Click the link and scroll down to the post about their new PL system:
Link

Seems a bit snippy. I wonder if they are upset that Becky decided to work with American Crafts or maybe she had to work with them because WeR planned to do this. Lots of mention of originality, but it looks like a direct copy of Becky's product. Thoughts?

I love the 3x4 punch idea but not the price

The punch is awesome. It will probably be something I will purchase if it is available at Jo Ann's, Michaels or Archivers. The 30 to 50% off coupon will make it much more affordable. TFS!

There seem to be lots of companies cashing in on Becky's Project Life idea. I guess she had a good idea there huh?

The punch looks interesting. Not sure I would need to buy it though.

I would rather use my trimmer and spend money on something fun than that punch. I don't see the point. It saves 2 seconds?

the 3 x 4 punch looks cool.
I'm not getting how the envelope thing would work. With only one cut?

I'm stoked! I think the punch will make it much easier to scrap your stash with PL.

Ok, I watched the video for the envelope thing. It's pretty cool. But I still don't get the one cut part. If you have to pre-trim your paper to size, there's a good chance you're making more than one cut.

Ditto ! Wish it was coming out before June. Although, since I'm using BH pages, a true 3x4 wouldn't fit, correct?

I'm just starting to use the WRMK way of scrapping with a little project life added. And, I just watched the video of the envelope maker and I think I want that. Oh man, I'm in trouble.

Before BH and PL concept, Provo Craft had "Qwikits". Coluzzle had cutting templates that fit all the sizes of the dividers in the page protectors.

We R MK's had the divided page protectors before BH had her PL concept. In fact, BH used to use those protectors prior to PL concept.

Pebbles released those 4x6 journaling inserts years back.

I would say that PL is an off-shoot of Qwikits and WRMK.

I'm actually using the WRMK. I tried to do PL and it stressed me out. I like the idea of not always doing 12x12 layouts. I'm just stArting to scrap this way. I bought a WRMK album and a bunch of the pages and can't wait to start.

Love that punch! (assuming it's the right size for the PL protectors). If you can't wait until June, I think My Favorite Things now makes a 3x4 die that was made with PL in mind (though you should check the measurements just to be sure I'm right).

ETA: I just checked the MFT die and it's 2.9 x 3.9. The corners aren't as nicely rounded as the WRMK punch, though...

I think they come up with neat ideas.

that bag system.

And the punch IS very cute....but I don't know if I would spring for it. Even being the tool gal I am.

Thanks for sharing the link!

I think I might still have some of those Qwikits

I think PL introduced the 3x4 insert idea, but Pebbles definitely had the 4x6 cards and divided page protectors out for quite awhile. I saw those at Hobby Lobby long before I heard of P365.

I am kind of interested in the punch. I am one of those people that cannot manage to get a straight line, no matter what trimmer or measuring instrument, so being able to pop a photo or some paper in there and be done with it would be awesome

That punch is awesome, but not at all a fan of the kits they have to offer. Seems like everyone wants to ride the PL gravy train. Wish they had just come out with better colors.

I think a punch like that would be a must have for someone doing PL. Yes, yo could buy more embellies, but the minute you save for every single 3x4 page that adds up to a lot of time over the life of a 365! Especially for those that are very limited on time.

I would say that PL is an off-shoot of Qwikits and WRMK.

And they might be a off-shoot of the 2-up photo albums that probably came before that system. BH's PL is nothing new, she just knows how to market well.

and BLAH (excep Bloom which is too girly) with their color choices. Everything is so muted lately.

I want it! Yes, I can use my paper trimmer and corner rounder or even my Silhouette, but for shapes/sizes like this that I use so often, a quick, easy manual tool is sometimes best.

It's going to be a long wait until June!

Scrapworks had an album & system that utilized divided page protectors as well. You are right Becky just knew how to market it... Everything old is new again!

And if you remember Stacy Jullian did something with 2 up albums back at Simple Scrapbooks years ago...

I would buy that punch. I would probably even pay full price if necessary. But only if it fits in the BH page protectors.

I predict 10,000 posts asking the actual size between now and June.

Umm, yeah...Im gonna "need" that punch!!!! I have to say that I love WRMKs tools, page protectors and albums!!! Their albums are all that I use, but I am not interested in the ones shown with their kits...I prefer to have all black albums {yeah, I may or may not be a tad OCD!!!}. As for the kits, I will not buy those...I will use papers that coordinate with the theme/pics that will be on the layouts instead.
