order pictures while snapfish was running a special. I am also doing PL this year. I ordered page protectors the other day from we r mk. I am not using a kit but using my own stash. I ordered a big shot and some dies with Christmas money and I can't wait for them to get here so I can play with them.

I would love to see another embellishment swap. Ribbons, brads and the like. I also thought a bingo card album would be cool. We could each do a page. The eclectic sizes of the cards would be interesting.

Can't wait to see what the new year holds.

I thought about doing a "punch" swap Renee. I am doing PL this year and I love different shapes. I have 2 different kinds of hearts and some other shapes. I was thinking that we could sign up for color categories, send our punched shapes in and then get a variety back. Not sure how I would set it up or word it. Someone sent me a sack of heart punches that were almost 3 inches, and I have used those like crazy!!! Whatch-ya'll think?

Hmmm that made me go check out my punch drawer. I'm fairly limited with punches. I'm fairly new to scrapping so I only have a limited amount. I have cupcakes, SU bird punch, Bo ho punch and 2 kinds of file folder punches. The flip side of that is that I have 40+ cricut cartridges so lots of die cuts. That would be a fast easy and cheap to mail swap. I also have ordered some doily and floral dies that would be fantastic.

Well, maybe we can do a "shape" swap with guidelines on size, with different generic categories. I would live some file folders! I have a doily die, heart punches, large scallop punch, dress form die, etc. I am looking for flat embellishments for my PL stuff and think die/punch shapes are perfect

On my desk PL: baby book style. I am doing my baby girl's first year PL style and I am mostly caught up. I plan to get caught up and work ahead with title cards and journaling cards this weekend.

On the swap front:
I would love to do another scrapbook potpourri swap as hosted by **kate**

I would be willing to host if there is interest.

I hosted a color swap a few years ago, and it was fun. You are assigned a partner, and then you send each other items in their requested color. Ribbon, brads, flowers, glitter, etc I would like to do another one.

Sounds like we may need to get some swaps going!!!

I am currently kicked out of my scrap space. We took in half of our "study" to make room for a new bathroom. So, I have to get all of my scrap goodies back in there, plus the TV and a sofa....still trying to figure it all out! LOL. Right now my stuff is all over the hall and in the dining room...its driving my CRAZY! hehe. It will probably be another month before I can organize my stuff and move back in....sigh....

In the meantime, I am trying out Project Life.

Andrea Happy your remodeling is finished! We remodeled once and I was so glad when it was over!!! I need to do some stuff around my house right now. We need foundation work(1st on the list) and painting the exterior.

There are things I want to do like...new storm windows, hard woods in the living area, maybe some siding(so we do not have to paint), my back yard landscaped....but those are not mandatory....just me dreaming...

Happy New Year everyone! I posted on the thread the other day this big long funny post but hit the "reply" button and not "submit" and poof! it was gone...didn't feel like retyping my entire message! LOL

On my table is just a bunch of junk that I need to throw away and then my plan is to start my youngest granddaughter's scrapbook. I just printed off ove 220 pictures so I have plenty to get started. Her b/d is 2 months away...wow, time flies!

So far the only swap I'm signed up for is the Cupid SS swap...trying to limit my swaps to just a few

Rachel I would love to see your room when you are done! Can't wait to get back in mine. We will do a little more finishing work tomorrow.

I am trying to decide on whether or not to host another swap and, if so, what.

Today my husband was snapping iPhone pics and he took a really funny one of me. So I told him to text me a few for my Project Life LO for this week. In the past, I had briefly explained to him what PL is, but he didnt really "get it". So, he pipes up and said "if you had page protectors with 7 spots, you could do a picture a day for a week " I was like "uhhhhh-huhhhhh".... I said, "They usually have 8 spots, one for a title card". So, he is still thinking he is coming up with an original idea and says "you could even make a header with what week it is, starting with week 1 and ending with week 52". Mmm hmmm.... Thanks dear for the tips.

So, since I had his attention, I explained to him again how PL is set up and he thinks its really neat...has asked me to take photos of things he finds interesting AND send me some he takes. I am glad to do PL this year for the first time and feel good to have my family on board. I think this will be one of the favorite "loved" albums.

Also, I was playing around with my cricut last night (it's been a long time since I've had him out) and cut out all kinds of cool PL 3x4 cards using the tag or card feature. I plan on posting some ideas if anyone is interested. I can't afford a Cameo, so I'm trying to rock "what I got" lol

Happy Sunday everyone...and, to all you Downton Abbey fans, tonight at 8pm central, on PBS is the first episode of season 3!!!!!!!

Oh Shilo!! I totally love your snowman and all the adorable things you made!! Super cute!

I think I will stay away from swapping for a little while. Need to pay for my trip to Arizona for a scrap retreat that I'm going to with JoyNewYork and ScubaScrapper and jgpea!! I am so super duper excited! I think Meridy is also going (but I can't remember her pea name as she hasn't swapped in quite some time). So...my goal is NO spending on anything for myself for the next few months so my hubby won't freak when he hears how much I have spent already...LOL

Hey Becky! No worries on the swapping front. Maybe you can pop in and chat from time to time. I have also cut back a lot, but I miss talking to you gals!!

I may do a couple die cut swaps and maybe a PL related swap some time in the future.

Who saw Downton Abbey last night??? Squee!!! Love that series.

I just ordered the Jenni Bowlin mini Rolodex card punch from 2peas and some other paper and stuff I have been eyeing. What did you all order last??

Are y'all enjoying the new video series ? Yes? No? Haven't got to watch any yet??

Hi ya'all! this chat thread is a good idea! I check in on the swap board every once in a while and miss you all!!

Very cool Andrea, that your dh is getting into the project! that'll be fun!

Shilo - I love your colors, awesome!!!

Becky - JEALOUS!!! I hope you have a blast on your trip!

I've been relaxing since Christmas. (well, as much as a person can who works full time!!)

My daughter's been home from school in San Diego so it's nice to all be together again. It's really hitting me how precious our time is with our kids, now that mine are both becoming adults.

I put together 5 scrapbooks for Christmas gifts and that's about as much scrapping as I can handle for a while!!!

I'm getting into my metalsmithing classes at the local college. I'll be taking my 5th class this spring and I just can't believe how much I love it. I wish I had started a loooooong time ago and encourage anyone who loves to make jewelry to seek out somewhere to learn jewelry making. I can now set stones, cut and solder silver, cast metal and do almost anything I can think of. I'm super stoked.

Since it's after Christmas, and I've given away a lot of what I've made in class, I can now post in my gallery. I'll try to get pics together to show you guys what I've been doing. I just didn't want anyone to see it before Xmas.

Well, it's good to catch up with you guys. I miss it here!!! Andrea, do you keep a chat thread going or is this the first? I love the idea!!
later gators! xxooxx

Hey Kristalina! Good to see you! FIVE SCRAPBOOKS! Wow!!! That's a lot of scrapping. It reminds me of when I was super ambitious one year and decided to make my other four siblings a "baby" book. I am the oldest and I was the only one who got a baby book. I had to go through tons of paper and pictures, sort them all out and then figure out who was in the picture since we were all blond haired and blue eyed....lol It was a pain, but it was worth it all to see their faces.

Congrats on your metal smithing class. Glad to hear you are doing something you like.

Becky M, I am jealous too!!!!!

Well, I am about to start homeschool this morning...sigh...I will be happy when DD goes back to school next year. This year was tough. But, she is caught up and I am happy. We are under a flood watch because it has been raining for 3 days here. It supposed to rain for another week....sigh...I am expecting Noah's ark to come floating down the street soon. If he does, I am getting ON! Lol..... It is crazy here. But January is a rainy month for Louisiana.

Hope you all have a great day!!!!

Lol Andrea, they were pretty easy, I gave them all without pictures so they could add those. Makes it a much less stressful job. 3 were Christmas and 2 were Hawaii for my sis and her ds/ddl who are taking a trip this spring.

I had pages already done from a swap (I did 2 spots) in the 8x8 - 25 days of Christmas page swap, (Beckys?) I divided those up between 3 books so I only had to do about 10 more layouts and just copied some of the ones I already had. For the Hawaii ones I bought all the paper for both books and made the two books the same so they'll have a project to do when they come home from their trip.

This is a great idea, Andrea! I've missed chatting with everyone on this part of the site since this summer. I just needed a break.

Kristi, you're jewelery is beyond AMAZING and if you ever need someone to test out any of your pieces, I'll gladly volunteer!

I'm attempting PL for the 3rd year. 1st year, I made it thru May. Last year 2 weeks. So far so good this year. Let's see what it looks like at the end of the month.

If anyone needs pictures developed, Snapfish extended their sale of 99 prints for $0.01 a print thru the 12th. Code is PENNY2013

HI Anna!! Thanks for the print info. I took advantage of it the first round and just received 200 prints. Then, after separating all the pics out to each kids' book, mine and PL, I realize that I am missing some! But, then again, I did print each photo in quadruplicate, so that really would be only 50 different pictures from Christmas and Thanksgiving.

I need to go order some more..... Good to see you here.

I was NOT going to PL, then all of a sudden, on New Year's eve, here I am downloading a photo a day app and making plans to do it...HAHAHA....I already had a ton of the plastics from BH. I was using them in my regular scrapping. I saw all the web pages and everyone's spread and decided...hmmm...why not? The thing that pushed me over the edge was talking about it with my husband. He was excited about the idea, started taking pictures and then told me all kinds of ideas for journaling and layouts...who doesn't like their family/husband to get on board with scrappy project? So, I made my title page and first layout yesterday. I am excited!

Hope everyone had a great day. It is dreary and rainy here in Louisiana. We are under flood watches. Had a bad tornado tear through Christmas day. I have a friend who was sitting in their living room, completely oblivious when their roof flew off...scary stuff!

Anyway, I keep joking that I am going to have to call Noah and see if I can borrow the ark. I am not sure we can take any more water! The worst thing about it all, is I painted my porch almost a week and a half ago, and now because of all the rain, the new boards have soaked up a lot of moisture and my paint is peeling Sigh....

My grandfather passed away today. My mom is having a hard time of it. My grandfather was estranged for a long time. Was very angry with my mom for marrying my dad, so I don't know him very well. I really don't know how to feel. I am sad he is gone. I am sad I did not know him better.

Well, off to cook some dinner. Please send some SUNSHINE this way!!! I NEED IT!

Andrea, I am so sorry you lost your Grandpa...thinking of you and your Mom.

Sorry I can't send any sunshine your way...we got blasted by a huge snowstorm last night.....it is sooooo cold and gray and blah. I am recovering from a nasty stomach bug and this weather sure isn't helping! We got 6 in of snow and that is not a lot considering what other areas in the state have gotten.

No worries Pegster, its 70 degrees today and sunshine....go figure. Next week it will be freezing cold and raining again. BUT, for TODAY, I am very THANKFUL!

Goodness...I am soooo Southern....I could not handle cold and snow on a regular basis. You ladies are strong! I am ready for flip flop weather...teeheehee

BTT....come on my chatty peas!

Ok, I'll tell a story...(this is for mommamoonrn)....I tossed my clothes on my bed this morning as I was about to get dressed for the day, my bra fell on the floor and my puppy swooped through and picked it up...I was running around behind a crazy dog in my pajamas chasing after my bra. The dog thought it was a game and started running faster...it was not very funny at the time...

Ok, what was/is your crazy moment of the week/day?

LOL Andrea... your bra story totally had me cracking up!!! Luckily at this point I don't have any crazy "OMG did that really happen!" moments to share of this week.

I really need to get motivated to work on Hailee's 1st b/d scrapbook that I'm making. I don't know where my mojo went but I need to find it quick before 3/6 gets here! LOL I plan to head into my craft room in a few minutes to search for it!

I'm totally stoked about my trip to AZ!! Any peas who wants to join - we would love to see ya!! Now the group is up to 7 or 8: me, Lisa, Kerrie, Julie, Meridy, Aimmers, jasher, and I feel like I'm forgetting someone... but anyhoo... it's gonna be a blast!! My cousin lives in Tucson so I'm gonna get to see her for the first time since '84 so really stoked about that! My aunt says that she and I should've been sisters as our personalities are so alike. So, we're gonna tear up the town and leave our marks...lol

Becky! So excited for ya!!! Totally jealous too! Hope you have an absolute wonderful time!!!!!!

Does anyone like glitter tape? Michaels has their Christmas ribbon on clearance 80% off! Mixed in are gold, white, silver, reindeer, snowflake and chevron glitter tape! I picked up several rolls for .50 each. If anyone comes across the gold and white chevron glitter tape (recollections brand) I will gladly pay for them and shipping!!! Ours was out

It is sooooo cold and rainy here. Ugh! I would prefer snow to freezing rains!

Andrea so sorry to hear about your grandfather.

My crazy story of the week is that it took me an hour and a half to pick my children up from school today. We had a freak snowstorm that was not in the forecast for central Arkansas. The school is only mile away. I didn't even realize it was snowing till I got the school reach call. I have a child sick with the flu and he was asleep on the couch and I was buried in my craft area.

Andrea I have been on the CHA board and was thinking that you were on the forefront of the feather trend.
