Sorry guys, I'm just now getting the list posted. I've been sick and haven't had a chance to get my list together.

So here's your swap mate for the February tag. Once your tag has been received, please post them here so we can all see!

Happy crafting!!!

HowdyHeidi and Taradid

SWEETLYmade and Looser

SWLady and YellowCherrios

ChristinMay and Lovepug2

Caribbeangirl and Lovepug2

I think I got everyone that signed up and I think I got everyone different partners from last month.

Just PM your swapmate for their address. The goal is to have it sent out by the Feb. 5th. Any questions just let me know!

Thank you, LeighAnn! We've been concerned about you--not just about your swap (which is such fun)!

Thanks for the match-ups, pal!

Saw where 'flu season' is well underway! Hope you don't 'got' & feel better soon. Take care!

I still have not heard from Marshia, my January swap partner and continue to keep her in my thoughts that all is well with her. But I wanted to share my tag with all of you so I posted my January tag in the gallery. Thanks for looking!

Ditto on 'concerned about Marshia'. Sending her good thots.

'Sweetly' & I exchanged addresses via PM. Had to chuckle & hope she doesn't mind if I gently 'out' her... She shared that she was a 'little' intimidated having me as a swapmate.

Know what?! Every tag I've seen has blown me away! Regardless of how long we've been stamping/crafting, everyone who has joined this or other swaps has always great work! Just 'cause some of us have a few more tecniques & practice under our belts doesn't make us 'better'.

And 'creativity' is 'catching'. Every time I see a new project, I learn or am reminded of something that benefits me craftwise!

I'm down to make my last few choices for the Feb. tag--fiber & backing. I have strong candidates for both so should be able to finish & ship by week's end.

Hooray for me! I mailed my Feb. Tag! LOL...I abided 'strictly' by the month's 'guidelines'.

Figure I'll probably get some inspiration for the March tag during Winterfest...

Sent you a PM, pal. Glad you liked it! I really liked the way it turned out & (trust me) I usually run close to (or late) for deadlines.

Yours took on a life of its own & was very different from my initial concept. Same thing is happening with the tag I'm doing for Marshia.

Can't wait to see what PUG has in store for March! Maybe March Hares,
March Madness (don't follow basketball) or March Winds... Given Pug's interesting 'mind' I'm sure she'll come up with a wonderfully 'strange' challenge for the swap!

No pressure huh, Daniel!

I've got a couple of surprises in store for March, and I think y'all are gonna like them!

I'm amazed at how eager you guys are and on the ball of getting the February tag done. Makes me happy!

Heidi - Your tag arrived today and I am really enjoying it! Is it wrong to admit that I want to take the tag apart just to figure out how you got that red ribbon to lay so neatly (I see from your directions that you stapled it, but still!). I have folded ribbon envy - Is there some kind of support group for that?

I just ordered some new embossing folders, so I WILL be giving that background technique a try.

I am sort of a chaotic stamper and really appreciate seeing such a clean and graphic tag (the elements you chose are just right!). When I look at the tag you sent, I fell the relaxation starting - like I just had a sip of that coffee and I am with good company.

Thanks again for sharing your talents with me! I hope to have your tag out to you next week.

Tara, I'm glad the tag arrived and that you are enjoying it. Two things. I find it very interesting that you are admiring the ribbon for being so neat and flat, because I thought I was being "cute" (as my dad says) and doing it NOT neatly on purpose! So that comment gave me a chuckle. Different perspectives!

Also, I did not actually get as much resist I was looking for in the embossed resist, but I just decided to go with it. It is fun and I will be trying again too.

Here is my tag.

LOL, Tara! I sooo hearya about the occasional urge to first enjoy the piece then the temptation to deconstruct to see how the magician did the 'trick'.

Pleated ribbon is a neat addition to lots of projects. So is ruched ribbon. For those unfamiliar with the term, ruching (roosh-ing) is a gathered strip. I often do it with wire-edge ribbons. Cut a piece 1 1/2-2 times the length needed & gather along both edges.

Great tag, Heidi!

Marshia's Feb tag came today. What a 'confection'! And very 'manly' Even has a tag-holder card which is just killer lovely!

Alas... My tag to her missed today's mail pickup. Means I can't mail 'til Tues (no mail on monday--MLK Day).

Based on the tags so far, Feb.'s look to be as wonderful as Jan.'s

February Tag Swap

I'm lovin' the tag challenge. It's challenging and liberating at the same time. No sentiment required.

Daniel, thanks for agreeing to swap with me. I'll look forward to seeing your creation.

Marshia. The pleasure was truly mine! Yours from me is set for tomorrow's mail pickup.

I, too, am just loving this ongoing swap! 'Course I had one of those 'wicked' thots... Do you suppose when we do the 5th month's tag, Pug will want our images to be 'appliances'? Think about it.

Just got off a 'landline' with Beady (Kathy). She's had a rough time last couple of weeks with the wrist & more. But! She wants to play. So we're gonna do a swap for Feb tag. If anyone else is interested in sending her a tag for Feb as a 'one way share'? PM me for her address.

My Feb tag to Marshia is out for pickup. Starting my tag for Beady.

Tessa. Welcome & glad you want to play. Lovepug (LeighAnn) hosts the monthly tag swap & starts a new thread for each month so anyone can signup or take a break as needed. You might want to PM her. There's still time to swap a Feb tag if someone offers to partner up. I'd offer, but I'm a bit pressed with other projects at this time.

Tessa, Welcome to the stamping board!

I sent you a Peamail about the swaps.

Marshia, I just checked out your tag you sent Daniel. Gorgeous and Manly! Great work!!!

I'm still finishing mine up and I hope to get them out in the next day or so. Also, I'm working on my idea for the March tag and will be posting the sign up a little later this week.

So pleased to 'see' you with us again!

Hope you're planning to do a March tag. LeighAnn's starting to raise the bar & that's fun!

Daniel, with your Feb. tag to Marshia, the dove is stamped on the original teal CS right?--it wasn't adhered to it later? B/c I see that the dove is at the top of the tag and then the tag has half of a typical top for a tag--so did you cut this dove out and then go into half of a "typical tag topper"? (hope that makes sense!)

Excellent question, Melissa! TFA!

For both the 'one heart' & 'masked tag' I did not do 'top' layering. Instead I stamped the images & then cut out the tag. That allowed me to keep the tag shape basically rectangular while shaping top & sides as needed.

For me it actually cut down on the amount of fussy cutting needed. HTH.

That is cool Daniel--that's what I thought you probably did but wanted to check. I like how it gives the illusion that the bird was flying in front of the tag's top edge. Great idea and interest point (for me at least!)
