Glad you'll be able to join us Nance107! Anyone else interested, just call and ask for Two Peas group (or Sarah at the Archivers in Roseville, I reserved 2 tables for us again. We usually go during the day and then stay for the 5-11 crop, but folks can do either or if they can't make all day..

For April -
I am on vacation the weekend before that - 12-14th, so for us to make it work would mean the 6th or the 27th of April.. Anyone else have a preference? We're talking about Scrapbooks Too for April right?

Have a Nice Day!

My preference for April would be the late date--going on a quilt retreat April 5-7. Will it be spring yet?

At this point, either date will work for me.

Nance 107 - I'm sorry that I am going to miss meeting you next month.

Lynette - Quilting is another interest of mine. I would love to hear about what you have done and about the retreat.

I have nothing planned in April that I know of at this point, so any date is good for me. March and June were my busy months.

Something weird going on.. I posted a response on my phone and I see it, but now on my PC I don't... Anyway - Here's what I said..

Robin - It was great running into you at garage sale and M's yesterday! I am thinking about going to Dayton crop on the 9th too, sad we won't see you guys at the March crop. Maybe we should rethink location for April, Scrapbooks Too still pretty bare..

I am also going to sign up for the 9th. Who is in for the 23rd of March and have you called Archivers yet? I think I saw Nance107 and Angel are planning on coming, and I know my friend Michelle also signed up - Lynette? Anyone else we have 2 tables reserved and would love to meet some other peas!

Sarah - It was great to run into you too!

I agree with Sarah about Scrapbboks Too. Even with the new CHA items arriving, I still think that the store would be pretty empty in April. If we do change the location, does anyone have alternative ideas on where to meet.

We could go back to Crafts Direct or a different Archivers or Pine City?

I definitely plan to attend 3/23 but have not signed up--my dd's 20th birthday is the next day, and we need to make birthday plans! Hopefully this weekend!

So who went to the SB2 garage sale? Based on comments here, I'm guessing it was still pretty empty? It's a 45 minute drive for me, so unless I'm in the area (not often) I don't want to make a special trip. But I definitely want that store to do well, so I can sell at their garage sale again, LOL!

Thanks for the well wishes, I am assuming she was saying because of where I work... It certainly isn't fun right now but I am good.

Lynette - Michelle and I went to the garage sale and ran into Robin there as well, it was still preset bare. I want it to do well too, but hard to see it better within a month.

Sarah - Thanks for the update. I hope that everything at work goes as smothly as possible for you.

Lynette - I agree with Sarah. I don't think that Scrapbooks Too will have much in the store by April, even with new CHA items that they are receiving.

There were some MME brads for $9. I did a double take and checked a couple packages. Yep, $9. For MME brads. Not going to do well with prices like that.

yeah, I saw MME 6x6 pads for $8.99 and enamel dots for $6.00 both which I thought were pretty high. I bought some Elle paper, and it was $1.39 a sheet too.

I am also signed up to go to the Dayton crop of TwinkieJo's on Sat. 9th, I have lots of time available in March, and good to keep busy for me right now.. so I will be going to that and the 23rd crop.

I like either Pine City (we'll have to see if they have a date in April or if that deal Angel called on for March is still good..

My March is way too full of other things. I'm sewing the costumes for the children's musical at our church, tomorrow I have 14 circle skirts to sew and some more to cut out for others to sew! I finished my 35 LOs from LOAD this month tonight (whew!) but it's very gratifying to see that stack. Now the scrap stuff gets put away and the sewing overtakes the craft room! By 3/23 I can go back to scrapping....can't wait! Right now scrapping is more motivating than sewing!

Totally bummed, but I am going to miss the 23rd, too. Brent is leaving for Alaska that evening. I'l be spending the day with him and taking him to the airport after dinner.

I'm just bummed I'm missing all the fun this month!

Brent's going to Anchorage on business, so he won't have much time to do anything fun. We even considered paying out of pocket for me to go with him, but realized it would be a waste of a LOT of money with how little free time he will have and we would be stuck in the city and not able to explore the beauty outside the city.

And his kids are flying in this weekend and staying for 10 days, so no scrapping plans during that time.

Oh well....hopefully next month will work out better...

nance 107 - March was a tough month to schedule do to everyone's commitments. We all found that the 23rd would work and then life happened. Even if we changed the date, there would be someone that couldn't attend. Have a great time at the crop! We'll look forward to meeting you in the future!!

Yeah, there was just no winning with the March schedule. I thought I was good to go--planned it around the kids spring break and everything. But then this trip came up for Brent. So really, every other weekend in March is shot for me, between the kids being here two weekends, Brent's trip, and then a concert the last weekend...

I'll just have to catch up with you guys in April!

I am IN! I managed to convince my entire family that they WANT to celebrate dd's birthday with lunch at someplace fun on Saturday! I was thinking Fogo de Chao but sadly they are only open for lunch weekdays. So now I just have to find a place to have lunch! Any good ideas?

I will call Archivers in the morning...looking at the clock, I'd say they just closed. See you on the twenty-third!

Us the melting pot still open? I don't know if they do lunch but fondue is a fun idea.

Or what about cossetta's in St. Paul that place is a blast. Lots of fun places like that on St. Paul, pizza Lucia, so many more I can't remember the names!

So glad you are coming!

Just an FYI as the next date is scheduled for April -

Someone mentioned the possibility of going to Crafts Direct again, They do have a crop on April 6th and an open date on April 13th. I know that Nietra and I will be at a retreat on the 13th. It is doubtful if I would be able to attend a crop on the 6th but,it is not definite at this time. I hope that we can find a date that works for everyone in April. I would love to see our group grow.

Since; I will be in the area on the 23rd, I called Pine City to find out more about the Garage Sale. They will be holding the sale on April 6th instead. On the 23rd they will be having a crop. I wish we had known so; we could have gone as planned. Big bummer!

Yeah, they had told Angel we couldn't after we booked it, so they must have just moved it again. Robin - Can you check with them for the April 27th date when you are there? See if you can reserve for atleast 6 they said if we had that many last time we could do it... Does that work for everyone?

For the weekend of April 5-7th, there is another group on the MN peas thread here going to that Scrappin N Chattin place in Rodgers/Dayton area - I think I might sign up for just Saturday with them if I can, they are doing all 3 days if anyone else would like to do that too... Saturday they are planning a trip to Crafts Direct, I think I will skip that since I was just there yesterday and spent a fortune!

Also saw that Crafts direct is doing their annual event at the Moose lodge (I think) the weekend of May 4th. I am thinking about getting that free hotel room for that Friday night and doing both days, depending on the rest of April's schedule, will see when they put out the final details...

Don't forget we'll probably want to do another Archivers date for those that aren't joining us this month since they all have their free one to use up by June 30th...

No, problem with Pine City. I will reserve it while I am there unless the others veto that idea. I was going to sign up for Sun. at Scrappin N Chattin because, I didn't want to go on the Crafts Direct Trip. As long as I know that you are staying on Sat. I will sign up for that instead. I plan on spending the day creating additional kits if I need them for the retreat. If I don't need them, I will scarp.

Gang, I'm sorry to report I won't be able to make it March 23rd. 22yo dd was home this weekend, and shared with us her summer/life plans. She graduates May 11, then will head within the week to her summer job (either in Yellowstone, or on a guest ranch in Oregon). She doesn't plan to return home after that, expects to work seasonal ranch or park jobs for the next few years. This is not a surprise AT ALL, but it suddenly makes me realize how precious the time with her is! She'll be home for about 30 hours over next weekend, and although I love scrapping with you all, right now I'm not willing to give up some of those precious hours! So have a good time scrapping on Saturday, I'll be with my family making memories, ok?
