Things have just been crazy here. I had that unexpected trip to Florida, and now I leave for the wedding in NY in just a few days. And I'm supposed to be finding a new place to live. There's been no time for scrapbooking, unfortunately.

Things should settle down after the wedding, hopefully. At least for a little while.

I miss scrapping with you guys!

Sarah, Angel & Lynette - Thank you for a wonderful day of scrapping, chatting & laughter. I have been feel rather down lately and the three of you did an amazing job of lifting my spirits. I always learn so much about scrapping when I am with all of you (rhiansmom & Barbie too) and I also learn a lot about myself

rhiansmom - I have added your FIL to my prayers. May the Drs. and medical staff have the knowledge to care for and support him in the best possible way.

Barbie - I am sorry that things have been so rough. May all things work out positively. I'm looking forward to seeing pics of your DD's special day.

I had a great time too Robin, and was thinking the same when I got home about how much fun and how quickly we've gotten to know each other in the few times we've all gotten together! Now - you just need to get more sleep Robin!!! LOL... so what is our next date, I don't know if we finalized...

Scrappin Chattin is set for July 13/14 with Patrice, and that is the same dates we were looking at Pine City... so I guess we need to decide, rhiansmom and Angel - what do you think? Anyone else doing either of these? I am guessing we would have to call and reserve Pine City pretty soon if we did that - or we could always just do a regular weekend there another time too..

Anyone want to do another Archivers date? I have a lot to get done, so I would love to do another day between now and end of July too - and this might be too crazy - but we could go to a different Archivers - gasp!

Barbie - when is the wedding, next weekend or 2 out, I can't remember.. Hope it's wonderful, can't wait to hear about it as well as all the other stuff you've been up to. You mentioned looking to move, staying within the city or looking in the burbs?

Hi gang! Sarah, Angel, Robin, I had a blast scrapping with you on Saturday evening! You are such a welcoming group, I really enjoy getting together when I can. And I had so much fun finishing so many UFOs from the bottom of my scrap bag!

I'm definitely opting for Scrappin and Chattin July 13-14, hard to beat $10/day and 10 miles from my house. Not to mention I promised Patrice a viewing of an album full of completed LOs, she's never seen me finish anything before, LOL! Pine City is on the spendy side for me right now, as I've got that new Thicker addiction to feed.

And I'd be up for another scrap day at an A's--any A's. This coming weekend is packed full, then we get into the week of the 4th, but July is looking pretty wide open except for the Dayton weekend.

Sarah - Have fun with rhiansmom!

I would love to get together again! I am booked this weekend, the weekend of July 4th and the weekend of the Scrapbook Expo. It looks as if we will need to plan around Pine City and the Expo. Then pick a date and see who can attend.

Thanks for another great day of friendship and scrapbooking! It is always nice to see everyone. I leave for Bemidji June 29 until July 6. I wuold love to do a weekend at Pine City because it would be fun to do an overnight with everyone, but seems like scrappin and chattin works better for most that weekend and that would be fine. I would probably just do a day since its a drive. Maybe we can find another time for pine city. I think I can make the expo to shop, not sure about a crop, Jenna may end up having soccer. Barbie and Niatra, you were missed on Saturday, it's been a while since I have seen you.

I agree Angel, I think pine city overnight would be fun, I know Patrice and Deanna were both interested in doing that some time too, so lets do scrappin and chattin in July and we can talk to then about a date for Pine City then. I also have been only doing the Saturday from 9-10 when I go there with the drive like it is...

Ms. Paisley is the organizer, I would say Peamail her your email is probably best way (or send it to me and I will pass it on, I don' think I have emails for most of you!) I emailed her and told her about the interest here so she'll look for it..

I am guessing we will do pot luck on food, they have a kitchen and fridge we can use so we usually bring crock pots, salads and desserts to share for meals and they have some drinks you could buy but most of us bring our own there too.

Hi guys. Hope everyone is doing well. I've missed all of you!

I know that most of you don't know what's been going on. Sarah might have seen something on Facebook, I don't know. But last month, my brother died suddenly. He had a fatal heart attack at 49 years old, leaving two kids--11 & 14 years old. It's been incredibly difficult for my family. I was in Florida for several days with family.

Then of course, there was the wedding. My little girl is now married! I just got back from New York yesterday. It was bittersweet and chaotic and exhausting.

We thought we were going to move, hoping to find a place in Edina/Lake Harriet/Linden Hills. But we haven't had any luck and had a deadline on giving notice in our current place, so we've just decided to stay here for another year. So that's one stress off my plate, trying to find a place, pack and move.

Anyway, I really hope to see you guys again soon.

Barbie - So much going on in your life in such a short span of time. May your brother's immediate/extended family and friends find comfort and peace in the days ahead. Congrats on your daughter's marriage. I am looking forward to seeing the pics! I am so happy to hear that things are o.k. between you and your guy. When you posted that "I am supposed to be finding another place to live", you had me a bit worried.

Lynette - I read about the tree and your roof having a "get together". How are things going for you?

rhiansmom - How is your new scrap room progressing?

Robin, what a lovely way to put it--the tree and the roof having a "get together"! I love it!

It's messy and inconvenient but not really major. A LARGE oak limb fell from one of our trees, and smacked right into our roof. It punctured a nice hole about 8-10" diameter. Since it was a downpour at the time, that led to water pouring into the attic, then through the living room ceiling. So now we have a hole covered with a tarp, and a WET living room ceiling. Never did like that ceiling, it's old 70s style with those ugly fake beams. Kinda traumatic way to redecorate, though! We will need all the insulation removed from attic, roof fixed, new sheetrock ceiling, new light fixtures. We're just grateful our house is liveable, our contractor lives across the street, we weren't home and everybody is fine!

I think we have Robin, Sarah, Angel, for the 13th, and DeAnna, Lynette, and me for the 13th/14th.

It is potluck if you want to participate. If you don't want to participate don't feel like you have to.

Angel--I'm looking forward to meeting you! (Twinkie fwd your message to me.) She is not scrappin' over the summer so I took over the organizing.

It feels like forever since last time but it has only been a couple weeks. I'm going to have to start supplementing with some Archiver's crops.

Even if it's not raining, I will stop in and say Hi to everyone. Unfortunately, every weekend so far, it's been raining on our rides; I'm really good and getting wet. It usually doesn't start out raining, but since our weather people really can't predict the weather, we end up getting caught in the rain half ways through our ride.

Keep on Scrappin' and I will keep on Bikin' until I join you again!

whatever kind of food you would like, we usually have some salads, desserts, and some crockpot type food.. so anything you want is good! They do have some older cardstock from a store that used to be owned by them, many colors, but it's a different brand than I've ever seen. They have a bunch of other older products and some antiques for sale there too...

You can bring what ever you want for the potluck--except lutefisk--you could bring snacks, dessert, breakfast, main dish, salad, sandwiches, veggies, whatever. There is full kitchen minus and oven. There is a variety of soda in the fridge for $1. I'll be bringing a case of water to share if you're into water.

I haven't had very good luck finding the just right color cardstock there. Like Sarah said, it's older and the 'it' colors have changed. It's best to come prepared if you can.

I plan to bring a "Corn Relish Salad" that I have been wanting to try. I'm sure that you don't mind being my "guinea pigs" again. Right? I also plan on bringing lemon bars or something else lemony. There may be other things that jump into my scrappy bags too. Time will tell.

Yeah Barbie - it's right outside of Maple Grove, it's in a separate large area attached to someone's home, but it's very large and tons of space to work, etc. Let me know if you need more details, etc.. it's probably about 30 minutes from you I would think. It runs typically from about 9am - 11pm - but you could come or leave whenever you want. Only thing is they don't have a lot to buy there compared to our Archivers crop anyway ;> would love to see you!

Angel - I can drive since you did last time to St. Cloud, yes my sisters work is great, how about we meet about 8:15, that should be plenty early enough to get there at 9, we could do later too if you would rather sleep in a bit too, let me know what works best for you.
