Oh I didn't get a chance to check out the video Andrea but I loved seeing all the pics on fb

I finally finished my canvas project and will try to get a picture before it leaves my hands on Thur. I practiced painting hair on a scrap piece of paper probably 10 times before I actually touched the canvas LOL Luckily I think her hair turned out ok...

Andrea... are ya gonna start a new Swap Chat for Feb or just change the title of this one and let it go on for forever? Either way is cool with me

My husband said it was him or scrapbooking... so I took pictures of him packing and made the cutest page ever!

I got a pile of scrapbook supplies for my husband. It was the best trade I ever made!

Ok, I'm fairly new to Two Peas also and I've just been "creepin" on this chat site; just to get to know some of you ladies. Guess I'll join in. Just finished my first "Twinchie" swap. Have already signed up for 4 other swaps....in a way it forces me to scrapbook....what a pain, right? (hehe)

Hi ladies!
Jumping into chat with all of you! I have been swapping here for years, but would like to get more chatty!!

I have volunteered to hostess a diecut/punch swap, and wanted to see what groups everyone would be interested in?

Also, I was thinking of doing groups of 5. How many should we send in for each person? I was thinking 10, but that would be 50 per group. Too much?

Was going to plan on having groups for white and kraft. Then we would be able to paint, ink, distress to our hearts content!

I want my first swap to be great, so any input would be awesome!!!
Thanks!!

Andrea-LOVE your pictures!! I think the last one is my fav. You looked beautiful! I wanted to watch your live feed but was stuck in traffic coming home from taking Brody to baseball practice. Thanks for sharing the pics!

Also, check your order history-there should be an order with NO total We're finally going to get our CHA prizes. I can't wait!!

Yesterday, my oldest son-Brody, came home from school saying his eye kinda hurt and it was watering like crazy. I put some redness relief drops in it and he said it felt better. By the time he went to bed, it was really red and starting to swell. When I woke him up this morning, he couldn't open his eye. Eye doctor got him in early this morning and he has a scratch on his cornea It was starting to get infected. Today, he gets an eyedrop every hour then overnight I get to wake up every 2 hours to give him a drop. Tomorrow, it's drops every 3 hours then on Friday every 4 hours. Keeping him home from school again tomorrow. Any type of bright light hurts him. Driving to the doctor, he had on sunglasses, his hood pulled over his head and one of my reusable bags over his head it was bothering him so much. Poor guy! Dr. said he should make a full recovery. I am beyond greatful it wasn't the same eye he injured a few years ago! Phew-kinda mentally wore out today!

Jamie, your swap sounds fun. I like the idea of kraft or white. I might be in, just depends on your duedate.

Oh my gosh ya'll ****(BLUSH)**** you are so kind! It was tons of fun and the reason I chose that particular chapel was because the pictures on their website were awesome. Some people say that they go get their vows renewed at other chapels and the pictures were awful. The guy taking them was a professional photographer.

Renee, thanks for the compliment. My pictures from my wedding day are wonderful, but I remember getting them and thinking, wow! I look so washed out. I am white as it is, with a white dress. In all my pictures I am eyes and lips and nothing else! LOL...I blended in to everything. So, I made sure it didn't happen this time! Youtube makeup tutorials!!!!

Anna! I AM SO SORRY to hear that I spend half of my life in the doctor's office with my kids. If we are not in the ER, we are at OT, PT, Speech, cardiology, neurology, hematology, endocrinology....ummm....genetics, or the regular pediatrician for colds and such. KIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope your son starts to feel better. What an awful place to have an infection. I hope you get some rest soon after it is over. Wow, waking up every two hours. Goodness!

It is raining here....blah....about to pack up the kiddos and take them to their Kids Night at church. Hope everyone has a great evening!!!!

Andrea all your appts sound like my life. My special needs son was in and out of all those for a few years. Now it is just pt,ot and speech every day.

Gusgus my husband scratched his cornea one time on a romantic weekend away. We spent the night in the er not the room we had reserved He said it was PAINFUL.

Ladies I accidentally deleted an OP earlier. Is there any way to fix it other than starting a new thread?

Oh Renee...sorry about that. I don't think there is a way. I see that you already starteda new thread. I have been there and done that! The very first swap I hosted. I did that on the PL kit swap too!!! ARGH!

What a thing to happen on a "romantic getaway". Bummer. I had a friend go on a cruise with her husband and two sons and one of her sons, while boarding the cruise ship slipped and broke his front two teeth...what fun! NOT!

oh Andrea... I am getting error messages when I try to click on the links to your pics. I will try again another time and hopefully they will show up.

Anna, hope Brody's eye is much better! Don got hit in the eye with wire quite a few years ago and he was in complete misery. I truly have never seen him in so much pain. When I got the call that he was down in the ER my heart about stopped as I thought he'd been electrocuted (being an electrian, I knew it would happen lol). Luckily it does heal fairly quickly but he ended up with a small amount of permanent damage and sure hope nothing like this happens to Brody!!

I am a space case and never took pics of my canvas with a camera, only my phone... I have no idea how to upload it to here. I ended up adding a small pink ribbon to the bottom corner and have renamed her "Aimee" in honor of my friend's SIL who is fighting breast CA and she's only 34. If anyone knows how to upload to here from a phone, let me know and I will try.

My husband said it was him or scrapbooking... so I took pictures of him packing and made the cutest page ever!

Oh Becky. I am so sorry to hear that. That is so traumatic. I remember when Vivian was a baby and a young woman in our church died and left a baby close in age to Vivian (in fact, they are friends to this day). I bawled and cried. I was so sad this baby would not know her mama. I am thinking about your DIL today.

Part of my training will be grief counseling and I may work in a hospital for a while doing grief counseling and coping. It has always been an issue near and dear to my heart. Many times people don't know what to say to someone who is grieving, but just being there is enough.

You didn't take pictures???? LOL. To do it from your phone, you open the 2peas app and I think on the bottom it says UPLOAD (I can't remember if that is the word or not) you click on it and it leads you through the same screens you would on your computer to upload a pic. Or you can upload your pic to Facebook and then just copy and paste the URL into a message box here. To copy the URL in facebook, you open the picture, right click on it. Copy everything in the box that says: Properties. It should start with http:// or wwww. copy all the way to .jpg. Open a message box here, click on insert picture and paste the URL into the box and it will put the picture in the message.

Hope that helps! Its Fat Tuesday here! That means lots of Mardi Gras celebrations and eating King Cake! Kids are out of school everywhere and it is very noisy! Carnival time!

Hope you all are having a great week...will be glad when the kids go back to school tomorrow!

cbiro,
Welcome to 2peas! Becky Higgins has a lot of inspiration on her blog and website on how to get started with project life. BH blog
Also you can search pinterest for some layouts. There are some great ones here in the 2peas gallery as well. Hope that helps! Everyone is different and has a different process. Its all about finding what is right for you.

Can't wait to see your picture Becky!!! I've been thinking about doing something similar. In fact, I even bought a book on how to do it for my kindle. Its really cool, but very intimidating to me. I might sign up for one of the online self paced classes so they can show me how to do it step by step. Is what you did similar to She Art? That is what I am imagining anyway.

Hope you all are having a great week and Happy Valentine's Day!!!! I need to get after some homework...talk to you soon.

Andrea

altered art canvas

I changed the link and put the pic in my gallery (much easier!!)... it's the pic of the canvas project artwork I made for our hospitals foundation fundraiser. Hopefully it sells well. The only alteration I made after completing it is I added a pink ribbon at the bottom right corner and named her "Aimee" in honor of my good friend's SIL who is fighting breast CA right now.

Becky, your canvas is so cute!! I love it! I'm so sorry to hear about your dd any time something happens to a child it just breaks my heart. Sending you all many hugs and prayers.

Welcome cbiro! I don't so pl either, but I'm hoping to start soon. My friend has been doing it for a year now, and she mixes the pages in with traditional scrapbook pages. Her albums are adorable! As for swaps, keep checking on the forum. There will be some more that will open up soon.

Hope you have a groovy day!

Hi Ladies! I've been a member for years, just on an off for the five or so. I used to own a LSS, but we were heavily effected by Hurricane Katrina and in turn changed everything in our community.
I love to scrapbook & make cards, and everyone here is so super nice!!!!
I can't wait to get to know everyone better.

Ok I live in the little town in north central Arkansas that the whole Mindy McCready suicide drama has taken place in. I picked my son up from school and went to Sonic to get a coke and a news crew ambushed me while my window was down from ordering LOL. They filmed in the window of my car. My 9 year old thought it was awesome. I was just thankful they couldn't see my athletic pants. They clashed with my sweat shirt I hadn't planned on being seen anywhere I had been cleaning house all day. Our little town has been crawling with reporters.

Goodness Renee! Didn't know you were close to all that. I am not even sure who that girl was. I had to go look her up. So sad. You got ambushed girl!

I am teaching my 8 year old spelling....Lord help us all....so glad I only have to do this one year. So glad she will be in school next year....I don't think I can take much more of this.

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Andrea I didn't recognize her from all the news about her this last year. I had to google her also once I did that I recognized a few of her songs from high school. We live in a small town and they seem to think everyone knew her LOL. In a town of 7000 I know a lot of people after 25 years here but not all. I am quite lucky to have quite a few peas here though!

Renee,
So sorry you were ambushed!! I don't understand why the media always does that. They always assume that everyone knows everyone else. However, you are so lucky to live close to so many peas. I would love to find someone doing the all day crops like you all do.

Andrea,
I was in the last twinchie swap and you had made a valentine with Paris tape. Can you tell me where you bought that? I took a trip to Rome and Paris this summer and would love to find some to use on my scrapbook pages.

It was a Cavillini and Co. Paris tape set that came in a little tin. I think it was $10 for all of the tapes (5-6). I bought mine on Amazon. Hope that helps!

I'm one of Wren176's local "peas"-she recruited me to the site since I introduced her to scrapbooking. Her, I, and some other local scrapbooking ladies are having an all day crop tomorrow.

I will be working on my twinchies and finishing up my paperclips for swaps on here instead of working on layouts.

I don't think I have actually completed a layout in the last two months due to the swaps I have entered since joining. Hmmmm.....swaps as an addiction, maybe?

You are welcome! I hope you find some!
I just finished most of my PL spread for this week. I need to take a picture of my son sometime today or tomorrow. He is noticeably absent from the last 2-3 spreads. Does that happen to any of you? Do you take more pictures of some of your kids/family members/dogs than you do others? His problem is he is always whiny and pouty. So, of course, I don't have a lot of photos. My two girls though, are always getting into stuff, smiley, happy and goofy. So, of course, I tend to take more pictures of them.

And, my dog! Goodness! I cannot believe how many pictures I take of her. We have had her since October and she is always in my lap, pestering me, or doing SOMETHING. Haha

Ok, so I got straight up from typing this post determined to take a picture of Alex and guess what he is doing...yep, whining. Because he does not want to share the play kitchen with his sister. He does not like to share. So, he is always whiny. whiny hiney

What companies do you recommend to order scrapbooking supplies from? I have found a couple that seem interesting, but have never ordered online so I am a little anxious.

So, I bought a Silhouette SD used and it arrived yesterday. I am loving it! I am not super high tech. I really just wanted something to cut out a few cursive titles and doo-dads here and there. Browsing blogs and reading tutorials I came across one on Ali Edwards website showing you how to make little glassine envelopes or sleeves from WAX PAPER! Wow! So, this afternoon at the grocery store, you know what will make its way into my cart...hehe

I am excited to try that out! I love glassine and vellum envelopes/sleeves. I packed my PL kits for my swap in vellum sleeves to keep all the pieces together.

How is everyone?? I guess I better go study....3 tests this week....sigh.....

(oh, and Ashley, thank you for the compliment )

So I bought some wax paper and parchment paper. Cut like a dream on my Silhouette. They are cute! Only problem is, none of my adhesives will hold it together! LOL! How do you glue wax paper together? Ha!

Oh my! How is it already March 6th??? I know Feb doesn't have as many days as other months but it just FLEW by!

Andrea, that is so neat the Silhouette can cut wax paper. Never would have know that. Thanks for the tip! Do you have any Crystal Laquer? I love it. I use it quite a bit when I need to glue down tiny pieces onto something. It has a small tip and dries clear. It's similiar to Glossy Accents, just in a bigger bottle.

I loved cutting my envelopes & sleeves with my Cameo. That's all I've been all week. I've actually took apart all my swaps to repackage them in my wax sleeves.

Oh me heck, I am so sorry to everyone who is in a swap with me lately!! Holy cow, my life has exploded with busyness this last few weeks and I've been barely getting my things in on time and I've been horrible about remembering to check in. Sorry, sorry, sorry!! Hopefully this craziness gets better soon sheesh!

Hope you have a groovy day!

I know about life getting crazy! Starting in another week, I will be working 12 hrs/day for 9-11 days in a row for about 5 weeks!! All the extra days will be teaching all the nursing staff how to use our new computerized charting system. yeah, probably not gonna be fun! LOL I will finish just in time to leave for my vacation to Arizona where I'm meeting 4-6 new pea friends in real life!! I am way too excited for this trip and probably shouldn't have planned it so far in advance as April 24th can't get here quick enough! I MUST find time to get some scrappy stuff done just for a stress reliever plus I have quite a few birthdays coming up in May and wanted to hand-make a few things.

My husband said it was him or scrapbooking... so I took pictures of him packing and made the cutest page ever!

I got a pile of scrapbook supplies for my husband. It was the best trade I ever made!

Jodi, no worries, it happens. The last couple swaps I mailed right exactly on time. I usually am able to send them early...but as long as they get there, no big deal! HA!

Becky, I hope you have a wonderful time. That is a LOT of hours. I am not sure if nurses are like teachers, but I had to train an entire school of teachers on a new computer system and wow *handpalm to face...over and over and over* LOL

Renee, to update your title, you go to your very first post. Click on the piece of paper at the top to edit, it is right by the delete key so be careful! HA! Then it opens your original post and you can update the title. Hope that helps!

It is March! Easter month! What kind of crafts, food, Spring goodness are you ladies whipping up?
