We take so many and I am bad to not look at mine right away...but I am home today and uploading my photos off my card to my computer {like so many of us right now!} and I want to just pause time and take in the joy of all the pictures.

My boys are older now and those of you with older children know the time comes when you are not taking 27 pictures a day any more. And so when we get a treasure trove of photos of our older children it is really truly a treasure.

I have to say every year since the boys were little I have taken a picture of them in front of the tree in the Christmas PJ's. I love these pictures. I love the assortment of them. I love remembering the hunt for the PJ's and I could tell you where I bought every set of them by looking at the photos. And I could tell you where we lived at the time by knowing where I bought them.

Isn't remembering wonderful?

What was your favorite photo taken in December - and why?

My granddaughter wanted WiFi for Christmas (she has it at my house, but she wanted it at home). I wrapped up a box of "air" - the pillowed air packs that fill shipping boxes - with a note that they represented the WiFi that would be installed on Dec. 27. I managed to capture her look of total happiness...so that's definitely one of the favorite photos.

My favorite was not at all holiday related...it's a picture of the Empire State Building that I took on a foggy day. Most of the building was obscured by the fog so only the widest base is visible. It's framed perfectly between two buildings on the corner and it looks gloomy & foreboding.

Me, my two daughters, my grandson and three of my closest friends with Mickey and Minnie all dressed up in their holiday clothes in front of the Christmas tree at the Polynesian resort.

We just happened to be walking through after we did the Disney hotel tour to see all of the decorations and there they were!

A series of shots of me and SO during our first big snowstorm. I'm actually going to print one of them pretty big for my wall.

My favorite photo taken in December was not taken by me but of me. I'm holding my DGS for the first time. He really bonded with me during our visit to Colorado. My favorite that I took may be of DH with DGS, for similar reasons.

I love the one I got of my kids with Santa. Just seeing the excitement in their eyes makes me get all warm and fuzzy!

My favorite pic of December would be of my youngest DD standing in front of the Christmas tree holding her new American Girl doll Josefina with so much joy on her face! It was priceless!

We took a ton of photos as we had a TON of family in town and we had our grand-daughter in town (first little girl in the family since my dd)
I have to say my favorite photo so far is her "kissing" my dh in front of the fireplace... totally impromtu but the fire is going and the stockings are hung in the background and she is all over him with her little mouth wide open (her kissing is more like a big lick right now lol)

LOL I just checked my phone camera I have 101 pictures on it and I recieved the phone on xmas morning!! Iguess I should look at them too.

I surprised my mom with a picture of my family and my sister's family taken by my friend who is a photographer. She took so many amazing pictures. I can't pick one, but all of the pics from the photo shoot. My mom was so surprised and cried when she saw the picture of her her daughters and their families and the one of just her grandchildren. Priceless!

I took my grandsons (2&4) to starbucks for hot cocoa. My youngest come behind me on the couch and the older one was sitting next to me and my dd took a picture. I don't include myself in very many layouts, but I made sure I was in a few pages in my december daily. I'm hoping to to do the same with PL.

I set up melted chocolate, sprinkles, marshmallows, and spoons for my girls to make these chocolate stirring spoons. They had been drinking hot chocolate everyday so they loved the idea of stirring it up with chocolate spoons and making it more chocolatey. I loved getting pictures of them giggling and having fun.

I have 3 actually. . .one of my 2 kids with my Dad and stepmom. This is especially priceless because my Dad was very sick around Thanksgiving and I really didn't think he would be here for Christmas. Another is of the 4 of us. . .each wearing a different Christmas shirt. My DH, The Grinch, me, Hello Kitty, DS (17), Snoopy and DD (13), the characters from Rudolph The Red-nosed Reindeer. DD is autistic and doesn't like to look at the camera so it is very hard to get a good picture of her. And the other is of a dusting of snow at night (Christmas Eve) on the Christmas lights. I'm going to scrap all 3 of the pictures!
