Yes I'm already signed up for February and can't wait!

It's been a heck of a month and I ended up buying a cameo and a new computer for my scrapbook room. I'm down there playing around tonight plus I bought a bunch of new flair from etsy from a great seller and the flair is super professional looking!

Hope the weather holds out for you all and you have a great day!

OK, I am going to take a chance on driving myself, assuming the roads aren't too bad. I may not get there first thing though--I tend to run a bit late.

Anyone know if there will be electrical outlets for laptops if I want to digi-scrap?

So 94 was actually closed. It's open again now, but how bad is it still?

Rhian's Mom.. Yes we had fun, reason it sold out so quick is that it's very small - 20 people... but we got some good deals in the store, and had fun... Looking forward to the 9th already!

Thanks Angel for driving, I will next time!

Oh, I forgot.. Here's the links to the 2 different kit clubs I was talking about..

Currently I do this one: I like it because there 2 to pick from each month, and you can skip months and no specific number of months commitment.
Scraptastic

This one I used to do, it was cool for the 3 different mini kits you got in the Medley option:
Backporch Memories

I am going to try and finish up the pages I didn't last night and do some of the challenges here, so might see you around here today!

I'm sorry I didn't get to go yesterday.
I did want to tell everyone that Scrapbooks too in Bloomington is open again. I am going to try and crop there on Feb 2nd. The owner is at CHA this weekend ordering more new stuff!

I agree - It was a fun day. Although, we missed rhiansmom , Lynette and the gals that we haven't met yet.

For those are considering joining us sometime - We would love to see you at one of the crops! Take it from someone who tends toward the "timid" side - you will feel comfortable and fit right in. The group is very welcoming, diverse in age and in scrapbooking talent.

Lynette - How was the cruise?

Christina - We have tentatively planned to have our March crop at Scrapbooks Too.

To all - Don't forget, our next crop is at Archivers in Roseville on
Feb. 9th

CD is my "LSS" and I love it! I have heard the scrapbook section referred to before as a scrapbook store on steroids and yesterday Barbie referred to the store itself as a Hobby Lobby on Steroids. Angel, Sarah and Barbie had never been there before and I think that they were all looking forward to going back.

Rhiansmom - are you doing the challenges? Any else doing them?

I finished all my pages from last night today, and made them work for the challenges too! Since I shared on CHA page, figured I would share here too so you gals from the crop can see my finished stuff!

I want to check out Scrapbooks Too soon, just waiting for some of the new product to come in, we were talking about cropping there in March, dates likely late in March due to spring breaks for many.

Sarah, thanks for the links. I really liked CD but hardly got anything done! It was a slow scrapping day for me but I had a great time chatting with everyone. I worked on project life today and except for needing to do a couple of things on my title page I'm caught up. I am going to try to do a few of the challenges this week but may not have much time to scrapbook.

Glad to hear that you all like CD. Also glad to hear that it has different stuff that A's.

I'm glad Scrapbooks Too reopened. I go over to the store when I am getting skates sharpened at Westwood (we are very partial to Fred's sharpening). So while I'm waiting the 40-60 minutes for 2-3 pairs to get sharpened I usually head over there. I was wondering what I was going to do when it closed.

I've done 2 of the challenge LOs so far. I'm going to try to finish one more tonight before I go to bed.

I had a great time! Wasn't very productive, but had fun. What little I did get done was only because the other girls helped me out with my layout. (I was really struggling with way too many photos for the number of pages I was willing to do for this event.)

Crafts Direct is...WOW. Definitely going back again. Need more $$$ first, lol! The drive wasn't too bad--just a little over an hour from Uptown/St. Louis Park area. The scrap space was much smaller than I had expected, but it was nice.

I'm working on finishing those layouts tonight girls!

SB2 is getting new stuff in everyday. Remember, they just had the grand opening a little over a week or so ago.
The newer store has wider aisles, and more space between scrap tables. The fixtures are more "homey" than the industrial ones that the old one had (not saying that it wasn't good before).
If you need something ordered, they will special order it in.

What is the inventory levels like? I know it's new as the old owners sold everything (including the old microwave they hawked in at least five of their last emails.. sorry it made me smile each time I saw it) and once they are up and going I'll stop over every couple of months when I'm down that way but I was just wondering if it would be worth it to stop. I'm working in the Burnsville mall area but I live in the Chisago Lakes area so it isn't quite exactly on the way home.

The crop in Dayton (Twinkie Jo organized) was fun. The space is really nice--full kitchen (minus the stove), tons of dies and machines to use, paper on hand, some other supplies, big tables.

We're doing it again on Feb 9th. There might be some space available if anyone is interested contact Twinkie Jo.

Thank You Paisleys Garden; I'm glad you had fun at the Crop located in Dayton. I also had fun and can't wait until next month to do it all over again.

If anyone is interested in joining us. The Crop is in Dayton MN at Scrappin N Chattin. A very spacious facility with 6-6' tables and 8-4' tables, a small store stocked with loads of paper, tools that you can use, a photo machine, embellishments, and a calming atmosphere. The cost for this is 10.00 per day per person (plus purchases) and runs from 9-11 on Feb 9th and 9-5 (or later if you want) on Feb 10th. The cost does not include food or snacks, you can either bring your own or order from one of the many restaurants in the area.

Contact me if you are interested: twinkiejo2004@msn.com

It's been pretty quiet around this post lately.. Did anyone do anything scrappy this weekend? I finished the pages from our crop last weekend and put up some more 12x12 frames in my scrap space so I could hang some of my pages around for inspiration. I used the pages I did last weekend, as well as a few I put together along the way last week to fill the cha challenge here on 2 peas, it was a ton of fun. Didn't any time to scrap this weekend or get to Archivers to check out that charm necklace make and take they did this weekend. How about you all?

who all is signed up for Roseville for the 9th? Don't forget if you sign up in Jan for a crop, you get another free before 6/30.

Anyone go to Scrapbooks too for the CHA showing on Saturday?

Stay warm the next few days! Still liking it here Barbie???

I worked on some of the Christmas pages I did at CD. My nieces came over to use the cricut to decorate some cups they bought for friends with vinyl. I need to get started on some Valentines things and since I have today AND tomorrow off I hope I get something accomplished. I'll have to look into scrapbooks ltd for next weekend. Hi gang! I'm definitely coming on Feb. 9 to Archivers. I was sorry to miss the CD visit--gotta get up there for a scrappy product fix soon!

The cruise was WONDERFUL--relaxing, perfect weather, and just fun all around to hang out with our 19 and 22 yo dds in a media-free zone! I did not realize how much all four of us are under the sway of our phones/computers until we were out there, sitting in deck chairs or on the beach, cut off from the world...it was heaven! We sailed into Key West and all four of us were suddenly distracted again by our phones. So future vacations will be planned for the open ocean, remote back country, etc.

I visited SB2 last week--very, very light on inventory (but CHA orders should start arriving soon I hear). The place seems very spacious, light and bright as a result--would make a good crop environment I think. I only bought a couple pieces of paper on my visit.

I also stopped at my local Archivers (MG) to spend some Christmas money. Last Friday was the first I'd been in a SB store since our Dec. meeting at A's Roseville. This frozen thing is(currently) working for me! And the outside temps are definitely reinforcing that!

Paisleys Garden, Twinkiejo, Kristen & Kir spend - We would love to have you join us at our crops!

Lynette - I was happy to see your post and hear that you and your family had such a wonderful vacation! I am looking forward to seeing you again in Feb.

In answer to Sarah's question - I have been scrapping quite a bit this weekend. I have been adding the final details to the LO's that I started at CD and working on a few kit LO's that were given to me. Two of the LO's are 1 pagers and I have been adapting them to two pagers. It has been a challenge!

Thank You My Scrapper lady, but maybe some other time. I have had my Crop get-together dates set and reserved since November and I really like it at this facility. I'm able to spread out and bring my Cameo and computer without reducing my work area. The scrapping hours are great and it will give me a full 22-25 hours of scrap time, all for only 20.00 for the entire weekend (10.00/day); can't beat that.
I'm not a scrapper that plans ahead so I end up bringing everything but the kitchen sink so I can design my layouts as I go. So the Cameo and everything is a must have for me.

Thanks again; maybe we will meet at another event

I do have March dates of the 9th and 10th also reserved at the facility in Dayton and looking for more Scrappers to join us.

I am going to work on a few layouts. Just did one foe dd first dat of school this year. Painted a large chipboard number 8 and crackled it. Then a few hours after finishing the layout was reading emails from school that talked about 8 th graders registering for high school classes next year when it dawned on me, she's in 7 th grade this year!! no idea what I was thinking! Now waiting for the number 7 to dry and then figure out a way to fix the two spots the paper ripped a little. Thankfully it was on pop dots and not adhesive all over!

Michelle came over for a girls weekend, and we scrapped last night and all day today! I got 20 pages done in total for the 2 days, it was great! With the crappy weather we are supposed to have tomorrow, we are going to try and scrapbook together over Skype, anyone ever done that? basically video chat on our laptops while working on pages.. we'll see if it works! See you guys in less than 2 weeks!

Angel - I would love to see the LO that you created with the #7! Maybe, you could bring it to the crop in Feb.??

Sarah - It sounds like you are on a roll and having a great weekend! I haven't Skyped yet but, I am getting closer to making that a reality. DS gave me a laptop that he wasn't using. Now, all I am waiting for is DH to get the internet set up in my scrappy area.

OK, I have to admit that it was too cold even for me the past week or so. Insanely cold. Today was even miserable over in St. Paul at the Winter Carnival in Rice Park. The wind was brutal, and we were getting pelted by sleet. After the sleet turned to snow and the wind died down, it wasn't so bad.

I don't really get to do any scrappy projects on weekends--that's when Brent and I try to go out and do things around the city, or meet friends. We met some friends at Amore Coffee House in St. Paul this morning for a jam session, then we all went to Rice Park. We spent all day yesterday running errands and listening to a jam session at the Homestead Pickin' Parlor in Richfield.

Last week I spent a good bit of time working on Project Life from 2011, though. Got January through April complete.

Looking forward to the meetup at Archiver's on the 9th. Bringing a friend from the Photo Board with me.

Hi Everyone! I found out last week that my neighbor is a scrapbooker and today we met for the first time and drove to Archivers. It was a blast... we met up with her cousin who is also a scrapbooker and had lunch and shopped.

We were shopping away when all of a sudden we looked outside and it was snowing like crazy big snowflakes. We finished up quickly and made the 45 mile trek back home. Saw at least 10 cars in the ditch but we chatted it up and it made the ride go quickly.

I'm headed with her to a retreat in March that she goes to with her family ... i'm so excited that my neighbor in this tiny tiny neighborhood in the middle of nowhere scrapbooks!

Sarah, sounds like fun and you got a lot done.
Barbie, hopefully that's the end of the very cold temps! You made lots of progress on project life. Rhiansmom, glad you found someone close by to scrapbook with and that you made it home safely, the snow was really pretty though. I'm looking forward to Archivers in Feb. Do we know how many of us will be there?

Hey everyone! I'm a somewhat new pea from Bluffton, MN. I would love to join you all for a crop sometime! I'm about 3 hours north of MSP, so the St. Cloud area would be a bit closer. I'll be on the lookout. Our LSS does some crops here and there, but with 3 kids 3 & under and a couple businesses we own, life gets pretty hectic to try to get away. Our last baby is 2 months old, so starting next year I'm hoping to get my time to scrap! I'm lucky to get a couple pages done a month lately... Sorry this post got so long. Hope to meet you all someday!

Welcome mamaofdudes! We loved crafts direct so I think we plan to go back there again sometime. You are welcome to join us in Roseville on the 9th at Archivers if you like.

Angel, I will call tonight and see how many have signed up, assuming those that want to have already remember if you book a crop by 1/31 you get a seat to use by June!

Have a Nice Day!
