It's currently peacock blue. I would paint it back to white. And add a painted piece of storage furniture like this:

I use the dining table as a work surface. I would LOVE to replace it with a desk with drawers. I hate that everything has to sit on the table while I work. DH forfeited the room, but he's not ready to give up the table in case we ever use it for its original purpose yet...LOL

My scrap room is a 3rd floor loft with all built ins. I love it - but the wood is all maple and oak ( not my style). My husband talked me into doing that. I'd like to paint all the cabinets white.

Just one thing? Well,I guess I'd not have it in the basement for starters.
The rest of the things I'd do involve me having more money! Maria

I would add better lighting. I find myself scrapping in the family room because the lighting is better.

1) Bigger, much bigger
2) Only have scrapbook stuff in it, no odd and ends
3) A garbage fairy to come in and take out the garbage.
4) A vaccuum fairy to come in and vacuum after a make creative messes.
5) More play time.

L shaped work space. My room is pretty large (used to be our master) but it is also my office, the kids' craft area and now my dh wants to use it for small weights too (not a giant set). My scrap space takes up half the room along the long wall.

Replace the wire cube storage with expedit & the amount of stuff. I have been trying to purge but it takes time away from scrapping....

I would have storage pieces like that hutch in exactly that color scheme. I am looking to find pieces to refurbish just like that for when we move and I will be in the dining area of our apartment. I have paired down supplies and will be able to pull this off if I can find the right pieces. Right now I would love to have more drawers and closed door storage. I can't scrap with all the the "stuff" out and in plain sight, clutters my mind.

I'm an old pea with a forgetful memory (can't remember old login info)....please cut me some slack LOL!!!

I think:
The space would need to expand to accomodate a center island!!!

That would take care of storage and workspace issues.... and a scrappy maid would be nice too!

More table top work surface. I have just a run of the mill desk now, and space goes fast once I pull out a bunch of supplies for a page. More work space = more room to spread out and even leave my cameo setup all of the time.

I am so lucky to have a dedicated room for my stuff, so my wants are pretty frivolous compared to many.

1. More table top / desk / work space. I guess I like to spread out when I scrap, because it seems like I run out of room as soon as I start working on a page.

2. More windows. And I wish there wasn't a dead tree right outside the main window that I currently look out of.

3. I wish the room could be 100% scrapping / office stuff, and not misc storage. Empty suitcases in the closet = yuck!

I would like more table top space as well....a run to IKEA in my future? Maybe....

Also the walls of my room are too pink...but it works to cheer me up in the winter so I'm going to leave it.

I've got a spare bedroom full of stuff - I'd have a bigger room! And I'd have more flat surface to scrap on.

Well, I would eliminate that one big pile in front to start with! In the long run, I would find a way to merge it with the kitchen.

My scraproom will be the last thing to be redone in our house - we bought it a year ago, great bones.. TERRIBLE decor... so when it is changed i will

1. change the gold curtain fixtures/light fixtures
2. get new nice curtains - these things are so ugly
3. remove the wallpaper and paint a bright cheery color - probably a green or aqua
4. change the carpet to hardwood or faux hardwood - the carpet catches too many little pieces of things
5. get better table for my cricuts and hopefully by then cameo
i love all the storage i have,so i wouldn't do much with that, except maybe rearrange a bit

Right now I work at a large library table and have a narrow library table w/hutch against the wall behind me. It would be nice to have another library table w/hutch against the wall to my left.

So my answer is:

I would have a u shaped work area with hutches on 2 sides.

1. It would be clean.
2. S/O's hunting gear would NOT be stored in the only closet. This is
the thing that is keeping me from emptying a really large storage
container full of albums and getting them shelved.

Item number two is gonna take a little bit. Item number one is my own darned fault, and I will be correcting it TONIGHT. I am ashamed that I have been so lazy in tidying up in there. I'm lucky enough to have my own space, and right now I feel downright unappreciative.

I would add an island with built in shallow 1" deep 13 x 13 drawers, like map drawers: no more crumpling on something 12 x 12 with an added strip on it. The island would be the perfect height for me to scrap standing up (my preferred method of scrapping). Lots of Ott Lites and maybe an OttLite ceiling fan: a girl can dream, right?

One last thing: a cleaning lady other than myself, just to clean the scrap crap. I like it neat but it's a challenge to find the energy to put it all away when I've spent all my effort on directing my mojo and creativity.

I would move it to a house with a view overlooking the ocean.

On the way there, I would stretch it out, change the flooring, and add a sink.

The rest I can handle on my own....lol

If its only 1 thing I could change it would be clean!!!! Right now it is along one wall of my bedroom and my table seems to be the "catch all" spot. I had my own room once and had to give it up for my husbands kids. Someday maybe I'll have it back.
