OK, so we're meeting for the crop at Crafts Direct in St. Cloud on January 12, and at Archivers in Roseville on February 9, correct?

Anyone carpooling to St. Cloud? What time are most of you planning to arrive and depart?

I'm driving and I believe Sarah is riding with me. I could pick you up if it's along the way. Planning on arriving about 9:30-10:00 and leaving at 7:30. Hopefully weather cooperates

Yes, I hope the weather cooperates! I don't drive in the snow yet, lol.

I'm in Lake Calhoun/St. Louis Park. Is that out of your way?

I plan on being at both crops when the doors open. I will be staying at the CD crop until 7:30. My time schedule for the Archivers crop is still pending. I may just be there during the day or I may stay for the actual crop too. I should have final details regarding that by the time of the CD crop.
Paisley's Garden - So far it looks as if Sarah, Angel Barbie and myself will be attending the CD crop. rhiansmom & Lynette are still unsure if they will be able to attend. We would love it if you could join us! You do need to sign up. When you do ask to be added to the Sarah B. / Two Peas table(s). Please, let us know if you have any other questions.

I am still on the fence about CD... I may have a work event that I have to attend that day... it's up in the air still. If I go I'd love to carpool. I live in Chisago so I'll be going Hwy 8 to 35W South, to 694 West to 94 West if a carpool would work?

Map quest says 35E north to 694w turning into 94w. If there is a fast food place or something shortly after you get on 694 (Brooklyn center ?) I could pick rhiansmom and Barbie up there and you could leave cars.

Too bad these dates are the same dates that I had planned my crop get togethers at another facility near the cities; would have loved to meet all of you. I will have to join you guys another time; maybe in the month of March or April unless we have another early spring. Then scrapping gets put on hold so I can enjoy the fresh air on my bike as I train for the MS150 and other rides throughout the summer.

I am not 100% yet on the CD crop on the 12th. I need to make sure its in the budget first. LOL!
I might just go up there and check the place out, and say hi though.

I am in for both and planning to carpool with angel, we just need to figure out where, but I plan to be at both and a friend if mine from Becker is cropping at CD too. Angel, will you come across 494? Will pea mail you for some pick up ideas. There is also a few park and rides up that north corridor to pick up Barbie, etc...maple grove worst case has one on hwy for sure.

Paisleys Garden - I forgot to mention that I live in Big Lake. I hope to see you at CD. We would love to meet you!

rhiansmom & Christina - I hope that you can both attend the crop!

Christina - I understand what you are saying about the budget. If CD doesn't work for you maybe you can plan on Archivers. You could go during the day before the actual crop. It still gives you plenty of time to do some scrapping and meet everyone. To cut costs further, you could pack a lunch. Then the only costs would be gas and anything that you purchase.

Sarah - Just curious, what is the first name of your friend in Becker?

Big Bummer! Does that mean that the only ones who have spots are Sarah, Angel & myself? If so; would anyone be interested in doing an additional Jan. crop so; that more people may attend?

I still have a few spot open for my crop get together on Jan 12 in Dayton MN. the cost is only 10.00 per/person; lunch and dinner is not provided but there is a kitchen there so you can bring something if you want or enjoy one of the many nearby restaurants.

The time of the crop is from 9:00 am until 11:00 pm.

email me if you are interested, I have 3 spots available.

Robin, I don't want to cancel if you and Sarah still want to go and not sure if they would do a refund anyways, just really hate to drive that far if more can't make it. But I have not been there so it will fun to see.

That's a bummer! I suppose St. Cloud probably doesn't have any other places for folks to crop, so it filled quickly.. Darn! I am still planning to go, but if you don't want to, I can drive myself. My friend from Becker that is coming is named Michelle.

Maybe others can wait until a bit closer and see if people canel?

I might be able to do another Jan date, if you all want to do something else as well...

Make sure you book for Feb at Roseville Archivers for the 9th, they have the buy 1 get 1 back through end of Jan, so that might fill up too....

I'm on the waiting list at CD, but it doubt it will do any good. I am up for any other date instead of or in addition to. I am really bummed about missing the CD crop next weekend! I guess scrapbooking is a lot more popular up here than down in TN, because even if you were able to find a crop to attend, it would never sell out! So it just never occurred to me that it would or I would have called sooner.

I think that the reason the the CD crop filled up so fast is as Barbie said; there isn't any other place in the area. Other reasons include: the scrap department being very popular and they hold a nice crop (food, etc.) I still intend to attend the crop and am open to going to another one in Jan. I think that we should plan for the 26th. That way those are attending the CD crop will have a week in between crops. Sarah and Angel are driving quite a distance to attend the CD crop so; it would be nice if our other Jan. crop is a little closer to home. I see that Scrapbooks Too will is reopening so we could consider going there, a different Archivers, or. . . Does anyone have preferences or suggestions?

Sorry! I guess that I should hasve been more specific on that last post. I am actually wondering if others that haven't posted yet would be interested. I am also looking for suggestions on dates and locations so; people can make plans to attend. I know that it gets more difficult on short notice.

Well that goes right through downtown msp, lowring park, near baseball stadium, etc... So we could meet her near any thing along there....just need to find easy in off ramp but its probably very close to where she lives.

Yeah Barbie! Did you tell them you want to sir with us too? Crossing my fingers for good weather!

The weather app on my phone shows cold and cloudy in MSP on Saturday, but cold and snowing in St. Cloud. As much as I want more snow, I DON'T want it when I have to drive somewhere!

CD has a 40% coupon that you will receive at the door. They also have 20% off everything at their close out store (next door to CD). You may use a Michaels and Jo's coupons there too (all at the same time). Here is a site that has current Michaels and Jo's coupons. Remember you will pay $1 per coupon and that goes to charity. Sorry, I forgot how to link.

OK ladies, looks like we are in for some nasty weather tomorrow. How does that affect our plans? I know I'm not driving in it. They are saying the roads will be very slick as all this rain freezes tonight, then blizzard conditions moving in from North Dakota.

Forecasst has changed the last few days and is going to be fine... only 10% chance of snow, only bad part will be cold (18 degrees) and 25 MPH winds, but no rain or snow in sight! All crap way north of us (and St. Cloud) by 6am tomorrow. I am pretty sure we will be fine, but watch tonight's forecast again.

Barbie - do you want to ride with Angel and I? PeaMail Angel and we could find a place to pick you up if you'd rather not drive...

Hope you guys have a blast and I'm sad I won't be there.. turns out I don't have to do much work tomorrow like I had anticipated but it is going to be a busy 6-7 months so I'll enjoy my weekend of doing nothing.

Did you see that the Scrapbook Expo is coming to Minneapolis?

www.scrapbookexpo.com

I'm hoping to go.. and my DH was so wonderful. He came home the other night saying he met the neighbor lady and she scrapbooks! He was arranging with her a retreat in March and told her to count on my going (I guess she has been to this place before).

I'm torn between not wanting to drive if the weather gets nasty, and wanting to be able to come and go on my own schedule, lol.

None of the photos I sent to the lab for this weekend made it here in time, so I am scrambling to find stuff to take with me this weekend.
