Thank you Wren and Gizmo- The safety of my pup is my #1 priority what with no kids and all she is my baby! She was sooo scared the entire day. My leg is painful but the ankle is killing me. We are in a hotel until next week. We were very lucky that it was contained to only the bedrooms and hallway.

Wren- I am sorry to hear that. I couldnt imagine the whole house burning. I wouldnt know what to do!!

I hope everyone is doing okay! I am starting to get the mini-album pages i. And they look great.

(Please excuse the typos, I am writing from my tablet)

Ashley...OMG...how scary! I'm so glad you were able to get your puppy out though. I'm also so happy that your scrapbooks were spared, even though your supplies weren't, but they are more easily replaced.

Andrea, congrats on your 4.0!! Awesome!!! Yea, my trips were amazing and had so much fun meeting Lisa, Kerrie, Meridy, Julie, Marla and Jenn!!! I have met so many awesome gals IRL...all because of 2peas! And some of them are truly my BFFs now! I know I should've come home via LA, but I definitely think that would've been the long way around...although you know me, I wouldn't have minded a bit!! One day I will get there! LA is on my bucket list!!

Happy Memorial Day weekend y'all! Luckily we didn't have any specific plans as it rained almost the whole dang weekend

My husband said it was him or scrapbooking... so I took pictures of him packing and made the cutest page ever!

I got a pile of scrapbook supplies for my husband. It was the best trade I ever made!

Headed to St. Louis tomorrow morning for the first baseball tournament of the summer. DS was moved up to the older team. I think I'm more nervous than he is, lol.

Hope everyone has a good weekend. I hope for sunshine but I don't think there will be much of it. We've had close to 4 inches of rain this week. More storms overnight.

Hi Anna!! Haven't talked to you in what feels like forever!! Josh is currently working in KS right now (but clear across the state). I think he is headed back to TX soon. I guess he's gonna come home the end of this month as he's not even making minimum wage, working 12-hr-shifts, 7 days a week. And now he's getting his belongings stolen by roommates? Yeah, he's pissed.

Anyhoo... hi everyone!!! Can you believe it's June already?? Wow... I taking my 1st day off in June to pull weeds. ugh... but, it's supposed to get warm and I need some color, so I'm willing to do whatever is necessary! LOL

We are taking the 2 oldest granddaughters to the Oregon coast this weekend so I am keeping my fingers crossed that the weather stays nice and we get sun so the girls can play on the beach with all the sand buckets and toys we bought! LOL

Wishing everyone a great week!!!

Hello everyone! As I'm sure you have noticed I have had some trouble receiving my swap items back How have some of you frequent swappers handled those situations? I have pea mailed her and sent an email to her with no response. I have been nice and polite but the lack of communication just makes me mad. Part of hostessing is following through and making sure that people receive their items. Has anyone tried sending them a letter with any luck? I guess I also need to send Becky a note for the flaker board but I figured once I did that I wouldn't ever see my swap items it's been over 3 months though so I guess it's time.

On a different note does anyone know how Jeanette is doing?

I have always gotten my items back, so I have no advice on that. In The past though, if I received my items and someone else didn't I shared what i had. i have also seen ladies share some of the items or send 1-2 extras to the person who didn't receive theirs.

Unfortunately, if Ashley doesn't answer soon and post tracking, she's going to get put on the list. I already see Linzylou has made it.

Hate that for you ladies. a hostess should stay in communication with all swappers until everything is gone, tracking has been posted and all has been received. Personally, I have had packages go missing and I ended up sending my own item(s) out as replacements because I want to make sure everyone who participated correctly gets something nice back in their hands.

Hope she answers soon.

Andrea I received your peamail and will respond in the morning from my computer.

I left a comment on Ashley's blog asking her to come here and post the tracking. Meleah has contacted her via Facebook also. Do you think those are acceptable ways to contact out hostesses when you can't reach them on 2 peas?

I haven't been able to keep track of what's happening on here like I usually do. What swap did you not get back? I will gladly share what I have if it was a swap I was in. That's so frustrating. I had some swaps on another sight that I was afraid I wasn't going to get back. There was no communication from the beginning but I didn't want to be a flaker so I sent my items in. Months went by before my swaps arrived. :/ guess I was lucky. I'm sorry. I hope you're still going to so swaps. I love your creations!

Hope you have a groovy day!

Thanks Renee! I will be on the lookout for it.

Sure, I think it's fine. How else are you going to get in touch with her when she doesn't check in to the thread? I really like Ashley and I'm not understanding why she is ignoring you all

Jodi, I think Renee is missing a mini album(s?) and Meleah too as we'll as Titles from the title swap. Maybe more. But those two for sure.

Yes Jody I am missing 2 minis and Meleah is missing 3. In the embellished titles I think we were both in almost every category. Stansgal is also missing her embellished titles.

I have a feeling that Ashley has just been very busy. She is a new designer for the Ckc. She has been very active on her blog so maybe she just hasn't checked. It's just disappointing when you are waiting on several like that.

Lynzylou on the other hand has made no effort to communicate other than to send Stansgal a really hateful email about how she already mailed. She of course stated that she would post tracking but that has never happened. She did the same thing in my embellished paper clip swap. No communication from her at all. I asked her for the tracking number and she would say it was already mailed. I was waiting on a package that had trouble in customs and I had a fed ex tracking number on it so I figured I'd wait on the other package before I Angeled lynzys spots. Her package showed up 3 weeks late and postmarked the day before I received it I was hoping she would eventually mail these spots out. She has been a pea for I think 10 years so I thought she would be a safe hostess.

Renee I hate you are having all this trouble. It makes me sick. I have always liked Ashley. I really don't think she's been ignoring you intentionally. I just don't think she's been on the boards to see the posts or peamails you've sent. I haven't even seen her checking in on the secret sister thread now that I think about it
As for lynzilou, I have no idea what her deal is. She is completely aware of the situation. I hate that her family is going through hard times but that doesn't give you a license to screw people over. Now you are out all the money for postage and supplies, all the time it took you to create the items, and your trust is broken. Some people just don't care though.

April I agree about Ashley. I think I said in my previous post that she has been busy with new design team commitments I think because of that she is having to blog a lot plus work.

Is anyone working on anything scrappy this afternoon? I hope I get a chance to.

Yes! I think I will work on something scrappy. I have my new SC kit in the house and I think I will play with that....then maybe on to working on one of my modern spots for my junk card swap.

I understand that Ashley is busy and I am happy for her. But I really wish she would come back and finish commitments here soon. Otherwise, she is going to gain an bad reputation for not following through. Renee, I think you have been very kind and very patient. Asking for a tracking number is a very simple thing. Posting them as a hostess is also a very simple thing. It is not an act of congress and does not take long to do. In fact, I usually do mine when I am sitting in my car at the post office after mailing so that I get it out there to you all, don't forget about it and don't lose the receipt. Gotta love iphones!!!

Hope you all have a nice relaxing day!!!

Renee I think you've been more than fair and patient. I wasnt saying that at all, and I hope you didn't take it that way. I can tolerate very little nonsense. You can ask Andrea... she always gets to be my soundboard I believe that Ashley should have made sure that this swap was completed no matter how much blogging she had to do. I'm happy that she is on a design team but she has been swapping with us for a long time and had obligations to you. I just hope she comes back and makes it right. I also hope she isn't flaking in the SS swap!

Andrea updated us to July!!!

Thanks for being my sounding board. I'm not going to stop swapping any time soon. Thank you ladies for saying I have been patient and kind because patience is definitely not a virtue of mine

I'm trying to get my swaps in early. I mailed off one last week that wasn't due till August and I need to mail another one off in the morning that's not due for several weeks.

Won't be long and it will be time for the kids to start school again.

Two of my sons and I are headed to New Mexico Friday. They are competing in a NRA shooting competition in Raton. While we are there we are going to drive up to Colorado and go white water rafting on the Arkansas river. I can't wait! Rafting is on my bucket list. Have any of you ladies been? Did you enjoy it?

OMG... I too haven't been very active on 2peas lately and am just recently hearing about the problems with the 2 hostesses. Totally NOT ok!!!! I will be adding both to the flaker list and until they make GOOD with what is owed everybody, their names will stay there.

If anyone ever has a problem and don't see me lurking here, please feel free to email me privately (BeckyRN97@hotmail.com) and I will respond. Also, I have it set up that anytime I have a PM on 2peas from someone, I have a message in my private email. So Ashley should also be getting the messages, unless she is ignoring them.

ok, I'm off to update the list before my old brain forgets!

Hi ladies! I'm so happy to say that I did have a package from Lynzylou when I got back from my trip. I'm so happy to have that swap come to a close. I also had an absolutely gorgeous album from Ising waiting for me also. Andrea I aspire to someday be able to scrap like you Gusgus thanks for sending meleah and I an album. I really appreciate it. I'm hoping that Ashley will eventually respond so I can send your album back

I did get to go rafting on the Arkansas river while I was in New Mexico and I can't wait to scrap the pictures! I just need to figure out how I am going to do it. My husband says people are going to think I'm an adrenaline junkie. My old Facebook profile picture and cover were my son and I parasailing and now it's whitewater rafting! The story behind the pictures is that I am scared to death of heights but love the water.

Wow there is an influx of new swaps and hostesses! Looks exciting. I'm trying not to overwhelm myself. I have a few swaps to mail off tomorrow.

I think all the changes in altitude are making me feel extremely lazy today! I'm just lazing on the couch today.

Hope everyone has had a fantastic weekend.

I'm working on junk journals today. Have to get everything finished before my classes start on the 19th. I think my swaps may me over until after December

Awww,,,shucks Renee.... Thanks.

I am glad to hear you got it all finally.

I hear ya April. I have 3 weeks off, just finished my last summer final (all A's! YAY!) and don't start back until August 19, like you, I believe. I am going to try to get my junk journals done soon. I probably won't be very active this Fall either. I graduate in May! Woot woot!

On a side note, since I guess we can vent and chat here...I walked in to Sunday School this morning and right off the bat, someone approached me and said "good to see you....BOY, you look really tired...you look..." he didn't finish it. Geez, thanks a lot. That was a great boost to a girl's self confidence. So, later on as I was leaving, I ran in to one of my friends who is also a UPS driver and he delivers my packages on occasion. He overheard someone saying that my house was beautiful and our restoration work on our 100 year old home was coming along nice...and he walks up and interjects: "Yeah, but they live in an awful place..that neighborhood, I would never live there"
So...I left church all uplifted and encouraged....

This town is so weird. It is small and they think that you have to have so many kids, drive this kind of car, live in this neighborhood, etc. They just don't understand why we live in a 100 year old home, drive cars that we paid off and are living debt free. But...hey...whatever. It just really annoys me when people leave their manners at home.

Anyway, so I won't leave on a down note, I hope you all are doing well and that you have a great week! If you are in my junk card swap, make sure you check in on the thread, even if you have mailed, to have your name put in a drawing for a check in prize.

Oh Andrea I hate it when people act like that way!! What are they thinking In our town it seems like everyone is competing with everyone else. I'm like really??? I just live my own little life and don't worry about them

How the crap am I going to get through this semester?? I've had all summer off with no homework!! This has been my first semester off since 2008

Andrea you would fit right in here! Our church has always encouraged living debt free if possible. I know quite a few people that do and have paid off incredible amounts of debt. I have friends that are teachers and work in pizza parlors through the summer because they are paying off their mortgages early. Our vehicles are paid for and I have no urge to go get a newer prettier vehicle! They are mechanically sound and I like having the cash for other things. Like scrapbooking!

Ladies if you want to look me up on Facebook you can see the rafting pictures. I am Renee Torres. Add me as a friend and you can see them.

Hard to believe July is almost over...what the heck??

Hope to see some of you gals play in my junk journal swap - some of you have already signed up and I'm so excited!! Gonna be an awesome swap I just know it

Hey ladies! Good morning!!!

First, I had to come back and say, the man who told me I looked TIRED, came and apologized to me at our big VBS ending service last night! Apparently his wife overheard him and told him a thing or two when they got home. She said: "Gee, that sure is what someone wants to hear first thing in the morning...LOL" So, he did apologize. He said he wanted to say hurried, but it didn't come out that way. It made me feel better. So, there you go.

Thanks all for nice things you said. Renee, I am debt free, except my mortgage, and I LOVE IT! It has allowed me to not have to work this past year and next year while I am in school. I can almost guarantee you the people who look down on me have a lot of debt, but I would not trade my mediocre life for theirs just to have THINGS.

Today starts me three weeks off!!! I have a huge, ambitious list for myself which includes painting the kitchen cabinets, finishing the remodeling work in there, sanding and staining my new back porch boards. Pressure washing and painting the porch ceiling, making all my junk journals. and a myriad of other small things...whew I am tired already thinking about it! HA! Wish me luck!!!!

Hope you ladies have a great day.

Good Morning ladies! Today I am going to unpack the car and tackle the laundry and house. My hubby and other 3 children didn't pick up a thing while I was gone!

I just approved your friend request on Facebook Andrea and Becky.

Andrea Im glad he came back and apologized! I don't know where you get your energy. I am always amazed at what you get accomplished in a short amount of time!

I did get to sit down and work on my modern junk box cards last night. I am almost thru with my first set Lol. I'm such a slow scrapper! I haven't signed up for more slots in your swap yet Becky because I want to make sure I don't overwhelm myself. That and Im trying to make sure I get everything in on time.

I haven't posted on this thread in awhile.. I guess you can say I just "creep" cause I do come in on occasion to keep up with what is going on with my fellow peas.
My summer has been filled with shuffling children around. My husband has been MIA most of the summer. Either gone for work or recently gone on a Mission trip to Hong Kong and Macua, China.
But I will admit, when he's gone I get more scrappin done than when he is around.HEHE
Currently sitting at work. It is rather slow today. Fixing to go surf the SU website. Have a class tonight and must place a minimum order....whatever shall I get?

Andrea DH and I are debt free as well except for our mortgage for which we are down to $43,000 or so. WooHoo!! I did so well at CKC Lancaster, only spent $113.00 cash. the nine classes that my friend treated me to kept me too busy to shop.

Renee - our church stresses being debt free as well. they offer great financial freedom classes. what a blessing it is to finally budget, save and be obedient to what God has blessed us with.

I am so excited about all the swaps. I have to really pace myself, although I'm now thinking about jumping in on that Junk Journal swap with Becky. Arghhh!!! Should I? Shouldn't I? Oh decisions...decisions!!!

I'm in the same SU class as Stansgal tonight and oh what should I buy? I seem to have misplaced my holiday catalog. All this talk about saving and I'm shopping for scrappy supplies. So do you ladies do any classes? CTMH or SU or some other company I have not heard of.

I am in a monthly CTMH card club. We make 4 cards a month and spend $25 a month. It goes from Sept - June. I usually place an order with my friend to reach the $25.00 to save money. It's not much more I want or need from the catalog.

What have you been up to? Just returned from a girls weekend in a fabulous BnB and went to CKC Lancaster. I have been a scrappin' maniac lately. Swaps, LOs, mini albums.

What projects do you want to see complete this year? The classes i took at CKC I want to finish by year end. I still have my unfinished things from last year.

Are you doing PL? ( I am and am SOOO excited!) No, but I'm excited that you're excited.

What is on your scrap desk right now? Piles of stuff I purchased from CKC and the class kits from CKC.

I am loving the new video series titles. Can't wait to see what our GGs come up with!!!!

Hey everyone! I am excited that the swap board is a happening place again! I'm excited about all the new swaps especially the Christmas countdown that Becky is going to host!

My scrap table is covered with odds and ends from my trip. I seriously need to get organized again. I need to get hopping on all the swaps I signed up for!

Treyaut where are you located? I don't remember. I'm in central Arkansas.

Our church teaches financial peace too. That's why I think it is funny that so many people criticize us. But, all of our friends the same age have built their own house, that is apparently the thing to do here, and they just don't understand why we do not assimilate. Anyway....that would be boring. I have never been boring.

Renee, I LOL at you saying you talked about being debt free and then you are perusing the SU catalog. But, if you are debt free, you have money to spend on what you WANT to. It made me laugh because recently, I went with friends to a flea market and I bought $90 in old textile mill large wooden spools. I bought about 15-20 of them to put in large jars in my living room. That was the only thing I went to buy and I felt like I hit the jackpot. They make me happy! One of the ladies commented, "Geez, you must be rich to be able to plunk down money on things like that" her meaning, unnecessary things. It didn't offend me because I work hard, I have saved my money, I have paid my dues and, after all, it was MY money and I should spend it on what brings me the most pleasure.

The first two years of our marriage, I worked, even though I did not have to, and I put my entire check into savings. That way, when we had our first daughter, we had enough money to put a downpayment on a house comfortably.

Kristol, CKC is coming to Shreveport in September and I can't find anyone to go with me. I have already marked it on my calendar. I have never been so, if I have to go by myself, I am GOING! Just to get out the house a day. It is almost 2 hours away, but worth it to me. How was it? Did you get any new scrap goodies? Do they have scrap yard sales? Or is it all new product? I am going to try to register for a class or two as well.

I spent all day yesterday and today scraping, sanding, puttying, my back porch siding and columns. I painted the porch ceiling and started on the siding today too. UGH. It was soooo hot and grueling. I hate scraping paint. Anyway....now that I sweated 10 pounds off... I am going to lay down and read!

Fun to chat with you ladies!

PS: Did you see that I am an Ancestral Pea now???? HAHAHAHAHA

Andrea, I'm thinking the AncestrealPea has more to do with the ability to chat more so than time on the board... Or at least that is EXACTLY how I got mine!!! LOL

treyaut... you better come grab a spot in the Junk Journal swap before it closes. I will probably close it this weekend!!

I opened the Halloween Countdown swap but will hold out for the Christmas one. I don't want to get too busy and not do a good job as a hostess. We've all seen where that went wrong and I don't want to add my name to the bad hostess list! LOL

Andrea, I'm glad the guy came back and apologized. Major foot in the mouth mistake there!! His wife I'm sure gave him the "what for!!" with a little smack upside the head...I know I would've! LOL

My husband said it was him or scrapbooking... so I took pictures of him packing and made the cutest page ever!

I got a pile of scrapbook supplies for my husband. It was the best trade I ever made!

Haha, Becky, I think his poor wife did!!

I guess I have participated in way too many CHA chats to get booted up to the Ancestral category. Lol

Well, I have been painting during the hottest time of the year on my back porch. Been in the 100s this week. Wish I could put it off, but I start back to school in a couple weeks and need to get it behind me.

I hope to work on my Project Life album tomorrow. I am almost 3 weeks behind! which is crazy because I'm addicted to playing with PL stuff...hehe

What is everyones weekend plans??

Weekend plans- headed to family reunion now. Benefit for my sister in law tonight. Raising money for an adoption. Then Sunday is church and family time now that the hubby is home from China. But hoping to squeeze a little scrappin in there somewhere or maybe just a nap.

Ohhh it's a nice rainy morning here. I think I am going to make a trip to hobby lobby an hour away and find some goodies for some swaps I'm in. The men in my family are all off at a retreat. My husband texted me last night and said my 10 year old outshot everyone there including the men except our pastor! LoL He loves to shoot skeet.

So what's everyone doing today? I need to do a little work then play!

Goodness Missy...does your husband work for GE? My husband had to go to China for business. But, I think yours went on a Mission trip? Interesting though.

Renee, I need to go to Michaels and look at their framing stuff for a project I am working on. Waiting on hubby to get home so I can go. Have fun at HL!!! Congrats about your son outshooting everyone! I bet he is strutting around proud! LOL

Andrea I heard you and Missy may get to meet IRL! That's awesome.

Andrea, Gabriel was very proud of himself. Right after the retreat he went to the range so he could "practice some more". He's all boy that's for sure. I found a few things for my swaps at Hobby Lobby. I placed my first 2 peas order a few days ago!!!! I can't thank you enough for the gorgeous album you made for me. Definitely made my day brighter.

Andrea-
His trip to China was a Mission trip. He does a lot of travel for his company but mostly in the states. He has been gone the majority of the summer, which is one reason I will be taking this little trip with him for a few days. It's work related for him but I'm taggin along. Gonna visit family and the Bonus is getting to meet you.
I'm leaving work early today to meet him and head to Alexandria tonight. We will arrive late but be there the majority of day tomorrow. Then leave tomorrow night to go to Monroe and be there all day Wednesday.

BTW-I loved the album you sent Renee. Your work is really nice. But reading all that you do, I don't know how you find the time.

I loved meeting you and your children. They were just precious. My husband asked what we talked about and he found it funny that we really didn't talk about scrapbooking as much as we did our children. But then again he knows I love "little people". If I could I would totally be "19 kids & counting" haha!
