I'm doing my son's baby book with the baby edition of project life. I had 2 pages printed at Persnickety Prints (my first ones) and was a little blown away by how big they were. Once I put them in the 12x12 album, it just seems sooo bulky. Does anyone else have Project Life printed in 8x8? (I wish I would have also ordered some 8x8 prints to compare!) |

12x12 *is* really big. I've done quite a few layouts that size and am still surprised by them, lol. I started project life last year at that size and puttered out half way through. This year, I'm doing 8.5x11 but I think 8x8 would work wonderfully! I'd re-order the same ones you've had printed at that size and compare to see what you think |

I think that is part of the reason I love my 8x8 books so much. 12x12 seemed so big. And I can imagine doing my digital LOs that big--they would really seem big. My 8x8 seems just right. |

Thank you for the suggestions. I can't wait to see what the 8x8's look like! |

One other related question...if I want to print 8x8, then shouldn't I just do my layout in 8x8? I know many of you do your layouts in 12x12. What is the benefit of doing them in 12x12 if you're going to print 8x8? |

I actually design in 12x12 and print 8x8 books. As long as it is the same dimensions--like square--any size square will do. I even make some of mine a tad bigger than 12 x 12 to accommodate the design I want to use. The reason I use 12x12 is because it is easier for me to do the math when cropping my pictures and getting them placed for my design. For some reason the math doesn't come to me as well in 8x8 LOL. |

If you wanted to get a book made vs printing the individual pages it seems like there are sales quite often on 8" x 8" more than the other sizes |

I print all in 8x8 size. I scrap in 12x12 though. I printed my first layouts as 12x12 after doing that size with traditional scrapbooking but to me the digital version was too big. |
