Hi glitter girl,
With all the different beautiful background stamps out there i have many in my collection. However I have not been able to use this stamps directly on the page. I find that I just don't know what to do with them on the layout. Can you help with some more inspirations?

Thanks

Jo

Hey joschloss - I just saw Jen Gallacher's Seeing Double Workshop and she shows how she uses a bunch of stamps, including a large background stamp!

She also shows you her technique for stamping a large background stamp (lay the inked stamp image up and place your cardstock on top, then brayer it - genius!).

Hope that helps in your search. I'm sure Glitter Girl will have more suggestions/tips too!

Here is a layout where I stamped the background stamp in the corners, created two embossed corners, and then put a photo over the middle where everything came together to "hide the mess." I like to do things like that a lot.

You can use a stamp positioner and stamp a whole background. You can use different colored EP sprinkled on lightly in different areas to give a motled color effect or chalks would be pretty too. You could use a grid design. A resist technique with them.

You can also get some good ideas from Nichol Magourik's Scrapbook Stamping videos, under the Classes and Events tab. They're free and very inspiring!
