I would have loved to join you all on the 9th, but it's my middle son's second birthday party. I should *probably* be here for that. Next time!

I truly wish that we could all get together at one time! Just imagine what that would be like - LOL. We have discussed having the March crop at Scrapbooks Too in Bloomington but, nothing has been written in stone yet.

If ladies from other areas would like to suggest locations for future crops please, feel free to do so.

Scrappin N Chattin in Dayton has a large scrap area. They have 6- 6' tables and 6-8 4' tables in their facility. It's a great place to scrap!

How many people can they accommodate? I think we keep picking stores because many of us drive in and it's our chance to shop/crop all at once.

I agree with rhiansmom about Scrappin N Chattin. It does sound like fun and we do keep it in mind so; one day it may be the one we pick.

Nance - I'm sorry to hear that you can't attend on the 9th. We do plan on meeting again in March. If you watch the thread, you will know when and where we are meeting. We would love to see you there!

FYI Myscrapperlady: Twinkie already has crops scheduled for Scrappin' & Chattin' for the weekends of Feb 9th and Mar 9th and anyone can sign up.

Twinkie-are you sure about the tables at S&C? Aren't they all 6'? How many spots are still open for Feb and Mar?

Hoping to join you all in March.

I stopped in Scrapbooks, Too today. I was down in Bloomington getting the skates sharpened. As someone else mentioned, very limited in inventory. Lots of SEI and Bo Bunny. They told me they are getting more inventory in so I stop by in few weeks next time I go down there.

I have the following openings for the Crops that I scheduled at Scrappin N Chattin located in Dayton.

Feb 9th, I have 6 openings; (9am-11pm or later if you choose)
Feb 10th, I have 7 openings (9am-5pm or later if you choose)

March 9th, I have 7 openings (9am-11pm or later if you choose)
March 10th, I have 8 openings. (9am-5pm or later if you choose)

At Scrappin N Chatting, they have room for up to 16 scrappers according to their website. I like to have only 12-13 so everyone can spread out a bit.

Scrappin N Chatting does have a little store within their facility with plenty of different papers and embellishments, crafting tools to use, a photo machine that works awesome. They also have a full kitchen (minus a stove) that can be used along with candies and drinks to purchase if you choose or bring your own drink and food and store in the fridge. Around the area, there is a lot of fast food restaurants, take out restaurants in which some places deliver, and a few restaurants that you can enjoy a sit down dinner or lunch if you choose. If everyone agrees, we could also do a pot luck for the meals. As for shopping there are a few places that are within a 10-15 minute drive as in: Joann's, Michael's, Achiver's, Target (really close by) Walmart, etc.

The cost is only 10.00 per person/per day for the use of their facility, plus any extras that you purchase at the store. It is a non-smoking/drinking establishment. It is well lit, quiet, has lots of plug in's for all the electronic cutters, and even has Satelite TV if there is a show that people feel they just can't miss watching.

Just contact me if you would like to attend any of the dates listed above: twinkiejo2004@msn.com.

Yes Paisleys Garden; I was wrong about their tables, according to their website, it is 8-4' tables and 6-8' tables. the ones behind where you were sitting last time are the big tables and she only had 6 of the 4' tables set up for us.

I hope I answered everyone questions: they do have a website which is: www.scrappinnchattin.com

Have a wonderful day!

Hello MN Peas! I just noticed this thread and thought that I would pop in! I live in Belle Plaine, just south of the Twin Cities. I would love to get to know some more scrappers in the area!

I did a Saturday night crop once at Scrapbooks Too, but that was before they changed to the new store. I haven't been there since it has changed. I love Crafts Direct in St. Cloud... I wish there was one in the Twin Cities! All of the Archivers are fairly close to me as well, so I would be able to make some of those crops too. I will just have to watch the thread and see what works out with my schedule! I am hospital nurse and I currently work every other weekend, so that doesn't leave much extra time for me on the weekends. I am switching to every third weekend in April though!

It is great to meet all of you MN girls!

Renee & Andrea - We would love to have you join us! If you know what your schedules are and wouldn't mind sharing the info, it would help us when we plan the crops. We may not be able to work around them but, we would certainly give it a valiant effort!

I'm looking forward to seeing as many Peas as possible on Feb. 9th!!

I called Roseville Archivers today and currently we are 7 Peas in our group, there is 1 spot left at our 2 tables, and then a few at other tables scattered as well, but getting very full. Reminder that today is also the last day to book and get another date free! So if anyone is still wanting to come ont he 9th, call the Rosevillle Archivers today!

So what does everyone want to do for March? We had talked about Scrapbooks Too, hoping they would have more stuff.. I know that there are tons of spring breaks in March, so what works for everyone? We also could go the Dayton location depending on where people live that are wanting to join.

I'll start with proposal for March, others can weigh in and we can finalize at the 9th crop with the folks there and the input from others here.. Only weekend I am booked is 2nd-3rd.

That leaves the 9th, 16th, 23rd, or 30th.. post what works for you and we'll try to accomidate the most of us we can, or we can choose 2 dates and locations to try and work around the spring break schedules!

Have a Nice Day!

I'm going to a weekend retreat over the March 15th weekend but if that ended up being our date I would understand as I'm already doing something scrappy that weekend

We had a few contractors to the house to give us bids on finishing our basement (its a walkout and I have a large window so not too depressing) and creating my scrapbook room. Now just waiting for the estimates to come back and pick one (one is out because I just couldn't stand him) and then I have to pack up my scrapbook supplies for awhile. I need to find another corner of this house to set up a temporary table because I do need to scrapbook some!

Sorry to be jumping in so late in the month. I completely forgot that you guys were going to try to get together monthly, and I am sorry I missed the outing to Crafts Direct! I've never been there, but every time we drive through St Cloud I always try to persuade my DH to stop.

It might be a bit to late for me to plan on the Roseville Archiver crop, but I am very interested in planning something at Scrapbooks Too! I stopped in there a few weeks ago, during CHA, and they didn't have a lot but they've been posting on FB that new stuff is coming in every day. I was thinking of trying to get over there on Saturday just to say hi.

I was able to attend a crop last Friday night that was put on by a CMC that I've known for a while, but I was never her customer. It was a great crop space, a church over in Lakeville, and it was very nicely done. They have another one the second weekend in April that I will be attending. PM me if you are interested in attending and I can give you the details.

Hopefully I will see you soon!

Hi Lynner - I hope that you can join us soon!

Hhhmmm, Sarah can't do the March crop the first week, rhiansmom can't the third week, I would prefer not to the second week and I think Angel has something going the fourth week. Yikes! Maybe, we will have to through the dates in a hat and draw. LOL

I am still interested in Scrapbooks Too for March. Scrappin N Chattin sounds great but, the view would be better when the Frozen North thaws. Also, if we wanted to go out for lunch or shopping the weather would be better for that too.

Yeah Robin - I suspected March was going to be a challenge... So we should probably just see if we can make different plans in 2 different plans for smaller groups?

rhiansmom - would love to be able to design a scrapspace from scratch like that - what fun!!!

Good to see several new peas finding us too!

If it ends up being the 15th I'll understand ... I'm excited for the retreat with my new scrappy neighbor!

I did the Studio Calico class for February and we got our first challenge today... I'm off to go and try something fun (and it can involve the Cameo so double excited)!

Would everyone be o.k. withing planning for the 23rd of March? That way everyone that has checked in so far can make it. If we wait until the 30th, it will be the day before Easter and I know that would be a little hectic here as I am sure it would be for some of you too.

I would be in for Pine City. My place is still available. Have enough room for up to 12 scrappers. Lots of plug ins. Wifi, Cricut with about 70 carts.

Let me know I can do most any Saturday or Sunday dates.

I am also good with March 23rd, seems the most attendance, let's finalize next week... I agree with Rhiansmom - maybe we wait until April for Scrapbooks Too, does seem they are still slowly getting things in???

March 9th & 16th are out for me. Any other weekend works.

I'm good with anyplace within a 90 minute drive. I probably wouldn't spend the night. Pine City is about the same distance for me that Crafts Direct was.

Barbie - Since, you started the January thread, would you mind just doing an edit so; it reads "MINNESOTA PEAS"? Then we can continue to use the same thread without having to change the title or start a new thread each month. It would also make it easier if we want to refer back to something that was posted earlier.

I live about 1 hour from St. Paul. It only takes us about 45 to 50 minutes to get to MOA. I live straight up 65. Or you can drive up 35W to North Branch and cut over to Cambridge on 95.

We could potluck or go to Applebees or order Pizza. I could even make Pizza.

I called pine city because there is nothing on their calendar for a scrapbook day anytime soon. They could do 10-10pm for $10 each you get a sandwich type lunch and pop, maybe more, on March 23 as long as we have 4-5 people that commit and pay ASAP so they can have staff working that night. I would be fine with going to Sylvia's also.
