When I got home yesterday, I had the most amazing box of stuff from my secret sis, my box of chipboard from Amazon, and my new Selphy printer all sitting here waiting on me. I have yet to get to play in all the goodies. We had something at church last night and I have work today. I'm thinking Saturday after I catch up on laundry I will lock myself in my scraproom for a bit.

Andrea, don't mention school! I already have homework due and school hasn't started

Missy, enjoy your new Selphy!! I mine!! One of my favorite scrappy purchases

Renee, I was sweating that SS swap wondering if you were getting a box. I was getting ready to have Jeanette send me your questionnaire. You've had the worst luck with swaps lately. I'm so glad you did receive it though

I guess I need to change this to August ...or get rid of the month entirely...

April! You are not white and furry any more!!

I am glad you got your packages too. Sheesh...

My sander was broken so hubby is returning it to Home Depot. I look purty in my paint clothes and Americana do-rag...I am sure people are walking down the street singing..."Heeeeeey, sexy lady!" haha

I got more happy mail yesterday- ATG tape and pics from Snapfish. So now I'm all set to scrap.....right?
Hoping to get some scrappy time this afternoon but w/ all 3 kids gone.... I don't think my husband will agree to me locking myself in the scraproom and ignoring him...Heh.

I just uploaded a picture to my gallery of a back to school teacher gift I made. I used last years twinchies. I actually kind of miss making the little guys. We haven't had a twinchie swap in a while. Oh well I have plenty of other swaps to keep me busy.

What's everyone up to this lazy Sunday afternoon. I sat down just to clear my table and throw the shadow box together.

Getting to be that time of year, I guess...I uploaded a school themed project today as well. I had this paper in my stash since last year and the chipboard album since forever! I whipped up a little mini book this weekend to use for our upcoming Meet the Teacher night photos. If you want to take a peek:

Super cute Julie!

Renee, I used a lot of twinchies for gifts too. They were cute!

I got rained out again today. ugh! I hate when there is something I want to accomplish but can't due to circumstances out of my control...sigh....maybe I need to go put together my vintage junk box cards. I have all the pieces cut.

Andrea I can't wait to put out the fall twinchies. They were some of my faves. I put the twinchies in a shadow box and then I want to keep them But they went to a very sweet teacher. My very first swap was a twinchie swap with you You calmed all my jitters and made me feel welcome. I have learned so much through the swaps.

Super cute back to school projects gals

Renee, I making twinchies too. I find so many uses for them. I had thought about hosting a twinchie swap but didnt know how much interest there would be since we had done so many.

Thanks for the comments on the school project.

@wren: I noticed you had asked about the paper line in the comments. It is called "Hall Pass" by We R Memory Keepers. I had bought it as a pack last year, so I have a *lot* of extra. I think I only used one sheet of each pp, maybe 2 of the one with the cutouts. If you want some, I'll send it to you...just pay for shipping costs...I won't charge you for the paper. If not, no big deal...I'll add it to my kids' pile of scrapbook paper.

April I still have a bucket of twinchies still but love giving them as gifts in the shadow boxes. I keep a shadow box on my end table that I rotate the twinchies out seasonally. I have a lot of swaps going currently but wouldn't mind after the first of the year.

I want to scrap tonight but I NEED to sleep! Not enough hours in a day. Maybe if I get enough done tomorrow I can go scrap with Missy! Yay

Minnesotamom I would do that. Could you ship it in a 13x18 envelope or such with a little cardboard? Let me know what shipping is to 72543. I can PayPal you the postage. Thanks so much. That was a nice paper line.

I'll pick up an envelope next time I'm at Target/Walmart and package it up this week and let you know about postage cost. Is there a number I could text you at so I can let you know the cost before I send? Or do you want it no matter what the postage is?

ETA: I have 21 sheets of paper left. 2 of each paper except for 3 where there is only one of each of those.

Sigh....school...that thing....

I am online right now looking at my schedule and trying to figure out how I am going to do it. I have to be in class an hour away, but I still have two littles here because they do a staggered schedule until September 5th. my inlaws will be on a cruise. I guess my hubby is going to have to take off that day...sheesh. Fun. fun. But, it is only this semester. I CAN DO IT! I hope...

I didn't realize that was your first swap Renee. I had a lot of fun. I ended up angeling several spots though, so I had bags and bags of Twinchies. I gave quite a few away and then framed a whole bunch for gifts. I probably still have some sitting around here somewhere...haha They multiply when you don't look!

Renee, I was looking up vintage tag ideas this afternoon. I can't wait to sketch something up. I will probably do them soon and send them to you really early just to have them done and not looming over my head. I want to make sure I get them to you on time.

Julie, I tried to comment on your project but my browser kept timing out. Not sure if it ever worked, but I love your school project and think its adorable. Tonight, when I cleaning my son's room, I looked up on his mantel and saw that darling frame you made him with car paper and a bottle cap with a car in it. Do you remember making it as a hostess gift? I also have another one with a picture of my dog in it. Every time I look at them I think of you. They are so precious and I really am enjoying them.

All right peeps...until tomorrow!

Yes yes!!! More twinchies! I need winter theme please.

I actually got some scrappin done tonight. It's amazing how putting on some worship music & scrapping alone can calm my nerves and elevate stress.
Husband left to go out of town this afternoon and will be gone til Wednesday. So my plan is to scrap again tomorrow tonight. Gotta finish my junk journal pages for the swap.

Andrea, Missy and Meleah laughed at me last summer at my first ever scrapping retreat because I spent half a day working on some camping twinchies. I was so nervous about my first swap LOL. I hope all works out for you for school. If I was close I would lend you a hand. I understand how tough it can be. At one point I had 5 children in 4 different schools. I thought I was going to pull my hair out!

Julie that is fine! I'll peamail you my phone number from my laptop after while if that's ok. I can't wait!

April I'm great with twinchies after the first of the year. I'm kind of busy till then.

Missy I guess I better get off 2 peas and go clean my house so I can scrap with you later tonight. I hope your scrappy time and music alleviated your stress instead of elevating it. That wouldn't be any funif it stressed you out more. Can't wait to see your girl junk journals.

Well, I guess I really should proof read better. I was posting that from my kindle(I don't really use it for on-line chat- mostly reading) and I guess it auto-corrected the wrong word.
Looking back that doesn't really make any sense now does it.?? Or it makes me look uneducated in my spelling; either way......Sorry.

April, with your schooling, how we gonna schedule a day to meet? I do have a building with tables set up, so if you could manage a weekend Saturday/Sunday get-away, we could plan a time. You just let me know.

Renee, no more on-line stuff-we have a date later to get some serious scrappin done, lady!

Andrea: Thanks for the kind word about the school album. It was fun to put together and easy since everything was matchy-matchy.

I remember the little picture frame! I sent it to you when you hosted a tag swap and I used that paper on my boy tag category. I just found my scraps from that project and gave them to my son. He loved the paper! I recently purchased a matchbox die for the Big Shot and my kids have been having a blast making lots of little treasure boxes. I love it because they are making a dent in my pile of scraps!!!

Wren: I will get to the store as soon as I can this week. I have the paper and two of the die cuts I'll send you. Hope you can make a nice project out of it.

Have a great day everyone!

I'd love to check it out. I've never made them but would love to have some...I'll keep an eye out after the 1st of the year for a swap.

Sandy, she has a photo of it posted in her gallery. I also have one posted but you'll have to look for it. Mine was posted back around Father's Day. I used mine as a gift for my dad. I have plans to give my mother one also. Just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Hi ladies, I am late to this thread but I thought I'd jump in since I am back on 2Peas more often now. Some familiar faces here that I've met before! I am still in Montana for 2 more weeks, we don't go back to school in NYC until after Labor Day, thankfully. Hope you all are enjoying what is left of summer!

Andrea, can you come to my home and do my deck, my fence, my porch swing and let's see, my gate. Yeah! that will do it, then we can crop. Your porch looks fantastic. We really need to do ours, but it's been either too hot or raining. And now we are waiting for the roofers to come and put a new roof on our home and new sky lights. Don't want my deck ruined with falling debris and/or ladders.

Thanks ladies! That has been one of the last projects to complete (6 years in the making) and I'm happy to finally get it done!

Girls, I sooo would take you up on a crop weekend, but with school going on, I'm not sure I could make it up there and back over a weekend being in school and all but maybe one weekend we can make it work. It sounds like a TON of fun!!!!!

I don't really have any scrappy friends. I do open a room at our church each month, but most if the people who come are looking to learn about scrapbooking so I spend my time working with them and don't really get to crop. Oh well. I do have fun though.

Tomorrow....touch up painting and making a honey-do list for my hubby who is off for four days!!!

Ahh....ok. Then why does Tim Holtz use it all the time when he is at trade shows? For example, his status updates say: BTS: packing up for another show... Surely his must mean something different unless he is talking about teaching classes.

It can't be back to school for him? I am confused! LOL I am going to go google it!
