JCP question got me thinking...

I buy most of my clothes from the following 3 stores:

Target - convenient
Ann Taylor Loft - casual/work
Anthropologie - nice go out/vacation/event clothes

What about you?

Used to get dressy stuff from Cold Water Creek but they changed their focus, same for Lands' End and Talbots. Both used to have "classics" and have gone over to "fads"

This is a tough one, as I tend to spread out with a lot of different stores with clothes.

Stein Mart for Jeans (Earl Jeans and Nine West are my best friends)
Macy's
Target for Work out clothes

Alternates: Black/White, Anne Taylor Loft, Local Boutiques, and Downeast Basics.

Goodwill

Can't really think of much else. Our Goodwill gets some pretty great stuff. I can pick up new (after season) Banana, Loft, Gap, Talbots, J Jill, and more. Couple weeks ago, picked up a cute Betsey Johnson jacket. Also find Tahari there periodically. I don't really need much, so checking them out on 1/2 price day takes care of anything I might want to add.

If I were to add 2 more, they'd be labels: I love Alice + Olivia and I love Kate Spade. Both are total splurges but when the rest of my wardrobe comes from Goodwill, I can pick up a dress now and again at a high-end store.

I rarely shop for myself anymore since I'm no longer working. If I do, it's usually just picking up an item I spot while shopping for DD which could be anywhere. But for the most part if I'm actually looking for me:

Kohl's for basics.

Express for jeans or if I need a dress or professionalish item.

Local T-shirt printer all those shirts you're obligated to buy because they are a fundraiser for the school or DD's sports team. Seriously, at least half of the tops I wear on a regular basis now are the school colors.

I read some of the answers. I fail to see how you would consider some of this as crappy.

Mainly Kohl's. The clothes are nice enough, but inexpensive enough that if they get ruined at work it won't break me.

*JCP (prices and good seasonal selections)
*Talbots (love their natural materials for clothes and shoes)
*Bravissimo for undergarments, especially if cost weren't an issue...hey I can dream!

Coldwater Creek (it fits my age and conservative style!)

Nordstrom (I can get just about everything there)

And ... and ... I can't really think of a third. My sister sends me a lot of her hand-me-downs, and she has FABULOUS hand-me-downs (her annual clothing budget is probably more than I make in a year).

I buy a lot of clothes for my boys at Penney's, Target, and the Levi's website. My husband buys most of his own clothes.

Wow you guys. What a bunch of crappy stores.

I love ya, Yubon. You remind me of my teenagers. I am trying to teach them to use filters instead of blurting out everything that is on their minds at any given time.
